We had a great experience in this hotel. Rooms are quite larger than other hotels with similar price, super comfy bed, the location is perfect and the breakfast is really good! With a lot of hot/cold options. I loved the coffee station available 24/7, specially during this cold weather. Also, the kitchen in the room is well equipped, so you can buy frozen foods and cook them there. I'd love to come back!

Well appointed and spacious rooms for a city hotel. Great layout. However need more lighting around refrigerator area as well as clothing closet. We need a cleanliness item addressed , it was addressed promptly with high level of courtesy. We got daily messages from the hotel , checking in on our experience. We did not know, but this brand offers a welcoming event every Wednesday early evening, soup, fruit, desserts and cheeses. 👍☝️☝️☝️☝️

Bed bugs in room 1811. Stayed here for a business trip. Checked in as normal and immediately checked the beds. One bed had crumbs all in it and you could tell it was not cleaned. The other bed had fresh sheets so I stayed in that bed. The next morning I had bed bug bites all on my feet. I packed and left immediately. I called the front desk to alert them and the young man said “okay let me transfer you to housekeeping.” No one picked up for house keeping so I left a message. I was furious they never acknowledged the issue. A few days later I called Hilton Customer Service, they opened up a ticket and said someone would follow up. It’s been three weeks and no one had followed up. As a gold member I’m disappointed in this chain. No one should stay at this hotel, it’s disgusting. The only thing good about it is the proximity.

Honestly, I highly recommend this hotel. I live in NY, but had someone visiting who has never been. They wanted to experience the city. The location is perfect for tourism, public transportation, and food. We stayed in a king suite with kitchenette. It was absolutely beautiful. The room was larger than other hotels I’ve been to in the city. The staff were very helpful with booking. They answered all of my questions expeditiously, which made the process faster. Between the staff and atmosphere, it’s an extremely welcoming place. The rooftop is very nice as well. You could sit up there and capture an amazing view. I believe it’s worth every penny you pay. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Two bed with sofa pull out with amp space for a family of five which is great. Lots of walking room and love the fact there’s a kitchenette. Free breakfast but don’t expect much from it. Very bland and not comparable to their other hotels I’ve been too. Elevator is always jammed packed. parking for $60 on the same street which is very convenient. Sometimes in NY it’s the next street over.

I had a pretty decent experience. Was able to check in through my phone and access my room before I reached the hotel which was great. The lobby was nice and inviting. Didn’t have to wait in any lines or come in contact with anyone. Just went straight to my room! The staff, although I didn’t have to come in contact with them that much, were good. It really does help & makes a big difference when you have enough staff to cover different areas throughout the hotel! It is a safe hotel. You have to use your room key for everything! The complimentary breakfast was ok. Glad they had different options (cold & hot) available. The options were on the healthier side. A variety of fruits to choose from……… eggs, potatoes, turkey & chicken sausage, turkey bacon, french toast, pancakes, oatmeal, etc. I liked that they had to-go boxes if you wanted to take some food with you. The rooms were great!!! Lots of space and the kitchen was fully furnished (stove, dishwasher, sink, pots, pans, untensils) in case you wanted to cook or anything. There was also a huge refrigerator in the room with plenty of space to store your food & drinks. Felt like a mini home! The hotel is in a good location, about a 5-10mins. walk to Times Square, Broadway and the Subway. Madison Square Gardens is about the same distance in the opposite direction. Will stay here again if I visit NYC! 👍🏼🗽

Good hotel, well situated in Manhattan. Helpful staff. Room was fine but it was very hot. Couldn't make it cooler. Good breakfast. Great that complimentary hot drinks were available 24/7.

