The front desk people need to learn to be more professional and polite to customers. They are so condescending and act like they're doing you a favor or you are lodged in prison. You can also hear a lot of noise from other tenants and the smell of weed kept seeping into my room. They will tell you they can't control what the other customers do when they could at least regulate these things to make the place feel just a little less than a brothel. You get what you pay for, but even for a payment that averaged about $100 a night, I deserved much better service. I am sure these reviews don't bother them as they're obviously in service due to the high demand of housing in NY, but yuck. Wil definitely never come back.

This place was so nasty that I get itchy just thinking about it. The room had pieces of trash and dust all over it like it hadn't been vacuumed in years. There were cigarettes in the (shared) toilet. It smelled like smoke everywhere. I'm 100% sure the beds/rooms are never cleaned. I got home and showered and scrubbed myself for like half an hour to feel clean again after leaving that place.

I picked this hotel because it was the cheapest private room I could find on short notice, so I didn't expect too much. Area seemed safe enough. Reception accomodated our very late arrival and was patient with us though adamant that we couldn't have more than 2 people in the room even for a couple hours visit, which I get. The room was run down but reasonably clean. There was cot in the room but no sheets for it. The shower temperature was hard to adjust but serviceable. The bathroom was probably the worst part; the light did not work and there was damage to the ceiling. In the end I do feel we got what we payed for and there was nothing deal-breaking about the place.

I don't care how cheap a place is I'm not paying a $200.00 cash room deposit. I was assured I would get my money back providing that there is no damage to the room, I'm sure that that is true but what goes on there that a 200.00 fee has to be imposed?

It is an old building it has very narrow corridors, to be honest it looks a bit scary but the location doesn't seem to be dangerous, I stayed here because I needed a cheap option to pass a night and all the other hotels were full. I think it is a bit overpriced for what you get. I got the room for two wich has a queen size bed not very confy a, small sink and a small TV. The bathroom is shared. I would recommend only if your budget is tight and there is no other option. There was no train station near the place so I had to commute using bus which wasn't much of a problem.

The lady that answers the phone for booking is the nastiest person I've spoken to in a loooooong time. I Chose to take my money else where just because of her not attitude over the phone.

Hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the staff was great. I stayed here for one night and it was exactly what I needed. I visit the city often, but rarely stay at hotels. I needed one that was close enough to Rockefeller, but not crazy on the price and this was the perfect one.

Absolutely appalling. Bathrooms had no soap or toilet paper. Didn't see any showers. Carpets on all floors smell like urine. The place is dirty and falling apart. To top it all off, it is right by the train which runs 24 hours. Forget a good night's sleep. I refused to stay here when I showed up and was refused a refund. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This place is not bad at all. And it's very affordable compared to other places it's clean old fashioned and the ladies at the desk are nice. The rooms are decent had cable and wifi. They just need to invest in new mattresses some are worn down. But other than that it quiet and comfortable.
