Casual Indian dining. Very small Little place and very quaint. Food was delicious too. This is a great option for Indian food if you are in the area. Check this place out! Around the corner from Hudson Yards across the street for B&H videos.

A great little place in Midtown for Indian food. We tried the Dal Makhani with Butter Naan and they were both delicious! The cauliflower appetizer was good too. The space is a bit too small and the prices were just a tad higher albeit both are expected for a restaurant in Midtown. Definitely worth checking out.

Great and delicious food! The place is so small that it isn’t comfortable for two people to eat comfortably without disturbing the nearby table. They could organize the place a bit better for people to sit comfortably and eat. The dishes were a bit expensive compared to other similar restaurants near by but tasted good. The service was good but not great! They couldn’t hear to our orders and were in a hurry to get them. Overall a good place to eat and service could be better. Will give an another try!

My partner and I went to a place for dinner. The server was really nice and welcoming. They have outdoor and inside seating. We ordered biryani which was delicious. The quality and quantity was good per person ( I would say more ). I really wanted to try out the Curries but didn't get a chance but I bet those were delicious too. Overall a great place to try out the Indian dishes, highly recommended!!

This place got the best Indian food, 💯 Vibe.. they have a new one too. I have been going here since they started in 2016 ..they are very good for both dine in and take out.. it’s a very very popular spot so there is a wait time for sure but FOOD is awesome and worth the wait.. I love the veggie chettinad, biryani and Dal. You can customize the spice level. The butter naan Melts in your mouth.. for all those saying it’s cramped .. it’s Manhattan!!!

Patiala Indian Grill is a good Indian restaurant in the heart of Midtown. We had dinner here and everything we ordered was delicious. Definitely recommend this place. Service was amazing and Pranitha, thank you so much for your hospitality and service. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely Indian food with quick service! Very close to what it tastes like back home. They had old bollywood songs playing in the background which added a nice touch to the place! The owner was a delight to speak to as well :)

Patiala in New York is a cozy and inviting Indian restaurant that serves up traditional and vegan dishes in a contemporary setting. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Patiala, and I was particularly impressed by the garlic naan and Sarson ki sabji. The garlic naan was perfectly cooked, with a fluffy interior and a crispy exterior. The garlic flavor was subtle but present, and it perfectly complemented the other dishes on the table. The Sarson ki sabji, a mustard greens curry, was also delicious. The mustard greens were tender and flavorful, and the curry was rich and creamy. I highly recommend both of these dishes to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian meal. In addition to the food, I was also impressed by the service at Patiala. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere, with a modern décor that is both stylish and comfortable. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Patiala. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian meal.

Food quality is awful. Its full of un necessary sweet sauces and are not authentic. There was lot of color added in the food too. Only positive point is the location of the restaurant and food presentation. Apart from that, based on food quality- I won’t recommend it.

Finally I've found it. Truly the best indian food NYC. I've been to accent, tamarind and a few others in NYC. The nan and butter chicken have a different unique taste which is my new standard to compare against. The chicken 65, and lamb kabobs were so flavorful and easily the best I've had. Then mushroom kabobs blew mind with unique texture and flavor. Best shrimp curry I've had outside of my family's recipes especially since the shrimp was fresh and tender. Mango lassi was perfect. Service was impeccable. The place is kind of small but if your focused on taste then that's what really matters. I appreciate you guys.

Great taste and service. The place is very small but the food and hospitality is great. I could have given 5 stars in my review but later I found that compared to another Indian restaurant (in a short 15 minutes walk) Patiala was small in size and slightly more costly than others. Having said that, the food and hospitality was awesome.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, the restaurant and the staff were amazing. Our waitress was very helpful in choosing our dishes and giving us recommendations when we had trouble deciding, the food was out of this world (the Gobhi 65 and broccoli/cheddar naan was divine) and the whole atmosphere with the lighting, decor and presentation was beautiful and relaxing.

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of midtown Manhattan. While it is a tad small in size, the food is absolutely worth dining in for. I stopped by for dinner before a Devils-Rangers hockey game with a friend. We ordered a samosa appetizer, and then ordered two separate entrees. I ordered their chicken vindaloo, and my friend ordered their chicken curry. Meat was delicious and the dish was packed with flavor and the right amount of spice. Please keep in mind that rice and bread need to be ordered separately (whereas rice typically comes with a gravy entree at other Indian restaurants). Nonetheless, this was a great experience. Not only was the food excellent, the staff was also very friendly (service was quick too). I would urge you all to try this spot, and I would love to come back here again!

We ordered the chili chicken and samosa chaat appetizers, then chicken chettinad, chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani and garlic naans/parathas. Everything was delicious and our server Jobi made our experience even better! My only criticism (which has nothing to do with Jobi) is that we made our reservation online and they were seating walk-ins before us. They need a better process for keeping track of reservations and walk-ins. But all in all it was a great experience and we would definitely dine here again. Everyone’s favorite dishes were the chili chicken and the chicken chettinad!

Delicious food in a cozy and intimate setting. Great service. It’s very hard for me to find good Biryani, and so few restaurants actually make a proper one. Patiala does, and it was magnificent. I thought the nan covered pot was going to be gimmicky but it not only looked unique but also served a culinary end of sealing in the flavors as the Biryani cooks. The man itself was also delicious. Well done all round, will be coming back for sure!

Good food and service. Too small and atmosphere is not that great due to its small footprint. There is no wait area for customers, so they have to wait out. 45%-55% more expensive than other nearby eateries.

We had the lamb curry, chicken tiki masala and mataar paneer as our main dishes. They were all delicious. The paneer dish was my favorite! The lamb and chicken were very tender and juicy. We also got desserts and they were amazing. The carrot pudding was a new thing for me and I loved it

Good spot to have quick Indian meals near the vessel. The restaurant is very small in size but they do a good job in optimizing space. The food was very tasty and we were very pleased to have Flavorful lunch. We tried their papdi chaat, and paani puri in apps and okra and kadhi in main course. Their kadhi was the show stopper and it is not common to find that dish in many Indian joints here.

The waiter got the appetizer wrong and made us paid for what we didn't order without offering to replace the dish. None of the entree come with rice or naan, just the dish alone. Price isn't cheap and the portion is small. Food does taste pretty good thou.

Nice north indian restaurant in New York. A very cozy restaurant and is very busy and the service is good. We were seated in 15 min. The food came out quick. The pani puri and the Aloo tikki was good. So was the Panner tandoor and the chilli chicken. Portion size is also good for appetizer. For entree we had the chicken Chettinaid and the baigan bharta. The bharta was so spicy but couldn't taste the brinjal at all. The chicken was however good.

One of my favorites for Indian food in the city. No frills, but most of their dishes have authentic Indian taste and flavor. The spice mix for each dish is distinctive. Can do better with ambience and cutlery. Overall, a good experience and would recommend.
