If I could give them zero stars I would. The place was completely disgusting. Stains on the bed sheets, there was only one sheet and no comforter. 2 pillows that were lifeless. Front desk was rude. Mildew in the bathroom. I told the front desk I would not be staying and I wanted a refund. They said to have the place where I booked it contact them and they would refund me. Now they’re saying based on their policy they won’t. I spent NO time in that room. I checked in at 1 am and checked out at 2am. I was only there trying to figure out how to cancel and get my money back. They should be shut down. The area was sketchy af. I will never make another booking without reading reviews first. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER.

The location is good. Subway station just a couple of minutes walk. Most of the staff was kind and helpful. So, two stars for that. BUT this place is not clean at all. There's hair everywhere you look in the room. Stains on the walls and on the sheets and towels. No housekeeping on a daily basis, only upon request. That wouldn't be a problem if the rooms were clean, but it was just a mess. It's clear that they'll operate this hotel just to cash easy money.

Good value for money. Hotel price was commensurate to what the room provided - a straightforward clean room, comfortable bed with clean sheets, sufficient space for six luggage, hot shower, TV with cable subscription, an air conditioning unit that can also switch to a heater, a cabinet for a few pieces of clothing, and a big enough table for your belongings. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the Subway station; and just a few stops from the heart of Manhattan. I also enjoyed the coffee and bagels from the nearby coffee shop.

For our trip to NYC for Christmas, I figured we weren’t going to be spending very much time in our hotel, we just needed a place to sleep and keep our stuff so we went with The Voyage to save money. WOW… cigarette burns in the bedsheets, bags of trash were left in the hallway the entire weekend, layers of dust everywhere. But those are all fine compared to the BLOOD spatter on the walls. It was really unsettling to think what happened in that room before we stayed there along with the health hazards of being exposed to random blood. I tried to reach out to the hotel management via email (the email on the website is inactive and front desk gave me a different email which is super sketchy) and got zero response. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY HERE EITHER. The hotel staff and owners clearly don’t care, if they did they’d be taking steps to clean the hotel and actually respond to their emails instead of just apologizing on poor reviews - all to make future customers feel like they care. The staff and management have NO standards. There’s other options in the area, find another hotel. If you don’t mind trash and blood and ridiculously flat pillows, it’s a reasonable walk to the subway but I would recommend taking a taxi or Uber if it’s late. Hotel is a few blocks off the main Ave and we didn’t feel comfortable walking back at night as the area is a bit sketchy.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with this hotel here. I stayed in a "deluxe" room in that hotel during my vacation for 6 days between October 26, 2022 and November 1, 2022. I booked the room because the price seemed reasonable for New York and the location is not too far from Manhattan. However, the room was disappointingly dirty and dusty, and there were bugs on the floor, which looked like cockroaches. Every single evening when I came in and turned on the lights they were crawling on the floor. I have not expected perfect quality of this hotel and was just looking for a modest place to sleep during my trip. However, sharing a room with insects is just a no-go. Reading the other reviews now, I can see that other guests complained about the same issue as well. I suppose if the room has been just kept clean regularly there would have been no bugs. Even though the hotel price was o.k. in comparison to other hotels in New York, I still cannot rate this place with more than one star. There are just certain basic things such as bugs which are not acceptable. I can't recommend that hotel to anybody. Better stay away.

Horrible! The hotel needs to shut down ASAP! Dirty towels, bedsheets dirty, wall, bathroom, the whole room was dirty. These housekeepers must be family because they getting free money to do absolutely nothing. A blind person could've cleaned the room better than these people do. Never ever ever again

This place is filthy. They're not cleaning the rooms. They're NOT sweeping the rooms. The walls are nasty. The shower walls needs to be cleaned. The toilet needs to be scrubbed. AND THE BED LINENS ARE ATROCIOUS. Anddddddd make sure you have cash for the deposit because they don't accept cards. They tell you to use their shaddy atm that charges you.

