This review is based off of an early show so the experience may be better for people going to a later show. Because it was so early there weren’t a ton of people there making for an awkward show for the performers and guests. Despite this, there were some great acts. Where the club loses points is mostly in the enforced two drink minimum. It made for an abrupt and awkward experience. That would have been ok if there was a decent selection with decent drinks but I give my hats off to this place for serving the worst and priciest sangria I have ever tried.

Food is outstanding! I've been coming here several times a week for over two years. Love the wraps, lasagna, quesadillas, salads and desserts. Highly recommended: pretty much all the wraps. The first time I came here I ordered the Philly wrap. It tasted so authentically cheesy I had to ask the waiter "is this all vegan?" just to be sure. I enjoyed it so much I came back hours later and ordered it again! The Jamaican wrap is also outstanding. It has just the right amount of spice. Not too spicy. There's an item on the menu called the pizza burger. I ask them if they can make it as a wrap and they always accommodate. The pizza wrap is currently my favorite dish here. Update Sunday 5/6/18: Had the Banana Chocolate Pancake for brunch today...very tasty...I attached a pic of it for this review. Also took pics of the Cacao Shake and the Alive Green juice I had today. Update 4/12/22: had the Chicharron Sazon Burrito…loved it!

Let me start with the positive points. The venue is spacious with strategic location in the heart of St Mark's street. Awesome spot to include in your night out. Friendly staff, nice ambient and Part of the seating area was a theatric stairs where crowd can chill and enjoy the show. Minimum two drinks order. Concerning the show, I'm not sure what was wrong, there were few brilliant comedians but I felt the repertoire wasn't there and the audience were disconnected. I understand that comic is hit or miss, and to me that night was a miss, unfortunately. I trust the producer of the show are doing their best, and I wish them the best of luck Cheers 🥂

I wanted to really like this place because the concept is great, but it was a complete let down. First of all I’m pretty sure eggs are not considered vegan. Had no clue they were putting actual egg in my meal. I asked if it was completely vegan, they said yes. Got eggs. And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t an egg substitute. Otherwise food took long, it was pretty dry and overcooked but I did finish it asides from the egg. Place has potential, it just needs a better cook.

This club will try to persuade your entry with light hearted jokes, and a cheap entry cost but will force you to purchase drinks well before any of the comedians get on stage. Their excuse is to act like they mentioned this at the door but they know well its an act to take your money and force you out once the show begins. Each drink cost more than the entry fee and you are forced to buy them. Do not give this establishemnt your money.

Not great at all the quesadillas it had no taste. It was given in a box to eat outside. Condiments were in small containers. Not like the menu unpresentable. I had to ask for a plate. I had to put all the condiments on it myself. Very bland no taste except the sauces. Not worth over $15.00 Load fries with bacon. Not fully cooked fries and bland. No dinning indoors he said outdoor only. No restroom.

Awesome little venue, ideally located on a street with so much diversity, culture, and food!!! I can't believe I've lived in NYC for 15 years and hadn't even heard of it. I was wandering around on a kinda wet, gloomy night and just wandered into this. There was a Snark Tank show happening and it ended up being one of the dark horse highlights of my year!! The venue is quite small and there's no assigned seating so be sure to show up a little early to get in line to get seated. However, you can't be seated until the start time of a show because they do back to back shows, so don't show up too early. Probably 15 mins is the sweet spot. They have a 2 drink minimum policy, similar to most comedy clubs in the city. And also serve chips and salsa, and sometimes empanadas. They do not have a full bar. You can only order what's on their limited menu.

Lots of tasty vegan options. All from different parts of the world. I would come here wether I was plant based or not. The prices compared to other spots in the city are decent. It was cool that we have the option to order at the counter or via tablet. We decided to go with the three for $10 empanada special. We got the Philly Cheese , Jamaican and the Bean Empanada. The crust of the empanadas were very flaky, which is a great touch. The place was really clean and allowed patrons to use the restroom even during quarantine. Very cool owners! I would definitely come here again. But not order the bean empanada. It was very bland. The dipping sauce was good, more vinegar based and wasn’t as thick as we preferred!

The Go-to meal is the Cali burger. The Nacho fries is a must if you're in large groups! The shakes & smoothies are awesome! Please keep in mind that this is Latin American INSPIRED** VEGAN food. It's cozy, and if you're an artist they do events (not sure if monthly) to have artists come and hang their work up for sale! You might see my work up there in the next few months!

