Alright, let’s start by saying that I have been a really loyal customer for at least a year. The Mac & cheese « WAS » amazing and excellent, creamy, rich and flavorful. Until today… (Nov 2022) To start, they are making the pasta in advance… and seriously?! They were not al dente at all but overcooked. So please, go back to the way you guys used to make them, fresh! Then, where was the cream?! The bechamel? Where is the melted cheese?! It was tasteless, pasta were overcooked. And for a cheese store you guys should at least try them before selling what I got today. On top of that, the price from the small Mac & cheese went from $6 to $10. So $4 extra for less everything! I hope to go back to the same way they used to do it until less than a month ago.

Murray’s is its own world of cheese and everything needed to make the perfect charcuterie board. They age their own cheese there. It is like walking into a little piece of heaven, where you not only find an entire counter, filled with 1 million different types of cheeses, I might be exaggerating a bit, but there are also olives, dried and cured meats, and an assortment of other items.

What a GREAT experience for my 11yr old son. We spent the day in NYC and his one request was to find a cheese shop. Murray’s was recommended and I could not been more impressed with the staff. The young (black) man helping us showed us your hard cheeses and we tasted a few different ones. My son wanted to see ‘one with holes’ in it and the man said he knew exactly which one. It turns out my 11 yr old very picky eater has a nose and taste buds for good cheese. He settled on the Challerhocker cheese. I was very impressed! THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL MEMORY AND EXPERIENCE!!

The guys at the front was nice 👍🏽 very great customer service the Mac and cheese 🧀 is ok, I think 🤔 I can whip up a better batch of Mac and Cheese however. (Can use a bit more Salt 🧂 or Seasoning) Nothing to personal 😏 and Murray’s Cheese 🧀 next door sells excellent Cheese!!! I tried a sample of their aged Swiss cheese and when I say you are in for a treat !!!

We had a cheese and wine class here. Great idea for a gift, especially for foodies. The cheeses are amazing here. I only wish they stocked bacon jam lol

We got to Murray’s Mac & Cheese and the kitchen was closed (it was 7:15pm and they close at 8pm based on google maps) this was not advertised anywhere. One of the guys at the cashier said that kitchen closes at around 7:30pm. After one of the store associates saw us, he came and asked if we were looking for something specific and we said that we traveled there only to try their Mac n cheese. He kindly took our order and we received the mac n cheese about 10 minutes after we ordered. I must say that it was definitely worth it. I personally don’t like spicy food but the taste on the buffalo one was amazing. My favorite one was the classic. The pasta was right on point. I would definitely recommend this place if you are a fan of trying Mac n cheese. PLUS: if you are a fan of beer, they have a craft lager can that is very tasty called (Post Shift) 10/10

This has been the premier cheese shop of NYC for quite a few years now. Finally went to their cheese and wine class yesterday and it was a great experience. They have two instructors. One teaches you about the wine and the other teaches you about the cheese and how to pair various wines and cheeses. We had: Wine: - Minimalista - 2022 Rosé - C' Est La Vie! - Pinot Noir / Syrah Red Blend - Cantina Fiorentino - Primitivo - Opici - Lambrusco Cheese: - Bijou - Fontina Fontal - Ewephoria - High Plains Cheddar All four cheeses were OUTSTANDING. For the wine, this was the first rosé I've ever liked. The other reds were pretty good (except the Lambrusco, it was too sweet and mildly carbonated). All in all, it was a cool experience. I'd recommend to anyone living in or visiting NYC.

The class was a little sloppy. The instructor was great, but the class size was too big. Hard to hear and follow along. Half the room was couples, and half the room was completely drunk coworkers who were talking over the instructor. I wish we had spent more time on the mozzarella tasting, more time talking about how they made the cheese curd, and explaining the wine pairings. Felt rushed and didn’t leave feeling I got my value’s worth.

