This place is a great pit stop when visiting Centeral Park! 🏞️ The Shakespeare Garden 🎍 🎭 is a cool hidden spot in the middle of the park with many benches and flowers 🌹 that have quotes from Shakespeare's work next to them. This is a great place to sit down, relax, and unwind. Try coming in on a sunny ☀️ day. I wish more people knew about this place and visited!

Beautiful garden with well kept pathways and gardens. Loved the area, flowers, and the pathway was easy to walk on without difficulty, though would not be very accessible to everyone.

Beautiful garden in CP! They have the best flowers here, a few places to sit, and great spots for photos. Nice relaxing area I ran into while jogging in the park. Also close to the castle in Central Park so you can visit these two spots in one visit.

“To be or not to be,” thou art in a dream but a dream! Oh! To be with thy self in a mid summer night. Such love, love such. But me! Away away to thine place of peace and joy and the things that tick thy smell. Oh lover! Come away with me, my love! For this place calls us to find beautiful flowers! Flowers of destiny. Might thy find joy and destiny here.

Located at West Drive & 79th Transverse. Sitting right below the Belvedere Castle. It was first created on this site in 1912 by Dr. Edmond Bronk Southwick as ‘Garden of the Heart’. Named as Shakespeare Garden on April 23, 1916 as it became focused on Shakespeare. An enticing garden filled with plants/ flowers mentioned by Shakespeare.

Great place to get married! We booked while we were in NY, didn’t even know that it was there and we live not far from Stratford upon Avon so definitely good story to tell but more importantly it was a fantastic location to get married.... in New York City..... in Central Park!

We recently spent time in Central Park and enjoyed visiting the Shakespeare Garden along 79th Street Transverse, near the Belevedre Castle. This is a nicely landscaped garden, flowerbeds were lovely while a few of the trees in the area were also in bloom. There are several winding footpaths you can walk as well as a bench or two if you want to take a rest and enjoy the scene. You'll also see an interesting Swedish Cottage which is used as a Marionette Theatre as well.

Small but beautiful & serene spot in the middle of the city. If I lived here I would come to this garden every day to zen out and enjoy a little nature.

One of the oddball little elements within Central Park, the Shakespeare Garden contains specimens of every plant mentioned in Shakespeare's plays, along with plaques quoting the references to some of those plants. It's beautiful and fascinating, and you can spend only a few minutes drifting through it or a couple of hours hanging out there.

One of my favorite places to visit in Central Park. Right next to the Shakespeare theater, beautiful flowers adorn this garden. Quotes from Shakespeare's plays are through out. Must stop by for a stroll when in the park.

Shakespeare Garden is one of the gardens inside of the famous Central park in New York. Shakespearean garden is a beautiful area to walk through the lush, green trees and beautiful flowers. At least there were beautiful flowers in September when I went. From Shakespearean garden you can walk over to the Belvedere Castle, which is also a beautiful place and you can see the city from the top of the hill where the castle was built. Overall, if you’re at the Central Park for sure stop by the Shakespeare garden and take a few moments to sit at the benches and relax.

The place was beautiful. The Shakespeare Garden gives you a nice view of the park. There’s not much to do up there.

My most favorite place during my trip to New York City. You could access to the Bellevue castle, the great lake and kayaking in the central park. I love 😍 the place, recommended to everyone.

Lovely garden. Takes about 5 minutes to make a round. Very small 1 or 2 person(s) pathway. Lots of rose bushes.

The Shakespeare Garden is beautiful in the spring. When my children went there, it’s like they entered fairly tail land.
