Do not stay here!!!! Listen to the reviews. Some of the experiences listed here didn’t deter me from booking, because I knew I wouldn’t be spending much time in the room. However, my experience was awful. Upon arriving we were greeted with the smell of stale cigarettes and cannabis. Our room wasn’t ready yet so we were told we could wait in the lobby. We went over to the seating area and it was absolutely disgusting, the couches were all torn, stained and smelt awful. The garbage in the lobby was overflowing and clearly unmaintained. When we finally got into the room, the smell unfortunately didn’t go away and the walls were covered in red splatters. There was food and garbage under the beds and the sheets and towels were stained. The bathtub was so dirty and there wasn’t any soap. We went down to the lobby to possibly get moved to a clean room, but the woman at reception didn’t understand English very well so we just decided to make do with the room we paid way too much money for. At night it is very noisy and you can hear everything. From people yelling outside, to people walking around and partying. All of this I could have dealt with and accepted but what happened on the last night is why I am writing this review. Around 4:30-5am a man was running around yelling and knocking on people’s room doors. The first knock woke me up and then when I looked out of the peep hole I saw he was going around to every room and trying to open doors. Later on, I heard a girl screaming and then loud music proceeded to play, after this we got up and checked out immediately. My stay was unpleasant and scary, I will not be returning and I strongly recommend you don’t book a room here or stay in this part of town.

First, when booking for early check in online the price was $15 dollar more but at the front desk we get charge $50 for early check in, we reserve a non-smoking floor, our room and the hallway smells like weed, the guest next door where fighting all night , yelling in the hallway and punching the walls, we call front desk nobody do anything about it, our room has hair in the bathroom everywhere in the sink, shower and floor. The towels where white but has stains brown so that was nasty, we also found eyelashes on top of the bed, the blanket was burned, also on the side of the bed it was dry puke so nasty, the phone wasn’t working either we left 2 hours after the check in, this is the nastiest room I ever stay.

Needed a clean, secure place to crash the night before flying out of JFK. This place was none of the above. Filthy, smelly. Hair on towels and sheets. Badly stained carpet and walls. Fixtures hanging on by a thread with exposed wires. Dirty tub. No internal door lock and safe wouldn't close (not that I trusted it anyway). Toilet broke in the middle of the night, but was too tired to deal with it right away. Went down to the front desk at sunrise to ask for help and he said I'd need to wait until 8am for a repairman. The lobby restroom is out of order and I asked the agent to let me use another room since I had to "go" plus I had a flight to catch. He YELLED at me extremely aggressively and insisted " I am NOT changing the room," (which is not even what I asked). A complete nightmare.

THIS PLACE HAS TO BE SHUT DOWN, I am writing this everyone who plan of staying here. DON’T GO , DON’T BOOK here. The hotel is not only rundown from all the bad horrible review if you pay attention then DON’T Go. This is a worst hotel, Let me share this to everyone who read this, check in time came and finally at 3:00 a staff came and I checked in she gave me room #1105 went to the room and I open it and a child with a mother was there occupying the room, i went down to the lobby and ask the staff that the room she gave me was still occupied no apology from her side the she gave me another key#1108. I went there open the room and a couple was on the bed and the man jump out asking who I am. I went down to the tiny lobby again and ask her what is wrong with them and cant they not know which room is vacant or what room is occupied. They have not apologize and the indian male staff is reallly rude instead of apologizing and improving their services theg wanted me to listen to them and not react. I was furious and i was scared to continue even to stay here, i Called a police on them and I found out They also had some complaints about the same thing before from a customer. THIS PLACE HAS TO BE SHUT DOWN, not only the disgusting rooms, Worst management and totally no customer knowledge at all, all the reviews here are true , a mother and daughter. they said the room was not cleaned meaning they dont clean at all . The thing also is the danger of this staff treating customers giving room keys at checked in but only to know that the is room is still occupied. You might be shot or be harm for entering a room without knowing it, the people are still occupying it. BE AWARE.! DON’T GO. Many that day customers also complained about parking, huh there is no parking!

