This was an amazing, if not slightly bizarre experience. We came here after seeing it was included on the New York pass. The place has a great explanation of history. There’s also a bar, cinema and loads of games to play, which I absolutely wasn’t expecting at all. It also has a really cool vibe generally and the staff are informative. I’d recommend this place. However, just be aware that the New York pass doesn’t cover playing the games.

Awesome place to visit. It started off slow but by the end it was well worth the price of admission. You're met with a couple galleries to start with but it really turns up with the games. They are all QR code equipped and you get to play multiple games. There are 2 rides in there as well. There's also a slide at the end to get you to the lounge area. Excellent place to visit but would not plan a day around it. We coupled it with a trip to the Warhol Art Gallery and it worked out perfectly.

One of my favorite museums to visit. Even my husband enjoyed himself. This is truly the spot to learn more and explore society's ideas about sex. The exhibits change on a regular basis, so don't think one visit is going to be enough. There is quite a bit to soak in. And it's not just educational. There's a good dose of fun as well. Naturally, there's a gift shop available. Stop and find a few books, toys, and other items you or someone else would enjoy.

Had a ton fun here, but wish the museum was a bit bigger! Tons of cool photo ops and activities, especially if you’re going with a friend. First few floors had some cool exhibits, but the real fun are the games, lights, and bouncy house. Wouldn’t plan your day around the museum, but it’s a lot of fun if you’re around the area.

We had so much fun! Maybe I'm easily entertained, but the exhibitions were interesting and engaging (especially coming from the museum scene in Washington, D.C.). We played most of the games and there is A LOT to do for different people with different comfort levels. It also wasn't too packed, so crowd control was handled very well. We had jello shots (they looked like t*ts, very fun) - I wouldn't recommend that based on the price and taste lol but we wanted to do the touristy thing. And when you're done having fun, stop by the gift shop for a souvenir! ;)

I've always wanted to check this place out and wasn't disappointed. You're taken on a trip from videos and artifacts on sex toys, sex history through music, films, etc, and it's definitely a good teaching tool. My fav experiences were the game room, 4D Tunnel of Love and the Pink Room. I explored for about 2 hours but could've lasted much longer. Overall, great experience.

Not too sure how long it’ll last but the latest attraction there was lots of fun (SuperFunland). I had been to the museum before (a couple of years ago) however it was more informative than fun. This time I truly enjoyed myself. The museum itself had way better pieces and interesting information. Super Funland was a lot of fun , the moving introduction show was a really nice touch. I would really recommend going here.

Interesting, to say the least! Nice place to bring a date, with cocktails at the upstairs bar. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this museum was. Also quite informative on history and many different rooms to visit. Each room has a different theme. I also really enjoyed the cute game room, where you can win prizes. You enter and exit through the gift shop. There was a 10 minute wait in the evening. I went with my daughter & wasn't even embarrassed with her there. It was quite informative in a classy way, as any museum would be.

What a fun & exciting museum to visit. There was tons of history on sex itself long with all the different eras. Super Fun Land part of the museum was enjoyable with interactive games slides & more. Totally cool place to go to with your significant other or close friends ! Covid protocol on point !

What a fun location for a date. While it wasn’t as explicit as I was thinking it would be, the museum did a fantastic job blending sex and it’s importance it has played throughout history and pop culture. I love the different levels of the building and how each floor concept thoughtfully curated. The best part was the adult themed carnival games which were a blast to play. This Museum is 18+ and is best explored with a partner or a group of friends. A bar on site and a full novelty shop when you enter. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Ticket packages vary but they all include entry and one round of all the games. Excellent trip and would recommend it for something different.

Such an amazing experience. Literally FLOORS OF FUN. i loved that this place was not only informational and impactful, but fun and unique as ever. I felt like I was launched into different period’s of time on each floor. It was so interactive and cool, although I experienced it all, I will defiantly return to show more people!❤️ Expect to be here for quite a bit of time! There is so much to do and look at!

This place is a great accent to NYC. From the semi interactive shows, games, visuals and designs, I am happy my girlfriend treated me here. I loved the kaleidoscope tunnel and neon terrain in one of the game rooms. You feel like you are at old time circus / funhouse. Great place to go with small group. The rooms are cozy and not overwhelming with crowds. Appreciated. Learned a few interesting history facts also. Loved the Ru Paul fortune teller booth!!! Thank you. I am coming back with more friends.

Not worth the price. The museum part needs more effort on the history side, it looked like it was put together fast by a teenager. The circus part was fun. The shop could use more items and varied prices.

Like everyone else this has been high on my list of places to go while in NYC. We finally made the plan to go this time and while we admittedly had a blast, it was a bit of a let down in a way. The Super Funland aspect was obviously the best part and was a ton of fun. But the actual “museum” exhibit aspect definitely lacked. All in all, we’re glad we took the time and spent the money to go but don’t be too disappointed if you can’t fit it into your trip this time around. And if you do go, don’t miss the Photo Booth in the gift shop on your way out.

Honestly just an amazing place to visit. It’s 100% worth any money you spend. The staff was absolutely amazing. It was such a fine time to learn about sex historically and just let loose. Definitely a must-go!

