The onion soup was really good, we were excited for the entrees but the muscles and the skirt steak both tasted off. Not sure why we forced ourselves to finish everything, we both felt unwell later that day and over the weekend. I read another review about this place using lower quality ingredients, I can totally see that in hind sight. Main flavour was just salt, this place goes on the avoid list.

I came here for my birthday weekend to have some french onion soup. My husband ordered the Basic egg for brunch and, while simple, it was well executed: fluffy savory egg, well toasted bread and delicious prosciutto. My french onion soup had a perfect mixture of cheese, toast and onion, and was gorgeous. The basket with bread and butter is also delicious. Because of my birthday, the restaurant treated me to a creme brulee, which was a really nice gesture. The dessert was sweet in a great way! Service and decoration are top notch too. Nice place to treat yourself out.

Beautiful charming place to have good French comfort cuisine! Loved the outdoor seating. It was intimate and lively at the same time. The restaurant is located on a little quiet street. The food was yummy. The service was very friendly. Definitely highly recommend this place!

Calling yourself the “meat market” is daring in 2021! The place lives up to its name, serving french dishes that taste just like home. Everything was perfectly executed. One of the finest merguez sausage I’ve tasted. The Ratatouille was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place!

Came in for a quiet lunch . Was really nice to practically have the whole restaurant to myself. Started with some complimentary bread. Was so nice , warm and crispy . Had the fixed lunch , phenomenal price with an amazing portion . Loved everything, will happily come back .

Food was good but the wait staff was rude. After being there for less than an hour the servers became antsy to clear our table and were clearly trying to vacate us. We had three waiters ask to take our unfinished plates within the span of less than 5 minutes. Since it was our friends birthday we were offered a free dessert which we ended up getting charged $14 for because we “did not make a birthday reservation”. How unprofessional! I will definitely not be coming back due to this treatment. Take your money elsewhere.

[5/5, New York, NY] We were looking for a place to have dinner and just searched around Greenwich Village. Came across this super highly rated place on Google Maps - did not disappoint at all. Bread was hot and butter had a nice touch of salt. Smoked duck breast was okay - was curious how this tasted so we just ordered a portion. French onion soup, octopus and beef tartare were all amazing. Topped it all off with a perfectly cooked medium rare Chateaubriand. Will come back.

Amazing place. I am vegetarian who love fish but not too much. When I tasted the salmon with white beans was amazing and the Ratatouille, Love it. Got to come to this place once again for my bday! Thank you Paola for serving the food and Daniel for the amazing drink La vie en Rose 🌹

Good brunch at Petite Boucherie. Me and a friend had an avocado toast with poached eggs + a burger, coffee & La Vie en rose cocktail. Food was good and the vibe is cheerful. We visited on a snowy Sunday and there were a lot of people. The check came to about $72 (February 2022)

Great French place. Ordered: - Meat and cheese board: great selection of cheeses and meats and paired with pickles, candied walnuts, and strawberry. Great board to start. Duck and blue cheese were both stand out for me. - escargot: really rich and well cooked, was not rubber at all and they gave multiple snails per little divider, I appreciated them not skimping out - Branzino: really well done, perfectly tender and well balanced paired with yams, onions, and tomatoes - salmon: super crispy and perfectly cooked, paired with flava (I think) beans

Absolutely fabulous bistro. The food was exquisite and the service top notch. Highly recommend make a reservation as the location on Christopher St. is not too large (very intimate) and fills up quickly. We went there on a Tuesday night and every table was full by 7:30pm. If you have dietary restrictions just talk with your server and the chef will do their best to accommodate your needs. Wonderful place, we will be back.

Absolutely wonderful!!! I took my mom and son here during our visit in the city today so I could try escargot. It was so worth it! The escargot was prepared beautifully and the sauce was perfect. We also ordered French fries and I'm not kidding when I say they where the best French fries we have ever had they had the perfect crunch! Our server was also so sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was also beautiful and cozy. I will definitely be going here again!

Walking through the west village, my friend and I were not expecting to walk into this place, but super happy we did. Susana welcomed us with open arms. Accommodated us to the bar, in which we had a great experience. The bartender was attentive and super hospitable. Definitely recommend and will be back!!!! Best Boucherie i’ve been to in the city!!!

I been coming to this place for breakfast and dinner and the times I have come has been amazing. From the food to all the workers like Paola that who assisted today 4/1/22; for my friend’s birthday. Also Daniel who makes good drinks. If I could make 10/10 stars I would. I will recommend.

