I deeply regret to report a disheartening experience at Mount Sinai hospital, particularly the Queens location. Approximately a month and a half ago, my 26-year-old brother was admitted due to a persistent fever. Initially diagnosed with “influenza”, he was discharged. Subsequently, his condition deteriorated, marked by severe vomiting, and we sought urgent medical attention. Paramedics initially downplayed his symptoms, but upon insistence, he was admitted. During his stay, the attending doctor exhibited minimal interest in understanding the severity of my brother’s condition, hastily suggesting it was a common flu. Despite my insistence, only anti-nausea medication was prescribed. A week later, with persistent fever, constipation, and inability to urinate, we returned to the same Queens location. Despite expressing concerns, they were inclined to discharge him again. However, my Dad insisted on further examination, leading to his admission. Regrettably, his health worsened day by day, resulting in a coma. Despite our pleas for a transfer to another hospital due to their inability to diagnose or treat him effectively, our requests were met with resistance and excuses. Only when our intention to transfer became evident were we grudgingly moved to the Manhattan Mount Sinai on Madison Ave. Now, nearly a month and a half into his ordeal, my brother’s condition remains critical. The hospital’s lack of transparency and urgency in his care, coupled with dismissive remarks from nursing staff about monitoring equipment, has only exacerbated our distress. Disturbingly, we witnessed another patient’s decline, with the nurse advising against trusting vital sign monitors. Our pleas for a transfer have fallen on deaf ears, and it appears the hospital is more concerned about retaining patients than their well-being. In light of these grave concerns, I strongly caution against entrusting your loved ones to this institution. I am compelled to share this experience widely, including a forthcoming video presentation with supporting evidence. I will continue to provide updates on this matter.

My experience came by surprise. A little stomach pain turns into a 2 day stay. First day. No privacy. No extra room is available. Sleep in the emergency area ( I'm glad they found the problem), but damn ! A little privacy will go a long way. Second day. Much better. A little privacy does work. I should realize it's a really busy hospital, so thank you.

I waited 5 hours just to be told to take tylenol. I went in because i tested positive for covid, but nobody seemed to care. The nurses were extremely rude and short tempered with me and my mother. The doctor gave me bad attitude, and tried to rush me out, but the worst part is he only spoke with me for 5 minutes!! I also heard the nurses unprofessionally gossiping behind the counters about their patients. Don't waste your time here unless you like being treated like a walking paycheck and a burden.

Please stay away from this hospital. They don't have enough beds or staff to meet the community's needs. You will wait forever to see a nurse or a doctor. It took three hours for a nurse to speak to me and almost six hours to see a doctor. Only two nurses worked hard, while the others were chit-chatting or on their phones and sleeping in front of the waiting patients. The whole night was a nightmare; they showed no empathy or compassion, and one of them even made fun of some of the patients who left the ER frustrated because of the long wait.

7 hours waiting in the ER after a heart attack to see a doctor. 7 hours?!?!? How many people die waiting to be seen here? The ER was empty too. Doctors were just relaxing and joking about who slept with who last week. I've been to other hospitals including their Manhattan campus. You are always seen withing 1 hour. This place is ridiculous. Just avoid the Queens location.

My Aunt, Alicia Cerrato an 91 year old woman who has been living in Astoria New York for over 58 years who has worked all her life and now has Medicare and Medicaid and sits in a gurney in the hall ways inside the emergency room for more than 18 hours waiting to get a hospital bed as the doctors on the floor have admitted her to take additional tests for kidney failure and heart failure. Meanwhile the doctors don’t recommend that she go home because she will lose her place in line to get these tests and don’t even administer a machine so they can monitor her heart while she waits in the ER. The ER is full of sick people half her age who are in desperate need of care. My Aunt is experiencing all this sickness around her while she waits for a hospital bed. She can be better off at home where she can be more relaxed and wait for her appointment for these additional tests. The ER does not have the capacity to manage people who are very sick in Astoria not alone an 91 year woman who is diabetic and requires quality medical help. This ER is in a dire situation . It feels like we are living in a third world country with no quality to health care. This is what everyone will look forward to living in Astoria, overcrowded and broken down ER and doctors who don’t have the capacity to administer adequate care to their patients. I ask the questions, why are we paying for all these taxes for? Why don’t they have better hospitals in cities like Astoria? Please someone from the hospital reply to my questions and help my Aunt.

This is the absolute worst ER to go to if you’re having a medical concern. Doctors and staff gaslight you and disregard you if you’re in intense pain. And they’ll also laugh in your face if you show even the slightest bit of discomfort when asking why the wait time is so long. It’s really disrespectful and disappointing to see how medical professionals care so little about their patients here. No comparison or empathy lives in this building. Please save yourself from coming to this trash of a hospital. I honestly regret even stepping foot in here. Waited 5 hours to be told to check in with my primary care doctor. Left feeling worse physically and emotionally. Which is really sad considering that I came here to find some relief from my physical symptoms. Felt emotionally drained and disregarded instead. You’re better off figuring it out on your own or going somewhere else than coming here.

The check in system is absolutely atrocious. There is zero organization or direction. I was trying to visit a friend. Once the security guard was focused on me, she was quite pleasant. But the amount of cursing, complaining and cross talk kept interfering and distracting her. There were three security guards on duty, and two of them just kept yelling about various employment grievances and distracting the third from doing her job. The language permitted was ridiculous and embarrassing and they made everyone waiting to be checked in uncomfortable. Alliance Universal Security was in charge and I’m absolutely blown away at the lack of professionalism. You are working at a hospital! With patients and visitors! I have never written a review before but I had to take the time to do this because, I expect this behavior at the post office, not a hospital. Incredible.

