Hogan can get pretty packed so expect a possible wait time, not much. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I can’t wait to go back to NYC in April and you better believe we will be eating here :). ——— Update: highly disappointed! I ordered the same dish as always and it was GOD AWFUL! It even looked different! The avocado tasted spoiled and bitter... I am unable to even finish eating it. Ugh! see for yourselves in the photo!

This place is cool. The prices are a bit high, but they are much more than a coffee shop. They have great healthy food options. The back has a sunlight and some nooks for sitting. With the plants on the walls and the free WiFi you can find your nook and stay all day. It is a very cozy and classy place.

It's very good, it's super rare to find good coffee in the state comparing to Europe. The food is fantastic, it's healthier but the presentation and taste is very good. Can be my daily breakfast restaurant during my stay in New York City at these few days.

Amazing brunch menu at a fair price, you are in midtown after all. I ordered the chilaquiles with fresh OJ and coffee. First the juice actually tasted fresh and the coffee just as great. Now for my entee choice, basically you get a heaping pile of freshly made tortilla chips with red and green salsa, sour cream, and 2 runny eggs. It was probably the best and most simple breakfast I have ever had. I wish I could have this everyday for breakfast. It was that good, everyone at the table wanted some of mine . My friends got the shakshuka which was also yummy but I say go with the chilaquiles!

Quiet place, good staff and quick service The avocado toast was a good portion and generous amount of avocado The Gotan breakfast is a must try, rich flavors, better if they added another pita bread Hot tea was more than enough, a pot for more than 2 cups Update: Been here again this summer, they’re still good Try the cauliflower it’s so good

I came here during summer and wanted some breakfast/brunch. It was absolutely perfect! The menu was simple, the staff was friendly, and the aesthetics of the place was just so nice! We ordered 2 breakfast items and some coffee and it hit the spot! I'm still dreaming about whatever salsa/spread that was on the toast! This place is great for a quick stop to eat or to just relax in the morning before a big day. Highly recommend coming here!

Cool cafe, nice atmosphere and really chilled. The avocado and feta toast was good and presented nicely. The shakshuka was a little spicy which we enjoyed. Iced chai was really good!

If you can get a seat at this midtown staple, you’re going to have a lovely time. The service is great, the people who work here are full of life and personality, are polite, and will also make you a great drink. The food here is so good. There aren’t many places in the neighbourhood where you can have a nice meal (filling or light) and sit down in a coffee house atmosphere. And they have a bathroom. Can’t go wrong.

Loved it! Stopped here for a quick lunch and the salad was just amazing. 5 mins walking from Time Square, yet not touristy and a little hidden. Definitely worth a visit! I got a feta salad + chicken and a green juice. Recommended!

We visit NYC pretty often and we been to this place a few times during different trips. We fell in love with this place and than fell out of love with it recently. The avocado toast was too citrusy as if they were trying to preserve and not let it turn brown, but the problem is that it became too citrusy. We were very disappointed as we always looked forward to eating breakfast Here. The chicken sandwich was not the best either and let us down.

I was looking for something good and cheap for breakfast before leaving for the airport and found Gotan in google maps. Great place! Gotan, the scrambled cheddar biscuit and a latte were the right decision.
