I’m a Hyatt Globalist & have stayed at Hyatt’s all over the world - never felt inclined to leave a review until now! The staff at Park South Hotel were a delight, and really made my stay that much more special. Krystal, who checked me in, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Chris, the bellman, was courteous and cheerful every time I saw him. There were numerous other staff I did not catch the names of - but all of them were outstanding. I received a complimentary room upgrade & they even left me a personalized note with some biscuits in my room. This will definitely be my go-to Hyatt in NYC going forward!

Stayed here in December and had a wonderful time. Our room came with two double beds, and a desk and it was still spacious. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The people at the front desk were very gracious and accommodating. Our bellman Chris Ortiz was especially pleasant and helpful. This is definitely my go to place anytime I visit New York and will seek out more Hyatt hotels when I travel.

Nice Hyatt property in a great area of NYC with close proximity to the Subway (half a block away) and near an abundance of amenities. Staff at check in and front door are friendly and helpful. Rooms (at least my room) are very small and boxlike, though not unexpected in NYC. The sound wasn’t great - my room was near the elevator and I could hear the ring every time someone got off at my floor, and additionally my toilet and air conditioner kept making loud noises - though managed to sleep comfortably. The bar and restaurant downstairs was nice. They give you free drink tickets at check in which are good for a very limited selection of beer or wine at the cafe in the front. Overall enjoyed the stay here and would consider staying again on future trip to city.

Decent stay at the hotel. The front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. The room itself was a little small and dated, but comfortable enough for what we needed. The beds were very comfy and everything was clean. I wish the lighting in the room is a bit brighter. The area where the second bed and the wardrobe are is a bit dark, so it was hard to iron clothes when we needed to. The American restaurant there wasn’t a good experience, the food wasn’t the best and the staff there was rude. There is a lot to do in the area though and is in a great location. Overall, just a decent stay. I’ve had better experiences, but wouldn’t be opposed to staying here again.

The staff here is sooo incredibly kind! We brought our daughter for her first NY experience and she truly felt like the most important person. The sweet doorman, Chuck, was precious with her and she felt so special. Cozy beds, great shower pressure and a very cool rooftop bar/restaurant!! It’s a NY hotel, so the rooms are small, it is a little loud outside but I’ve stayed all over the city and it’s on par with other hotels general noise level. Near some great restaurants and a sweet park for kiddos!

Clean and quiet rooms in an excellent central location. The staff was very helpful and the doorman, Chuck, went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay.

The first room they put me in faced an air conditioning unit and was quite noisy which would have probably been OK for just one night, but I asked to move and was moved to a much nicer and bigger room on the top floor, which I was very happy with for my 5 day stay! The rooms were spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should - fast Wi-Fi, good shower pressure, comfy bed, no street noise or internal noise whatsoever. Staff were always very friendly and happy to help. I didn't have breakfast but there's a popular bagel shop next door which I went to a couple of times which was very good, plus a few other good restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance. The rooftop bar was good too, and I got given a couple of drinks tokens to enjoy there. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York!

What a gem Park South is. We stayed 7 nights. All the staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you. Rooms are clean, spacious with comfortable beds. Good bathrooms with shower & bath. AC is noisy but I've never stayed anywhere with a quiet one. Incredible on site restaurants with excellent food including a wood fired pizza. Excellent cocktail & sushi bar. Both high quality & popular so you may need to book.

Stayed for 5 nights in August with a friend. Nothing not to like about this hotel. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Felt that they really wanted to go the extra for you. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant on the ground floor did amazing pizza and the roof restaurant/bar was fabulous too. Great location for exploring the city. Would definitely return to this hotel again - why choose any other!