CAN WE SAY REFUND!!!!!! Honestly doesn’t even deserve a half star! The pictures posted to promote this hotel are complete lies. Nobody should walk into their hotel room and feel dirty..but I did!!!! Sheets were dirty, went and asked for new sheets and were still stained with god knows what along with the little throw pillow for the bed, 100% dissatisfied. Oh yea, the paint on the walls were scratched, floors were not swept so clearly housekeeping is trash!! Ohhhhh and the curtains were in bad shape but that was the least of my concern. Refrigerator was also leaking, when opening it the entire block of ice fell from the freezer. No washcloths or complimentary coffee set up in room or microwave. Only certain outlets worked in the room and only one nightstand on one side of the bed. This is one of the blandest most unseasoned hotel I’ve ever been to and to be honestly many motels would have topped this hotel any day!! Overall just a very very uncomfortable experience and place to spend even 2 seconds let alone 3 nights. 1000% wouldn’t recommend!!!!!

If I could rate this hotel 0 stars I would! This hotel is so disgusting. Reception staff told us they do not clean before or after each guest. Towels were stained brown, hair all over the floor and bathroom. Bedding was disgusting and covered in hair and bugs. No blankets or fitted sheets to cover mattress. ABSOLUTETLY DISGUSTING AND SO DIRTY.

located in a dangerous neighborhood. Bathroom is okay, bedding and sheets however, are gross. The cover is old, dirty, smelly, not only has a few burn holes, but blood stains and other nasty stains. Front desk Indian guy is very rude, should be fired. The hotel asks for $60 cash deposit, credit card isn’t allowed, which is so sketchy. I saw a guy who had bathroom issues arguing with front desk, he was very unprofessional and rude, worst front desk I ever met. This hotel should be closed for sure, I want a refund

Okay so there is a reason that I have given this hotel a 4, it because you cannot expect to pay under 100 dollars a night in New York and get a 5 star, this is a decent hotel for the price, I personally stayed here for about 6 Nights which was a long span, and liked the stay pretty much, this place has a small queen sized bed, a fridge, decent size TV, Very good Air conditioning and the bathroom has a tub so what else can you ask for in that price range, there is an amazing Mexican breakfast house right below the hotel and there is another American breakfast place which is about a 5 minute walk, There is ample of Parking around the place and the closest subway station is about 15 min walk. Staff is also pretty humble and generous.

Stay away from this Hotel! They have bed bugs! I checked in around 9pm and left 5am. My friend's arm started itching and when we lift up the cover we saw bed bugs. I spoke to the person in charge and he didn't help us at all. I emailed all the evidence and I got no response. I gave them a chance to make things right but they are very unprofessional for not reaching back. This is a warning to everyone. I wish I can post pictures here but it doesn't give me the option.

This is, without a doubt, the most disgusting, horrendous hotel I have ever seen in my life, and probably ever will see. The reviews are bad, and so I didn’t expect much - I’ve stayed in many questionable places around the world and am not easily bothered. What a terrible mistake I made. It took them three tries to send me to a room that had actually been cleaned since the last guests left, and the “clean room” was stomach churning. No surfaces had been cleaned, hair all over the bathroom, questionable, sticky stains throughout the room, large patches of mold growing in corners, strips of ceiling ripped off and dangling, and a mattress stained with urine and blood, thinly covered by a poorly fitted top sheet and musty coverlet, both covered in cigarette burns. I asked for assistance and was given another mildew-infested top sheet. I didn’t want to risk moving to a room with bedbugs, which seemed to be common per the reviews, so I ended up buying my own bedding and cleaning supplies. Do not stay here if you value your health and your dignity.

