I just love the instructors at this gym. I look forward to my Refine sessions, because I know I will feel worked out at the end.

New to the UES and was looking for a studio that focused on form and function. Only been to the studio 5 times and I’m very impressed with the studio, trainer and the program structure and would recommend to anyone interested in focused interval training.

Been trying a number of gyms around the UES over the past few months after ditching Equinox. Did two classes here. This was probably my least favorite. Its mostly a standard hiit type class, but fairly easy compared to other classes in the neighborhood. Not entirely sure what exactly the refine method is. Most of the problem is the room is tiny and equipment is old. The two classes, half the room was taken up by slide mats laid out across the center of the room that were not being used. They were in everyones way. One person fell over one last class. Asked the instructor why we couldny move them, and was told they were used the day before and would be used again the next day, so they didnt want to have to move them. Basically, everyones workout was encumbered because they were too lazy to move 8 mats into a corner. My advice to try a couple other gyms in neighborhood. Most are better in just about every way.

Great workout! Spin and yoga are fun but can only take you so far. If you're not getting results from barre (and most people aren't) and you want an efficient workout that combines strength training and cardio with a helpful, supportive instructor who will invite you to challenge yourself without pushing you to injury, then this workout is for you. You can probably do this workout just 2-3x/week and see significant results - think of how much time and money you'll save. I dropped into a Refine class while in town for work. I'd read the reviews and was a bit apprehensive, but was greeted by a friendly, supportive instructor who showed us the workout and gave everyone individual pointers throughout the class. It was like having a great workout with a personal trainer, except cheaper. Lots of different exercises working different parts of your body and ways you can dial it up or down depending on your strength and ability. The instructors are really good at helping you tailor the workout to your individual level, whether you're a newbie or very athletic. I found the environment way less intimidating than a lot of barre, spin, and yoga classes I've gone to. It's probably different from other workouts you've done, so it's important to come with an open mind and be ready to push your comfort zone a bit. You won't regret it! And think about it: if the former professional ballerina founder of Refine is saying you need to step away from the ballet barre and pick up a kettle bell to get fit, she probably knows what she's talking about!

I have been doing the classes for 2 months now (between 1 or 2 classes a week). And see great results - while I had been working out for years was plateauing out and nothing seemed to be working (incl a personal trainer with weights). Refine has given me good results so far - I can see the changes in my body shape. The class is challenging but the instructors are great and keep you going. Highly recommended

As a retired gymnast, this is the only place I feel like I'm getting proper training. The instructors correct your form to get the most out of the workouts and avoid injury which is very important - class size is also small, so it feels personal. Facilities are simple, but clean. Workouts are intense, but you never feel burnout because they're switched up so often. Highly recommended to anyone serious about fitness, or anyone looking to have a supplemental total-body workout to improve other activities (like running or skiing).

Refine has been a great addition to my weekly workout routine! The studio is clean, spacious (doesn’t feel crowded even when a full class is booked), and conveniently located! All of the instructors are great- high energy, knowledgeable, and pay close individual attention to everyone throughout the class. If you’re looking for a solid HIIT workout in a nice space with good instruction, I highly recommend Refine UES!

Refine Method is the absolute best. I love how it is a total body workout and the exercises are different every class so I never get bored. It is the perfect mixture between cardio, strength training, and stretch. The instructors are so knowledgeable, I know that I that I am not injuring myself or working incorrectly. The class sizes are small, so you receive personal attention--it's like having a personal trainer without the added cost. I am in the best shape of my life, thanks to Refine!

I was dissatisfied with my gym membership and started looking for a challenging alternative and I, thankfully, found Refine Method. The workouts are intense and the instructors are attentive. Not only do they push you but they also make sure you're using the proper form to get the most out of the workout. Honestly, it feels more like a personal training session than a class. I highly recommend Refine Method. I love it!!!!

Refine is my favorite workout class in all of the city! I'm just sad it's not on one of the membership studios like classpass or fit reserve, because then I would go so much more! Refine is the best of so many worlds because it combines cardio, strength training and circuits into one workout that's super enjoyable, highly technical and well-trained. I can't say enough good things about this place!

This is by far my favorite work out class in the city. The instructors work with you to modify if injured and also motivate everyone individually in a group workout class setting. This class will make you stronger and more fit, and it focuses more on fitness than "losing weight". I love the Take 2 Challenge and the discount for committing to working out at least twice a week. I highly recommend this class!

refine is absolutely the best workout in the city. as someone who tried class after class for years, i can safely say that refine is the most efficient and effective class i have found. the instructors know all the students (both lifers and newbees) by name and are super attentive to corrections and adjustments. this workout has really helped me achieve my strength and fitness goals, i highly recommend it.

Refine is by far one of the best workouts in the city. It’s a full body workout that keeps me coming back for more. The UES location is a smaller more quaint studio but that doesn’t mean the workout is any less hard. The trainers are extremely helpful and nice and really pay attention to everyone’s needs in the class. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Refine has changed the way I think about working out! It is my absolute FAVORITE high-intensity circuit training class. I really love the class sizes as it provides an opportunity for the instructors to provide you with feedback to ensure you're getting the best workout possible. Also, all the instructors are amazing! Come check it out!

👍👍 It is an amazing stay for people that really just need a bed for the night in the middle of New York. We stayed for a week and first of all the location is unbeatable.