At no point was anyone funny… and if u can’t make jokes that aren’t at the expense of minority groups u aren’t a part of or trans ppl maybe u just aren’t funny 🫢. we weren’t given a menu. then the waiter told us to vodka cranberries were $13 and we got 5. we also tried to get waters (2 drink minimum) but they never gave it to us so the waiter said he wouldn’t charge us for them. why was the total then $82?!

We ordered the fried avocado and it was delicious. Burrito was very good, the carrot cake was amazing, but the filling was way too sweet. We also tried the arepa and the brownie, both delicious. Not that overpriced. Location was clean and neat. Staff were friendly and answered all my questions.

My favorite spot to visit when I want comfort vegan food. Their Tacos and spring rolls are the best (HANDS DOWN). Staff is extremely friendly and the vibe is relaxed. PS. Their avocado fries are to die for. Probably the only place I know of that sells this dish.

AVOID - was told by the male at the door the show started in 15 mins at 21:45 so we decided to pay $15 each which they charged $32.66 for paying by card? After an hour of waiting in a cramped corridor and worried we would be the only two in the crowd it looked like they managed to gather a few more people from the streets to come and watch the show which actually begun at 22:45! After an hour later we were finally sat down and asked what drinks we'd like. Firstly we don't drink alcohol and we'd already been out to dinner, and secondly at no point had anybody told us of a 2 drink minimum order. As a tourists we weren't aware of this and I definitely was not going to pay $5 for a bottle of water each as I didn't appreciate having been stood around for an hour and not told about a minimum order. In the end we got our refund and left, they clearly do what they can to get you in and then make you pay ridiculous prices for drinks. Oh yeah and can't forget about the t-shirt merch guy trying to sell basic t-shirts for $40 that says "you doing good?" when it probably cost like $2.50 to print. Thankfully we left as we overheard some of the jokes whilst waiting in the corridor and I think you have to be pretty drunk to have found them funny. Take a look at the other reviews who mention the same issues, annoyingly we didn't check their reviews beforehand.

everything else is good but One star off: there’re obvious signs of automatically charge 20% tip. the tip percentage is calculated by after-tax. I respect paying tips, but prefer to make sure it’s pre-tax. Even 25% is fine.

I don't normally eat vegetarian or vegan, but I loved this food. Truly amazing, great tasting food. Highly recommend. Idk if it necessarily tasted like meat, but it didn't need to, it tasted fantastic on its own. Loved it, loved supporting PoC-owned small businesses, can't wait to go again. They even gave us 2 free slices of cake! Amazing!

The $10 burrito is really good. Great spot for a quick bite between classes/ on work break.

The food is good but their contactless ordering system requires you to register a name and number to see the menu. If my friend hadn't already pulled it up I probably would have left.

Fast vegan food. You view the menus and order on a tablet. We ordered the mac and cheese, a few empanadas, and avocado fries. All was yummy, good but not amazing. Our favorite thing were the avo fries. Service was quick.

V Spot is a special place. The food was great, some of the best muchies in the area- and I'm not even a committed vegan. The staff were friendly and helpful. The comedy club in the back is Great, and the owner Alex is a kind and hilarious man. Go eat here and catch a show, it's great.

I had a great time here at a show a few weeks ago. Would highly recommend! A few things to mention 1. The hostess was really funny and opened the show with some crowd work to get the audience loosened up and ready for the rest of the comedians on stage. 2. They have a two drink minimum, which is standard for comedy clubs in New York and the rest of the country. 3. This was my second time coming to the club after coming a year ago. They made a lot of changes and greatly improved the overall experience for audience members. Definitely will be coming back when I’m back in town.

Came here once… never again. MINIMUM $40. They charge you for a ticket hours before a comedy show starts and you would think that would be the last mandatory payment you would make for the night - but no. You must buy AT LEAST 2 drinks that cost a higher amount that any other restaurant ive been and they have a worker that will rudely seek you out. Once spending more money on drinks than the ticket (I ordered a beer) they will come out approximately 30 minutes later…. Warm. Safe to say I will not be back anytime soon.

One of the best comedy clubs in NYC!! Any night of the week consistently great comedians, super fun shows and amazing vegan food and drinks! The owners are super nice too and comedians themselves. If you’re looking for a fun comedy show this is the spot!!