Disgusting Experience at The Voyage Hotel I recently stayed at The Voyage Hotel with my wife to celebrate my birthday on June 1, 2023, and I must say it was a truly disappointing experience. We made the mistake of booking the cheapest rate available at the time, and we paid the price for it. From the moment we entered Room 311, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority for the hotel. The walls were filthy and had noticeable patches where the painting had started and abruptly stopped. It was as if the painter had given up halfway through the job. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. But the worst part was the state of the mirrors and windows. It seemed like they had been wiped with a dirty rag, leaving behind streaks and smudges. It was incredibly off-putting to see our own reflections marred by the lack of cleanliness. It made us question the overall hygiene standards of the hotel. As someone who appreciates a clean and comfortable stay, I was deeply disappointed by the condition of the room. It's disheartening to pay for accommodation only to be greeted by such subpar conditions. I understand that we booked the cheapest rate, but cleanliness should not be compromised regardless of the price. I contacted the hotel management to express my concerns, but their response was unsatisfactory. They did not seem genuinely concerned about the state of the room or eager to rectify the situation. It left me feeling undervalued as a guest. I strongly urge potential guests to reconsider staying at The Voyage Hotel. While the price may be tempting, the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail make it an unpleasant experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their standards, as no guest deserves to endure such a disappointing stay.

Terrible. TLDR; rooms are disgusting, not cleanly, sometimes even missing amenities. Hard to get in contact with staff. You had to leave your room to call them in spite your schedule. But if you move to slow they try to take your deposit. Bring a $60 cash deposit, if not you'll use their ATM and then they'll charge you a fee on their ATM. AND IT REEKS OF CIGARETTES I came here assuming that this was a lowkey place was surrounded by bigger hotels and was not given a shot. Boy did I think wrong. I asked cleaning staff to come to room and look at what is was staying in. No one came. Called the front desk and for help and it rang. After seeing this, I was only here because the room was non refundable. Upon checking out, there was bit of delay on my end. The delay on my end with significant because I have to pack up the cleaning supplies, they then threatened to take my deposit for it. I am more than aware that everyone who works here has a job that they are doing, and I try to be respectful of it. But then seen the quality of this place, seeing that floors were cleaned once in the three days I was here unfortunately to then finding the gall to threaten to take my deposit because I didn't move fast enough for them is despicable. Even with things like these I don't say anything, I try to be understanding. I am aware that the staff at the desk are not regularly in the rooms to see the condition of the rooms, sometimes they are just not aware. But then to find the gall to threaten to take my deposit after I opened door to show them all that I had to pack is insane. I'm currently standing in their lobby by their guest elevator and there is a wire hanging out of the ceiling. Do not come here if you can avoid it. If you have a little bit extra money book hotel Nirvana or some other place that is in less than a mile of this one.

The room is small, but yo be honest, it is WAY nicer than the larger rooms I've stayed in at other hotels in the area. It's practically brand new here. The bed is really comfortable. The TV is wall mounted forna much better viewing experience. The lighting in the room is fantastic. Must hotels have very minimal lighting available. This hotel has lighting in the ceiling and a lamp on the desk. Has a mini fridge as well no microwave though my only complaint. Could only bring cold food back to the hotel since there is no microwave. Still have this place five stars since it's the nicest I've been to on Queens, but not the nicest I've ever been to on my life.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This hotel was converted to a homeless shelter at the height of the pandemic and was never restored. A nightmare from the word go. I felt like I was in a horror movie. Holes and stains in the walls and sheets, the chair was broken, the curtain was falling down, literally nothing was acceptable, even at a bargain price. I walked out immediately.

Hi . I went to this hotel 8/27 for a bday weekend celebration with my best friend . We get to the hotel and have to leave a $100 deposit which was cool . We get to our room and there were stains on the walls and used toilet paper . On top of that the sheets had blood spots and yellow stains . We called booking.com which is the site we used to book our stay . They suggested that the staff give us a new room. We went down and they switched our rooms to another room down the hall . When we entered that room we pulled the sheets to check for cleanliness to find a bed bug laying in the middle of the bed along with spots of blood on the sheets and bigger yellow stains on the sheets . We packed our belongings and went to the front desk and we got the $100 deposit back and we asked about a refund because we refused to stay in a hotel that was completely filthy . We wanted to speak to a manager but the guy working at the time said he was not available . I would never suggest anyone staying here. Just spend a little more money for a much cleaner place because it’s seems that sometimes the cheaper hotels aren’t so clean .

