YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE when you visit New York. The best vegan food I’ve ever had and I have been vegan for almost 5 years. Packed full of flavours and great portions. The place was clean and had a very relaxed vibe and great music; the staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend everyone to try it.

I love this place so much for their amazing customer service and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend. I’ve been vegan for 16 years and I consider their food top notch. I always get the Mac n cheese, the ranch salad, Korean bbq wings and coconut shrimp. This place is truly a gem 💎 and a party for your tastebuds.

Customer service is definitely a strong point here. I felt very welcomed and the service was relatively quick. The ordering experience initially was a little jarring but they made accommodations to suit my needs. The food was good overall but very heavy. It feels like a lot of fried food but overall it was tasty. Not a lot of gluten-free options and I feel like that kind of leaves out some people that would like to try some of their Staples. I think the bread for the French toast was very good and for a vegan french toast is probably one of the best ones that I had in New York. The toppings for the French toast left room for desire. I would recommend some kind of banana nut cluster or something like that in the future. Would like to see what a full brunch menu would look like with this restaurant. Overall very happy with the experience but would give one star off only because they need to be more variety and the menu. I felt like the drinks had a lot of variety but the food items really didn't. 8/10

Enjoyed our brunch here, 3 generations. Only one vegetarian but everyone enjoyed their meal. The " wings" were unlike any other vegan wings I've had, less chewy. But was a favorite at the table, but I liked my breakfast sandwich too. Variety of music, some better than other. The kids ate up the blt & chicken &waffles, plus enjoyed the Trivia on the TV (luckily silent). Good mocktails (but small & $$$ as if alcoholic). We didn't partake in small dessert menu. The mushroom coffee was not at all to my liking, tasted like watery cocoa.

I went here for brunch as a part of a foodcation weekend. I created my own bowl with the tofu scramble, fresh kale, and hand cut fries. This dish was good and the Korean BBQ wings my friend and I shared was delicious. I was somewhat disappointed because I could not identify many breakfast items that were gluten free, primarily because I wanted something a bit sweet. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was amazing. I would definitely try this place again when I don't have a sweet tooth.

As a vegan mostly due to allergens I’ve never actually tried shrimp in my life but I can say the coconut shrimp here was right up my alley. Absolutely love coconut and the texture was amazing in this app. The burger patty was phenomenal amazing flavor. Such a cool little spot with great vibes and music. If you’re a vegan or not definitely a place to check out while in NYC.

Easy causal vegan restaurant. We are here for lunches. We both ordered burgers. I got the one with Beyond Meat and my friend ordered the one made from mushrooms, I think it was? Anyway, we both really liked the burgers. They were very simple. Not super big. Very no frills. I ordered a side salad which was good. The dressing was delicious. My friend ordered a side of fries with her burger and they were great! I finished off what she didn’t. The outdoor seating was nice and we had good service. Indoor had a very cool vibe

I love this place, it’s my go to brand place, the space was great the downstairs is very homey and rustic. It took a bit to get our food but it was great. The pasta I had was very good, if you can make mushrooms taste good you are winning at life! The server was fun and very respectful, coolest guy in there. The interior was a vibe and a half. And if you need a sign to try the Elderflower Lemonade, here ya go. You’re welcome. Happy Eating 😋

I wish I could give a 3.5 review. The food was very delicious the only reason for the unofficial 3.5 stars review is that the rice was cold and the beans were a little harder than what I've had in the past. The rice wasn't the delivery person's fault it seems like it wasn't properly heated in the restaurant so it was still not properly cooked. The mac and cheese, was good, if I were to order it again I would request not as much breadcrumbs though. Overall, very good. Delivery didn't take a million years so that's always appreciated.

Friendly service, tasty food! The Chorizo Empenanda was super delicious! I definitely recommend! I had the Oyster Asada, it was flavorful, but I don't know if I would order it again! The black beans weren't as soft as I like! I had the mudslide pie and the blueberry coconut ice cream at $16, small portion, but just enough for me! It was super delicious! I also had the sparking non alcoholic white tea with ginger. It's served in a champagne glass, but I definitely recommend! For the cost of 2 glasses, you might as well get a bottle! It's really tasty! I 10 out of 10 recommend!

The food, the vibe, the staff. 10 out of 10. It was my first time at UVK and I’ll definitely be back. I actually had my lunch chosen for me and I don’t regret one bite it was absolutely delicious! Started with the cauliflower bites and then had the create your own bowl with mac & cheese, oyster mushrooms and brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing.

Amazing 👏 Food! Say less and easy more! Just fantastic, due to covid and law of New York. You will have to easy outside, but it's worth it. They do have shade so just be mindful that you're still outside but great spot to eat or takeout.

