INCREDIBLE! One of the best restaurants I had in New York. Get the Chicken Tangine with green herbs sauce. So flavorful and tender. We also ordered the veggie couscous and breakfast plate. Everything tasted so balanced, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Restaurant is large too with a lot of seating, the back room with natural lighting and plants was our favorite. Service is fast and kind too. Next time, I want to try the Lamb Shank tangine with stewed apricots and prunes sauce.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn and all of the Tri-State! I’ve been to both locations and I’m never let down! They use the finest quality ingredients and you can taste it every time. It’s like be transported across the ocean to Morocco when you dine here. The staff here at the BK establishment we’re great! They were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, courteous about any sensitivities (including sugar) and quick to address any of our needs. The food came out in a timely manner and the dinner service felt great with a good pace. Not rushed, or served anything “lukewarm” or stale. I have to say that the soup of the day was stellar! Perfectly seasoned, without the want or need to even add a tsp of salt! Then the tabouli was bright and refreshing. We tried the pita and that tasted homemade and was so delicious we had to have more. The sauce for the tagine was divine and the skewers tasted “clean”. Fresh delicious food that had me leaving the table feeling full but not sluggish as one might feel with fried foods. The coffee and tea also were a delight. If you’re in the area, this is certainly a stop you want to make on your food tour!

I think the stand-out of this restaurant is the presentation of their food and good value. Beautifully plated, their Salmon on toast lets you feast with your eyes before you taste it. The value is also great, with their prices being comparable to the rest of Williamsburg, yet offering great quality. Service was alright, though sometimes we felt rushed to finish our meals.

Been coming here for a decade, never ever does it disappoint. Incredible tasty food, lots of spice if you like, friendly staff, lively atmosphere and just an overall great vibe. Highly recommend! The Zhatar blackened chicken was out of this world! Good wine selects as well! 6 stars

Solid brunch spot in Williamsburg. Do expect a wait, but know that it’ll be worth it once you get seated. The brunch menu is lengthy and you really cannot go wrong. We opted for the salmon cake sandwich & the chicken pita sandwich. Both had great flavor and we left very full. Also, the wait staff is incredibly friendly!

We made a reservation for 5:30 on a Friday and I’m glad we did. By 6 PM the place was packed. The restaurant was dim lit with cozy vibes. We got the chance to sit in the back room, which was filled with plants which made the air fresh. We ordered the hummus and falafel and the lamb with couscous. The couscous was amazing and the lamb literally fell off the bone. The drinks were good, but expensive considering the size.

Arrived around 6pm with no booking and we were offered a table outside or at the bar, where we could eat or we could get a drink and wait for a table to come up on the restaurant floor which they estimated at 20-25 mins. We opted to have a drink at the bar and a table came up in the restaurant within 10-15 mins which was great. Service was excellent, friendly and prompt but not pushy. We got the hummus and babaganoush to start - hummus was good. Have had better babaganoush. Bread would have been a better eating experience if it was warm but was soft and pillowy. Mains I got the zatar chicken special - chicken was super juicy and delicious! Partner went for the lamb coucous - needs a little more sauce going on but otherwise nice. Meals are huge - you’re better to share one main between two! Cocktails were lovely. A very nice night

A lovely date spot!!! The Moroccan tea is really good and the cheesecake is yummy. We ordered the bastille and chicken from the grill and everything was delicious. Would definitely come back again

Good brunch place with an atmospheric inside area and a terrace. Gets pretty busy, but we were able to get a table without any wait at 12pm on a Sunday. Great brunch options - a twist of a Moroccan place with traditional brunch options. The Moroccan tea was really nice. The food was tasty and filling.

Must order MOROCCAN TAGINES lamb shank with stewed apricot & prunes. Lamb is soft and very tasty. Also, FROM THE GRILL mixed grill is good to try various kind of meats. Great place with cozy vibe. We didn’t make a reservation, just walk in around 17:30, the staff got us seated directly. Inner decor is stylish. Comfortable to dine in. There are outside seating if you’d wish.