Room wasn't really clean. Bed was very soft. Light fixture broken. Smoke detector in dresser, broken. Huge fight in lobby at 230 am. We were on first floor so anyone talking in lobby echoed the whole floor. Room was either cold if AC was on or hot if it wasn't. Couldn't regulate

This was honestly the worst place I have ever stayed at. The photos are not what you are paying for. The elevators smell horrible and they are extremely small. When I went to check in the service was borderline nonexistent; the woman at the reception left me mortified as she did not really know what she was doing and would disappear the two times I went downstairs trying to change my my reservation details. I ultimately left due to the fact that the room was horrible and literally broken down. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. The cabinets were broken and the lamp was broken as well. The sheets were barely made and they used the cheapest linens known to mankind. Once again do not stay here as you will regret it. It truly felt like a cheap motel and I will never stay here. I will try to show supporting photos.

Very horrible. The front desk lady was very rude and unprofessional. The room I stayed in was not cleaned and was full of nastiness. I had asked if the room as been cleaned and she rudely shouted “Yes! Why are you asking?” I should’ve taken that as a red flag but I let that pass. The ceiling in the bathroom above the shower was falling apart and you can see paint chips in the tub. The smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling with exposed wires. The outlet near the tv was obviously burned before because the faceplate itself was burned and they never thought to replace it. The furniture was barely staying together, I’m talking about broken hinges and loose supports. Very unprofessional and unsatisfactory for the prices they were charging.

It's an okay inn. Not lux but I guess it is an inn. They really need to change that stain up couch in the lobby. Very unattractive and disgusting. Other than the couch the lobby isn't bad. You get what you pay for even though it's a 132.00 room. Also please note the pictures are not recent and do not reflect the actual hotel at all! There's drawings on the wall and the area is in the heart of the ghetto!

This is by far the worst place I have ever "attempted" to stay, since soon after checking in, my family and I ran out of this place. Expedia.com was only able to give me a partial refund since the hotel declined to reimburse fees associated to the reservation. The area in which the property is located is definitely not the best and it can be scary at times... The hallways and elevators showed signs of poor cleanliness and or vandalism. The room we were assigned to(6002) smelled of smoke. The bed sheets were stained and some of the walls had dents and signs of abuse. The rug had a coke bottle cap and debris, which clearly showed proper cleaning was not conducted. Upon going downstairs, a staff member agreed to come up to the room and proceeded to spray the room with lysol and apologized for the inconvenience. He acknowledged the property is constantly vandalized and needs much improvement and stated it was his second day at work. I only write this review to help others avoid the same horrendous experience and loss of monies due to the lack of care and failed representation by the hotel and its management.

The most disgusting place we have ever stayed in. First checked in at the sister hotel which only exterior sign said OYO, when we booked, the hotel was called JFK Airport Hotel, but maps said this was the location. We went and checked in, the room was cramped and smelly. The walls were written on (like graffiti) and the bedspread was filthy and stained. Upon walking into the bathroom the shower basin was black from filth. Went back down to see if we could move rooms in which there was no one at the front desk but a sign saying go next door for assistance. We walk next door and end up checking into a room there, again the walls were stained, written on, and very thin (could hear people talking/moving all night) sheets dirty, there was broken tile in the bathroom, overall absolutely disgusting. A woman we met in the lobby had checked in earlier and was on her way back in after leaving to buy cleaning supplies. The staff was nice enough, but if you have any sense, DO NOT STAY HERE! Also the payment charge is listed as a completely different hotel, very off.

This place was absolutely filthy, I’ll have to burn my clothes when I get home. 5 times I asked them to turn the heat on and they do that by switch per room. The bathroom was disgusting, half used bar of dirty soap in the shower, the toilet seat was falling off, the blankets has cigarette burns all over them. Phones don’t work and the staff just don’t care as long as they got their money. I was stranded due to canceled flights and had no choice and for $198.00 I expected different, boy was I wrong. The side walk out front had empty wine bottles and discarded syringe's. Stay here at your own risk!

