I signed myself and my boyfriend up for BFX burn as part of our class pass trial period. I love working out and rarely shy away from a hard workout or something new ...so off we went. The facilities themselves are among the nicest of any gym I've been to. The bathrooms are beautiful and immaculately clean. The gentleman at the front desk greeted us politely and enthusiastically, welcoming us to the gym and explaining a little bit about the layout of the place and where we would find our basic necessities Etc. The class itself felt like a cleaner, fancier version of a Crossfit class... Which suits me just fine since I find crossfit to be a great workout but a little gritty for my taste. The instructor, Alyse Barker, was very motivating and energetic, explaining each drill clearly. She really seems to love what she does and it shows. I'd be very interested in what other classes she teaches as well. I'm not a weightlifter. despite being in overall good shape, I can't do ONE PROPER PUSH-UP. I like encouragement but I don't like being bullied into picking up a kettle bell that weighs 1/3 of what I do. This class was truly for all levels which is so refreshing. I'll probably be sore tomorrow and I'll probably love it! *** not relevant to the workout but the minty shampoo and other products in the bathrooms are absolutely wonderful!!***

Come for the classes and stay for the trainers.. but if you can help it don't take a shower. Pro: The classes are 100%. I've taken a large variety of the classes and with most of the trainers. And they are all AWESOME! They are challenging but realistic (most of the time). The service staff are super friendly and helpful. Within a week they knew my name. Con: The shower situation is pretty bad. There are only 2.5 showers (the 3rd is continually out of order). And you have the share the ridiculously small locker room and shower with the Cyc studio. Some times it's not an issue but sometimes it's out of control. Also, my own personal thing, people here do not know how to take quick showers. Thursday's in particular are the busiest and therefore the worst. Note: It's not a normal gym. You come for classes, which you'll see familiar faces every time, and not to use elliptical (they don't have any). 100% recommend this gym.

Big fan of this gym. The classes are like regular gym classes on crack. They have a million dollar spin studio where you can race a cheetah. Their barre classes make you sweat. They have TRX and take it to extreme levels. My favorite class, with trainer Eli, is a Box and Bells class, half kettlebell work, half boxing. Their version of a pilates class also has a snarky instructor, Kevin, working your stomach muscles even harder because you're laughing while doing it. This is a must try!

What started as a boutique experience studio has now become a part of NYSC elite chain of gyms with extra chargeable classes. The class schedule is comprehensive even though most of them follow a predetermined format. Importantly, there’s ALWAYS warmup and cool down stretching. Overall, it’s an outstanding gym with welcoming staff and good amenities. Don’t be confused by weird looking light kettlebells, there are also some heavy, regular ones, and they also have all the equipment one might need for one’s gym time. Knowledgeable and attentive instructors, clean facilities, ability for you to push according to your abilities within group class is what makes this place a great workout option.

I always wanted to try this kind of class, very soul cycle type of class but soul cycle is for people that can pay 50 dollars per class which is not my reality. Thanks to this place I was able to have a similar experience for about 23 dollars which included the shoe rental. The class was very fun, a great experience!

This is a nice gym, I still not 100% sure about the concept itself, but I have taken classes there through ClassPass. I took Kira Stokes class, Stoked360 and literally almost couldn't make it through the class. It was an amazing full body workout and she is a master of owning the room and helping correct your form, which is something that is crucial when doing bootcamp type of workouts.

I've been to every class they offer, except spin (which they incorporate into a lot of the classes). It's a killer workout! I burn between 600 and 1000 calories per hour. There are so many times I want to give up but the instructors push you to the max. They are incredible. Awesome awesome place.

Always great classes - professional trainers following the most modern methodologies in fitness. Also an A+ job and always go the extra mile to be inviting and kind. The facilities are new. What more can you ask for?

Awesome studio for a variety of fitness classes from endurance to strength/lift that are great for all levels. Each of the classes offered are challenging and will make you sweat! Instructors are all motivational, informative, and hands-on. Really have nothing negative to say about this place. Would love it if they add some yoga classes!

NYSC Lab on 6th Ave is THE BEST gym ever. I have had memberships to a variety of other gyms (Equinox, Planet Fitness, etc) and none of them even compare to NYSC Lab. I truly enjoy coming to the gym for the amazing classes but also for the people there. As a member, I attend classes at least 4x a week (on a bad week) and I am recognized by staff as well as other members. I feel like I am part of a family, which is important to me. The instructors, other members and the specific workouts keep me motivated and I have seen significant changes. NYSC Lab is worth every penny.

If you’re looking for a BOMB strengthening class, I highly recommend checking out Jenna Langhan’s build class! It has become my Sunday staple, and I SWEAR by it. As an instructor, Jenna is highly knowledgeable and motivating! Her technique is incredible and her energy is infectious. She has pushed me to strengthen in ways that I never dreamed of. I have been going for a little over a month now and have seen amazing improvements with my form and overall strength. Thank you, Jenna, for continuing to push us. I love the classes that you teach!

👍👍 It is an amazing stay for people that really just need a bed for the night in the middle of New York. We stayed for a week and first of all the location is unbeatable.
