I know this is a “touristy” area and we’re locals but hey we were hungry and the menu was inviting…. Best decision ever!!! We had the kale salad and obligatory fried calamari. The calamari was fresh and fried to perfection. The salad kale salad was amazing. We had the mushroom truffle pizza and the pizza Margherita. And to end the cappuccino. Our hostess was very helpful and friendly. Amazing experience and definitely highly recommended.

Food was very tasty, the restaurant (including washrooms) was clean and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend. Their truffle pizza is my favourite pizza in NYC. Make sure to order the Brussel sprouts! The kale salad was also great, but only order if you enjoy spicy food. We will be back.

Food: 5 Staff: 5 Environment: 5 Both indoor and outdoor seating are great experiences depending on the season, but you can’t miss the food! Love their pizzas and their appetizers were also quite delicious! Staff was helpful and friendly and we had our food served quickly for weekday dinner.

Love this place. Its high ceiling and open dinning room is comfortable and relaxing. Typically, a tourist spot but we enjoy the food.

NOT the typical Little Italy "tourist trap " This is a really good restaurant. We stopped for a soup, salad and coffee. The soup was spectacular. The salad was a GRILLED wedge with just the right amount of blue cheese and bacon. The coffee was also a wonderful surprise, it came with a nice foam on the top. The food being served around us looked special and great. We can't wait to go back for dinner! Only small complaint, the seating is uncomfortable but looks cute. Tables for two are old pedal sewing machines. We couldn't put our legs under the table.

The food here is very tasty. The environment it’s relaxing and the staff it’s so nice. Their cannoli it’s so cute and it’s very delicious. It’s not that sweet but neither too plain, it’s perfectly balanced. I wish I could’ve ordered the whole menu as they have many great foods to try.

We got there on Saturday night and it was mad busy. We didn’t have a reservation so we decided to eat outside as they didn’t have space inside. They have heaters outside, but it was still cold. Our bruschetta was brought to us after we had our entrees because they forgot about it. They tried compensating with complementary tiramisu, but we would rather get a reduced check as an apology as we got a dessert to share ourselves. The food was good, but nothing special. Pasta was kind of plain. Pizza was good. As for me, just a little overpriced.

This was the nicest restaurant I encountered in New York. It is a beautiful space with a beautiful patio. The food was delicious and you MUST try the Tiramisu that is homemade. Staff are all very friendly and happy to serve you, customer service here is top notch. Prices are definitely reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area. I know this neighborhood is full of Italian places, but this one should be #1 on your list. The pizza is also tasty, you can tell they put love & effort into their dishes.

We visited little Italy during the food festival and decided to eat here! Man o man! Food was great, they serve you ice cold water, it hit the spot on a warm day. The food was great, we got the pistachio pesto, chicken Parmesan, and spaghetti and meatballs. All were amazing! The staff was awesome, they were on top of everything, didn’t have to ask for anything. Must try!

Loved this place! Perfect spot for Italian in Little Italy. I saw the pistachio pesto pasta on the menu online and knew I had to have it—and it was amazing! The server was super nice as well, along with the server who was super quick to refill our water whenever we were getting low. I was really impressed with the service, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, and the delicious food. We will definitely be back.

Came back after a few years and it's as great as I remember. Veggies and pasta are unforgettable. Bathrooms are nice! and that's rare in nyc.

After walking along past many restaurants we found ourselves here. We sat inside because the street was busy which was definitely a good choice. I had a vegetarian spaghetti dish which was delicious and my husband had the shrimp pizza. He was surprised to find green olives on it and said they tasted really good. We ate everything and left feeling full and happy. Prices were good and the staff were great. All in all, a successful night out. One more thing we liked was we weren’t pestered by pushy staff trying to get us into their restaurant.

Came here on a Monday night, pretty busy ( I would recommend a reservation) Me and my friend shared a Burrata salad which was fresh and well seasoned and a truffle pizza (25$). She got one drink and we ended up paying 30 each. The pizza was good but it s missing some more flavor and volume ( crust and toppings). The truffle was very light. The service was nice and quick!

Pretty cool place in Little Italy, We had time to kill before we left for our flight back so we decided to stop here have a couple drinks after our tour. We ended up getting a pizza to share which was the margarita on a gluten-free crust and man oh man was it good and then we had a couple drinks as well a couple sweet and spicies and I had another one that I can't remember exactly the name of it but it had a black tea. The atmosphere was awesome the drinks were great and the pizza was even better than I expected. Check this place out if you get a chance

Good food, nice ambiance, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was a bit on the slow side but not too long wait times. The selection is a bit narrow so please check the menu before heading over to make sure there is something for you.

