This is one of my favorite spots in little Italy. Today tried this dish for the first time. It's a piece of chicken breast stuffed with spinach and prosciutto served with pasta in red sauce - I liked the new taste. More than that, the atmosphere here is fantastic. Staff are so friendly and welcoming!

This location is great! Right next to the little Italy sign. The host didn’t not acknowledge us at all for quite some time however the waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious but not the best I’ve had which was kind of a let down since it’s in THE little Italy and we have better spots in Texas. Even though I wouldn’t say it’s the best food I’ve had, it was still very delicious and we are happy we ate here. Would come back just to try different menu items

Absolutely delighted we came across this place. The food was delicious, wine was beautiful and the service was excellent. We did not have a reservation but Carlos seated us right away and was very helpful all evening. Would not hesitate to recommend for anyone in the area for a wholesome tasty meal

Everything about Da Gennaro was absolutely perfect. The staff, the environment, and the food were all amazing. Carlos and the rest of the team did a phenomenal job catering to our every wish. By far the best Italian restaurant in all of Little Italy.

The food is amazing! It's a must have when I come to NYC. Everyone seems like family , the staff is so attentive. I love the happy atmosphere here. I'm sure they will be busy non stop in the summer. We are having the most amazing winter/spring dinner. Aloha!

Stopped in for an early dinner and they didn't disappoint. From the hostess outside talking the restaurant up, to our waiter, to the servers who ran plates/drinks, very attentive. Food was priced competitively but the portions were more than filling. I went for seafood which I knew was good, since it was too much for my wife. Everyone left happy and full.

I recently dined at Da Gennaro and was impressed by the inviting atmosphere and attentive service. The cozy ambiance added a delightful touch to the dining experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall enjoyment. However, I found the pasta a bit too salty for my taste, and the pumpkin soup, while flavorful, had an overwhelming hint of cinnamon. Despite these minor drawbacks, the positive aspects of the restaurant make it a worthwhile choice for those seeking a pleasant Italian dining experience ✨ Loved the Christmas decorations, it was so beautiful!

This place is super cute there are red booths brick walls floral going across the ceiling the ambiance was very charming. We stayed simple and got the penne Al vodka and margarita pizza. A classic choice and we were happy about it. The garlic bread and complimentary bread before the meal was good as well. Carlos was our server, he was very friendly the whole time. We asked for a picture and he gave us a photo shoot. Very accommodating staff. If you are looking for a lovely little Italy for your quick New York vacation or night out with friends stop in. Great experience with a good atmosphere and very was a live vocalist singing in front for a majority of the meal.

I ate here last year during the feast of San Gennaro and absolutely loved it! Here I am almost a year later having the same exact thing and it was just as great! I got out of a Broadway show at 1030pm and google showed most placed closed. I got here at 1050pm and they were open! Food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable! Karl took care of me and made sure I was happy! Will always come back!!

This is hands down the absolute best Italian food I’ve ever had. The sauces are authentic and everything was fresh. It was so good we came a second day in our 3 day trip to NY. This place is completely underrated. If your able to sit outside do it! We had the chicken parm and lasagna the first day and chicken parm, salmon with pasta and a separate pasta the second day.

High quality food, small portions. I definitely left hungry although the food I did have was very delicious! If I would have added a meat for extra money it might have been more filling.

Unmemorable yet worthwhile. It's difficult to find a distinct description for this place other than "does not excite, does not offend." It falls into the category of establishments where you have a pleasant time, enjoy decent food, but won't find yourself remembering its name weeks later. That being said, it doesn't mean it's not worth a visit. We stumbled upon this place for a Friday dinner with a couple of friends and opted to sit outside on the curb. If the weather is good and you appreciate being part of the bustling street life, I would recommend doing the same. Initially, I had intended to have wine, but I was discouraged by the lack of description of the available options. Simply listing the names of various varieties without any additional information raised a red flag for me. Instead, I decided to try a cocktail, and I must say, the Frozen Italian Margarita with tequila, amaretto, and limoncello was an absolute delight. It was one of the best frozen drinks I've had this year. As for the food, it was decent. The thin pizzas were tasty, generously topped, but lacked seasoning with salt and pepper. The same can be said for the bruschetta—they became quite flavorful once I added some salt and pepper. On the downside, the bread provided was stale, not exactly a great introduction to further meal courses. The service was okay - neither distant nor overly friendly, simply doing their jobs. You get decent food for decent money - that's the deal, plus you get to enjoy a lively neighborhood on the side. Visited in June. Paid by card.