I was a little apprehensive bc we usually stay at more luxurious hotels, but 7 nights in NYC over Christmas with 5 of us, required us to be a little less bougee! But I was super happy with the stay. The room was actually spacious, especially for a hotel in Manhattan. The free breakfast was fine. Yes, it repeated a lot, but there was a good variety and it was free! They were also awesome at constantly replenishing the food, coffee, water, etc. The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly, which should be expected, but often is not the case these days! Housekeeping was great and any time we had to call for service (toilet needed plunging, hairdryer needed to be replaced, more towels, etc), they came right away. Elevators were slow so we used the stairs, but that’s any any busy hotel. Would def stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Our room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Employees were extremely friendly and hepful. The breakfast was good and the Wednesday evening reception was a nice touch! The little kitchenette was great. We enjoyed the rooftop area as well. We look forward to staying again!

We were in NYC in August 2022. We have been many many times in the past to the same area but different hotels. The staff and perks of the hotel are wonderful! Excellent hot breakfast, excellent reception on Wednesday, excellent staff, full kitchen in our unit and lots of space. The rooms are a little run down and our couch had stains on it. However, the area has a lot of drugs out in plain view during the day, no police presence and doesn't feel as safe as it used to be. I would not stay here again just because of the location. Families with small children I would not recommend this area/location unfortunately. We love Hilton but unfortunately the area is terrible.

STAFF is wonderful, helpful and responsive. HOTEL has issues though. what's with the AC in the room? Had to call twice during my stay because the AC would work for a while then it would turn off or simply blow HOT AIR. the room turns hot and humid---- but if you go down to the lobby, the AC is full blasting. Unfair to guests. Our bathroom was clean but there was a loose toilet paper holder, which maintenance team promptly fixed. Thank you for that. Also, you must call a day ahead if you wish to have Housekeeping done OR you are on your own. The price for a room is high if you don't automatically include housekeeping daily. Fix this, Hilton. For Hilton to use their name in an establishment like this.... no good. Breakfast is included and they have variety daily, which is a Plus.

We showed up and the front desk staff was so friendly. They immediately checked our bags (we were early). The lobby was spacious and had tons of seating. There was an outdoor courtyard in back that was a little dark and a little noisy due to all the mini-split units on adjacent buildings, but it was nice to have some outdoor space. We were also told there was a roof deck that we didn't even get to check out. When we came back to check into the room, they upgraded us to a king suite, which is larger than many Manhattan apartments. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The room was facing W. 37th St. and it is the city that never sleeps so it was a little loud on a Saturday, but what can you expect - bring some earplugs on a weekend. Breakfast had a good, varied selection and was good quality - the quiche was delicious. Would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful hotel that is close to many mid-town attractions and restaurants. The staff were especially attentive and responsive. The room was very comfortable, if a little worn in places. I loved having a full size refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast buffet was as decent as they come when included in the hotel rate. The staff made sure that it was kept full. I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

Our stay here was great! The staff was very kind and helpful- even let us check out a little late free of charge. The breakfast was good as well with lots of options and good coffee, The room was also a good size and theres a cute rooftop seating area as well. There’s really not complaints at all for the hotel- although i would be wary about the location as theres a group of guys that hang out on both sides of the street right outside the hotel at all times. This is not the hotels fault but as a young woman it’s worth noting!! our room was clean, quiet, comfortable and it was nice having a mini kitchen area.

We really enjoyed our stay here in December. It was so close to the theatres and other areas we wanted to visit. Some days we got breakfast out but it was always nice to have the option to eat the complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Our room was nice and clean. We used the pullout couch and found that if you turn it sideways, it fits better in the space so we didn’t have to put it away every day. We had a fridge, sink, microwave and dishwasher. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of 5 stayed in an oversized room for 3 nights while we visited the city. While it is just off busy & diverse 8th Ave and, yes, there are some people who are always sitting/standing/laying on the sidewalk nearby (they never bothered us), the hotel is very nice. The room was perfect, clean, AC worked great, big fridge. I only wished there was some vanity space in the bathroom. There are light blocking shades and I couldn’t believe how quiet it was in our room. The breakfast is still continental breakfast but it changes day to day and there’s always something for everyone. The rooftop and outside breakfast area were great perks. The people at the front desk and on breakfast duty were all wonderful. We had a great experience and would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

