Boy do I love this pizza!!! This was our second time and did not have near the wait the first time visiting! Be prepared to wait. I think it took about an hour to get through the line but it's so worth it! (This was at 9 pm and we left after 10 pm the line was still just as long. A Friday night though.) We got the supreme without mushrooms and it was seriously amazing! Eat it hot and fresh and you will enjoy every bite. The next night we walked by and there was just as long of a line so I think it may be the norm. Either way though, so worth it!! Be prepared there is only standing tables but we did find a small bench to grab a seat to eat. Love this pizza!!!

Every bit as good as the Google reviews said it would be. With the line around the corner and part way down that street. It moved along relatively quickly and in less than 30 minutes we had our pizza slices! This was on a Friday night at 5pm. It's a big operation and very popular. There is outdoor seating right outside and another undercover area over the sidewalk. Customers generally moved on quite quickly too, so finding somewhere to eat wasn't a problem. Pizzas are served by the slice or a whole pizza and you can order via their website ahead of time for a whole pizza only. We got 4 slices for 2 adults, which was a lot! We finished every crumb. It's a well oiled machine and the staff are super friendly. Look forward to returning next visit! 🍕🇮🇹

Iconic pizza spot right near Times Square. The portion size was also surprisingly very decent, one slice felt enough for a full meal. The place has no chairs and there are standing table inside. There always seems to be long lines but they know how to handle rush hour. The pizza itself was very thin but still good, Worth the hype! 💫 There were loads of pizza slices to choose from and they were extremely fresh out of the oven!I highly recommend this place for a pizza while a visit to time square. I would love to go the next time.

Best pizza place in Times Square (but not all of New York). It's kinda expensive though. You can go to 2Bros and get yourself more bang for the buck at much cheaper prices. They slightly burn their crust on purpose (I guess it makes it fold easier)? This is definitely New York "Quick Pizza" at it's finest. Again, not the Cadillac of Pizza, but the absolute best of what I call "gotta have it now" pizza. Lot's of celebrities go there. Keep in mind that this place has long lines, but they get you out fast. They also have early morning hours of operation (until 3 am). HOWEVER, keep in mind that this is NOT Premium New York Pizza! To find that, look either in Greenwich Village, Little Italy, or Brooklyn. Tip: Google "Scott Weiner, the Pizza Enthusiast" in NYC. This guy actually runs a tour bus out of NYC that takes you all day to different pizza pie places around NYC.

After hearing how great NY pizza is and scoffing at the hype, I can honestly say that I was wrong and the hype is real. Joe’s Pizza really lives up to the title of being “The Best Pizza in New York” - or just the best pizza period. The pizzas are delightfully thin and crispy, have simple but super flavorful toppings, and unlike other pizzas I’ve tried, are not overly salty or greasy. The slices are large enough to make a good sized snack/meal, and at leas than $5 a slice are a total bargain. The line was long when we first arrived but the service was amazingly fast. This is definitely a pizza joint that should not be missed if you’re near Times Square.

There was a big line when we came (evening hours) but it was worth the waiting. They know how to handle rush hours. The pizza was great and it was really worth the price and standing. fun fact - turns out that this place is a thing in Manhattan and a lot of celebrities goes there.

Must try! This is the best pizza I ever had. No seriously. We went twice in one day. Once for lunch and once for a midnight snack. Our favorite is the pepperoni (can't go wrong with a classic) and the Supreme. I didn't like the spinach too much but you might! The pizza comes out pippin hot and there's a nice crunch every bite you take. While you eat, check out the photos of celebrities that visited. It was really fun seeing who we can name off on the wall. Joe's pizza is also featured in a few movies such as spider man. They're always busy but they will get you in and out fast. Their menu is simple and easy to order.

The pizza was okay. The place was crowded and there was no place to sit. Everyone was adding seasoning, salt, pepper, etc. to add some flavor. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. I think my expectations were high due to reading previous reviews and all of the celebrity photos posted around the restaurant.

Pizza in New York really hit different! Super delicious! The dough is crunchy and the pizza has perfect sauce. It wasn’t soggy and each bite is full over flavor. The line for the pizza was CRAZY! When you’re inside the restaurant, it was disorganized and very crowded! The prices for the pizza is very reasonable and the slice is pretty big.

Joe's Pizza is a slice of heaven for pizza enthusiasts. The iconic New York pizzeria delivers a classic yet unparalleled pizza experience. The thin, crispy crust provides the perfect foundation for the rich tomato sauce and gooey cheese. Toppings, whether traditional or inventive, are fresh and flavorful. The no-frills atmosphere adds to the authenticity, creating a timeless pizza joint ambiance. Joe's commitment to quality and consistency has rightfully earned its reputation as a must-visit for anyone craving a genuine and satisfying pizza in the heart of New York City.