This museum was great! We had so much fun! The reason I am giving a 4 is bc the gallery (which is the first half) is pretty boring. The first section was cool but after that I lost interest. Once we got to the games and bar that was a good time! The staff was extremely nice. The games were a blast and it was an experience to remember. I will say though that it feels like every place in New York has their heaters on 90! This was not the only place that was unbearably hot! And they don’t have a coat check so you will be extremely hot if you’re wearing a coat and/or sweater. Other than that I will say this museum is one to visit!

What an awesome experience! Parking is a little hectic but nothing too crazy! This museum is worth every penny. Friendly staff, so much to see and do. I wasn’t expecting to spend so much time here at first, the gallery was super knowledgeable, the shows were very informative, the games, rides and entertainment made me feel like a kid all over again! I came for the the Valentines couple lockdown and it was such a great date experience! I was given a goodie bag with handcuffs and keys and a pouched alcoholic beverage that was so good !!!! Staff was super fun, thank you for this experience!!!!

So much fun! It was our first time here. We were there for 2 hours but we could have easily stayed one more hour. We had to leave unfortunately due to other commitments. If you’re in NY, you should definitely stop in. Great spot for photos and informative as well! Make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time.

More than worth the cost of the ticket! This museum will keep you interested for 2+ hours with around 5-6 floors. Each floor varied from the other, they ranged from artifacts to interactive games. There was a bar too! Not crowded at all from 8-10:30 pm on a Friday.

Loved the experience! The museum was surprisingly educational, thought-invoking and entertaining at the same time. The staff were super energetic and fun. There's a part where they had an entire presentation and interactive bit and they were always perfectly in character. There's a bunch of arcade games on one floor and the staff help you out if anything breaks or if they see you struggling to get a prize from the claw machine. Bouncy castle was fun. Would definitely recommend for date night or a fun outting with friends.

This was such a great experience!!! I enjoyed every minute of it, they give you two cards to play the games inside and there is a lot of time for pictures. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun space with friends

Experience started off bad with rude and unwelcoming lady that was checking ID & Vax card. Very nasty attitude. However, the staff inside the actual museum was super funny, friendly, & ensured that we were having a good time. Museum itself is really cool & got to learn some of the history I had no idea about.

What a blast. For any adult looking to have fun and open-minded about sex this is a fun place. The adult toys for sale are obviously priced a bit high but the museum is what you're there for. The interactive experience is fun for damn sure. We went early in the day, it wasn't busy and we were able to enjoy everything. I took pics, but ya..... kinda can't post much here, lol. I recommend it.

What a educational, fun, playful, eye-opening, and sometimes bizarre or alluring experience! I very much enjoyed the history of sex culture starting from Mesopotamia to now, the mystery and playfulness of the tunnels, 4D movie, and arcade/carnival style games. I very much appreciated the discussion about consent which really enabled everyone to have a fun but safe experience. I recommend it to my friends and hope to return to explore areas I was unable to the first go around!

I completely adored the enthusiasm from all employees! My boyfriend and I drove from Boston just to visit the notoriously known erotic funland. The prizes were fun and the carnival theme was greatly portrayed throughout the entire museum. 10/10. Wish the bar was open!

My impromptu first date at the Museum of Sex turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The vibes were electric, setting the perfect tone for a fun evening. The drinks were strong, and laughter filled the air as we explored the exhibits together. I even snagged some goodies for myself to remember the occasion. Needless to say, I'll definitely be returning when I'm back in town.

So cool! Lots of free trinkets included when you play the games. Very interactive and educational. Doesn’t hold anything back, so be warned! The store at the end/beginning is stacked with toys and items, so be prepared to want to buy it all.

It was very interesting. We had a lot of fun even with our time constraints. The price is certainly worth it with how much stuff they have for you to look at and games to play. I would recommend you portion a good amount of time to look and explore their exhibits. We did not unfortunately, but still had tons of for the time we had. Every employee was so nice and understanding. Can't say enough good things about it.

Really cool and fun experience! The guy at the front said it takes about 1.5hr to get through but we were in there for nearly 3hr! After the museum portion there is a whole interactive game section called superfunland that made it a 5 star experience. Highly recommend!

Super fun, LGBTQ+ friendly place. The exhibits were cool and some heartbreaking to see. The carnival was my favorite part. I took my girlfriend here on a date, and it was truly our favorite part of going to NYC. All staff were super friendly and accommodating.

  • 5/5 Syerra C. 2 years ago on Google
My husband and I visited last week and we had a blast! The museum is equally interesting as it is hilarious. I was actually surprised that there were 4 levels to this museum; there are so many random facts regarding sex. The “Superfunland” at the end of the museum was just that. I will not share all the pictures we took, but I can promise you’ll have a good time. There is a bar in the last level of “Superfunland”, but it’s currently closed because of covid. Still a great time!

  • 5/5 Jennifer N. 2 years ago on Google
It was fun and something different. If you have the NY pass you have to pay a extra $20 per person to do the fun things that they offer. This is something to check out once and then that is it.

  • 3/5 Joe N. 1 year ago on Google
If you are looking for an “unconventional” night out, this museum is worth checking out. The staff who work here are upbeat, creating a fun atmosphere. The exhibits were not as impressive as we thought they would have been. Without rushing at all, we completed the full museum path in under an hour. Overall, it’s not bad, but it’s not great either.

  • 5/5 Alexandra R. 2 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