My sister and I split a bunch of items: the mac and cheese, seitan ranch salad, kale quesadilla and we added tempeh bacon, and a side of broccoli and tofu scramble. And the Mississippi mud pie for dessert! (We did not finish it all 😅) I've been here a handful of times and tried other items. Everything is always delicious. There's so much variety to the menu, I really like the selection. The Mac and cheese is hands down always my favorite item. SO flavorful and delicious and rich and creamy 🤤 Not a fan of the side of garlicky broccoli but that was my sister's choice anyway. The Mississippi mud pie, was delicious but was not a true mud pie (no coconut whipped cream or anything on top) but the cake itself was very chocolatey and loved the nut pieces in it. Very small for the price compared to their other dishes and prices but 🤷‍♀️ Looking forward to my next visit!

I had such a pleasant experience, I was there for about 35 minute but it made my entire day. Every time I visit, I enjoy myself but this time felt so special, they made me feel so special. Sebastian was my waiter and not only was he nice to me, he was nice to every table. The older Black man who may be the owner was incredibly nice and accommodating. He moved me to another table so I won't get caught in the rain. Ugh, he was so sweet. And the food, OMG, always delicious. I had the un-chicken and waffles, I traveled from Staten Island for my FAVORITE dish there.

The food and portion sizes are great for the price! Even with the outdoor dining due to Covid-19 the vibe here was still intimate. Staff here are very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Po'boy (fried popcorn sietan) sandwich with fries, the chick-un and waffles and the Mac and cheese. The seitan was hot and crispy and the remoulade sauce on the sandwich was fantastic! The Mac and cheese could be a shared appetizer or a even a meal. The green onions/scallions and breadcrumbs on top gave the dish a greater dimension. Looking forward to come back to try other menu items!

Omg! I'm still dreaming about those BBQ wings 😍 super tasty!! The best that I have tried so far and I'm not vegan, but those are even better than real chicken 😋 and to drink. I had a margarita, which was also the best that I have tried in NY. The service was super good! The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It is some expensive but with that service it is definitely worth it. I highly recommend it 🫶🏽

Such a Wonderful establishment. A very talented chef and the team there is so helpful. Their brussle sprouts are delicioso and I never liked them before in my life! The quesadillas are also one la my faves 😋 I could keep going, but u have to just try it.

Amazing food and amazing service!! We order the cauliflower, vegan shrimp and avocado salad. It was my bf birthday and they brought us a slice of chocolate cake it was delicious. The ambience and music is 100%. Will go again!!!

Hip vegan restaurant with two floors, dim lighting and dj spinning music on the lower floor (the night I went at least). Food was very tasty. I ordered the green quesadilla which was great and very much exceeded my expectations. Also ordered the seitan wing appetizer which was good. Friend ordered the veggie burger and said it was tasty. Cocktails were 👍 as well.

The customer service was outstanding, and the food was exactly what we were looking for. We were so pleased with the service I received from Jacob, the bartender (so sorry I dont recall his name at this time). They went above and beyond to help us find the perfect soyfree food and beverages. We were very impressed with the quality of the service we received.

The outside of the restaurant isn't as inviting but once I walked through the doors, I fell in love with the artwork & photos displayed on the walls. I wish I had more time to see them all. The real display is downstairs. I'd suggest you head down to the bathroom to get the full experience. The staff, customer service and price was great. I took the waiters suggestion and ordered the buffalo tofu with my salad. It tasted amazing. I wasn't a fan of their water or the mini cups they use. Ultimately, I was happy to find a place with healthy food options that tasted good. I'd recommend to friends and family.

The food did not dissappoint! I could not finish my burger, so had to do take out along with dessert. The empanada was amazing. The dough was flaky and soft. The potato and leek soup was filling as well! I enjoyed the garlic broccoli and fried chicken version of the oyster mushroom! The service was phenomenal. The staff kept checking up on me and and my mom to make sure everything was OK. They were very friendly and accomodating! I am glad I found this place!!! The atmosphere has a great vibe!

Korean barbecue wing appetizers were awesome, onion rings were good, and chili fries were amazing. For the main entree I got a salad that tasted really good! My friends had burgers that didn’t have sauce which seemed disappointing but their fries were really good!

Really great place to grab brunch with friends. Their outdoor set up is nice. Customer service is also very welcoming. I got the un chicken and waffles and overall it was really good. The “chicken” was a bit tough and hard to eat, but flavor was great.

Loved the mocktail- To Kill a Sunrise with Lavender for its exotic flavors. Tried several vegan items Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, Buffalo Wings, Housemade Chili (yum!), Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Onion Rings, Dirty Green Quesadillas(yum again!) and Belgian Waffles ( yum yum!) The food took about 30 mins once we placed the online order. Street parking can take about 20 mins to find, so plan accordingly if you are booking a table.

