Nice place to relax downtown. Great architecture surrounding the park with the Woolworth building on the southwest side, park row on the southern side and the municipal building on the East side. Also Brooklyn bridge on the east side. Lots of transit options. Very nice city park.

There’s some pretty cool sculptures here, nice little park and some interesting architecture nearby, including city hall. Plenty of seating to take a nice break form the stresses. A short walk form the world trade memorial too.

A lot of the area around the buildings is blocked off. The place looks like they are barricaded and ready for a riot (I'm only partially joking, it was weird.) The buildings, fountain and park areas are nice.

Surrounded by centuries-old majestic government buildings that date back to 1812, this park provides a much-needed green spot in a bustling downtown area. At lunchtime each afternoon it springs to life when those working in the neighborhood come to relax, eat, and soak in sunshine on its grassy lawns. For people-watching enthusiasts, the park provides a crosscut of New York life as government workers, jury members, and newlyweds visiting City Hall for their marriage licenses stroll through its grounds. Its bike path, which leads directly to the Brooklyn Bridge, offers a different type of scenic view to cyclists pedaling through picturesque panoramas of some of the City's iconic public architecture.

What a gorgeous spot! You get to see some historic architecture and a lovely green space in the middle of the city. Great spot to sit and cool down, lovely benches.

"A Hidden Treasure" Finding trees, flowers, butterflies, art and water fountains in the middle of a concrete jungle is just like an oasis in the middle of a desert. This tiny park is beyond beautiful and it is surrounded by gorgeous buildings. There is no doubt you will be delighted to stop by for a quick visit and see it by yourself. None of my pictures will make real justice to its beauty, so if you are around the World Trade Center, it is nearby, lets say a short waking distance.

A smaller park than expected considering the size of the city. Well maintained. With a nice fountain in the middle. The best thing is the contrast with the surrounding tall buildings.

This visit was a quick visit, we bought some bottles of water and took a quick break here. In amongst all the traffic and people this park was quite remarkable and we enjoyed our little time here. We paid a visit to the “Brooklyn Bridge” prior to visiting the park. Nice

Nice park with some art installations. You can't go near the city hall itself. It has barricades. Unfriendly compared to other cities in the country.

Just walked dogs here. They loved the little patch of green admits the concrete city. It’s right off the Brooklyn bridge and had a lot of Tourist sitting/napping on the benches to relax from the pre storm heat. I gave it 5 stars because the area smells a little.

What an amazing place. It is not very touristy, we found it by accident. Do yourself a favor and spend at least an hour walking around and taking the views in. The Woolworth Building is nearby. The walk from here to the Woolworth Building is a must as well. In general, the area is amazing for a nice morning walk.

Close to all of the major Sightseeing areas. We ate at a food truck and then we went over to the park to sit and eat our food. Once leaving the park we were able to see the people walking to the base of the Brooklyn Bridge, 911 Memorial and also walk to the pier. Park wasn’t as clean as I am used to seeing in the area. I am sure that was just for today. I hope so.

Oasis may be an overworked description of a city vest pocket park but this 120 year-old grove of peace in a very busy part of a very busy city is the place to rest and recover from a hectic day. It's near the Manhattan end of the Brooklyn Bridge, easily reachable by the #2 or 3 train -- Park Place station on the subway maps "red line") or the Brooklyn Bridge stop on the 4,5 or 6 trains (Lexington Ave line shown green on maps) or the City Hall stop on the R or W trains (yellow on maps). The fountain, the several gardens of beautiful flowers and the original sculptures add the pleasure of sitting in the shade of mature trees that almost block the traffic of this junction of Civic Center and Financial District. It's a short walk to the World Trade Center and to the System Island and Governors Islands ferries. Spend a peaceful 1/2 hour here -- you'll never regret it.

City Hall Park, nestled in the heart of Lower Manhattan, is a serene oasis in the midst of the city's vibrant energy. This historic park boasts an impressive array of sights, from the majestic City Hall building itself to its lush greenery, inviting pathways, and charming fountains. It's a haven for both relaxation and exploration, offering a peaceful escape from the nearby bustling streets. The park's benches provide a perfect spot for people-watching or enjoying a quiet moment amidst the beautiful surroundings. With its rich history, occasional events, and proximity to notable landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge, City Hall Park is a delightful retreat that beautifully blends nature, history, and urban allure.

A place to remember. Gorgeous mascot of Connecticut! Relaxing atmosphere, amazing view and perfect for any occasion: walk, romantic photo shoot, family day out. Tip: sit on the benches a little down the hill and take a beautiful photo with the picturesque building in the back!

How lucky are we to live here and have access to this? what I think is the greatest aspect of the park, is that it has so many things to do incluiding museums, parks, horses, gardens, children's areas, etc. In short, it's not just a park.

City Hall Park is a good little getaway from the hustle and bustle of lower Manhattan. You can have a picnic or an interview. Whatever you decide, it's good to always find time to slow down and take it the huge city around you and appreciate the small little parks. Take a deep breath, and continue on.

Nice park, we were there about 2 hours before sunrise and there was no sunlight in the park so it felt colder. I wouldn't exactly recommend coming here to eat as you'll be approached by multiple squirrel wanting a bit. If you do eat there, don't feed the squirrels until you've finished your food and start leaving, just like training a dog to behave at a dinner table.

I went for a Rally today and the place was electric with Hope and the Promise of a Just tomorrow. The buildings are beautifully designed and the area is almost pristine. Located by MTA and shops. Quiet, clean and so very Pleasing should you decide to sit amongst the structures or in the Square. A wonderful park is located nearby.

This park was so awesome. It was the most pleasant of walks. The buildings are there, and some greenery. It is a short walk from the Brooklyn Bridge, and a great place to take a break on a bench after walking the bridge. Something about the park was very peaceful. Though, if you have young children, there is no playground equipment at all.

Took a wonderful stroll in this beautiful City people that brought Hall Park. I was in awe of all the beauty in nature, architecture and history that surrounded me. I thought to myself, If only I could immerse myself in the minds of the people who created this pleasant, but yet, threatening, ambiance filled with both, justice and injustices intelligence. I have never thought of this, but something drove my thoughts to this thinking. It was surreal.