We had a great stay! Clean, spacious room and bathroom. What really sets Park South apart is it's attention to detail and customer service. Barbara Rosa from the front desk made our stay delightful. She went above and beyond suggesting excellent places to eat, subways to use, and just made us feel at home. She was very warm and it was nice chatting with her. The doormen and other staff were equally inviting. And always smiling! Highly recommend a stay here. Location was perfect as it was central for everything we wanted to see. After a long day of walking and sightseeing it was nice to come back to wonderful accommodations. Thank you Park South! Thank you Barbara!

The front desk staff was incredible: kind and super helpful. The rooms were a bit small, but i highly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Mr. Chuck was simply the best. He treated us as family. He arranged our transportation back to Penn Station. I highly recommend and can't wait to be back for another visit.

Clean, quiet and friendly staff. A truly elegant place. With the decor, quality, and cleanliness I just couldn’t believe it wasn’t a 5 star hotel. The staff were extremely professional, treated you like royalty and very helpful. Personal shout out to Chuck, the door gentleman. He made us feel at home. Definitely staying here again!

My stay was OK not great. The hotel has a nice location and kind staff. The issue was with the room. Little details with the aesthetics of it. There were paint marks on the walls and other locations that makes it look somewhat cheap. It was an expensive stay. Luxury is in the details. Beds were comfortable. Room was quite.

We had a beautiful spacious room with wonderful service. Especially from Chuck and Carl. They were so knowledgeable about the city and also the history of the hotel and always friendly and happy to help. This was an above and beyond stay. Thank you.

I had a fabulous stay at this wonderful hotel - it’s clean, the rooms are beautiful, and the staff is the most friendly and helpful I have come across. In fact, when I realized I had left my sunglasses in the lobby a few minutes after leaving for the airport, Carl immediately sent them out via FedEx to me. I will not hesitate to stay here again and again.

Stayed here during Thanksgiving and it is the best place! Excellent price and location. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very nice. Can’t say enough great things about the staff here, especially the doormen. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Park South in August and had a wonderful experience. Great food, exceptional service from all employees we interacted with. Although the rooms are on the smaller size, the amazing service makes us go back. When a bellman walks a block carrying your bag to get you a cab, it is just superior service period.

Stayed with a friend for a two-week vacation, in a room with two double beds. The room was clean, in good shape, and surprisingly spacious (closet space is limited though). The staff are excellent, and housekeeping is amazingly prompt. The hotel is also in a great location, within walking distance of much of midtown Manhattan and with easy access to the 6 train. City noise was noticeable but not ridiculous. Our room faced 27th St., so an interior room would probably be quieter. Overall this is a fantastic hotel! I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely return.

This was my teen daughter's first trip to NYC and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to stay! She literally has been talking about this trip for two years (thanks Covid!), so I wanted it to be perfect for her. The rooftop bar was closed during the winter and we didn't get to experience the restaurant due to other plans, but the whole staff was so incredibly nice and helpful. I have never seen a staff who seemed genuinely happy to be at their jobs. Chris and the other bellmen made a fantastic first impression and Melvin, Carl, Krystal (?) carried that through at the front desk. While in the lobby, we saw return guests being hugged by the staff and overheard another guest tell the staff that this had been the best hotel experience they'd ever had in NYC. We hope to make this NYC trip an annual event and, of course, will never stay anywhere else. Kudos to everyone!

More the standard of a 2.5 or 3 star hotel because from experience this hotel cannot and should not be referenced as a 4 star. The rooms are average at best. There is a jail cell window in the rooms. The bathrooms are old and outdated with white shower curtains touching the toilettes…

We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our stay at Park South. We especially enjoyed everyone who worked at the hotel. Chuck greeted us everyday with a smile and was helpful with any of our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

I just returned from this hotel and really enjoyed my stay here. Checked in for 2 nights for a work trip and was so pleased with the great staff, lovely staff, rooftop bar and Sweetbriar restaurant. The baristas are so nice and the complimentary coffee was a great touch. Francesca went above and beyond to help me with some work prep. The front door staff are the heart and soul of the hotel. The head of engineering stepped in to help me with my bags and was just a wonderful guy. The location is outstanding. My only advice to this great property is to upgrade the streaming capability on the TVs and to consider some mattress toppers. Other than that, well done!

