We stopped here and it was really busy! It is quite a famous pizza spot. The pizza is fresh and the slices are large. We really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. The vibe is also nice, with cool music playing!

I can see why they are a big boy in the NYC pizza game! This pizza is the typical NY style pizza and it is delicious!! Two slices for lunch can easily get you through dinner! Loved all the wall decor as well. Definitely come here for pizza if you are near the 911 memorial.

Definitely worth the hype. Something about the pizza made it better than every other slice in the city. Part of it was probably the hype but this is considered one of the best for a reason. The cheese was creamy and almost sweet and the dough was delicious. Definitely a NYC must try.

Everyone was telling me to check out Joe's when I visited NY and I was certainly not disappointed. By far the best slice I have had in the US to date. There do be queues down the block but honestly it was worth it. Definitely go check it out you won't be disappointed. Oh and grab a Mexican Cocoa Cola, it's made with sugar cane. Far better than the standard cola. Highly recommended.

The hype is worth it. Famous individuals have gone here for a reason. For a fairly decent price in Manhattan ~5 you get a good variety of pizza. More towards of a thin crust, decent amount of cheesy (not greasy, which is appreciated) and quality toppings.

So delicious! The crust was perfectly crispy, slightly chewy, with the most perfect fire roasted flavor. At first glance, you may think the bottom of the crust appears burnt, but it does not have a burnt texture or flavor. It is the smokiness from the type of oven used. And the flavor of the sauce tastes so authentically Italian. Perfect blend of Buffalo mozzarella, with spinach and red sauce on the Spinach slice. And the perfect fresh basil and tomato with mozzarella on the Caprice slice. Just like a taste of Heaven! The most perfect NY pizza I have had so far! Actually the best pizza I have ever had to date, in my entire life!!!!! 😊 😋 😃 🤸‍♀️ 💃 🍕 🎉 .. Also, there was a long line when we went just after dark, but the line moves pretty fast. Very limited indoor seating, so we had to eat on the run. But still worth it to me!

After visiting the World Trade Center museum and the walking tour, our tour guide recommended Joe’s pizza for authentic NY style pizza. My daughter and I really enjoyed it! We went on a Saturday night and the line was out the door but it moved a quickly. There isn’t a lot of seating inside but we were able to snag two seats. The pizza was really good and we enjoyed looking at all the photos of the famous people who had visited in the past. If you’re in the area, definitely check out Joe’s!

While I'm not usually a pizza fan, the hype around Joe's pizza in NYC is so massive that even I couldn't resist its charm. Picture this: Sunday night, Times Square, a line that could rival a blockbuster movie premiere! I thought, "Let's save the pizza adventure for Monday." So, down by Wall Street, the pizza magic happened. We went for the classic trio – cheese, spinach, and Mozzarella slices. Oh boy, it was a flavor explosion! Imagine a thin, crispy crust that's basically a flavor sled for your taste buds. Trust me, this pizza is worth every cheesy bite. Give it a shot, you won't regret it! 🍕

Whenever I research for pizza place in New York, Joe’s pizza always comes up. So, we decided to try it because there was quite a line in front of it. The place was tiny and super crowded. We were lucky to get seats near the counter but were sitting uncomfortably with people lining up behind us. We felt like this was just a tourist trap in NY. The pizza was just meh. The crust was too thin and super hard. The sauce was just okay. - Cheese pizza: the cheese was good but the edge crust was super hard - Mozzarella pizza: the mozzarella tasted fresh but again the edge crust was hard & slightly burnt that we had to throw away

Definitely the best pizza I’ve ever had. The Supreme is heavenly , the mozzarella is also heavenly, the Sicilian is pretty good but not as good as the actual pizza. Service is hectic but authentic, the guys are good at what they do just be direct and to the point. Real New York pizzeria vibe to it and that’s just what I wanted. GO HERE

Good spot to stop at for a bite of pizza for sure. I got the two slices of the classic cheese pizza and both were good and light. There was a small wait for 10pm on Saturday but that’s expected given how popular this place is. There’s a spot outside to eat your pizza at too so everything is set up conveniently for you. The inside of the store is plastered with photographs of celebrities which is cool to look at as you wait for your slices or pie. Overall solid experience but I think I’d rank this spot after some of the other ones that I’ve tried (Di Fara, Lucali, John’s, L&B, etc)