Hotel is good in a good location. Rooms are good size for NYC. Breakfast was good but could use a little more variety on consecutive days. They also let families stay with fold out which is a big plus. Now the bad. Maybe this is just par for the course for NYC hotels, but the lobby is way too small for the amt of people staying there. Breakfast is a zoo with no place to sit. The elevators can take up to 10 mins to catch up or down. Also would love to know the rationale for offering the one elevator from the other 2, makes things confusing. Aggravating the elevator issue is the key card.very difficult to get it to register on the pad before pressing your floor? Also one single use bathroom on the lobby level for 100+ people? C level bathroom - mens room broken.... maybe clean up the little things and it can get a higher rating.

I have to start with a compliment . Donovan, a young man working the front desk was exceptionally helpful . Upon arrival he checked our luggage into a holding area so we could enjoy the city for the day before check in time. He seemed to be at the desk every time we had a need and he was always accommodating despite how incredibly busy the lobby was on a Saturday before Christmas. When we were leaving he even made point to say goodbye and thank you for staying. Very nice young man. The rest of the review.... Took a family trip to visit the Christmas sites and needed a room that would accommodate five. This room was much more spacious than expected for crowded manhattan. Full kitchen area and a pull-out couch. Note that the pull out couch is a twin size mattress only. The kitchen area could use more lighting. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was quite large. Rooftop was a nice touch and offered a pretty good view. Breakfast was unexpected, as we were searching not many hotels offered it. They had a great selection with attentive staff constantly restocking. Yes the lobby and food area were crowded but the hotel does the best it can with limited footprint that it has on the first floor. Hotel was close to the subway but a little farther from some of the sites then we wanted to be. However, for the price and service we received we will definitely stay there again.

Location can’t be beat as you are right in downtown Manhattan. For the sights and convenience alone you can’t beat it!! There was a complication finding my reservation at first, someone else had booked on my behalf, but the staff sorted everything out for me really painlessly. I was shown to my room, not sure if that is for everyone or as an apology for the weird start to my stay but it was a nice touch. The room was clean, well-stocked, and had everything I could have asked for. They also had delicious, fresh coffee at all hours in the lobby! Breakfast was great too. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would come here again, whether for another 2-day trip or for longer if called for. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a few days in mid-April 2022. The hotel is very busy, but everyone was extremely nice and professional. The room was clean, and in great condition. I appreciated having a hotel room with a little more space and extras like silverware and a big refrigerator...a rarity in NYC unless you want to pay a fortune! Breakfast was good. The location of the hotel was convenient. We'd stay there again for sure.

My family and I stayed here for an extended weekend as a short getaway. Our room was clean, but quite small. We had a king efficiency studio with "twin" sofa bed. My children sleep on a twin bed at home, and I must say this was sub-twin size at best. On the other hand, the king bed was very comfortable and adequately sized. Our flight came in early and we did end up having to wait until close to 4pm (the "official" check in time) to get a room. The front desk staff kindly kept watch over our luggage and even gave my children a bag of chips to help hold over their hunger. However, we still had to busy ourselves and find a real meal , as we waited nearly 4 hours before any rooms were available. I can't say that I have experienced this many times with any hotel chain I have ever stayed with. Arriving early is usually not a problem, but I could see that one front desk staff in particular was trying very hard to accommodate us as best as she could (kudos to Rochelle!). The first morning we were here, breakfast was well stocked and had ample variety of hot items (including eggs, potatoes, pancakes, beef, etc), pastries, cereal, yogurt, and a great variety of fresh fruit. However, the second day was very disappointing. I came out to eat around 9:40 (breakfast isn't over until 10:30) to find almost no pastries, none of the fruit medley, no bananas, and many other items quickly vanishing and not to be replenished. As a person on a plant based diet, a variety of fresh produce is essential. However, the cafeteria workers (like Lizbeth) explained the situation and seemed equally frustrated with being unable to meet the needs of the guests. Lizbeth directed me to whom I should address my concerns. I went to front office and was met with EXEMPLARY customer service from Rochelle. She was aware of my health issues and dietary needs and went above and beyond the call to go to a nearby store to purchase some fresh fruit and additional food items for me. This level of customer care and hospitality is rare and should be commended! Employees like Rochelle are an asset to the Hilton brand! Rather than excuses and empty apologies, she affirmatively took steps to rectify the situation. Rochelle's concern and actions are the epitome of customer service. While there were some minor cosmetic issues with the room (peeling wall paper in the bathroom, touch up paint needed) that I felt could be better, this was an overall pleasant stay. The hotel is walking distance to many shops, restaurants and NYC hot spots. But the amazing staff, especially Rochelle at the front desk, is what sets it apart! We would definitely come back again.

