Boucherie is a French restaurant with a beautiful interior that feels very warm and classic. While the service and atmosphere are 10/10, I did think the food was overpriced. Don’t get me wrong, the dishes are delicious, but you can definitely have brunch / French food for a slightly lower price range in the city. If ambiance is important to you, you will definitely enjoy coming here!

Amazing restaurant. The steak was some of the best in the city. The butter added a ton of flavor and the dessert was phenomenal. The service was very fast and extremely helpful as well. Definitely coming back here more often. The ambience end decor inside and outside are both pretty phenomenal as well and a lot of heating on the outside so you’ll be generally OK on a colder day

Yesterday around 1 pm, i was walking the Village, and became hungry. I saw this place. My gut was saying this could be good. I went inside this place was really beautiful, for NYC it is gigantic. I had a very nice waiter from Croatia. As an entree I ordered a salad, the crunchyness of the onion rings combined with the salad sauce was fantastic. The french pasta dish (I did not even know they had pasta) and its simple but very delish sauce was to die for. The price was 70 Dollars. Around lunch you need no reservation, dinner you definetly need a reservation.

This place is the perfect blend of cozy and fancy. The staff is great and the dining room has an awesome vibe. This location is a lot bigger than I expected. They have a ton of outdoor seating and an upstairs as well. We went with the Caesar salad, the scallops, and a burger. Had an espresso martini with the meal and it was fabulous. The bread that comes out first is dangerous… it’s so good and easy to eat too much before your meal. They had two steak specials the night we went and I’m a little upset I didn’t pull the trigger. Will be back.

Overrated. Overpriced. Listen, I like to brunch like anybody else and I came into this restaurant impressed. The style and atmosphere are beautiful, authentic. The staff was so courteous and kind.. but there’s a real problem with food quality and timing. We came as a group for a reservation, ordering drinks after we were greeted by our waiter. It took over an hour for our drinks, the cocktails being a slightly high $19 (nyc, expensive as it is the average cost is ~15) after 30 minutes, we asked our server about the wait. They were understaffed, with only one bartender.. another 30 minutes and it finally arrived. How on a Saturday during prime time brunch, there could be only one bartender is kind of crazy. If our server has been real with us and told us beforehand that our drinks might be awhile.. we would have ordered a beer or wine as to not overwhelm the sole bartender.. transparency is important IMO! Also, the food was good! But not out of the ordinary or memorable. I ordered the Beyond Meat Burger which was great. Everyone else seemed content with their dishes as well. I recommend coming here for the atmosphere and during off hours. Maybe during the week for a quick bite. ✌️

Because I saw that this restaurant has such a high review so my friends and I had a bit expectation of food and service. After I went to city hall for my friend civil married, we just wanted to celebrate. Food was good but timing and service are not impressive. At lunch and not busy at all, they took too long between appetizer and main course. Then one of my friend is pregnant and she told the waitress that she doesn't drink so we just gave her a small amount of champagne to be a prop for picture. The waitress kept coming to her and wanted to refill the champagne. Plus we didn't finish our bottle yet and the waitress asked if we wanted to open another bottle. This high score restaurant shouldn't make this kind of mistakes. For me, I could look over those things but for a couple that just got married, they left with disappointed.

LOVE Boucherie! This location is adorable and on a popular street in West Village. They also have a few good spots for larger groups/tables in the restaurant. I ALWAYS recommend the French Onion Soup and profiteroles. It's also a great option for lunch during the week to try their specials.

Went to this place for NYE 2023 and I think we got the B team server for our section. I hate servers who blatantly try to upsell us and this server was no different. Beautiful restaurant. The manager Katerina was helpful in making things right that night. Food could have been better. Peppercorn steak which is a staple of any French restaurant was under cooked and had to be taken back. The peppercorn sauce could be better as it’s not as creamy compared to other steakhouses. Maybe this is a French preparation ? Profiterole dessert was laden in sauce despite our request to have the sauce on the side. The inexperienced sever put down the desert and immediately poured sauce all over it without even asking. Was hoping for a better experience but I find that all NYC restaurants are hit and miss on NYE and Boucherie was no exception.

