This is a must visit place if you are in New York. Amazing authentic Chinese food from all corners of China. I’ve been coming to this food hall for over 10 years at this point and this is by far one of the best places globally to get Chinese food. There are food stalls here owned by people from all over China so you get very authentic flavors from different parts of a massive country. It is very difficult to find a place like this in one localized area no matter where you are in the world. The competition keeps the food quality high and the prices low. Attached are images of every single stall currently in business here in February 2023. I will look to make updates to this post as places come and go as they frequently do. Some of the restaurants down here such as the Lanzhou hand pulled noodle shop have been here for over 10 years as well as the dry hot pot place. Do yourself a favor and come here and order something you’ve never seen or heard of before and try it.

This place has alot to offer. But the crowds are chaotic...I felt like i was back in the Philippines street market with the pushy crowds. Biggest tip i have for this place : BRING CASH!! They do have a parking garage, located right before the entrance to the mall. The parking garage is very short. So be aware opening your trunk if you have a SUV. Be very conscious and aware making turns on the loops bc the roadway is narrow, has blind spots and tight turns on the loops particularly. Be aware that many of the food offerings are cash only. Since everything is pretty much made to order everywhere, it does take around 10 to more mins to get your orders. Alot of menus are in the native language of the food offerings. But don't stress too much if you can't read the options in that language bc many do show english menus too. The cafeteria can get crazy busy at times, so you will most likely have to share your table with strangers at times. They opened up a new spa upstairs and my husband tried it, but was told at the end that it was cash only. There were no atms upstairs, or really anywhere. There's really weak to no cellphone service within the building too, so he had a difficult time reaching me to get some cash for him. Luckily after 20mins of "idk how I'm supposed to pay" since he doesn't carrry too much cash, being a card person...one of the workers allowed for a zelle payment to their personal account. The parking as well is cash only. Because the parking garage entrance and exit is on a busy road, it can be hard entering and leaving. There are staff who will hold foot traffic back the best way they can, but pedestrians do what they want and will try to get hit and challenge the staff and your vehicle. Really ballsy. So you just have to be very aware of your surroundings. If you spend over $50 at jmart you can get your parking validated for up to 2 hrs. Don't forget your reusable bags too! If you forget, they offer for purchase reusable bags. But they are not $.05 bags because they are legitimate bags.

This is the spot to go when you want the best Chinese food in the US. This mall has an entire level of food courts with some of the best Chinese food around. Come here specifically for just the food court, but remember CASH ONLY for all places. Some will only accept credit card after a specific amount (like $10 or more). But most are just strictly cash transactions.

Love it - almost identical to Tier 3 cities in China. Food is very authentic and honestly one of the best I’ve had outside of the country.

Mostly restaurants, huge food court, a few shops, worth a visit if you are hungry. Jmart grocery store inside too.

Listen they may as well list the food court as it's own listing on Google Maps lol. The mall is fine but the food court is where it's at!! Where I live I don't get to eat Uyghurs food anymore and I miss 蘭州拉麵 from when I was in China! They have two stands that do the hand-pulled noodles! We also did clams from another stand, a Korean stand, and of course bubble tea haha. It was hard for me to pick... especially since there was hot pot options (not the soup type of hot pot, but the stir fried kind 麻辣香锅) 😋

Came here for the food court, and we tried a couple different places and finished off with tiger sugar. Noodles were very authentic and they had a veggie option which was great. Will definitely be back to try more, bring cash so you don’t need to hit the credit card minimums

It was a pretty great place for food. The basement level was filled with delicious food. There was however this clothing store that you should avoid (I put a picture). Not only did the employee gave me extremely rude attitude but she also was trying to body-shame me. I wanted to buy some dresses that I KNEW could fit me but she came up and snatched them out of my hand telling me it was too small and I was “too big”.

I mostly come here for the food court, or sometimes Dim Sum upstairs. The food court is full of a ton of really interesting and delicious options. You’ve got Thai food, Chinese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Uyghur, and many more!! I always like to come here for delicious food.

Great place for a quick bite at the food court downstairs or shop at the supermarket. I personally like the Chinese deli place on the first floor. $10 for 4 sides + rice + soup!

