Let me preface this review by generously giving it 3 stars was a major league stretch. If you’re going for dinner forget it, if you’re going for tapas and you’re hungry bring you’re check book. The presentation was well done, the menu is accented with fish but there is a lamb and chicken entree as well. Typical main is a 5 oz serving, consider a petite filet is larger than that. The oyster appetizer was outstanding, the foie gras / chicken liver pate was also top shelf. The uni appetizer looked much better than it tasted, too much heat. The Iberico ham course was excellent. The chicken was adequate at best. The ribs were very tasty but be prepared for significant heat. The chocolate parfait for desert very misleading. Too much thought went into it and it was a disappointment. The cocktail list regarding drinks and brands very limited unless you’re into “funky” concoctions. Wine list extensive but overpriced and not enough of a selection of reasonable priced offerings. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. There are too many in the city that are 5 stars for significantly less money!

A nice find on the UES. Blink, and you'll probably miss the entrance to this restaurant. Located inside the Met Breuer gallery, on the lower level, this place specializes in seafood, but there are other tasty dishes worth noting, especially for weekend brunch. There's an outdoor Al fresco dining patio which is very nice on a sunny day. The service is good, but there can be a long wait for the food to arrive.

There are some terrible museum dining establishments but this is NOT one of them. They say the egg sandwich is the best in the city - I think it really matters more what you’re looking for - ours did have a runny yolk which was definitely what we were hoping for. The coffee is served out of the café adjacent so our cappuccinos came out a little flat because of the time that elapsed between being created and served. However, it was still quite good!

Excellent food, really good service. Very enjoyable evening. Not a large menu with variety, but all the food was really good and the wine selection is excellent. Granted, it's upper east side prices but not more expensive than other 0laces around that neighborhood. We'll go again!

Usually a little wary about restauraunts in museums or hotels, this one is actually really enjoyable. The appetizers portions are pretty small but the flavor is really good and they are generous with bread. The cocktails are delicious. The entrees are of decent size and I ended up being pretty full. The burger was great and the shakshuka wasn't served in a cast iron like you might expect but was also quite good. Mandarin sorbet with coconut is a nice dessert to finish on.

Super chic date night restaurant. Located below the MET Breuer in the UES. On the pricey side but so worth every penny. Presentation, service, taste on point. 10 stars if I could!

Great Valentine's day (2020) tasting menu. Amazing service, your own sommelier if you select the wine pairing and given the location, ambience (including piano player in lounge), an excellent price for the experience.

A very trendy restaurant. Loved everything we ordered. Endive salad was to die for (endive imported from a farm in Brussels). Excellent Seabream, Jamon Iberico, Halibut and Crab dumplings. Ambience of the place was great. Compliments to the chef for such an innovative cuisine.

The brunch dishes we had were excellent - we had the sea urchin with red shrimp and nori appetizer (not pictured), shakshuka with rye flat bread, and lamb ribs with yogurt and mojo verde. We were satisfied with every bite and wish we had room to try more in one sitting. We also tried two beers - Singlecut (Queens, NY) and Mikkeller (New England) which were both aromatic and refreshing. My personal favorite was the Watermelon Man cocktail with black sea salt, but I believe it’s only on their menu for the summer so try it while it lasts. Overall a great experience, which includes the service and attention my fiancé and I received throughout.

Good Venue and like the atmosphere but the coffee is very average and overpriced.

Nice place and good coffee. And what I'm most like this cafe it's the atmosphere.

Lovely basement bar with bar seating and multiple tables. We only had lattes and sweets at the bar, not the restaurant. Solid staff, delicious drinks and a cool vibe.

Thoughtfully designed presentation that mimics some elements of the museum. New-ish to the neighborhood which may be a good go-to for light dining on a week night.

I went to the Met Breuer with a friend last Saturday and then ate at Flora Bar. We both ordered the very expensive burgers. While we were eating, we noticed that our lettuce was not washed properly (see attached picture). I'm not one to be loud and make a scene in a restaurant, therefore I discreetly (too discreetly?) let the waitress know that both our lettuce was not properly washed. She asked: "what would you like me to do?" I was so surprised by her question that I didn't answer. I saw that she talked to another woman that I assumed was a manager. Nobody came to our table to fix the problem. We finished eating. We didn't order dessert, just coffee. At the end of our meal, the waitress came back and said, while giving us the check: "I'm sorry that the lettuce wasn't washed properly but you know, it happens. As an apology, we took out the coffees from your bill." We were shocked by the treatment of the situation. We're both French but I've been living in New York for 11 years. Could it be that they thought that we were tourists and therefore not potential returning customers?
