This restaurant was very excellent. My expectations were low but experience was much better. It's fast food, but vegan. The sweet potato fries were outstanding as was the Reuben sandwich. Prices were very reasonable. Service was friendly. Only downside was that the ice machine wasn't working but can't fault them for that. Would highly recommend for a quick meal when you're in the area. 5/5. Follow me for more reviews, tips and photos.

Update July 2020 The VG added some great outdoor seating. Tables are cleaned very often and food is brought to you after you order. Fantastic experience! ----- Finally! On December 10 and 11 they are doing a soft opening. I'm assuming that as of December 12th they will be in business for everyone to enjoy. I visited during the training days, and considering everyone here at this restaurant is new things went great. I have high hopes that this will become my favorite lunch spot.

I get pickup from this place often because I work nearby. I’ve never had to wait more than a few seconds and the food is always fresh. One of the best vegan options in flatiron/nomad for sure

This place has a nice ambience and stick to their word. The service is very good, and the staff is respectful. We liked the masala curry bowl and the southwest nachos. Mac and cheese had a synthetic flavor to it, may be because of the cheese. Sweet potato fries were good too. Recommended if you’re into meat substitutes and salads.

Decided to stop by and check them out. For starters it’s very clean & open space. The workers are very friendly, and helpful in suggesting things from the menu. I ordered a Far East bowl and boy was it filled with perfection. Evenly portioned, filled with so many flavors, coconut curry sauce, the Panko/Sesame chicken, pickled veggies. I mean it was so delicious. It’s very filling so I couldn’t eat the whole bowl, but def worth the buy. I’d love to check out other food from their menu. Definitely my lunch spot for the summer.

There is not much VG could do to be better. Everything was flavorful and priced accordingly. We had a bowl, crab sandwich, nachos and a kids burger and fries. I don’t know if they gave us too many fries by mistake but it seemed to be a full orders worth. Everything was hot, came out fast and was tasty as hell. Drinks had great flavor without being overly sweet. The fries had that great outer sling of crisp with a strong creamy potato texture inside. The nachos were outstanding! The corn chips were thick and rustic. The cheese sauce has a tangy spice and was indulgent and rich. My only retreat was not also ordering the cauliflower appetizer!

I didn't know about this place but it is a great find. It looks like plant based fast food, although fast food doesn't give it justice. I tried the Cali Power Bowl and it was delicious. I will definitely go back.

After visiting the Cali locations, I had to see if there was one in NYC and tahdah it was! It’s the only one in NYC. I love their food. I’m always here any chance I get! Not too fond of the potato salad or the Mac n cheese. But there are still some items I have to try!!!! Their burgers are so good though!!!

They have a great outdoor eating area set up. The food is absolutely amazing. It somehow felt both very healthy and indulgent at the same time! Great flavors. Very nice staff. The Ruben was my favorite. It was so tasty.

I was scared to try the vegan sesame chicken because I’m not usually a fan of replacements and it BLEW me away. Best vegan meat replacement I’ve had! The bowl was delicious, herbaceous (with mint and cilantro), and I just overall had a great experience. Also great portion size and great options! We need an uptown location stat!

Food was really good. Tasted better than any fast food joint. Burger tasted phenomenal. The sweet potato fries was good. Clean sitting area.

I went in to order takeout 1/2 hour before the restaurant closed. My order took almost 30min to make, all I ordered was a reuben sandwich and fries. I got home and found a black hair in the sandwich (eeew), and bit into a fry and it tasted like degreaser and chemically burned my mouth. I was sick all night after eating that. The cookies tasted worse than cheap chips ahoy too. Never going back.

Loved it! Four of us are there. Three had the BLT croissant sandwich. It was so good! One had the buffalo wrap and it was good. We tried the Mac and cheese, too, was was ok. Great place!

In 2 weeks of vacation we went to the Veggie Grill 3 times (unfortunately we only took photos once). It was really very tasty. The imitation meat is so well recreated that you can actually think you are eating meat. Prices are a little higher, but you're happy when you can find something other than just burgers and the like in NY. If we travel to the USA again, we will definitely eat at Veggie Grill again. Clear recommendation!!

I must say,the service,the food,the cleanliness & ambience at The Veggie Grill was amazing. They greeted everyone that walked in. They made sure the tables were cleaned after customers were done eating. They had a promotion (4/25/2022)the day I ate there. Buy one get one free burger. So,I had two burgers(Double BBQ Mac Burger & Steakhouse Burger) & a side of Mac & Cheese. I must say,The Steakhouse was my favorite burger there. That wasn’t my first time there and it won’t be my last time. I highly recommend you come and eat here and follow them on every social media they have.

So good! I sampled the cauliflower, bbq wings and blackbean burger .... everything was amazing! Ample dining space inside and out, good RnB and hip-hop background music. The staff us super helpful and friendly. I was served quickly. Prices and portions are very reasonable... I will definitely be back soon!

I visited this place yesterday for the second time in NYC. I loved the concept of vegan tacos and burritos! I have only tried their tacos and they were great, I was very pleased as in general it seemed like they put thought and care in their recipes. The staff was very nice as well.

This HIT-W Restaurant is my version of Fast Food: fresh, healthy, tasty, and fulfilling. Will be visiting here again to sample every item on their 100% Vegan Menu!

Enjoyed the chicken sandwiches - the buffalo sauce adds a nice kick. The side of chili is delicious and filling. The Cajun Fish is good, but not enough of a fishy flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the spiciness of the potato salad overwhelmed the smokey flavor.

I had the house veggie burger, which is mushroom and rice patty, and lentil soup. The food was great. I found the fountain drink to be pricey. Otherwise great food and service.

Love the food and love that there is a place that is all vegan and plant based. I can order anything off the menu without any concerns, yahoooo!!! Staff is awesome too. Only issue is today when I went to place my order there was a group of people (total of 5) eating chic fillet food at the tables. Just didn’t seem right and definitely a contradict to a vegan lifestyle. When I mentioned it to one of the staff members he was really nice and said unfortunately it happens all the time. If I was the owner I would not be happy at all of the perception this would make with the regular clientele. Also where are the real customers suppose to sit if they wanted to sit outside when it’s filled with chic fillet customer.

I didn't order anything. This review is about the staff. They so nice, they are always greeting passersby, not just the customers. It was 8:10PM and I was offered to still order. And one of the owners came.out and gave my dog free vegan doggy biscuits. I definitely will go for lunch one day!