Walked to this mall to visit their food court. Here they have a variety of Asian food establishments. They have dumplins, ramen noodles, and creeps. I ordered a Taiwanese dish sastly chicken and had Korean vegetables dumplings my favorite. Definetly recommend 👌

I have been going to the mall for many times. I have eaten at the basement food court for many times. In fact I bought food from this particular "Shang zi wei, hao xin xiang" place for many times before. My friends and I like their food, especially a spicy big bowl mixed with all kinds of meats and veggies in some spicy sauce. Today, however, I found out that the food was still good BUT the owner/employees are not so honest. I purchased their food for $40 plus and among them was quail eggs. I even told one of my family members that I got the quail eggs for my kids. Then when my food order was ready, I picked it up. I felt that the portion of the dish itself was much smaller compared to the past. As I suspected I checked whether there were what I ordered. Among them, I saw fish, beef, pork, and others. Then, we started eating happily. We were enjoying it. Then, 15-20 min into it, I realized I hadn't given any quail eggs to my kids. So I asked my family if they saw the eggs because I hadn't seen it. The answer I got was "no" from everyone. I know I ordered them, I saw them put 3-5 eggs into the bowl, they weight them (because they sell based on weight) I paid for them, and there were no quail eggs. So I went and complained and as usual, they were looking at me and had no comment. This kind of dishonesty really disappointed me. So I told my family we are NOT buying from them anymore. Attached is the store's picture. The mall should have a place where they accept these kinds of necessary complaints.

We love this food court, so many different option and the price is so affordable! Sometimes you even ask yourself if this is New york! You can even do grocery shopping for half the usual cost. Highly recommended if you like asian foods!

This is my favorite Asian spot in all of NYC. The grocery store is huge and has everything you could ever possibly need. If you’re looking for authentic and affordable cuisine, definitely don’t miss the food court downstairs. They even have a place that does hand pulled noodles right in front of you! An amazing way to spend a day in NYC!

Authentic Asian foods, especially Chinese food. Menus are overwhelmingly in Chinese and most foods are not offered at typical American Chinese restaurants and comparable to menus of restaurants in China. Prices are alright, like your usual food court prices. I’d encourage you to walk around once or twice before deciding what to get. Some places offer a whole tin bin of food while others serve by the plate.

The food court is awesome! This is from the well being Korea. Veggies on top of rice. The options are endless. The mall itself is okay, nothing really to shop at. The food market is awesome too. Definitely something to experience.

If you want to really feel like you're in East Asia without leaving NYC, head here. The food court downstairs serves lots of different fares - including different Chinese cuisines, and others American palates will find more familiar. For a real treat, head to the lavish dim sum parlor on the top floor - but make sure to have a Chinese speaker in your group.

The food court in the basement is like going to an Asian country. You feel like you have left the United States. You can pretty much get any Asian food you could imagine in the giant food court/hall. Most of it is quite good. We kind of went for the easy stuff at the Teriyaki chicken place but I want to go back and try some others in the future. This is a great place to get a meal before a Mets game.

Good variety of Asian groceries and small shops. Can be a bit dirty and loud. Has some retail shops upstairs, selling clothes, jewellery and cosmetics. Downstairs is a large food court with mainly Chinese and Korean food. The food is very affordable and portions here are large. However, some shops are not so clean and B rated.

I loved the atmosphere and just walking though the grocery -- which was clean but full of the scent of fish among other smells. The butcher counter looked fresh and clean. Prices were very fair I thought. The picture of what looks like a buffet is where people put together their order down in the food court. It's like Qdoba but with noodle bowls.

Always a great place for food. The food court is back and there's so much delicious food. The bathrooms are not that clean so I took off a star for that. Other than that I recommend everyone come here to view the shops or to grab a bite to eat as many spots in flushing want reservations. You can always find food here without making a reservation.

You're not in the suburbs of Long Island anymore Toto! Check out JMart for all things uniquely Asian and edible. The men that clean the fish are a must to see! You pick the fish [many are still swimming in tanks] and they will do the rest!!

This mall is about food. It’s clean. First floor is a supermarket and food looks fresh and delicious. It’s a very busy place. There’s a food court upstairs too and everything looks so good. Small little stalls with so many choices. And on the other floors, there’s more food choices! Hot pot, dim-sum restaurants … the whole mall made me hungry. Just food being cooked everywhere. Went to the Real KTV in here but next time gotta try out the food court and restaurants!