Absolutely 💯 love this spot! We were traveling and found this place, so we decided to give it a shot for brunch. It was absolutely amazing! The food is 100% vegan and super delicious 😋. The service was great as well. Try the Mac n Cheese, Chicken n Waffle, but my fav is the BLT #yum. This will definitely be our spot whenever we are traveling into NYC. Definitely recommend 👌

For travelers, all places are "home", and we look for that human warmth in the way they treat us in food, accommodation, etc. Urban Vegan Kitchen is a super nice place in every way: the food, the place, the staff... Simply the best!! Love the vegan scene in NYC but this one has been the best we had in a week here. We had the Waffles/ Brussels sprouts and the yummiest Lasagna. Gluten free vegan Lasanya- those are never easy to find and this one was so amazingly tasty. Do give it a try- you won’t be sorry and your tummy will be happy. The staff are very friendly and shout out to Kenna for taking extra care of us! Will be back to NY soon for that yummy lasagna

Finally got to try this vegan comfort food place. We had the Korean bbq wings, chick-un & waffles, and super Mario quesadilla. Everything was solid and delicious. I really like the texture of the bbq wings and chick-un made from seitan. It's tender and mochi like which was great. They also made the waffles extra crispy to my preference. The waffle was only slightly sweet which is good as that keeps the dish more on the savory side and balanced flavor. Loved the garlic kale on top of the waffles and quesadilla. The super Mario quesadilla was mushroom based which I live and they definitely packed a lot of mushrooms. Definitely wanna come back to try other things (just be ready for the high calories!).

hmm.. maybe I ordered the wrong things? the seitan was really thick on the chix and waffles but the waffle were really tasty. The toppings on the chili chz fries were great but the fries themselves were soggy from the toppings (they needed a harder fry). I mean every dish I tasted had a small let down attached 🥴 Our server was really sweet though.

This place was amazing. We had a short layover in NYC and the staff helped us order, eat and get out quickly so we could head back to the airport. Food and drinks amazing and would definitely come back to NYC just to come here again!

I’m not sure why Urban Vegan Kitchen isn’t listed as THEE BEST vegan restaurant in the city! In terms of flavor, portion and selection, it is by far my favorite place to dine. Their take on vegan comfort food is imaginative and delicious! I have not tried every single thing just yet, but it’s because that BLT has a hold on me! I travel from uptown very frequently just to eat in the village. Check them out! Don’t tell everyone how good the food is tho🤫you won’t be able to get a reservation lol🤣

This place is fantastic! Definitely my nee comfort food go to! The po'boy is something I will come back for time and time again, I could drink the remoulad, ask for extra. The Korean wings were also really tasty. The chicken and waffles was really good but I didn't think the breading was think and crispy enough, didn't hold up under the sauce and became mushy too fast. I think if the seitan was thinner with a thicker crisper breading it would be a home run. The waffles was on point! Will be back for sure, food and atmosphere was great.

was really excited to come here after reading the reviews. i got the po’boy since it was so talked up but was honestly disappointed, the texture of the seitan was nice but the sandwich definitely lacked flavor. and even my stomach hurts lol not sure if it was an off day for the chef or something. also found a hair in my food after finishing my meal 😫 the waiter showed no concern. i had to go talk to the manager myself.

Tina was amazing! I tipped her but I noticed two other workers say something to her. I’m not sure what was said, but if they split the tip, they didn’t deserve it. Especially the guy. He wasn’t helpful at all and seemed nonchalant about everything. Tone is everything. And the other girl just didn’t talk to us really. Tina Is an asset to that company and her personality is divine. Hopefully she gets to see this. She’s a queen! I hope she gets to move up and make more people feel as welcomed as I did, thank you sis! I also got a to go order and nothing I ordered was on my Tofuego. I got the fries, burger and a bun. No sauces, no tomatoes, no lettuce, literally nothing. I wholeheartedly understand that there is pressure to move quickly in the kitchen, but please thoroughly read tickets.

My 8 and 10 year old daughters loved their BBQ chick' um and seasoned fries. I had a salad, which was delicious, love the dressing. Their fruit slushy was great also.

The Brussel sprouts were crispy and sweet; the Gochujang wings were incredible. I mean how do they do it??? The Po’ Boy sandwich was soooo tasty and the Green Quasadilla with that sauce.....yummy!!! If you have not gone there yet, you have to go....like right now!!! Run!!!

Found UVK while walking around village looking for a brunch place. Wow, what a find! We had the Tofu Scramble, Chick-un Avocado Salad, Belgian Waffle, and sides of tempeh bacon, breakfast sausage. It was so good we went back for dinner! For dinner we had the buffalo wings, and several other Chick-un dishes. Our two boys thought the buffalo wings were amazing. We even ordered extra food to bring home. So glad to have found this place!

I've ordered twice so far and haven't been disappointed. The Po' Boy and chilli fries are amazing!! The Buffalo and Korean BBQ are a nice appetizer. And the mudslide pie is a great way to top it all off.

All the broccoli in my Mac n cheese was spoiled. They said white broccoli is normal, it’s not. Disappointed that the non vegan staff tried to argue it lol. Tread carefully. Delicious food but that can make you sick.

I just finished my meal here and felt compelled to tell the world how amazing this place is. I have been vegan for 3 years and I just had the BEST meal I have ever had in my entire life. The chicken and waffles and the Mississippi mud pie changed my life. And I don’t even like chicken and waffles. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. (My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and I promptly stole it from him)

One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to in Manhattan thus far. Great customer service. My only problem is they down sized the buffalo seitan hot wings tremendously! But other wise a great place to go anytime of the week.
