😐 It’s a great place to go with great effective doctors but the reception team needs to be cleaned up all the way. Also they require TOO MUCH information and they want to know too much about why you’re there, they should know they’re not doctors or nurses but receptionist/customer service, nothing els... People often mention front, appointment, desk, rude, child, women, staff,

It’s a great place to go with great effective doctors but the reception team needs to be cleaned up all the way. Also they require TOO MUCH information and they want to know too much about why you’re there, they should know they’re not doctors or nurses but receptionist/customer service, nothing else. This one guy and older lady at the front are both okay. The rest need training. Otherwise I love it here. Best healthcare professionals.

First let me start off by saying the doctors/providers are wonderful, very helpful and kind. However, be ready to wait at least 2-3 hours in there (appointment or not!). Staff has no sense of urgency whatsoever, they talk about what’s for lunch right in front of you. Last year, I made a complaint about the front desk woman who answered the phone. They told me next time I should have got her name. Today, 1/20/22 at 12:13, I called to make an appointment and the same woman was extremely rude to me. It is clear from reading the other reviews that we are all talking about the same person. They know exactly who she is whether we name her or not, they can check the shift schedule. She should learn to have some patience with adolescents who are just learning how to schedule appointments for themselves. If you don’t like talking to people, don’t work in the front desk it’s that simple. Learn how to be professional. If I didn’t need my birth control, I would most likely never return to this place.

I been coming to this clinic when I was 16 I am now 24. Great hospital and great people. My issue is nobody that works there has any sense of urgency so whether you make a appointment or walk in you will defiantly be there a couple hours while you see nurses have private conversations amongst each other not privately but publicly. I think it’s rude every time. The quicker we can get in should be the quicker we should leave. When I say “we” I’m referring to the patients. I’m no longer going to continue coming here.

I've been seeing Dr. Hollman for the past ten years, and there's not enough good things I can say about him. Always careful, and thorough with my concerns and promptly finding the best approach to address my needs. I definitely recommend him and the clinic, with lovely staff members that truly make you feel welcome.

Medical staff is great. Dr. Pi is knowledgable, thorough, and kind and speaks to my teen with respect. The nurses have also been fantastic. My problems are with the front desk staff who were rude to both me and my child, one woman in particular who rolled her eyes and groaned when I asked about a change in policy due to Omicron. We actually had no problem with the policy (caregivers have to stay in waiting room--totally understandable) but simply weren't aware of it. Kids who are coming to this facility are often dealing with some heavy stuff and deserve to be treated with kindness and not be intimidated by the first person they encounter. Finally, half of the personnel behind the desk had their surgical masks (no N95s) under their noses or on their chins (!!). Not good in general and definitely not a good lesson to impart to the young people coming in--all of whom had perfect mask compliance, incidentally.

Patricia at the front desk is rude. It’s unacceptable to hang up on people, or rush and transfer them over before allowing them to explain themselves AND transfer them over to the WRONG person at that. A little more patience and kindness would do them some good. Also, why work at the FRONT desk if you have no personable skills? It literally makes no sense.

The women on the phone is extremely rude. Always has been. I’ve been a patient here since I was 17 I am now 24. I just called to ask until what time are they taking walk ins she said “you can come right now” and hung up when that was NOT what I asked. She sounds so unhappy. I love my Doctor, Michele Green but it’s so unpleasant to make an appointment or call over there for any reason because 9 times out of 10 that miserable women is who answers the phone.

Would not accept my insurance policy, which is one of the largest insurance policies in the nation. Unbelievable! The only way my kid would be accepted would be cash payments. For such a big hospital system, I am shocked that they have limited insurance benefits. I went to Cornell-Weill instead and had a better experience.

I can say every staff member is amazing and goes the extra mile to help the patients. Everyone’s attentive, present, and friendly. They offer a lot of services for the young adults of NYC. I’m truly grateful for this place it has made my life better. -Ashley

I’ve been taking my daughter here for transgender healthcare since 2019. The doctors and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They’re always very flexible with scheduling and helpful if I have any questions or problems. Highly recommend.

I have been going here for over a year now and I just wanted to say that the medical staff is amazing and makes you feel welcomed and understood. It can take a while to get what you need or for them to get back to you, which is really my only complaint. Those at the front desk are usually kind, I haven’t encountered any problems thus far. Overall I’ve had a good experience.

I never thought I would have to write a negative review for this place. My child is non binary and has been going there since they were 18. My husband has went to pick them up after an appointment and they even let him in to use the bathroom. When he went he told me it was amazing how clean the bathroom and place was. My child always comes home from the doctors office telling me how much they love the nurses (specially a black women with short hair that is always complimenting their outfits) and their pcp, Dr Pi, whom they always speak positively about. Only problem them seem to have is with a front desk women over the phone. This same women came out her face again today, belittling my child and made them cry once she hung up on them when they were attempting to reschedule an appointment. We are currently dealing with COVID spreading through the house hold and it’s been a lot for all of us, especially my child. That is not a way to speak to a patient, especially when all your patients are under the age of 24. My child has social anxiety, this women was not letting them speak and kept being rude, sounding very annoyed. So after the “over the phone transaction” with the women, they broke down in front of me. This women has been very rude in the past when I have called to schedule appointments for my child and has no patience. The clinic provides all types of services, even contraceptives, which my daughter has also taken advantage of. Now they needed an appointment with their provider because they are having problems with their contraceptive for about a month now. They called twice but the first time the women did not hear my daughter clearly when they had asked for an appointment with their provider. But instead gave them an appointment with any doctor and hung up. Then they called again after checking my chart when they noticed this and she came out her face with my daughter. This was all on speaker, I heard her be EXTREMELY condescending and rude Towards them and from what I heard was even starting to raise their voice a bit until my child interrupted them to get a word in. Now my child is an adult but they are still young. It’s not okay what she did. How can this clinic provide a healthy environment that their young patience coming in if the first person they speak to when entering or calling is extremely rude and off putting with them? We didn’t get her name but She’s Hispanic with a bronx accent.

Never going here again I just went there today at 3pm 5:30 still didn’t get to see a doctor and I ended up leaving “You saw Bethany Novak, CRNP on Tuesday January 17, 2023 for: Comprehensive Physical Exam. The following issue was addressed: Patient left without being seen.” Is ridiculous.

Okay at best. I always have to wait at least 1 week for meds so I experience withdrawls regularly. Currently on week 2 without meds because they keep promising a call back that never comes.