It was so Horrible and terrifying we just could not stay in room it was so dirty. Flies with viruses all over the room that with other little tiny bugs had no clue what they were. The entire room was filthy dirty The toilet looks like it has not been clean the towels were dirty sheets had stains or they were not cleaned and washed. AC unit not working properly and the air filter has not been cleaned when the air blew it had this funky smell. .when we checked in after we left time square we had to check right back out. We are from Pennsylvania and we were on a family vacation. Hotels.com did not refund out money the hotel did not refund our money we were stuck with a bill from a hotel that we didn’t even stay at. We had to find another hotel at 1 o’clock in the morning and it was so hard because it’s was Saturday and everyone was sold out at that time of the price so was out my price range we drove home at 2:38am. We missed a whole vacation day of plans because hotels.com couldn’t put us in a different hotel or the This hotel would not refund my money back.

Disgusting! I deserve a full refund and I get hotel policies but they're also providing something that is unacceptable! Trust me it's worse in person! I left. Especially after hearing someone complain about having dirty bed sheets and front desk just gave him a new pair? Like what kind of service is that!?

This place should be shut down . Absolutely disgusting. The room had a huge whole in the wall. The walls were so dirty. And the room is even smaller in person. The towels and sheets were dirty. People were arguing all night in the room next to us and the front desk refused to do anything. 1 star is even to much .

Do you like horror movies ? Do you want to feel like you are inside a crack house ? Do you want a chance to feel homeless ? Come to Hotel Voyage ! A place where everyone feels poor and homeless ! Ask about the special bed bug rooms they are the best thing about the hotel... Right now I am enjoying laying in someone else's hair and blood.. Enjoy

The hotel should close. Dirt, stink, noise. The fact that no one took out the trash and didn't change the towels all week was the least problem. The room was disgusting upon arrival. The worst housing, what we experienced. Untidy room. Dirty mattress. He changes the sheets with the rest of the food.

Hotel was fine to crash in. My room was clean but I didn’t look in the shower as I was staying for one night. Pillows smelled weird (metallic smell). Hallways were pretty dirty and you could tell they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Hotel is located in industrial area so you have to walk for a while to get to restaurants, etc. CitiBike station is only a couple of blocks away.

The location is great. 10 minute walk to the station, only a 15-20 minute subway ride to Manhattan. Great view from window, lots of delis near by. Due to covid, they are not offering room service. The room was a little dusty, but there were no bed bugs (which I was terrified about after reading some reviews). The cash deposit was very clearly stated on the website I used to book the hotel. Rooms are a little small but still very spacious. It's NYC, all rooms are going to be small. In Manhattan, they're even smaller.

I will never go back to that unprofessional and mold hotel. I provided pictures of the mold and disgust if that hotel. I was requesting full refund back, unfortunately I’m not able to retrieve my funds. The smoke inhalation I encountered caused me to check out early amongst other disturbing factors. False advertisement and unprofessional rooms. It’s more like a half way house to recovering addicts than hotel. This is not good news.

THIS PLACE IS VERY SMALL AND DISGUSTING‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️The chair in the room was dirty, stains on the walls and on the sheets ,smells so bad I ask the guy at the front desk to change my room because it smells and he said all the rooms are booked so I can’t change rooms he was tryna give me a bug spray to use as a air freshener😑honestly the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!

For the price you can't beat it!! And service is great, though my room the AC didn't work, didn't bother to contact house keeping as I was only staying for 9 hours, but overall a decent experience.

Horrible. Room given was dingy. Horrible guest service. Hairs all over the tub. Pee stains on toilet seat. Hairs on the bed sheet. Smells like ashtray. Front desk guy was rude when we asked for a different room or refund. He said” no other room, I am doing everything by myself right now” I insist on refund & he gave us a not so dingy room this time. It was pouring that night, we got flooded hence we need a place to stay @ hotels nearby are fully booked but given a choice I will definitely not stat in this place!

