If you have any interest or appreciation for Egyptian history, this is a must see. It's hard to explain how cool it is to see this in person.

The most tranquil part of the museum with a still water feature. This was my first exhibit after entering during opening hours.

My review pertains only to the actual attraction itself, not the politics surrounding it, which I unfortunately do not know much about. However, just because I'm ignorant on this subject doesn't mean those objections aren't valid, so please keep that in mind. As to the Temple itself, this was my absolute favorite part of the Met when I was growing up. The room itself is awe-inspiring and the ability to do a mini-tour rather than just admiring a piece from afar was thrilling. I'd suggest going on a sunny day if possible as the sun streaming through the atrium is magical. As an adult, my opinion has not changed. I could sit in here for hours, enjoying the sun and people-watching. Definitely a must-see when in NYC.

They should've had the real Nile river there, now that would have been sick

This temple does not belong in America. It needs to be taken back to Egypt. From Lorna Byrne-Stairways to heaven, page 199

I do not know what to feel about this place. The temple is stunning, yes. But i dont feel comfortable that all these were carried from their home to here. These kinds of thing should not be a subject of trade.

Very nice setup with temple inside the museum. If you want peopleless photos go there just after the opening at 10am directly. Whole museum is huge like 3-6hrs.

I had a beautiful past life mystical experience in this exhibit whilst looking at the statues of Sekhmet 7 years ago and still remember the state to this day

Another fact. The impressive Temple of Dendur built near the Nile in Egypt around 15 BC was brought and financed stone by stone by the Sacklers to donate to the Metropolitan Museum of New York in 1974. It cost them $3.4 million.

The temple is very beautiful and worth visiting. The space in the museum where it's laid out is perfect. However, I wish it were just a replica, so the original could be back in Egypt.

Very nicely laid out exhibits with great natural lights. Ample space provides a natural way to explore and observe these artifacts from various angles. The Met also offers this area for private functions after the museum closes. The experience is magical.

The Temple of Dendur is just as amazing as the first time I saw it as a child visiting on a school trip.