The pizza here is delicious. You get a huge slice for 4 bucks. This is authentic New York style so it hits the spot (I love the crust). Expect a long line on weekends, but the wait is worth it. Trust me. You need to try it if in town!

Classic NY Pizza | Great Taste | Quick Service No matter what time of the day you visit this place, you’re sure to find a long line. That is a testimony to the popularity of the place. Located on Broadway in the heart of Times Square, Joe’s Pizza is known for his iconic NY style pizza. The volume of sales this place does in a day allows them to keep the cost of each slice of pizza around $5. Many famous personalities have paid homage to this place, yet the place exudes a humble vibe.

This is a well known place and the line was down the block. The staff was very good. We had only the cheese slices but they had a good variety of other types. To be honest their pizza was good but not fantastic enough to make me want to wait 30-45 min in a line. I grew up in NJ and there are plenty of good pizza places that make just as good if not better pizza. If you are not from the east coast, you did not grow up with good pizza so this place seems great.

Good tasting pizza, crust is right thickness and flavor is just right. Fold it and chow down. Long lines but moves quick and employees are super nice. Seating is limited but your supposed to eat and let the other person enjoy theirs.

Expect a line of people outside even at 2am here at Joe’s. The queue goes fast so you don’t really have to wait that long. Their pizza is quite good. Not the best I’ve tried. Their signature is the crust that is really crunchy and has a good char. The best thing about this place — they’re open until 4AM! Yay!

Joe’s Pizza: A Slice of Heaven in the Heart of the New York City If you’re visiting the famous Time Square and looking for a place to satisfy your pizza cravings, look no further than Joe’s Pizza. This legendary spot has been serving up authentic New York/Italian - style pizza since 1975. The crust is thin and crispy, and the sauce is tangy and fresh. You can choose from a variety of toppings, or go for the classic plain cheese slice, as we (with my kids) did. Joe’s Pizza is located at Broadway, Time Square, which makes it a convenient stop for tourists. You can grab a slice and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city, or take it to go and eat it on the run. Either way, you’ll be treated to a delicious and affordable meal. Joe’s Pizza is more than just a pizza place. It’s a part of the city’s history and culture. Many celebrities have visited Joe’s Pizza over the years, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Anne Hathaway, and Kevin Bacon. You never know who you might bump into when you order a slice at Joe’s Pizza.

Truly lives up to the best pizza of New York. Really descent mozzarella, tomatoes sauce was on point and not too salty. The crust was a bit tough, but that’s expected with a thinner pizza. The wait at 1pm on a Saturday was about an hour, but the line moves fast. Probably wouldn’t come that often because if the wait, but overall great pizza.

Delicious thin pizza open late if you're in the times square area. The one with sausage pepperoni and onion is the best. There might be a long line but it moves pretty fast. $5 card minimum, and each pizza is under $5 so make sure you have some cash. Some drinks are available too. There is standing/sitting inside and outside (covered outside area).

Stopped at Joe's while in town and it was definitely the best slices for the price. The staff was great and really fast to get your order to you. It's awesome seeing all of the celebrities on the wall who also think Joe's has the best pizza in the area. I highly recommend stopping in.

No queue if you come early in the day, but if it’s in the night and there is a long queue - it’s totally worth even 30 minutes wait! The pizza is cheap, and I always ask for mine to-go as they heat it up a little bit extra 🥰 I recommend taking the pizza across the street to the public seats and tables. I brought some industry colleagues to Joe’s after a networking party, and everyone was so impressed and happy after some drinks and smoke. Best place to go even when I’m alone and on a budget 😃 One slice is usually enough because they are huge, but even if you do 2 slices and a drink plus tips it should stay around $10.

For reheated NY slices, this place delivers. The line was out the door, but not crazy. It went fast. When you go inside the person taking orders may ask you what you want then ignore you while he pumps out a few more slices. Don't stress. He'll be back to take your order. Then when you get your slices go outside in the patio area and enjoy some people watching while you eat. Pepperoni was the best. (I still think Tony's from San Francisco is better)

One of the best street food in NY. The dough is really good. The ingredients are fresh. They offer thin crust regular crust and deep dish we tried them all with different topping. And the prices are affordable.

We were expecting great food experience however our cheese slice was really average also burnt under. There is so many other good places in the city where you can have a fantastic slice of pizza. Plus for the place and vibe inside, however I would not order it again.

