πŸ‘πŸ‘ I never write reviews, but when I saw this had a 4.3, I felt compelled to write a 5 star review. I've been a member of probably a dozen gyms in Brooklyn and the City, including a few Equinox locations and higher cost boutique gyms in Brooklyn. Body Elite is EASILY my favorite gym in all of the city... People often mention collapsed, classes,

I've been going here for years. It's obviously no Equinox, but the staff is friendly, they have everything I need, and prices are fair. They did a pretty much major renovation last year which gave it a much-needed facelift. they have a lot of classes that come with membership so definitely take advantage of those. Nick is an excellent trainer who I highly recommend.

I like coming here and using the recumbent bikes - the front desk staff are very pleasant and it's really crowded when I come in (weekday mornings usually). The membership includes a bunch of classes; keep meaning to try them. I'm a fan!

This great gym that I frequented in early 2000s just fully collapsed just a short while ago, so one might have to figure out where else to mail their cancellation letters.

According to news reports the building collapsed today, probably due to all of the weight.

After my workouts here, I often feel like I'm going to collapse into a pile of rubble.

Clean gym, but best part is the ladies bootcamp, "fit moms" or something like. It kicked my butt. Great work out and was really fun! I'm ready to be a fit mom now.

This place deserves all the 5 star reviews. Was just in town for the weekend and looking for a place to workout, and this place was close to my AirBnB. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice. Every person gets one free workout so no charge for my first visit, $20 for a day pass after that - wonderful policy for out of towners. The guy showed me around - place and workout equipment are very clean and nice. Place is well organized with its multiple floors and not crowded at all. Would 100% come here again and join if I lived in Brooklyn

This building just collapsed. Safe to say it isn’t going to reopen.

Love how friendly the staff are to the clients. Every one is very helpful. Classes offered are varied, and they always make newcomers feel welcome at the same time giving attention to those that come regularly. They keep a very clean environment throughout the whole gym.

Clean, frequent improvements, friendly, casual. The cardio is at the street level but locker rooms and all else (weights, group studio, spin) are on upper floors of the walkup building and there's a lower level too. Not very accessible. Great option for neighborhood gym.

I never write reviews, but when I saw this had a 4.3, I felt compelled to write a 5 star review. I've been a member of probably a dozen gyms in Brooklyn and the City, including a few Equinox locations and higher cost boutique gyms in Brooklyn. Body Elite is EASILY my favorite gym in all of the city. It's almost silly how affordable it is considering all that they give you. #1) They keep the main floor perfectly chilled in the hot summer months for those of us who are runners and have to run on treadmills to stay in shape during the heat. There is never a wait and they have great TVs and working equipment. #2) The gym is immaculate. The two main people they have keeping the place clean should be given a nice trip somewhere because they work harder than anyone I've ever seen in a gym to keep the place sparkling. They also aren't the type who 'vacuum around you,' to make you feel rushed or uncomfortable right before the gym closes. #3) I don't take classes myself, but they have so many fantastic classes here that I am actually considering doing one of the boot camps or spinning classes. They look so fun and the people coming out all seem like a small tight knit community. It is very Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill. No egos , no 'look at me,' types. Just people who want to get fit and have fun. #4) The trainers are all super cool and don't act like they own the place. We ALL KNOW how annoying it is when trainers hog the equipment for their clients and make everyone else on the floor feel uncomfortable or intimidated. The staff also doesn't pressure you to use personal trainers. Ugh. I hate that at some gyms. #5) There are FOUR LEVELS people. If you walk by and think it is just one level, you're wrong. All four levels are amazing. My personal favorite is level 4 with all the stretching equipment, the ropes, the boxing gym which is usually open for everyone. I love doing lunges, punching the bags, and jumping rope in the cool air conditioned space. #6) Body Elite is extremely affordable given the neighborhood and the competition. The nearest gym is the Brooklyn Heights Equinox which I used to be a member of. I believe that gym is $200+ now a month. LOL. What a joke. I'll take Body Elite any day over Equinox and while I'm at it, I'll save about $150 a month. I would give this gym 6 stars if I could. I love it. Keep it up. Jason