We had the absolute best weekend at this hotel - the room was clean and very nice, location was ideal, and the service was EXCELLENT!! Chris Ortiz in particular made sure we were always taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect stay. We will definitely be coming back!! Thank you Chris and the rest of the Park South staff for a perfect weekend.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was unbelievably helpful with everything, especially Mohammad! He always seemed a step ahead knowing what we needed. They were always so friendly and seemed to genuinely appreciate us being there. The hotel was clean, near lots of good food and felt very safe. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, good location, friendly front desk staff and comfortable bed. Small room but not unusual by New York standards. Only issue was I could hear my neighbors’ conversations through the wall, as well as music from the rooftop bar. I put on some white noise and still got a good nights sleep, but keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.

Centrally situated for a lot of things, walking distance from Madison Square Garden. Also very close to subway stations. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bar staff more eager to clear up than to serve drinks. Rooms very clean and beds exceptionally comfortable.

The hotel was above and beyond my expectations! It was at a very convenient location (near all the popular destinations in Manhattan). The room was spotless and pristine! The staff were attentive to our needs and provided us with 5-star service! I wholly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting/staying in NYC! I look forward to staying at this hotel when I return to NYC!

I had a lovely stay at Park South! The rooms were clean and a decent size for 2 people and the staff were extremely helpful. I would like to call out a few exceptional staff members - Yaya and Brian at the front desk were extremely knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. The doormen were very nice and the housekeeping staff was really lovely as well. This hotel is near the train and very close to good restaurants. I will definitely be back!

Let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel is the best I have ever seen throughout my travels, and I have been to a lot of places. Miss Krystal, Alexander, and Brian at the front desk, all the bellmen and housekeeping staff are amazing, friendly, and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is excellent. The room I booked was the smallest one but it was sufficient for me and I had all the amenities I needed. The location of the hotel is super convenient. It's half a block away from the subway line nr 6, and about 3 blocks from the R line, both of which I used multiple times during my stay. Safe neighborhood with great restaurants and cafes. The Empire State Building, Madison Square Park, Union Square, and the Flatiron Building are all within walking distance, as well as the Harry Potter store and Friends Experience. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I will definitely be back very soon!

My friend and I stayed at Park South when visiting New York a month ago and I would definitely re-visit. We got there much earlier than the check-in time for an extra fee they were able to get us a room right away; the rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable, the only thing was that you can hear people talking out in the halls and also the coffee machine was not good. Also, I wish they would refill the water bottles in the room instead of having to keep asking for them. I read prior reviews that the rooms are small as expected in Manhattan but it’s not as small as I imagined and had no issues with the size. The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful with everything. We had to ask directions back to the airport after we left and the gentleman at the front was very helpful and even printed out the directions for us. The gentlemen at the front entrance of the hotel were also very nice. The rooftop bar was also very nice, however, a bit on the pricier side. It was in a great location as well, perfectly central, close to a lot of things and a 2 min walk from the nearest subway station. It also wasn’t loud or anything outside the hotel. Overall, I definitely recommend it and would stay again next time I’m in New York. Thanks for a great stay!

Really nice and clean hotel with small rooms; but if you’re in NYC and you know that going in then it’s fine. Only thing I didn’t like, was the security aspect of having to tap your keycard to access your floor on the elevator never was working. A feature im a fan of. Everything else was fine, however. I even like the “electronic” button of pushing room occupied to let housekeeping know, instead of the old fashion door hang.

I had a really nice stay at Park South Hotel... the location is really convenient, the room was clean and comfy--including pillow options in terms of softness! I love the little library nook to have a coffee or a glass of wine! Finally, the staff was very helpful and friendly... Brian and Brad both went out of their way to help me--thank you both!