Braving the line at Joe's Pizza is a rewarding experience. Though it may wind between a dozen or so people or extend around the corner, the pace is surprisingly swift, so don't be disheartened by the sight of a lengthy queue. During my visit, I indulged in the delightful variety of flavors offered, ordering four distinct toppings, each proving to be excellent. What sets Joe's Pizza apart is not just the efficiency of the line but also the impeccable quality of their creations. The crust, thin and crunchy with every bite, achieves a good balance with the generous layers of sauce and cheese. Having frequented both this location and others scattered throughout the city, I can attest to the consistent and delicious experience on every occasion. This pizzeria is more than a mere eatery; it's a destination worthy of sharing with friends, coworkers, or family visiting from out of town. New York pizza, exemplified by Joe's, reigns supreme in my culinary preferences. Each slice feels like a little piece of heaven, and the service adds to the charm – swift, kind, and attentive, always accompanied by a friendly smile. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you, Joe's Pizza, for consistently delivering a slice of perfection! Yum!

Title: A Slice of Heaven on Broadway ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Joe's Pizza on Broadway is a true gem for pizza enthusiasts like myself. The moment you step in, the aroma of freshly baked dough and savory toppings engulfs you, setting the stage for a delightful culinary experience. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring a seamless dining or takeout process. What sets Joe's Pizza apart is the authenticity of their flavors. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside, yet wonderfully soft on the inside—a testament to the artisanal approach they take in crafting their dough. The tomato sauce has a rich, robust taste that complements the gooey, melted cheese and fresh toppings. Whether you're a traditionalist who loves a classic Margherita or someone who enjoys bold and inventive combinations, Joe's Pizza has a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes. The cozy ambiance makes it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or a quick solo lunch. In a city known for its pizza, Joe's Pizza on Broadway stands out as a slice of heaven, delivering consistently exceptional taste and friendly service. It has rightfully earned its reputation as a go-to spot for pizza lovers in the heart of the city.

A NY experience that I’m sure many visitors such as myself want to try. This location on Time Square is definitely busier than the one on Greenwich. If you’re patient enough to brave the line however, it’s worth the experience. A great crunch to the pizza and dry with not a bit of that greasy pizza experience. The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni had a great flavor. A must try spot if you’re in the area.

BEST pizza l've ever had!! In my opinion, classic cheese is the way to go with it being New York style pizza you can never go wrong with plain cheese!! Especially with it being THIS good here at Joe's. Also, love the whole atmosphere here! They've got all kinds of cool pics of celebrities that have been here, and it's just a really cute place. Cannot wait to come back!

Rainy day. It was chaotic. Expect line up. Staff works fast and hard. Cashier was friendly. The pizza is one of the best of the classic NY style. We had the cheese pie. Managed to get a few seats. Not enough Parmesan and pepper flake shakers to go around so people are passing around the same ones. Best option is to take it to go. No vegan options if you need dairy free option.

My son had found this place because it was recommended by some YouTubers so we went to check it out. The line was out of the door! The line moved really quick though. You know the pizza is good when everyone is standing and eating the pizza because they just could not wait to enjoy the pizza. The walls are covered in pictures of celebrities that have eaten there which was really cool. This place is literally the definition of a "Hole in the Wall". It's tiny with the best pizza. The pizzas sold are the same price as chain pizza restaurants. I recommend their speciality which is cheese pizza. We ordered a whole pie of cheese pizza and my husband, two kids and I finished it within 10 minutes. It was so good. It's the best pizza ever. Do yourself a favor and just go!

Best damn pizza place we had in new York city. It was worth the line up. Only suggestion is eat it warm vs taking it back to the hotel. We came back a few times during our stay. Line goes quick. Standing and sitting is limited when it gets busy.

Mediocre pizza. The crust is nice but that's it. I had the pepperoni and white pizza abd flavor wasn't there. Just bland and nothing exciting. Not worth the hype. And definitely not that cheap as many people have said. Supper busy!

5 stars doesn’t seem enough for this SUPERB pizza place, a short walk from Times Square. The lineup was out the door, but still moved quickly. Trust me this is worth the wait. Generous slices and you can’t beat the price of $4. The cheese slice is fantastic. Crispy, thin, yet gooey. Just perfect. Not much seating indoors, but there is a small eating area outside. Very friendly staff and great customer service. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back.

The best pizza I have ever had. The service is really fast if your just getting a slice. Personally I would recommend the white pizza it is to die for. The place gets really busy and there is not many seats available to sit down, so pretty much consider this a take out only place.

