I love bluestone lane for their avo toast, well-poached eggs, frothy drinks and pastries! I often visit the soho location on spring street. I used to see a very sweet barista there and we used to chat — he always got my order right but was also such a kind neighbor, just compassionate and always concerned about doing right by others. I am terrible with names and I’m pretty sure his name is Eric?! Anyway, I hadn’t seen him at the soho location in a while and assume he left or something happened. Imagine my surprise when I happened to be near Madison Square Park and fancied myself a chai latte on a brisk, wintery morning. I walked into the lobby and up to the counter at this location. and who do I see but this barista!! He had the compassion to ask me how I was doing and mean it. The teams at bluestone really care and it makes such a difference to any customer’s day, really set my morning in a positive motion! I didn’t have a chance to tip Eric (I am so sorry if that is not his name) because he comped my chai, but I wanted to write this review so in the hopes that he will know how much it meant to me!

My favorite coffee is now in my favorite building! Song and Aussie coffee unite in my heart. How can I not give 5 stars? :)

Little coffeeshop inside a big lobby, certainly lacks the feel of other Bluestone Lane locations. No seating.

Excellent service, though we got takeaway coffee it was perfect for a walk through Central Park. The outside setup for takeaway coffee didn’t flow easily but otherwise excellent.

I love this place! So happy they opened here and couldn't ask for such a better team it has. I get Matcha green tea with oat milk my favorite tea and once in a blue a snack to go with breakfast. The finger food's and simple lunch selection is great. I like tasty avocado toast and salmon toast so delicious. Keep up the good work BlueStone lane crew!

Aussie ice latte is so tasty and smooth. We were staying at the New York edition next door, and just wanted to get coffee nearby. It’s great! It’s definitely worth it to try if you are nearby☺️

Latte is fine, aussie latte is guilty as sin but so so good. Do me a favor and avoid their vita coco infused latte drinks though, adds a weird sour/tangyness to lattes that's really off-putting.

It's surprisingly hard to find good coffee in this area. Bluestone lane is hidden away in the building lobby here, but the coffee is worth seeking out. Top notch Americano!!

They don’t skimp on the avocado on the avocado toast, delicious! And the small iced latte I got was closer to the size of a medium at most places, also delicious. Very impressed!

Update your opening hours. Just walked 15 min just to find out it was closed even though the hours say take out open. I won’t be ubering a coffee from you every morning anymore!

The red-haired barista at the 28th Street location was absolutely awful. She was rude and condescending right off the bat despite being approached very politely by my partner and myself. Firstly, she spoke over my partner when he tried to order, wrongly assuming that he wanted the same drink as myself - twice. I ordered an “Aussie iced latte” with oat milk as I can’t tolerate dairy, and she failed to inform me that the drink came with whipped cream in it. I’m pretty sure it’s standard practice when taking an order where someone has requested an alternative to dairy milk to warn them if the drink comes with whipped dairy cream. When I received the drink, my partner apologised as we weren’t aware of this and that I could not have dairy, to which she replied with “you ordered an Aussie iced latte and you KNOW that comes whipped cream.” Firstly, this was stated NOWHERE on the menu. Secondly, she failed to inform me when I was ordering. Thirdly, I AM an Aussie and a standard iced latte in Australia does not contain whipped cream. She huffily said “fine, I’ll make you another one.” Her attitude was so appalling throughout our exchange that I was almost expecting her to secretly put dairy into the new drink (luckily my partner kept an eye on her and made sure she didn’t). Honestly, nothing - not even a bad day - excuses such terrible customer service. The coffee tasted fine but we’ll never be going back. It’s unacceptable to speak to customers so aggressively - she’s an absolute disgrace. Wish I could give zero stars for the worst service I’ve ever encountered in NYC.

Everyone is always happy to be here and they are so attentive to orders and customers. They know most their regulars by name and are the quickest location I have been to.

In terms of coffee I am a fan of the extremes of flavor profiles: either very sweet or dark and bitter. The well-known coffee choices here most definitely fall along the spectrum of sweet for sure.

Go for the coffee, sure, but don't stop there. The food is super good. We love the avocado toast and the chlllequiles. So yummy! They also have a great vegan menu. It's really an awesome spot.