Our stay in NYC was awesome. Really enjoyed the hotel and the front desk staff and breakfast staff were fantastic. The front desk crew were there to answer any questions and able to make many arrangements for us, including getting car service. The breakfast staff were very efficient and kept breakfast running smoothly. I never noticed an empty tray, they were always on top of filling the food before it was empty. They did run out of raisins one day for the oatmeal and I mentioned it to a girl there and she promptly brought out more. I would recommend this hotel if you plan to visit NYC. Location is fantastic. Walking distance of Times Square and Penn Station so you can literally get anywhere in the city. Hudson Yard is also a short 15 minute walk away and is beautiful.

Nice looking hotel, well kept - cleaners do a good job, rooms a good size. When arrived there was only one big towel in the bathroom for two people, despite calling front desk that night didn't get another towel until the next day, this may seem minor but this basic need should be a given in any hotel and is annoying having to get dried with little hand towels! Breakfast was good. No street noise in room. Nice rooftop patio area. Room lacked decent lighting but this is a common problem in many hotels these days, very little daylight in our room unfortunately no view, hard to find an area in room with enough light to put on make-up - downlights in bathrooms are not good for this. Handy enough location for Penn station but this does mean a lot of poor souls/down and outs around the hotel and you see them every time you leave and return to hotel, didn't feel they were dangerous but it's sad to see.

I spent an amazing holiday time at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Midtown. The staff was very kind and happy to help me in any requests. The morning breakfast is very rich, fresh and variegated; you can also have a take away package, moreover coffe and tea are always available at the Lobby. The cleaning of the hotel is very accurate. The room is large and the kitchen is provided of everything, with a large fridge and microwave. The housekeeping is available everyday for the rush and towels' change, whilst the cleaning service is available on request. The location is central so you can reach most of popular places in 10 minutes by walking. I really recommend it!

Receptionists, house keepers are doing their best for the service. I will stay here at the earliest. It’s 5 minutes walk to major subway ,train and bus stations that you can travel whole Nyc, Manhattan and other cities and even Canada . Easy access to JFK, La Guardia airports. You can see some homeless people around hotel but they are harmless.

Overall the service and the experience deserves 5 stars. The hours for breakfast were realistic and helpful especially until 10:30 AM. Because of its location the lobby was quite crowded and it was pleasing to see there was someone there to greet you most times. My selected room was changed and This was not good for me because my choice was intentional. Because it was such a busy week and it was always crowded downstairs I chose to let this pass because I felt like the traffic was more of a priority. I will give the hotel another try soon.

This Homewood Suites has a perfect location in Time Square. It was in walking distance of the major attractions and close to Penn station. The front desk team was friendly, efficient, and promptly responded to request. The room was spacious and clean while the sofa bed was a perfect addition for small groups. My only drawback was there was no door to block off the bedroom from the shower so people could show in private.

I have been staying at this hotel for 10 years! It started on my daughter's 16th birthday and she just turned 26! We have several birthday's in December and we had the pleasure of celebrating our granddaughter's 8th birthday this past weekend. We were surprised with a note signed by several of the hotel team members, candy and chips in our room. It was really thoughtful. Our check in experience was very welcoming, our room was extremely clean and well maintained. The pillows and bed is incredibly comfortable which is important after a long day of walking! The breakfast is ALWAYS excellent and we typically skip lunch because of it. Thank you for another great stay in a great location.