Our visit to Joe's Pizza in New York was a blast! Despite the long line and a 25-minute wait, the delicious pizza made it worthwhile. The option to sit inside added to the positive experience. The all cheese and four cheese pizzas were definite highlights. We had a great time, and the flavors were truly memorable. Looking forward to returning!

Absolutely worth the wait. A cheap, classic NY slice. There’s definitely other good slices in the city if you know where to go but you will never be let down by Joe’s. Both the cheese and pepperoni slices were crispy and delicious. A highlight for NYC

As iconic as Joe’s Pizza is, their pizza is consistently good but not great if you will. We tried slices of the classic cheese and white pizza, both of which were solid, but we definitely liked the white more. If you’re in the Times Square area, it’s worth giving this place a shot for a late night slice.

Nice little pizza joint. An NYC classic. Went mostly for location and history. Has very little seating but the slices were hot and the good enough. Nice wall of celebrities that have frequented. The pizza was not bad but not mind blowing great.

Great spot to stop for a delicious slice. Even if there is a long line they keep it moving quickly. There is space to eat but it's all standing style tables. I enjoyed all the photos of people who have visited Joe's previously that are on the walls.

The pizza is just about fine. I think it's the speed that makes it hard for the team to focus on overall taste. Most popular choices are catered to but they are just a few.

  • 5/5 Jamie A. 2 years ago on Google
I've been going to the Joe's in the village since as long as I could remember. Just recently discovered they had other locations including this one on Broadway. The area doesn't have the same charm but the pizza is just as good and they even have more options. Great location that's more convenient to where I was. It's a little more crowded since it's a high traffic area but it was in and out in no time.

DISCLAIMER - Visited in November of 2019. On an unusually warm evening. It was great. My first trip to New York and I needed to experience true New York Style pizza. The great store of the New York style pizza!! That is, crispy, thin, and extra large slices of pizza. Last, but not least, pizza is extraordinarily delicious!! You may be surprised at the long queue in front of the store, but I believe you will not regret joining it if you are looking for delicious pizza (and you will not wait so long as expected). Try the pizza before leaving NYC.

Lined up for 25 minutes. Line was moving quickly and food/service was worth the wait. Got a white with spinach and garlic and cheese slice with extra cheese (total $10) pizza was great. Thin crust and not droopy, perfectly done. I didn’t try any other spots so have nothing to compare it too, I would still recommend trying this spot.

Great reviews .... maybe I stopped in on a bad day. This is my honest opinion: 1)It was good but not the best. 2)The head (crust) had more thickness than the body (slice). 3)The bottom of the pizza was slightly burnt but not too much but just a tad too much. Luckily the flavorful sauce took away the small burnt taste. 4)The line moved Quickly I was happy with that! 5)The ingredients they use are indeed fresh! Don't believe me check the 🍅sauce. I'll probably get this slice again the next time I'm on 42nd street. But I stopped here b/c I wanted pizza and I'm all hype for high reviews. It wasn't a let down but I'm just kinda bummed out I paid $3.75 for a cheese slice and it didn't match the reviews. But I'll try again next time 🥺😔. I'm grateful and thank you💜🥰

It was worth standing in line waiting for more than 30 minutes... (the line reached beyond the corner!). Once inside the place you start to smell good pizza. You can also smell the history of the city. On the walls there is a collection of photographs with celebrities who did not want to miss what they say is the best pizza in NY. The best I can't guarantee, but I can hardly eat a better one!

My first slice of pizza in New York and it was at the iconic Joe’s Pizza. Without any point of reference for New York pizzas I would say it was as I expected - delicious, perfectly crisp base and the ingredients used were absolutely fresh which made the whole experience worth it! There was a long queue but it was moving quickly so didn’t had to wait very long. Heard some passerby saying it’s not that best and overrated. I found it pretty good but will try more places over the coming days.

Was definitely crowded even after midnight. The pizza was decent as well. Never had a pizza with more spinach than cheese itself 😅 but was different but good taste. Beside being crowded, it was overall good. Just try all of their pizzas and you'll know what the hype is really about. Definitely recommend.

Amazing pizza .I know they get a lot of tourists , but the pizza is great. Perfect crust and sauce. Even better than I thought it would be. Use the Slice app to order so that will save a lot of time with a long line if you want a pie. I went there right after I finished running the NY marathon. I know they have other locations in the city I suggest a full pie when possible. The line can get long for slices.

So glad we managed to get in and have pizza here. We were in New York for 5 days every time we went past there was a queue. You have to catch a pizza slice on the off chance when there is no queue we did at 1530 in the afternoon. The pizza slice was amazing, well worth the wait, there is no other pizza in like it. We have had our fare share of pizza tasting, this place is the real deal.