We ate at the food court downstairs, and it was fire. We got beef curry at the place in the corner opposite the escalators; and pan-fried dumplings at the handmade noodle spot. Everything was delicious. And the maintenance staff works hard to keep the place clean. 10/10 would return.

Many food to choose from. Serving is fast. My go-to place when I'm in Flushing Main Street and I need a quick meal.

  • 2/5 Mariam G. 2 years ago on Google
Tomatoes broth was just sweet and spicy broth had no flavor just spices. It was not enough food for the prize and they kept cleaning our table. Made us often feel rushed but the place was not even busy, I did not understand the rush. The menu is entirely in Chinese except for few words translated, I guess they are not interested in outside business.

An experience like none other, hence New York City being a melting pot of different cultures, though I felt so out of place there because of the stares, but the food court is really awesome, you get to try different cuisines and probably will come back to do just that all over again like I will have. There ate chinese and Japanese cuisine and there are endless choices that one visit simply is not enough, the supermarket upstairs are very well kept, bit there are too many people to avoid bumping into, whole building like a tall sardine but manageable, food selection ate through the roof sort to speak, and as I said, one visit is not enough.

The original “food hall” loves in this mall. It may not be the most instagrammable looking wise, but it serves good asian eats. I recommend stall 21 for hotpot style dishes. I got the mala fish which was very spicy.

  • 2/5 J C. 1 year ago on Google
Right as you walk in is the fishy smell from J Mart, a super market in the main level of the mall. I don't know why the landlord let this dominate the very first impression of this building. It STINKS..... This is a shame as other stores are fine and there is a nice dim sum place on the very top floor as well. The basement food court has a lot of slsection but beware many take cash only.

  • 5/5 Paul J. 1 year ago on Google
This is not an American mall. It is 100% Chinese. The JMart supermarket has something for everyone. The food court in the basement offers the visitor a large variety of Chinses cuisine at a reasonable price. Language can be a problem. When in the area I make it a point to visit the mall.

  • 5/5 Anthony M. 2 years ago on Google
The food court had about 20 different vendors, with a mix of different Asian cuisines. We mostly stayed with the Chinese stalls and ordered a variety of dishes. Unfortunately some stalls don't have any english translations, but most have numbers/pictures to help. Everything was delicious, can't wait to swing back when we're in the area.

大盤雞 + Hand Pulled Noodles - Generous portion of bone in chicken that's coated in chili oil sauce, chicken is cooked well and is moist. Fried along with sweet peppers, red onions, potatoes and scallions for a richer texture and aromatics. The noodles were thick, chewy and swimming in a pool and savory, fragrant oil, and made me wish I had more. The potatoes were a bit too salty though. Check out @bredgyeats for food pictures!

When shopping with a group of people in Downtown Flushing and you get hungry, head to the Food Court in the basement of New World Mall. There is something for everyone: sizzling steaks, hand pulled noodles, ramen and bubble tea.

  • 4/5 mary o. 9 months ago on Google
First time at the food court and wow. For an indecisive person, the numerous options were overwhelming. That aside, I tried the lamb soup noodles at the handmade noodles stall and damn the broth was refreshing and clean. The bowls look small but damn they're filling. My friend and I couldn't finish it. The only inconvenience was the "cash only" demand. We had to find our respective banks in order to retrieve funds. We were sweaty and hungry by the time we sorted that out.

  • 4/5 Liam W. 2 years ago on Google
It's a very nice place with a lot of choices for food. However, the food court is a little bit run down which is shocking considering how busy it is. Otherwise it's super nice.

  • 4/5 Cassandra B. 2 years ago on Google
Food court on the lower level is actually pretty good for a mall food court. There's a few more upscale restaurants up top just before you get to the movie theater. Yup, that's right, there's also a movie theater in here. Overall, centrally located and easily accessible as it's connected to the Powell BART Station. It's also within walking distance to the Metreon, Union Square, a lot of other shopping sites.

It’s a nice place to eat and shop, I go here a lot with friends, however once you’re down in the food court there is no WiFi so if you wanna post pics you just gotta take them and then post them later on social media