I found it pretty basic. Nothing special considering NY being famous for Pizza. Taste was pretty much bland (as per my Indian taste buds). I had to put lots of oregano and chilli flakes to make it little tasty. I ordered slices of cheese and supreme. Both were okayish. I have tasted much better in other places. Since it was operating till late, I am giving it few stars. Note: this review is as per my taste buds but there was some good queue for the pizza

Went there on a Sunday night at 9 pm on Labor Day weekend before going to an Alan walker rave at Webster hall. The line was about 15 people out the door. So we definitely had to try this. The place smelled amazing. And the pictures of all the celebrities were so fun to look at. The gentleman at the register was real lively and laughing and cracking jokes with the customers. Got a cheese and meat lovers pizza for about 9 dollars. There was so much meat and toppings on the meat lovers slice. Could not wait to get back to my hotel room to eat it. This is what New York pizza is about. Not too greasy, the integrity of the crust was perfectly balanced. The cheese was perfectly cooked and not too melted. I got back at 4 am after the rave and had my other slice of pizza left and have never been happier in my life. If you’re around lower Manhattan or midtown Manhattan you have to visit one of their locations. This was one of my favorite places I went to spending the weekend in the city on Labor Day. If I’m ever back in the city for some time I’m making sure I come back to this one or a different location.

Heard this place was really good and it didn’t disappoint! I love the thin and large slices. It was busy but considering the hype I waited 15-20 minutes in line. Fresh slices and they warmed up the pizza some more in the oven to make sure the cheese stretches!

A New York must try and some of the best pizza you’ll have. Limited seating, but people move in and out quickly so we didn’t have a problem finding a stand up table. Pizza was ready super quick.

Quite a long queue that went out the door, but the service was quick and we were able to get to the front and order quite quickly! Prices a bit expensive. Your typical & very good NYC style pizza slices - worth a visit and would go again!

The World Trade Center guide recommended Joe's Pizza and it was an excellent recommendation! It was a new experience for us being in a crowd but it ran smoothly and we were able to order and enjoy the pizza. Pizza was great.

Heard good things thought I’d check it out. It was very busy but they get you through the line quickly. The pizza came out hot and it was really, really good. The atmosphere is what you’d expect for a NYC pizzeria and I loved it. Highly recommend. Prices weren’t bad either.

Joe's is a well known pizza place near the 9/11 memorial that serves several types of decent NYC style pizza by the slice. Lots of celeb pics on the walls. Pick what type you want and they'll heat it up for you. Best eaten after being heated up. The texture of the dough is pretty good and there's good seasoning but I found the pizza a bit dry. Not the best pizza I've ever had but worth trying if you're in the area.

The pizza here is great! Definitely top 10 I've had in New York! It's iconic as well! Stop by and grab a slice! Two slices and a sprite cost me just under $12.

Joe's is a great place to take all your out of town friends to try a New York slice. It's beautifully thin and it doesn't sacrifice flavor in any way. Their sauce is sweet that doesn't flatten out as you chew, the cheese is soft and salty. And the best thing about it? It's not that greasy. The only thing I found that could use an extra flavor bump is their dough. Just placed outside of the financial district, it's a pretty easy place to get to! It's not the original location, but as long as the execution is there. It's a slice of Joe's!

One of the more famous and well-known pizza of New York, Joe's Pizza was worth the trip there, I would probably say it's one of the top five pizzas in the city. Lots of flavor all nice foldable crispy crust, I had a couple pepperoni slices and they were great, would definitely recommend this place for sure!

This was my fist time in NYC and Joe’s pizza was life changing. I ordered a whole cheese pizza pie. I shared it with my husband and we ate the entire pie! It was an incredible pizza and now I understand why NYC pizza is the best pizza in the world.

By far, this is the best pizza place in NYC. I like the vibes of this place compared to the one near timesquare. Not tooo busy lines, fast service. Also, the best part is, you can your pizza while having the World Trade center view. Prices are same at both places. But I like this one. Highly recommended 💛⭐️💛⭐️💛⭐️

Good NY slice, but not as traditional as I expected. It's almost Neopolitan inspired. Very light but no real crisp to the crust at all. Very floppy. Not soupy, though, so I don't hate it. Solid sauce. Cheese is weird texturally and not particularly flavorful. Flavor of crust is good and it has nice structure. Overall 7.6. Good pizza but I don't know what Dave is thinking giving this place an 8.3 or 8.5.