If I could give this place 0 starts, I would. My boyfriend and I walked it and right in the bathroom was a huge roach. The bed had cigarette holes, the walls had cigarette burns, the walls were written on. It smells like cigarettes. It felt like a jail cell. This place is DISGUSTING. PLEASE BOOK ELSEWHERE!

STAY AWAY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! I’m not stay here yet but after I listen to the all bad reviews here. I abruptly cancel my reservation from this hotel. I would can not handle with what experience this hotel will provide. I feels like all good reviews from people that hotel owner hires to put the great reviews up the rate but not what visitor found in real hotel.

Like everyone else I was stranded from a canceled flight and needed a place to crash. As soon as my Uber got close I knew I messed up. Outside is scary, inside isn’t much better. Everything inside is filthy. I don’t know if they bought or stole the things in the room. Towels has best western tags and the phone is from wingate. Could hear every interaction in the lobby from my room and even the people next door showering. I had a beautiful view of a back parking covered in empty beer bottles. Closet had broken plastic hangers from a department store. No soap in the bathroom, but there’s lotion? Empty tissue container. For some reason the bathtub was still covered in water like someone just stepped out of the bath right before we walked in. Screaming all night outside of the rooms. If you need a place to go last minute like most people that stay here, look somewhere else

Absolutely disgusting. The whole place smelled like cigarette smoke, there was a bag super glued over my smoke detector, the ac had mold in it, no soap in the bathroom, the toilet was stopped when I arrived. The only good thing about this place was the convenient location of the J and the Ave a few blocks away.

Stayed here because I was passing through for a night, the first room they assigned me I guess house keeping cleared it to be clean went in beer cans everywhere went back to the front desk the clerk had no problem changing it. Second room she had assigned was as well messy she still had no issue to changing the room again third time was the charm the room was fairly clean, I’d probably give them another chance plus the price wasn’t half bad.

Geographic location very nice…subway station is really close to go anywhere. Neighborhood was just ok. Reception was also just ok building wise, but it definitely needs renovation and new furniture. Room was ok bed wise and not a lot of noise coming from outside or other rooms, but soap dispensers were not working or did not have soap and they were never replenished. Room phone did not work either. For the price in NY, it’s ok. Also, the hotel address was incorrect but the Le Tap is now a shelter of some kind. They accommodated in the Airport Plaza, and this description refers to that hotel. Customer service was good.

You get what you pay for. It isn’t advertised as a luxurious hotel. Everything was how it should be nothing out of the ordinary inn at that price. Clerk was professional, easy going. Didn’t find anything wrong with my room. No foul smell no stains everything was as it should have been.

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! Do yourself a favor and just pay the extra money to stay ANYWHERE but here. Where do I even begin? I stayed here with my mother recently. The hotel rooms are filthy. Even the couch in the lobby was nasty 🤢Our toilet stopped up and the desk clerk told me to use a plunger. They didn't even have a maintenance person to come look at it. 🙄Finally, when the bathroom flooded they changed our room. We were in a wheelchair accessible room where one of the bars fell off of the wall. Lol The bed was stained. The floor was filthy. No one came around to clean room or even take out the trash. I guess they wait until you are checked out to clean it because they are too cheap to accommodate guests staying there more than one night. I asked if the front desk clerk could at least give me a trash bag because at this point our trash was overflowing and she couldn't even do that. Worst stay I've ever had anywhere. Even the cheapest of motels are better than this place. Don't be fooled by the cute pics on their website

If it could rate this place lower I would. So first we were put into a room that OBVIOUSLY wasn’t cleaned at all. Someone’s food in the fridge someone used dirty wash cloths in the tub along with a lot of other things so we switch rooms. The next room is still kinda funky but it’s livable I have Lysol wipes so it’s fine I guess. I wake up for this free breakfast and oh it turns out they don’t do that anymore, even though it’s advertised on the website that they do and still charge extra for. So basically I paid 200 dollars to stay in a dirty room the size of a closet. I recommend that absolute no one stay here.

I will never stay here again....they should rename this place Le Trap or Le Trash. My room had blood in the dresser. I don't recall booking the murder suite. Yikes