My husband and I arrived extremely early, and at reception was Henry, with his Xmas 🎄 cheer and smile like no other ! He so graciously let us check in early, and he truly started my special birthday in NYC with so much kindness!! Minutes after Maria, the welcome was incredible, meeting Kareem, June… all assets to Homewood Suites!! Great location, super breakfast, and the staff during breakfast, all the assistance. Super hotel and excellent staff. Thank you for looking after us during our special stay. Highly recommended. Bravo !!

Good location , large rooms, walk in stand-up shower, almost a full size refrigerator and a Two burner electric stove top good for heating up meals, they have wifi but did not give me the access code. In the Morning at like 830am the lobby was standing room only trying to get free breakfast offered but it was much too crowded barely could walk from the elevator to the street exit, they should relocate breakfast elsewhere if this is the norm or get breakfast take back to your room to eat then check out.

Love the location of this hotel, so close to everything. We were doing a mother-daughter trip, so we got the suites with the kitchenette and it was plenty of room for 6 girls and then 5 moms! Breakfast was very good, lots of options!

We were so excited for our first sudden and unplanned visit to New York. We found this hotel to be the best location for our visit. The hotel lobby is nice and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms look nice, but we had several unreported issues. The walls must be super thin as we heard our neighbors on either side. There was loud banging and slamming of furniture. We thought there was work being done. The people upstairs could be heard running and banging things on the floor. It made it hard to enjoy our stay. The bathroom exhaust did not work, so the room filled with steam during our showers. We had to keep the door open during our showers. The bathroom sink was badly clogged and would fill while washing hands/face. It took a very long time to drain. The bathroom tissue was awful. It was so rough. We stayed three nights and our room was only serviced after our first night. Which would have been fine if we were told it wouldn't be serviced. We came back late at night to discover no service. We ran out of bathroom tissue our last night there. The worse part of our stay was the beds. They were awful! I woke several times throughout the night as i coukd not get comfortable. I woke every morning in pain. It was very disappointing. The free daily breakfast was nice. The staff in the breakfast area were so nice and friendly. They were very helpful. The staff almost make up for everything else. I can't say enough good things about the staff!

The staff was friendly and eager to help, especially Justin and Anna. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day. A fully equipped kitchen made us comfortable to cook our food when bored eating out. The hotel provides coffee, hot chocolate, and tea 24 hours in the lobby. Every Wednesday, they also provide soup, salad, and cookies in the lobby for us to take as much as we like We got the american standard breakfast, but the food could have been more exciting since they provided the same menu every day. Overall we were very happy and comfortable during our stay.

Very nice place to stay. Breakfast was good and the hotel is spacious. Staff were nice. The room was nice (except the sofa bed was dirty; had crumbs and such). The location is cool; there’s a 24/7 PingPod right across the street, a cool thing to find in New York. The location is within walking distance of many tourist attractions.

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be disappointed.

Clean, tasty breakfast, & comfortable bed. Not as strong of a police presence in the area like Midtown Manhattan. There is a regular presence of homeless individuals 50ft or so from the entrance. My check in experience was so so. Front desk staff could use a boost in their greeting and interaction with guest. However you will get a warm greeting from random members of the staff in the lobby/eating area. It is unfortunate though their interactions with you are a little disingenuous. They want to sign you up for a travel program or something. Lastly, our room was suppose to have been a little over 300 sq ft and I really question if it was based off the square footage of other hotels in the area we have stayed in. It was a decent size though.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very centrally located to all of the activities we had planned while in the city. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful and they texted us multiple times during our 3 night stay to check on us and to make sure all was well. We have not experienced that with other Hilton properties and it was a nice touch. The room was very clean and had more room than we expected for a room in NYC. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety and they did a great job of replenishing during busy periods. We will definitely stay here again when we return!