All the food here was amazing and so worth the wait. We waited around 30 minutes after being told it would be around 45 and the hostess was so lovely about the whole thing. The lamb shank and sauce were absolutely incredible. I really loved the duck confit too and the arugula was a nice touch to balance out the heaviness. The harissa ketchup was so addictive as well. We weren’t even very hungry going in but the menu just sounded too good and we were so glad we tried everything. Mango martini was nicely fruity. The cheesecake was good but I kind of wanted something more from it flavor-wise to make it pop and round off the dinner more. The interior was a lot bigger than I expected and there was ample outdoor seating as well. There is a bathroom inside and a little waiting area right outside the restaurant.

Cafe Mogador is a small, cozy haven tucked away in the heart of the city, and my recent experience left me thoroughly impressed. While the service was a tad slow, the key is to plan ahead and order everything at once. The wait was worth it as the Moroccan Tagines with lamb shank and stewed apricot and prunes exceeded my expectations. The lamb was incredibly tender, and to my delight, there was no overpowering lamb smell, perfect for someone like me who can be picky about lamb dishes. For appetizers, the crispy cauliflowers and hummus were impeccable, scoring a solid 10/10. The tabbouleh, while not my favorite, still held its ground with a 5/10. The matbucha was a delightful surprise, earning a well-deserved 10/10, and even though I'm not a huge fan of halloumi, my friends enjoyed it, giving it a respectable 6/10. Surprisingly, on a bustling Saturday night, we didn't have to wait in line, defying the norm as per my friends' experiences. The cocktails were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding an extra touch to the overall dining experience. Speaking of my friends, they are already regulars at Cafe Mogador, and after this delightful evening, I can confidently say that I will be joining their ranks. The combination of a warm ambiance, delectable dishes, and efficient service (despite the slight delay) makes Cafe Mogador a gem in the city that's well worth a visit.

I love this place, I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. It’s actually my favorite restaurant in Williamsburg. The hostess’, servers and bartenders are very attentive and pleasant. The service is fast and flawless. The FOOD is on another level of good, I’ve probably had everything on the menu. The hummus is great! Best hummus I have ever had.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Let's start with the service. The waitress came to get our order and was polite. However, a couple next to us ordered after and they received their food long before us. She seemed very busy. And when our food arrived she didn't come to check on us at all. The price was 2 chicken kebab meals and 2 coca colas was 67$ including tip. That is absurd. Here is why: 1. The french fries not only were flavorless but were straight out of a freezer and old. 2. The chicken kebab, rice and Vegetable kebab were way overcooked. Nothing had any flavor. There was even a couple next to us complaining about the food. I was extremely disappointed with this place. I hate giving bad reviews but this is not a place I recommend. Especially not for this price.

We came for a quick bite after hearing great things about Cafe Mogador from friends and reviewers. My boyfriend loved the Chicken Tagine with the apricots and plums!!! The hummus was authentic and gone within minutes. We cannot wait to come back for more. I came back another time with my sister and niece to experience the brunch menu. I was so impressed with the fresh ingredients and flavor in each dish. I loved the Greek Salad, which was perfectly made from the light dressing to the variety of textures. My sister loved her Moroccan eggs, using every drop off the sauce with her bread and couscous. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for fresh flavors and delicious food.

A charming neighborhood restaurant with a strong brunch menu and intriguing drink program. If you’re a party of 1 or 2 and pop in during lunch without a reservation I suggest sitting at the bar as it feels more casual and also has less of a wait. The pita bread is pillow-y and delicious, though the fries are a bit crispier than I prefer them. Overall it has earned its stars and I would swing by anytime for a bite or just a cocktail.

It was my first time trying Moroccan food. I was very pleased with the food, but I wouldn’t say it is the most delicious food I have had. I was still impressed by the taste. I am giving it 4 stars because it was pricey and very small plate for the price. I’d love to try more stuff on their menu. 😁

