Gee’s
is
not
the
same
anymore,
sadly.
Got
here
for
the
first
time
after
pandemic,
and
was
very
disappointed
by
how
much
has
service
changed.
There
are
waiters
and
staff
on
premises,
but
they
still
have
you
ordering
through
the
app
—
I
used
to
come
here
to
spend
time
with
friends
and
chat
and
just
soak
in
this
Greenpoint
community
atmosphere,
while
now
you
sit
for
half
an
hour
trying
to
figure
out
their
very
not
user-friendly
app
to
place
an
order
and
studying
the
menu,
and
after
order
has
been
placed,
they
would
add
a
20%
tip
to
your
check
for
you.
Ahem,
excuse
me?
For
my
own
work
placing
an
order
and
studying
the
menu?
7%
tops
for
not
making
me
go
get
my
own
pizza
from
the
oven.
On
top
of
that,
you
have
to
place
add-ons
such
as
chili
oil
or
butter
to
your
check
that
also
are
additional
charge
now
(but
before
ordering
it,
go
figure
first,
where
is
the
add-ons
section
on
the
menu
=
stare
at
your
screen
even
more,
instead
of
spending
time
with
the
group
you
came
with).
This
new
system
would
be
understandable
(maybe)
if
the
restaurant
would
be
implying
safe
covid
measures
—
less
staff,
staff
is
masked
etc,
but
no
—
visually
place
is
busy
as
before
with
staff
just
hanging
out
seemingly
hoping
customers
won’t
notice
a
20%
automated
tip
added
for
their
laziness.
With
this
all
being
said:
overhyped,
overpriced
:/