Service was good, tables tightly packed together but workable. We had the pre fixe restaurant week menu and it felt a bit overpriced. The asparagus and vegetables in puff pastry didn’t seem to have any asparagus, just peas and whole chunks of onion and carrot that wasn’t tender at all in a tasty sauce next to a piece of puff pastry. The steak was good, green beans were tasty. The desserts were pretty underwhelming. It was fine! A bit pricey for what we got. I would be curious to try the lunch instead.

I liked the beef tartare. The bread on the side was hard as a rock. 😅 We also got a medium rare skirt steak. The outside tasted like jerky, tough and dry, and we ended up cutting all of them off. The Paris Brest was good & liked the nutty flavor until you taste the citrus flavor. Maybe they were trying to be creative but it felt out of place.

This was my second visit & I could not be more impressed. The french onion soup along with the ceaser salad is absolutely devine. My waiter was adorable, he was training a new hire and together they were a great team. I definitely am looking forward to my next visit. Best french onion soup I have ever had.

It was an amazing experience at Boucherie. It was our French experience for the first time and our lovely waitress Gaby walked us through the whole experience. Food and drinks were delicious with a lip smacking dessert at the end. Escargots for starters, lamb and salmon for mains and ended with Paris Breast for dessert.

This is a very cozy French restaurant in the heart of West Village, the atmosphere was very elegant and lovely, they have pretty big outdoor space and bar area. The service here was amazing, our waitress Shania was super friendly and sweet, she took care of us really well. The food and drinks were fantastic here, everything we ordered, they were tasty and delicious. French Onion Soup and New York Strip Steak were amazing. They also have great desserts here, I love both we ordered. This will be a great spot to spend time with friends and family. Mother's Day is almost here, I think my mom will love here.

So this place is always busy. The vibe is really nice for a night out. They have an extensive wine and spirits menu. For the food, I think it could be better. It is cooked well, but the flavors are not as good as they could be. We ordered the escargots, the French onion soup, and the steak frites au poivre. The steak was cooked just as we ordered (medium rare). But the escargot, French onion soup and the fries were all missing a touch of salt which would have made those dishes outstanding. The presentation of the food was nice and the servers are always communicating and on point about bringing out the food in the order you ask for and making sure to be there just as your drink is finished to ask if you'd like more.

Best restaurant we could’ve ever chosen for a romantic and delicious evening- specially on Thanksgiving! The ambiance woos you away as soon as you walk in with all the holiday decor. I definitely experienced more than I expected, their turkey and Australian rib eye steak dishes were cooked to perfection; we didn’t miss our traditional home cooked holiday meal! This whole evening couldn’t have came together as perfectly as it did without the help of such a great team of staff, reservations all flowed at ease- while constantly busy, and food was served fast yet exquisite!! Rebecca really stood out to me, she was clearly the manager at a glance; very focused on every clients satisfaction- myself being one of them!! She was very personable and and endearing, the rare kind of manager that is worth more than an average business can imagine, and worth being stolen for a much bigger business endeavor!!! Management is the main key for a successful establishment; come here for an example! Will be back many, many, many, more times!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top steak restaurant on my list now.🙌🙏

Did I love the food? Absolutely! But man, was the service good? HELL NO! The waitress basically ignored us the entire time! Orders took forever to arrive. Took them 30 minutes to realize that we were done with appetizers and ready for entrees. No water refills the entire time until the waitress wanted us to pay the bill. And somehow I noticed that she has been chatting with all the white patrons while paying no attention to us, NOT COOL! She deserved no tip.

Went there for my partner’s birthday. I had made a reservation with them and informed them beforehand that it was a special occasion and I hope we have a great time. And to my amazement, from the time we got there, they took care of us so well! Had us seated in an elevated area and served us so nicely. Towards the end when we ordered a dessert, they even put a edible birthday stick on the top of it and it was so delicious! After we finished our meals and were about to leave, their professional staff gave us a Boucherie post card and a chef’s special meal ideas book from their kitchen. It was a surreal experience and this is what it means by delivering top notch service standards

Awesome restaurant. Superb steaks, great drink options, on the ball service. It’s pricey alright, but you certainly get what you pay for

This is one of the most elegantly designed restaurants I've been to in NYC. The minute you walk in, you feel like you're in Paris. The drinks are one of a kind. If you're a fan of gin, I highly recommend the Le Printemps- super rich with flavor and pretty strong too. Every appetizer that I had was very unique and intricately curated. The goat cheese tart was my personal favorite. It would nice if they added some more vegetarian and chicken options to the menu.