A very well designed and arranged interior - the owners clearly invested into interior architect's skills. Food and drinks expensive - like everywhere in NY's Little Italy. Service makes a difference though and Emily was one of the best waitresses we ever had (thank you, grazie). We did have a very good lunch and the venue looks a very popular place.

Pasta is freshly made and creamy. Love it. Fried calamari will be better with longer preparation time. Bone mallow spread with toast is really good. Brussels sprouts is also a plus. Dessert is a little bit disappointed.

It may not be authentic Italian food but it’s good enough & the drinks are awesome. They have outdoor space and good prices. You should try this place asap

I really appreciated actually finding a pasta/pizza restaurant that met my expectations. Unfortunately, many places I’ve visited in Manhattan will have high reviews but the food is subpar. This place was different. The pizza was really delicious and if it had been served hotter, it may have been some of the best I’ve had in NYC, but it wasn’t that hot..The Cacio E Pepe pasta was also appetizing. It was cheesy and included pretty tasty flavors. The cocktail was a 9/10. I ordered the sweet & spicy cocktail and it hit the spot. I would also like to mention that for a Monday during lunch time it was not busy at all. We had a party of two and were seated immediately. Food came out very quick and service was quick/attentive.

I had an exceptional dining experience at Gelso & Grand in Little Italy. The service was consistently excellent, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The delicious Italian dishes surpassed my expectations. A gem for anyone craving authentic flavors in a delightful setting!”

A must-visit for Italian food lovers. The room is large, warm, spacious and I could actually hear my partner speaking. All of the food was delivered quickly. Not a pizza place or spot for a quick meal.

I LOVED the Kale Chicken Cesar salad here - I highly recommend it! Perfect amount of dressing and the chicken was garnished perfectly. This is a great spot to enjoy a casual dinner with great music and a club downstairs which can be booked for private parties.

I had an amazing brunch at Gelso and Grand, the food is delicious and the staff was great. It’s definitely the perfect venue for an afternoon out with friends or a date. Also, the restaurant is located in the heart of little Italy near other Italian restaurants and bars, so be sure to check out some of the other local businesses as well. We ordered the sausage pasta, margarita pizza and a pitcher of sangria. I really enjoyed the pasta, it was fresh and tasty. The tomato sauce was just right and the ground veal complimented the dish. The margarita pizza was good as well but not amazing!! It’s definitely worth ordering the pitcher of sangria since it’s not served with ice (which means boozy brunch). If you’re in Little Italy, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Tasty lunch in a beautiful space. It was peaceful and quiet here on a weekday at midday, though I imagine brunch gets busy! Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal, and service was prompt and professional. The space is large and airy and has a lot of very pleasant outdoor options along Mulberry Street.

Beautiful, homey Italian atmosphere. But don't come with a huge appetite - small portions for a high price.

Bravo!!!! During a busy lunch time, when other restaurants were either permanently closed or not open for lunch, this great restaurant was able to seat us outdoors at a corner table and it was fantastic! Great service. Wonderful food, great drinks (and very nice pour for my wine!) I got a great chicken sandwich with mozzarella and sauce on beautiful bread. Highly recommend. It also comes with a side of salad greens that were fresh and tasty. Everybody said their meals were great.

Someone had a great idea to add figs with honey and hot pepper 🌶️ into four cheese pizza! Genius! The best ever! Highly recommend.

We stumbled on this gem in Little Italy at exactly the right moment. It couldn’t have been better. The homemade pasta was so fresh and delicious, the pizza was to die for, and the meatballs would have made nonna blush. So so good! And if that wasn’t enough, the hip, chill vibe and outstanding service made our experience perfect!

Such a cute restaurant with ample outdoor space and a huge basement venue! The pasta and pizza were fantastic! I wish I had room for dessert but Chinatown took that stomach space!

Good pizza, excellent supertuscan red wine. Quick and efficient service. Cosy and warm atmosphere. It is if course OK but it does not justify in full the high rating this place gets… Nothing against this place of course but a 5 ⭐️ rating for food requires a distinguishing feature that I have personally not detected 🥹
