A wonderful little known gem of a museum. You're likely going to be there alone, making the home atmosphere even more pronounced. Highly recommended for 20th century art lovers.

It is an unusual place in which to view art -- in the exact place where it was made. In May 2018 they completed restoration of the workroom, and they did a marvelous job of it.

Fabulous place. Not only a great collection of sculpture by Chaim Gross and a glimpse of his studio with his carving tools still in place, but a time capsule of the New York art scene from the 40's through 80's, displaying work by his many artist friends and his daughter Mimi Gross. As if that wasn't enough, there are also many examples of the Foundations' collection of pre-Columbian, African and other art work collected during Chaim Gross's long and active life.