One of my old time favorites. Food is always on point and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. Perfect for a date night, family dinner, meet up with friends, basically any occasion. Most recently I tried vegitable couscous and I must say - I think I found my perfect match. Can't go wrong with hummus and falafel either. They do have plenty of room inside along with the bar right in the front. They do get busy around dinner time, but anytime I came by, we were sitter within 5 minutes without reservations. Definitely give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Not many places can make me to make more than 2 train transits and this one is one of them. Don’t think it is worth the while but still liked the spices. The day was rainy and we had to sit outside. The food was initially semi-soaked with the rain so we weren’t entirely happy, though the food were great. Generally tried three things: The hummus with pita Pita is so soft and stretchy! A bit puffy and nice to go with hummus. I wish I saved some to eat with the meat but the pita was so good just on its own. The hummus was fine, nothing really special. The mixed grill The grill combo of sausage, chicken kebab, and lamb kefta. The char on the skewers were nice touches, but the flavors didn’t wow me: it is something I would expect to know the flavors. Lamb shank Tender and sweet, as we ordered with the sauce with chickpeas, raisins, and caramelized onions. The meat is very very tender and was cooked and served in the traditional Moroccan tagine pot. It was finished before we could snap a photo (so order it lol) No desserts as we are stuffed. Do reserve and try to go on a sunny day. Even if you have to wait, the Brooklyn location in Williamsburg has many other fun things to offer so guests can take their sweet time (if they do not get hangry).

Came for a late Saturday brunch. Sat outside since it was packed indoors - not ideal but it is what it is. I had the Moroccan benedict. It was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but solid. Husband had the pancakes which he loved. Overall decent experience, maybe would have enjoyed it more if we sat indoors. I don't feel it really lives up to the hype but it's not bad either.

Been there a bunch of times and they don’t disappoint. Love their Moroccan mint tea and tajines. Plus, the folks working there are super nice and the place itself is cozy and decorated out beautifully. Can't wait to go back.

Delicious! They were super accommodating to my two year old, very friendly, and the food was so tasty. We enjoyed our time here. The portion sizes were small, so if you’re a big eater, get some starters!

We stumbled upon this little gem after popping into another cafe for breakfast and leaving (other cafe didn’t have pancakes and that was a deal breaker LOL) So, Cafe Mogador DOES have pancakes and incredible pancakes at that. It tasted like funnel cake with the powered sugar, we were blown away. Must have forgotten to take of photo, oops. Everything our lovely servers recommended to us was amazing. Wished they had hollandaise for the eggs Benedict but they only have it on weekends, but food was delish even without. It was breakfast/brunch and we had gelato too. The mint tea to wrap up the meal was simply delightful Will be back for sure!!

The food, the service, the ambiance - all excellent! Their flafel and hummus is one of the best ones I've had. Decent cocktail selection, their backyard seating option is beautiful. I try not to go back to the same restaurant given we have so many options, but this one is the exception.

Really delicious Middle Eastern food. Great for both vegetarians and omnivores. Plenty for vegan guests as well. Lovely serving staff. Had a great visit. Slightly loud environment- but I feel that about a lot of restaurants nowadays to be honest!

Celebrated a birthday with a small group and had an absolutely wonderful time here! Shannon was super responsive over the phone, via email, and in person, and all the staff went out of their way to make the evening special for us. We had a little hiccup with a cake we brought in but the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We loved the lamb tagine, the special duck confit with fries, and had fun getting adventurous with the unique cocktails (olive oil martini!?). We ended the evening with a lovely set of Moroccan mint tea and biscuits that rounded off the meal nicely. I cannot recommend this place enough! We'll definitely be back!

Its busy throughout the day so I recommend making a reservation beforehand. We had such a good time here. The food was amazing and well-seasoned. My favorite dishes would be the Lamb Tagine and Kebab with biryani rice :)

The place has a lot of history and the food the food is beyond amazing. I tried the falafel pita and that was so delicious and the best falafel I have ever had. Their banana pancakes with orange is something will blow your mind and you be enjoying every bite.

The menu seemed more like Lebanese, I couldn’t see anything unique to Morocco other than Tagine which wasn’t that tasty. I didn’t like couscous since it was like baby food. Hummus & Falafel were delicious but I wouldn’t say it’s Moroccan. The ambiance was stylish and the service was diligent.

My first time having Moroccan fair. It's was very good. I like the humus and pickled cabbage and the mint yogurt. The flavors were well balanced and the prices were fair. It was very busy but the service was attentive.

This place was delightful. The lamb was perfectly cooked practically falling off the shank. The flavor combinations in the sauce exquisite! The atmosphere was beautifully decorated and inviting. It was Iike being on a journey. They have unique cocktails that awaken your taste buds and intrigue the mouth.

