I am not someone who ENJOYED working out, but I knew that I had to get some movement into my life for my mental and physical health. I never thought I would look forward to a workout class until I found Barre3. Don’t get me wrong- it is a HARD workout and I am consistently pushing myself. But the instructors are incredibly welcoming and always offer modifications (both easier and more challenging). The best part is that they don’t make comments about weight loss or gain or anything— they are simply concerned with movement and doing what makes your body feel good.

Not all the studio’s fault but barre isn’t for everyone! It was my first barre class. First, I was wayyy too hot and my sweating was distracting to me- AC should be higher. Also, I thought we’d use the bar more, but we didn’t use it all that much! I can do Pilates/aerobics at different studios or at home. I thought we’d do some cool and different ballet moves but it was mostly familiar exercises. Also, crowded, as everyone says. If you like barre3 already you’ll probably like this but if you don’t like sweat messing up your contacts and you already run/swim/do yoga and Pilates I don’t see what this adds. A lot of people had bad form. I like iyengar yoga classes bc of their insistence on form and getting my aerobic through running and swimming.

I'm so happy that this studio was available with ClassPass and that I still had some credits to use. This wasn't my first class there but definetly the most satisfying. Maybe it was the instructor, Lauren. I liked it so much that I'll get a package for my daughter as she commutes to the city several times per week. The place is beautiful, airy, and bright, the workout was hard but doable. The instructions were clear. Love 100%!

Insanely competent instructors running you through a half barre half aerobics workout. Very cool and good for both advanced and less advanced. I have multiple injuries and feel very comfortable here— they know their stuff

Beautiful loft studio space with lots of south-facing natural light. Friendly and welcoming staff and instructors that make you feel at home in the space. Body-positive classes suitable for all levels with many modifications offered.

Love the classes here. The instructors are so energetic and fun. The studio is cute and clean. Definitely glad I started off the year with this studio.

I've been a Barre3 fan for years now but the last six months at this location have amazon! This studio has truly talent and creative instructors so class always feel new. The desk team is very helpful and friendly. The studio has two changing rooms and a bathroom with some amenities (dry shampoo, tampons, spray deodorant, makeup wipes, etc). However, there are no showers. My only real complaint is I live pretty far so being part of the studio is a real time and financial commitment for me.

I found Barre3 on ClassPass but ended up getting my own membership because I just really love the community. I bring people when they come out of town and they love it (and are shocked at how hard it is!). Lovely light and bright space, instructors are very inclusive and considerate of all levels. And most of all their music is AWESOME. I’ve discovered so many songs through them that are on repeat in my daily life :-) Highly recommend!!

I go to different barre classes and this place is my favorite. The classes are always very engaging and the pace is perfect. Beginners can totally keep up but it never bores you if you are a regular. The location is also a plus for me.

I love barre3 so much!! I’ve never been a fan of working out at all, but this workout makes me feel so strong and powerful, and all the instructors and staff are so sweet and encouraging. Cannot recommend enough!

Standard Barre 3 studio. Good workout. Nice staff. Don’t love that it’s on the second floor but still an actual workout.

I used to love going to Barre3 but the bad management (down right evil and mean) made me find another workout studio. During the pandemic I tried the global studio started by the founder - this is great! I would recommend that :). There are tons of workout options in NYC and if you want to be treated well go somewhere else.

I like this studio. Nice space. Clear and informed instructors. Can go as hard or as light as you want. Just cubbies - no lockers - but there's a receptionist watching.

Beautiful studio, friendly staff, clean and they verify vaccination status. Which is appreciated. Awesome intro package and incentive to take an extra free class. As far as the Barre workout, we did not use the barre rather it was there is I needed it for stability. The barre primarily was a resting spot for the exercise ball. It is more of a cardio workout with some focused smaller movements but I think the exhaustion that occurs with cardio makes for sloppy form when it comes to micro movements. I didn’t want to take another class and be too sore again where I could barely walk for days. Not a good fit for me but try it out, maybe a good fit for you.

I have been coming to barre3 for over a year now. I have never been an athlete or a fitness person, but barre3 has taught me so much about muscles, form, posture, mindfulness and caring for my body. The instructors are total pros & I always feel so welcome here.

👍👍 It is an amazing stay for people that really just need a bed for the night in the middle of New York. We stayed for a week and first of all the location is unbeatable. Right next to central park and even in a 20 minutes walk distance to time square. I absolutely loved the immense gym. Alone for the...