We stopped in for brunch and the staff was wonderful! Friendly and professional. Food is fantastic. It was Brunch rush so we sat at the bar, honestly this is best experience I've had thus far. The hostess and bar tender lady was phenomenal! We will most definitely be coming back!

delicious food and drink, with a decoration that makes me travel and feel in France, excellent service, very good server and staff. I ordered the burrata salad and it was beyond juicy and amazing. I'll be back soon to try the Moules frites❤️✨

Beautiful little place, pretty decor and nice French atmosphere. We stopped by for breakfast, had Eggs Norvegian and beef tartar. Food was fresh and delicious, but that pistachio dessert was out of this world! Service was kinda slow, it felt like we waited for a hot minute for almost everything but it wasn't overly annoying because we were busy with conversation.

Wine was nice, entrees were fine, salad was middling - but service was terrible. Salad came out with the entrees, we didn't see our waiter at all through the meal - and the bus boy who kindly took our dessert order came back and told us they did not have the glass of "Bord-oh" red wine we tried to order, only "Bodrux" :( At a French place!

Delicious ham and cheese, french onion soup, bread and butter, sublime flavors! Had to come back the next day for more: had escargot, beef sandwich, white wine, all was amazing! Server was very friendly when I asked for wine recommendation. Felt like we were eating in France 😂 , amazed by the level of food in nyc

Went there for restaurant week. The set menu $30 was definitely worth to try. White carrot soup: just ok Salad: simple, fresh, good Pate: enjoyed! Mushroom ravioli: great flavor Burger and fries: it was ok. Wish it was with some special sauce or something. Bread and butter: very good

We went here for an anniversary dinner. It's the smaller version of the grand boucherie. The atmosphere and decor were really good. We ordered the onion soup, snails, hangar steak and lamb chops. Overall, I felt that their spice mix and taste was much better than most other places and the quantity was very good. However, the meat wasn't really seared well. I suspect they don't really use heavy cast iron pans... And they cut off the lovely fat from the lamb chops but that's standard for most places these days. Why don't they ever ask you if you want the fat or not? I've added some pictures as well. The creme brulee for dinner was also very good! Overall, definitely a place checking out!

Excellent service and food in this place. I went to have dinner tonight and we had a steak tartare as an appetizer and pastas for main and they were fabulous. Daniel’s performance was great, excellent service, recommendations and conversations topics. Very aware of the restaurant and we loved how much he and the rest of the team help each other to make us have a great time. 5 stars to petite boucherie.

Stunning. A secluded private corner restaurant in the west village that helps one to just escape the havoc of 6th Ave and transports one to a a corner of Paris. The food is excellent. The burger is likely one of the best I’ve ever had in NYC. I will say, for a place as stunning in decor and in flavor of food I do wish that the service was a little more friendly. They’re responsive, but not proactive in their care. This is not a make or break for me, but as a service professional myself I would hope to have the cost of my plate + drink translate throughout the entire experience. Coming back soon!

This place is beyond than amazing. I just had dinner and I had the best experience that I ever in this area. The ambience is super nice and frenchie, music and lights are perfect to enjoy a dinner in NY. Service was spectacular, perfect timing, our bartender Daniel covered all our needs and made some good recommendations without being pushy. He is super sweet and kind. Food was also really nice, perfect temperature and cooking methods. A lot of flavors and amazing textures in our dishes. And cocktails, simply delicious! I’m definitely coming back to this place. Keep it up guys, amazing team.

What a delightful experience from beginning to end. From the moment we walked in everyone who worked their went out of there way to make us feel special. Our maitre d, waitress and bus boy were all so sweet and adorable. Then there was dinner. We started with the pate en croute and the escargots de bourgogne. They were both so so so tasty. Then for dinner the steak frites and the marget de canard (duck) and they were just as delicious as the starters. Finally, I tasted one of the best creme brulee's I ever had and something I can only describe as chocolate decadence. Thank you for a wonderful night out!

Amazing restaurant! Would recommend to everyone I know. The ambience is amazing and the food is even better. I got the raviolis and I don’t regret it at all. The filet and French onion were also amazing. Ask for Eva she was amazing

Really good. As a French person, I think you can truly recognize the taste of French cuisine in this food. However, just as in most French restaurants, the steak of the burger was a little too big for me.

Had the best experience here. Amazing food, cozy atmosphere. This is the best place to go when looking for a great meal and amazing atmosphere. I ordered the French onion soup and the steak frites and it was perfection. The manager Eva makes the experience a 10/10. Highly recommended coming here!!

My favorite restaurant in the West Village. Actually, in all of Manhattan! My husband and I dined here twice while we were in NYC on vacation for two years in a row. Now we live here in the city and so of course we dine at Petite Boucherie for everything from special occasions to causal coffee dates. It has a cozy yet elegant atmosphere and a charming staff. This restaurant is truly not to be missed!