Really good food and excellent venue. Very lively on a Friday night but service was still prompt and attentive. Escargot was fantastic as was the standard roast chicken on the menu. We also got a steak and marrow share plate special which was fantastic. Mashed potatoes and fries were great as well. Definitely recommend.

One of my favorite places for brunch! The food, cocktails, desserts and service are always amazing! I highly recommend their Boucherie burger or steak frites! And save room for dessert- either the crème brûlée or profiteroles or both. I’ve been to all their locations and I always have a nice experience every visit.

Ambient is great, food is a little salty, service is horrible. We waited 10mins for our waiter and another 2mins for our food to arrive - according to them, there was a changing shift and they got everything mess up. Our waiter and waitress didn’t come back to check on us not refill water but to collect our empty plate when we were done eating.

EVERYTHING was amazing! The cocktails were strong, the appetizer was a hefty amount that we shared, and our meals were bomb. Would definitely return when I'm the village.

I had an outstanding experience at Boucherie - West Village! The ambiance of the place is cozy comparing to their other locations, creating the perfect setting for a delightful brunch experience. The hostess was not only welcoming but also extremely attentive, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort while I waited for my party to arrive. The staff was friendly, efficient, and demonstrated a genuine commitment to providing an exceptional brunch experience. The attention to detail truly stood out. The food was great as expected.

I love that they have a happy hour from 11-7! Solid drink and snack options. The aperol spritz was great, unfortunately the vodka martini was not. The sliders were thick- good for the price! The pigs in a blanket were decent. The best part about this place is the Christmas ambience. It’s beautiful and worth coming here just for the floor to ceiling Christmas tree!

I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday and to eat steak! We had the onion soup, escargot, 18 Oz dry aged bone in NY strip, and the Australian grass fed rib eye. Their steaks were some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter Akin was very attentative and made our meal extremely enjoyable. We will be coming back again!

I came here unexpectedly and to be honest I was not disappointed at all! From the very beginning, our waiter Bojan was extremely helpful with recommendations on the menu as well as attentiveness. I was a bit unsure about some of the items on the menu being that French cuisine isn’t my forte, however he guided me along the way and was so pleasant and nice. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly to the temperature I asked for and even though I asked for chipotle mayonnaise which was unavailable, our waiter Bojan quickly suggested Tabasco and mayo combined which worked out perfectly fine! Everything tasted delicious, was quick and the ambience was relaxing. I’d highly recommend for a date night or even a gal’s night out!

We came one afternoon. Was super busy. Tables are very close together. Kind of loses its charm. Service was lovely. Food was just good. Escargot was nothing special. My boyfriend loved his duck. My mussels were good but was missing something. Dessert was just okay too. Had the strawberry something and the cake was super dense. I probably wouldn’t return because it is very expensive and just not worth it in my opinion. But, I’m glad I tried it. The location is beautiful though.

I loved the atmosphere at this place. The wide open indoors with French tiling on the walls and rustic wood ceiling is very authentic. It blends with the outdoor through the open window front and the patio seating. Service was excellent, with my glass never even getting half-empty and a very friendly easier tolerating our indecisiveness without a blink. Great aromatic coffee, good non-alcoholic drink options available. In terms of food, we especially liked the Croque Madame and the Scandinavian eggs. Also worth mentioning that they were very rigorous with proof of vaccination so make sure to bring your vaccination card / pass AND corresponding ID card.

Great atmosphere and the food is amazing. We had the Croce Madame, the avocado toast and the omelet, which were all great. For dessert we split the French toast which was made to perfection. This place is a bit on the pricey side, but it's also high quality. Recommended!

Pretty good meat and great service for this French brasserie. The entrecôte was tasty and medium rare done accurately. Minor one - I was surprised that even though there is a « prix fixe » lunch menu on their website, it’s not offered unless you ask. This is the best value and easy to miss !

