What
I
recommend
for
breakfast:
Eggs
benedict
+
coffee
Lunch;
Turkey
avocado
wrap.
Always
try
seasonal
specials
here.
I
am
a
local
so
below
is
based
on
at
least
5
meals
per
month
and
attempt
to
eliminate
bias.
As
you
have
read,
this
is
all
meatless
food.
The
diner
is
run
on
an
ideology
of
peace
and
tranquility
and
you
feel
that
immediately
and
throughout—you
tend
to
feel
relaxed
and
satisfied
.
The
atmosphere
is
light
and
friendly.
Tall
booths
mean
intimate
enclosures
for
friends
and
family
to
chat
easily.
It
is
well
decorated
and
clean,
though
there
are
some
utilities
visible
under
the
counter
from
a
few
seats
that
can
be
unattractive.
This
is
a
calm
environment
and
conversations
are
easy
to
have,
and,
chatting
it
up
with
staff
is
welcomed
and
enjoyable.
This
is
a
very
casual
diner
setting,
so
if
you
are
looking
for
cloth-napkin
treatment,
adjust
your
expectations.
Clientele
is
a
real
mix
of
working
class,
spiritual,
Boho
Hippie,
and
college
kids,
and
especially
locals
of
all
backgrounds.
If
you're
looking
for
a
sample
of
the
diversity
of
NYC,
add
this
to
your
list.
Weekends
are
busy,
so
get
here
at
opening
or
be
prepared
to
wait
10
to
15
minutes
(but
no
more
than
15
mins
usually)
The
quality
of
the
food
is
consistently
above
average.
Adventurous
eaters
will
enjoy
most
options
and
may
be
impressed
with
how
easily
you
forget
you're
at
a
vegetarian
restaurant.
Menu
Options
can
be
easily
adjusted
for
picky
eaters
and
kids.
It
may
require
several
visits
to
enjoy
the
variety
of
the
menu,
for
example,
at
breakfast
you
may
not
order
one
of
their
fantastic
blended
drinks
or
pancakes
if
you
go
for
standard
savory
items,
but
you
really
deserve
to
try
these
items
at
least
once.
Coffee
here
is
not
typical
diner
coffee—it's
tasty
and
refreshing
but
it
will
kick
your
butt
so
be
prepared
for
caffeine-induced
x-ray
vision.
Service
is
very
fast,
about
10
-15
mins
on
average,
even
when
they're
busy.
They
accept
cash,
credit,
debit.
Family
of
4
can
leave
satisfied
around
the
$40
mark
but
expect
$55
-
$60
for
4
adults.
Located
on
a
busy
Parsons
Blvd
hill,
can
be
a
challenge
for
some
drivers.
Neighborhood
looks
and
feels
safe
if
not
a
little
gritty.
Parking
is
limited
along
Parsons,
I
suggest
parking
along
Normal
Rd.
for
added
peace
of
mind.
There
are
a
few
shops
within
the
blue
strip
of
buildings
shared
with
this
diner
which
can
be
fun
post-meal
exploration.
In
all
you
spend
30
-
45
mins
here
with
usual
service,
add
another
hour
for
hanging
out
and
checking
out
the
area.