  • 3/5 Cindy N. 7 months ago on Google
Average pizza that wasn’t worth the hype. The pizza was overpriced for what you get, more sauce and not much actual cheese. The other competing pizza spots in the area are worth checking out and are at a much more reasonable price point. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for it, maybe if there’s a short line up and you’re visiting for the first time.

Looooved the pizza here. The best pizza I had so far. Simple but really good. Fast service and they are all friendly. We ate here 2 during our 3 day visit and I wish we had them in Germany. I will definitely come back again! Pizza ist very delicious and just perfect.

I absolutely HATE pizza 🍕, but all I could say is WOW! This place was amazing. The guy in the picture, who works the counter, deserves a raise! He fast, efficient, organized, and kept the line moving. Very authentic. Very real. Very NYC! Chicago style pizza. What’s that?

  • 5/5 Danny G. 1 year ago on Google
What a fantastic pizza! Buy it by the slice, or get a whole one. The slices are very large, one is enough for someone on the go. There is always pizza available so there's never any wait, even at peak times. Once you get to the front of the queue, your food will be ready. Check out the photos of the celebrities who have visited Joe's over the years which decorate the walls.

What a great place to pick up a slice of pizza in NYC. It was really good. I even bought an extra slice to take home and eat later that night. So glad they survived the covid lockdown. THANK YOU!!! It was really hard to find a place to eat during covid. It's more back to normal now.

I just tried the pizza at Joe's Pizza and it was amazing! The crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the sauce had just the right balance of flavors. The service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back for more delicious slices. Also, the Spider Man place!

Leave NY style pizza to Joe’s. We were in NYC for one week, we tried multiple pizza joints, and Joe’s pizza is hands-down, the best in NYC. It didn’t help that our hotel was a one minute walk away- anytime day or night we’d hop over to Joe’s for a couple slices or a whole pie. We had Joe’s more times than I am willing to admit. If you see a line out the door and wrapped around the sidewalk, don’t turn around. The line does go pretty fast and It’s. Worth. The. Wait. It’s so good that Joe’s made it on our Delta flight back home to the west coast. Put it in the air fryer and bam! A little slice of NYC in San Diego. Thanks Joe for making our NYC trip memorable with some fabulous pizza!

We loved it . I’ve been to other locations and they’re all consistently fast reasonable, hot, and tasty . Good size slices for the price . Two drinks and four slices $23 ! How can you beat that ? Line moves quick . They’ve got plenty of help so very efficient . Clean and also wheelchair accessible at this location . I can’t remember if the others are . Outside covered seating on the street . Only. Few tables but that’s all he needs , you fold that slice in half ? Chow & go . It’s all about the crust for me . Just right and cooked perfectly . Staff friendly even with all the crowd . Fun to look at all the pics of celebs who’ve stopped in over the years . I didn’t see a bathroom but just go before you get there , it’s worth it .

A lot of ppl from NY/NJ told me that NY pizza is different, so I had an expectation before I tried. As a person who is not a fan of pizza, the taste itself was pretty satisfactory. But 1) I had to wait an hour (maybe because it was holiday seson) 2) employees were so unfriendly (assuming because they are very busy, but still) 3) you literally have to stand on the street to eat. I liked the taste of pizza, but I would not revisit again. It was a good experience though.

Pretty good slice with high quality ingredients. They won't recommend it but if you don't mind it a little chewier you can just heat it up in the microwave and it will still taste excellent. good place to get a big pie and eat it over the next day or two

Wonderful eatery in the Financial District. Very efficient and friendly staff. Pizza always hot and made from scratch. Price was excellent and small outside dining area was a nice addition. Had travelled all day to NY and asked the Bellman at the Millennium Hilton where would be the first place he ate after check in and he said "you ever been to Joe's?" Then went out on the street with me and showed me the way. Ate there two times in three days. Loved the place, you will too.

Joe's Pizza was the unexpected first love in NYC. I didn't expect to fall so hard, but I did it anyway. Their Caprese Pizza was so tasty and not just in a post "drunken night" sort of way - it's the pizza that you will try sober and want to continue eating in broad daylight. They have a wall full of celebrity Joe's fans - I now know the reason why 😉