Absolutely delicious, reminded me of when I lived in Italy. Great pasta cooked just right full of flavor. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and the sauce was too die for! The Bruschetta was fresh and not too vinegary. All around good meal. Husband had the eggplant Parmesan and that’s what brings the experience down to a 4 star. The spaghetti itself lacked flavor. Not at all the star of the show. Restaurant was cozy lots of tables but they offer indoor and outdoor seating.

It's a restaurant with a bold history but can be described as a touristic place around Little Italy. The interior decoration is old but elegant and you can also dine outside of the place on Mulberry Street. Service was pretty friendly and helped us a lot. Pasta is homemade and prime with fresh ingredients. The only downside of the restaurant is that the tables inside are so close to each other and pretty crowded to walk through.

Went to Little Italy in NYC and found this spectacular family restaurant for lunch. The staff was very hospitable and the food was excellent. Highly recommend. If you have a chance to visit, it is well worth the visit. Enjoy!!

First time dining here. Was extra special during the San Gennaro Feast. Hosts and servers were friendly. White Sangria was delicious. My friend loves their Lasagna. I enjoyed my Spaghetti with Shrimp & Meatballs. However, I felt the meatballs and fresh spinach needed a lil more seasoning. Overall a great time and we dined outside.

Great atmosphere and great staff! They made some great suggestions for the foods! So many places to eat around here but I think I picked a good one!

Came here about 9 years ago and revisited this NY trip. Had such an amazing experience here, absolutely incredible food - we had the lobster ravioli, cheese ravioli & the bomba and crème brûlée for dessert. Service was 10/10 thanks to our server Carlos. Will definitely be visiting next trip, best in Little Italy!!

Great spot for Sunday evening dinner. Cozy and romantic atmosphere with candles on each table and plenty of windows. Food was amazing. The spaghetti di gamberi had a delicate but flavorful sauce. Enjoyed the big shrimp and al dente noodles. The rigatoni gennaro was packed full of flavor with peas, prosciutto, and mushrooms in a creamy tomato sauce. Service was a bit slow but this was a great late night option on a Sunday night when not many other restaurants were open.

Excellent food and service, especially, by Farouq.(excellent host) & Victor (head waiter). Al fresco dining with great ambience. Grilled fillet of branzino was exceptional…crispy skin and delicious, juicy meat. Pasta dishes were al dente with delicious sauce. The grilled octopus appetizer was very tender & tasty. Great music, sound system.

Came upon this restaurant when visiting the San Gennaro Festival. Kids were starving and tired and needed to sit! The service was quick and the staff were lovely and friendly. Even tho it was 2230, the atmosphere was lovely, music playing, locals still out eating and drinking, we got an outside table and watched the world go by while eating! The food... absolutely beautiful, giving us the feels of Italy. garlic bread for starters Lasagne Cheese Ravioli Spaghetti carbonara All beautifully made and tasted amazing! Would definitely recommend.

An hour wait for our food during Little Italy festival. Pizza is pretty good but only four slices , the size of a personal pie. A small plate of pasta, very good sauce. Overall it’s pricey for what you get.

Good food served well at NYC prices. Regarding the atmosphere: it is the Little Italy atmosphere, I cannot say if it is close to Italian atmosphere. Sadly we noticed too late that the lasagna was partly cold. The cocktails are pricy but (Ginger Mule in our case) good. Price-performance ratio: 3/5

Nice place. Food is decent. Not bad, but not the best. The grilled chicken was near perfection though. It was juicy and had a nice little char out the outside without tasting burnt. The free bread they give out wasn't worth touching. No one in our group ate it. It was stale, quite hard and dry. They serve it with olive oil, but dang, you have to douse the bread in the oil to give it some moisture. The service was okay. The waiter never did anything bad or do anything wrong. But he wasn't very welcoming. Every response of his was crass and short. If we had a question on a dish, we couldn't even finish our questions when he started answering.

Brought my Italian friend with me and he said it was filling, but it doesn’t remind of him home. Doesn’t defeat the purpose to come here, as there are dishes are solid with generous portions. Vibe is touristy but locals do come here. It’s hard to get fresh seafood in the city as it’s source from local areas, not from other plentiful areas. I had the seafood risotto that was rich with flavor and seafood was plentiful.

My love for Da Gennaro cannot be explained!! It’s my sister and I’s favorite spot. Our sisters day always end here. The staff is amazing, the food is to die for and the drinks never fails. Cannot wait to visit again.