It was a great price for our long stay and the customer service was ok not bad but not great. Now for the overall stay its a solid 2 lol. Up on our first day my spouse and I had to find a store that sells cleaning products yes you heard me we had to got to store to buy cleaning products to clean the room. Lol never in my life I had to do that. There was hair on everything like floor ,walls sheets and towels. An for some reason when we ask for more towels the house keeper looked like they didn't want to give it us. There is no house keeping so you have to figure it out yourself. Its really took away that hotel feel for us and I couldn't wait for the vacation to be over. Oh and prepare to walk alot . Halfway in the stay we ran out toilet paper so we had to go buy that . Its sad cause the hotel looks very new . Smh but this hotel is now a red flag for me . If you can book somewhere else please do . This hotel is for emergency stay only like 1 night maybe 2 .

Easy check in although once I got up to my room , it was STINKING of cigarettes, there was no comforter on the bed and it was very very dirty . I had to go downstairs and ask for a room change which I’m happy that it went smoothly. My 2nd room wasn’t as bad but there was still a smoke smell and not entirely clean room , I also happened to lift the sheet , the mattress has dirty spots on it and burn holes . Not to mention that the area was a bit unsafe . I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable stay .

This place really needs to be closed. Is so dirty not only inside the room but outside in the lobby, elevator, hall... and the service was really rude, I was with my sister and the guy from the reception THREATENS US to charge from our credit card if we left the hotel when we didn't even have an hour in the room. Was really awful and scary. Also, when we get to the hotel, they say we have to pay in cash, but Booking (web) never had this comment in the add. They don't have room service but the place was really nasty. Just DON'T STAY HERE in case you have problems with mold.

Avoid this hotel! A definite lack of customer service skills. The staff were rude and went out of their way to be unhelpful. On my arrival after many hours of travelling I was desperate for the toilet and asked to use the bathroom before I checked in. My reply was “it’s locked”, hence I asked if I could go to my room and come back down to pay as the already had my card details. My reply was no and I was asked to try to pay through the tiniest of spaces in the desk window , I was unable to reach the buttons on the machine and was then asked to reach through with a pen which was almost impossible. At this point I said I would pay once I had been to the toilet, as which point he allowed me to use the hotel toilet which he had the key to but still insisted I pay through the tine hole. The area around the hotel did not feel safe , particularly at night. The room was poor and smelt fusty. The floor was dirty and I brought a pair of socks to walk on the floor. The bed had no pretty cover on the bed as in their photos just a white cover with cigarette burns in them. The bathroom was dirty and I cleaned out the bath myself as it was full of hair. I brought this up with the receptionist and was told you don’t get room service, but they would attend to it which never happened. I requested clean towels as they were small, thin and stained, I was told on three occasions they would change them but this did not happen. On my fourth request I was told that I wasn’t entitled to clean towels! Later I saw house keeping and exchanged my towels but was told I was not allowed a towel to place on the bathroom floor to avoid slips and falls. When we checked out we were told there was no storage room for our cases, despite there being a store room clearly marked!

No cleaning of the room for the duration of your stay. Bathroom really dirty, we found pubic hair on the towels, shower and on the floor. Bed was fine but small. Broken sink pipe on our room so we had to ask for extra towels and put them on the floor as the water was dropping. Staff was ok. Unfortunately no breakfast offered in the hotel. No isolation in the rooms, I could hear everyone exiting their rooms, talking or passing next to my room. It woke me up several times in the night. Even the elevator was so noisy. The area was ok

This place was recommended from my initial reservation at LA QUINTA which was all booked 2 miles from here. I didn't get a chance to scope out my room until I got back from time square. This room was not swept or mopped because all kinds of trash including hair were stuck on my socks. Baseboard was dirty. My room had drywall patches. Toilet was dirty and leaking from bathroom vent while raining. I had asked for a change of room the same day of my arrival and I was declined. I had to deal with this for 4 days.