Food is somewhat ok, however if you want to make a slight modification to your choice of dish; they're not flexible. I asked for the eggs to be scrambled instead of boiled, waitress said that's NOT possible. And another time I came for dinner and asked for another slight modification, they said the same thing. They also took an 1.5hours to bring out the dinner; by the time dinner arrived at the table it was ice cold! Never going back there again!

The is the place for unreal mediterranean. It's rare to have a remarkable hummus, but they certainly delivered. Then the chicken tangine sounded ordinary, however, it was anything but (get the spicy green sauce!). I highly recommend paying Cafe Mogador a visit, excellently priced too considering the area.

  • 5/5 YG C. 2 years ago on Google

THE BEST PLACE EVER. Me and my family have been coming to eat here since I was a kid and it has such a special place in my heart. Their food is incredible, the workers are so nice and coming to eat here for any meal always makes my day.

  • 5/5 Ellen L. 2 years ago on Google
Didn’t realize when we decided on dinner here that we had been to their other location a couple years ago. Both meals were excellent. Service was attentive and staff worked as a team. The chicken in the tagine was fork tender and flavorful. We enjoyed the cauliflower and farro special. The standout though was the eggplant and tahini with warm pita. I may need my own order on our next visit. 😝

If Mediterranean is your craving you won’t go wrong with Cafe Mogador. With authentic Moroccan delights your appetite will thank you! The Casa Beer, the original lager from Morocco is smooth and light. A perfect pair with the chicken kebab! The couscous with the lamb shank is also tasty! Enjoy

I had the Norwegian Eggs Benedict and the Turkish coffee. Both were very delicious. It took less than a minute to find a table on a Sunday at 12pm which was great. I was worried I would have to wait a while since brunch time is always so busy in this area. The eggs with smoked salmon were amazing and I'm usually not a fan of benedict but I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. The Turkish coffee was quite interesting and had a hint of cardamom and made me feel like I definitely was trying an Arabian style coffee. The waitress I had was a bit pushy and rushing us but overall had a great experience. Highly recommend for brunch!

  • 5/5 Danielle F. 2 years ago on Google
Since I was food touring I did not have an actual meal. I got a series of appetizers that were all delicious. I've never had labne before. It was a super creamy, delicious suprise paired with their made in-house pita. We also have the marinated beets and falafel, both really good. The falafel had great texture and flavor. And, most importantly, they also had great cocktails.

  • 5/5 Ethan S. 1 year ago on Google
Even though there's no reservations the walk in wait was very reasonable for a Sunday brunch. The food is seasoned so well and the portions are large. The wait staff has genuinely good recs and the atmosphere is really cozy. Overall fantastic brunch spot.

Cafe Mogador in Williamsburg is a true delight, offering a charming indoor and outdoor dining experience. Though the menu may be limited, it's packed with tasty small plates that are sure to please. It's an ideal spot for a cozy meal with friends or a romantic date night.

Friendly staff, good food, clean place. The only negative was loud music that it was hard to have a conversation with my friends. :D We went for brunch on a Sunday. I really enjoyed the eggs in tomato sauce with pita bread. Thats just like Shakshuka.

Best lamb shank you can ever have ! Was annoyingly well cooked. Wanted to give 5, but Turkish coffee while tasted good, was a bit powdery so that's that.

  • 5/5 Jan Ezer D. 10 months ago on Google
The Bastilla dish took the trophy for this restaurant! Uniquely seasoned chicken wrapped in phyllo dough. The cinnamon and cardamom taste worked so well! We really enjoyed that dish, and we may come back just to try that again. All the other food was great, but not as stellar as the bastilla.

  • 4/5 Maria A. 11 months ago on Google
Really good place to have breakfast or brunch. Delicious flavors. You can tell the chef took the time to work on your order. Great homemade style pita bread. Eggs were perfect. The only thing that I don't like is that as soon as you finish eating, waiters try to kick you out asap....

  • 5/5 Ekin A. 8 months ago on Google
The atmosphere is truly amazing! There are traditional dishes special to Morocco, but I can say that the same time, menu is so close to middle east cuisine... The hummus plate was delicious... traditional tagine, I chose chicken and green spicy sauce( parsley, cilantro, and garlic). I would definitely like you to go and try it, only the couscous was like very small pieces, it was not at all good for my taste, but a valid note to total!

  • 5/5 Shany D. 7 months ago on Google