We had Justin to thank for the full culinary experience, which included a visit from the chef. Justin introduced us to the moules, escargot, the endive salad & 2 vol au vent for Hors D'oeuvre. The moules have lots of sauce leftover, which we tried to mop it up with the bread. We liked the vol au vent the best as it appealed to a wider palate. This version didn't have the sweet bread, which I expected as indicated on the website. They probably changed the ingredients a bit. What was used was closer to the Belgium version. For the main course, we we ordered the 3 main meats: porterhouse, filet mignon & chateaubriand. I like the porterhouse the best, next is the chateaubriand. The filet mignon was a tad too rare for my taste. This dish came with 4 sauces, which complemented the meat nicely. The chef who came out to greet us recommended the desserts. He said the pastry chef learned his craft from France. I figured let's give this a try. We ordered a Mont Blanc & Boucherie creme brulee to share amongst the 5 of us. We barely touched 1/2 the meat, 2 desserts are all we could handle. The Mont Blanc is the better choice. Both are not too sweet, which is how we like them. My daughter also had 2 Normandier for drinks. The son had some similar cocktail, which I forgot the name to.

Celebrated my birthday here today. It’s a nice and cozy spot. We got the beyond burger 7.75/10 and onion soup 8.5/10. I didn’t know what to get for my bday dessert so I went w the safest option, creme brulee, and it didn’t disappoint. Definitely coming back again to try different dishes!

Absolutely delicious! Akin treated our table with wonderful service and the food was wonderful. We enjoyed escargot and the steak & frites, but my favorite was the onion soup (so beyond flavorful and delicious). Such a great space for an intimate date night or large group dinner.

We wanted to have some European flavour food after landing following an 8 hours flight and the insane immigration queue at JFK…. The staff is simply great and efficient. It was interesting to look at the synchronised movements across the restaurant space. Cosy and trendy atmosphere… Cocktails: my experience is average. My Margarita was disappointing… Had Escargots as starter and I have to say that had far better experiences across France in lower end restaurants. What is really excellent is the meat. Had a fantastic Australian steak 🙌 with a great salad 👌 Expensive place but, in the end, we are in NYC

I walked into a beautiful space, high ceilings, greenery, waitstaff with impeccable uniforms, and a cool breeze blowing in. The mirror above the bar reflected a lot of natural light. As I was admiring the mirror the Bartender, Andy, greeted me with a menu and a pleasant smile. I order a glass of sparkling white and it is nice and cold with tiny bubbles served in a beautiful flute glass. The dessert was so delicious. I ordered the profiteroles and I highly recommend 👌 Thank you for a wonderful night Boucherie and thank you Andy for making it extra special.

So delicious & the ambiance and decor were very “Southern France”. I went for girls dinner and drinks and everything was delicious. Even our mocktails were cute and tasty. My ribeye was perfection. I highly recommend that or the braised beef stew!

  • 4/5 Anneka P. 2 years ago on Google
The decor does take you back to Paris, the service was great and the food great too. I had the steak tartare- not quite the same as in France (less minced and more chunks of meat) but the flavour was great. Went for the smaller portion and that was enough for me!

  • 5/5 Anjie Z. 8 months ago on Google
Came here for the restaurant week and it turned out to be much beyond expectation! I like the environment and setting of the restaurant. The gorgeous lady taking care of us is so nice and friendly (she looks so amazing like a movie star lol). I ordered scallop while my bf chose shrimp pasta and they are both great. If I have to be picky then I would recommend more seasoning in the shrimp pasta. Good place to share a simple dinner with your date or friends.

Great French influence steakhouse and beautiful Place! The dining room is large with an upstairs seating area. The staff was very attentive and helpful in navigating the menu and wine list. The Tomahawk rib eye was juicy, tasty and perfectly cook according to our liking. Mashed potato was bomb and tasty. I would definitely recommend!

One of the best brunch spots in the area. The waitstaff were prompt, the food and drinks were tasty and the service was excellent. Loved the butter that came with the bread. Our server Brahim was very attentive and personable. Will definitely be back!

Came here for brunch with my family. Loved the atmosphere and how I was able to make reservations on open table. Lovely place with two floors. Our waiter, Kerone was excellent. Super attentive and kept refilling out water without us asking. I got the steak and eggs, the eggs were so buttery good and the steak was so tender. My mom loved her seared salmon as well.