This is an awesome spot! Got the Mac and cheese and it was delicious - definitely go classic if it’s your first time. The cheese blend is a mix of classic and a bit of age and funk. The bread crumbs on top provide a great textural contrast. On top of it all, you can peruse and buy all different kinds of cheese in the shop! I believe they also have classes as well

Me and my friend came here after months of wanting to try the Mac and Cheese. 😌. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations but it wasn’t bad. It just needed salt and that’s what we did - we added 🧂. Out of 10 we rate as following: Kristina - 6 Dulce - 5

Lots of great cheese and snack options, great for events and charcuterie. Also pretty reasonable prices, especially for the neighborhood 🙂🧀❤️

Really fun place. In addition to all the cheese for sale, they run classes on tasting and pairing cheese. I’ve gone to a couple and had a great time: it’s educational but relaxed, and they instructors have been great.

We visited New York City in 2019 for Christmas. Blessed because it was just before the pandemic hit and was one of the warmest winters in years! Being from Southern California we appreciated that so much. During our visit to Greenwich Village we stumbled onto Murray’s Cheese and we’re glad we did! This particular cheese was the best cheese we’ve ever eaten! If I lived in NYC I would visit Murray’s cheese shop every day until I sampled everything! Must go! 🗽

Great local deli with variety of cheese and salami. There is pre-packed stuff and a bar.

10/10 we got their at 7:20pm ( the kitchen closed at 7:30pm) and they had the register closed. But they noticed we wanted to order something and they asked us. And they went to the back and made our order. The Mac and Cheese was delicious. The pasta they use is not like the normal Mac and cheese I’ve had before and the cheese is super rice and creamy. I would definitely go back when I come visit NY.

This place is great! My partner and I went for a wine and cheese tasting (which was excellent and we want to do another), and simply HAD to buy some cheese. Great assortment of meats and cheeses. They also have a party plate of cheeses that we were eyeballing for the next party we go to. They also have some interesting dry goods on the shelves that I want to try.

A very nice place for many kinds of cheese that you may get within America.

This really is the ultimate cheese experience on the Eastern seaboard. I've been to the shop which is amazing, but their packing and delivery is top notch. I had the charcuterie mothership appear at my front door and it was nothing short of spectacular.

Wife absolutely loved it. Mac and cheese with multiple add-ons. I added pepper jack and onions, she added parmesean. She would give it 5 stars...I thought it was good... but nothing like the old box of kraft with the cheese sauce or Velveeta... the originals and still Champs of the Mac and cheese game...

I went there for a cheese tasting night. The cheeses were amazing and so delicious. But... I was kind of shocked that this store does nothing to cater its events to customers with physical or sensory issues. I had to walk down a narrow flight of stairs to the basement even though I was using a walking cane and had difficulty with stairs. The event room itself is very echoey and loud. It was almost impossible to hear anything the instructor was saying and almost unbearable if you have sensory issues.

Murray’s Cheese remains one of the better stores in the city. However it’s iconic cheese melt has been in the past months too many times well below the quality it used to be. The right blend of the three cheeses, the generous quantity and the moist were just perfect and a treat each time. This is no longer the case and a rather sad and dry cheese toast. Don’t change the formula or train again your staff and deliver the best, the way it used to be. An aficionado who would come every week for that treat.

I bought so extremely disgusting salami in the Grand Central store. A very foul, rancid stench comes from the highly fatty outer layer of the salami. This stench permeates the meat and ruins the appetite when you smell it. Its salami is so expensive, $33 per pound. I wanted to return the salami in the store, but customer service didn't want to return my money, and the manager spoke with me unrespectful. I have never seen the same unrespectful manager. I showed them the transaction from my apple pay, but they said it's no evidence. I definitely won't buy anything at this store. All of the salami is not fresh and too expensive. Save your money. Doesn't buy this salami in this store if you want to keep yourself and your health.

I went to a cheese class hosted by Michele and it was excellent! The class was super informative and exciting and I learned a ton. The cheese selections and pairings were delectable and it was such a worthwhile experience overall!

My experience here was extremely fun and the opposite of overwhelming. The young lady helping me behind the counter was nothing but amazing help. From cheeses pairings to ice cream flavors. My family LOVED ! The cheeses. I will Definitely be going back.