I went into the Emergency room because I had Covid 19 with a high fever. I was hooked up to the IV and the nurse brought up both sides sides of the bed. There were no blankets nor slipper socks. I was freezing! I asked for blankets because I was shivering! It was 54 degrees outside and the Emergency room had central air conditioning on. The nurse closed the door all the way. There was NO NURSE CALL BUTTON. I had to go to the bathroom and with the door closed I'm shouting for help. No nurse came. I screamed for help trapped in the bed with the rails up. It took 10 minutes for a nurse to come and let me go to the bathroom. I was neglected and stressed and forgotten in an emergency room. I complained to the doctor on staff. He says Mt Sinai is too cheap to have blankets, sock slippers and pillows for patients. He say Mt Sinai can't afford to hire more nursing staff. This hospital is the worst!! Stay away to save your life!

This hospital is clearly broken. I had to go to the ER last week for severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. I spent six hours on a cot crammed to the side of the aisle, where I was repeatedly bumped by people walking by. They gave me iv fluids something to ease the pain, but their diagnostic ability is zero. It took six hours to have blood tests done but the results didn’t come back. The doctor said his official medical advice is to stay, but he understand if I decided to go. He didn’t prescribe anything. I was later able to figure out what it was on my own. I have celiac, and I had unknowingly been digesting gluten for a week with some mislabeled nuts. Although I told Dr about my allergy, there was no consideration of this as a possible cause. They were scratching their heads when I left to rest which was impossible there. If it had been something serious, like a heart attack, appendicitis or sepsis, I would have died right there on the cot. No one ever came up to me to check and see how I was doing. I will not enter Queens Mount Sinai although there may be no good options here.

I had a terrible experience at Mount Sinai hospital. I was sent there due to severe abdominal pain. After enduring a 3-hour wait in the lobby and another hour in the ER, Dr. Shaw approached me rudely, almost as if I was lying about my pain. When I asked him about my chart, he responded with hostility, as if I was being punished. Telling me to check myself that hell just come back to me later as he walked away. Unable to tolerate this treatment, I said I'd just discharge myself, and Dr. Shaw's parting words were, 'Sounds good, have a great day.' It's that this happened in a hospital.

Absolutely disgusting how they treat patients. Got my acl surgery done here and they gave me a wheelchair with out A LEG REST. I used my crutch to support my own leg as a “leg rest” to elevate my knee. I’m currently here for a broken ankle and they again are giving me a wheel chair without a leg rest. I had to grab another chair to bring my ankle up. What type of hospital is this.

I brought my son in for a toothache this evening. After treating him with a diagnosis the, Dr's and nurses proceeded to make jokes on behalf of my son who was a patient. After I insisted we go to the emergency room. They showed no professionalism or compassion to my SON the patient or me. Their actions were very tacky to say the least. They need to add etiquette to their job description. This behavior from them made my son very upset. No excuses whatsoever! Their la k of sympathy for other people's pain should not go unnoticed. DO BETTER

The registration staff work as quick as they can and were informative as they took the next steps. I was approached in the waiting room by MATTHEW EINSTEIN PA. I had no idea who he was, he came very close to my face and asked me "what do you need". My eyes were closed so this startled me. I felt uncomfortable and confused since the registration nurse just told me that they would be moving me to a room shortly to see a Dr. He pressed on when I asked him who he was, instead of telling me who he was and explaining the need to start my evaluation in the waiting room, he very abruptly asked what I needed again. He is callous and ill mannered which quickly turned into rude and condescending when I stated that I did not want to discuss my health needs in front of a group of strangers. He proceeded to make me feel like what I came to the ER for was nothing and I should not be there. Very condescending and dismissive. I explained that I was not sure of the condition but felt like it should be checked and he proceeded to say I did not need to be there. Because of his condescending, abrupt and belittling demeanor, I immediately requested that he give me my paperwork to leave so I could go to a real Dr. He then said that he would not make any notes of his "evaluation" and that I would not be discharged but it would be my choice to leave. He continued to try and make comments to me to which I explicitly stated that I did not want him to speak to me or any where near me. He continued to make comments to me when he passed again. MATTHEW EINSTEIN's behavior was unacceptable, degrading and mean. For him to be in a position to treat the community in sickly and vulnerable states that come to your hospital for medical assistance, is appalling. We requested to speak to someone in charge and/or supervisors because I did not want to be charged for this encounter. A nurse in charge, Dorothy Williams, did come speak to us and tried to assist us but ultimately supervisors were not available. I would never come here for help again.

My family member is in this hospital for a few days. The nurses are very busy and they don't have the time to attend to their patients needs. Its terrible. The rooms are small and overcrowded. A patient that needs help with feeding doesn't get help. The food goes back untouched. A patient that needs to be cleaned waits for hours. They have three patients in a small room that can only accommodate two patients. I can write a whole assay This is terrible. Mount Sinai doesn't care about patients only about earnings. One star is too much for them . Don't go there find another hospital.

I hope no one has to go to the emergency room at this hospital. The department is short-staffed and the nurses who are actually there do not care and always have an attitude. I spent 24 hours there with my mom and hope I never have to go back again. Nurse Nina completely ignore us, I had to look for another nurse and say we were going to leave for them to do something. Nurse Diana was complaining about all the patients talking about how annoying they were and giving attitude for simple requests just because I asked if my mom could have her medications after being there the whole night. Definitely not a great experience.

Recently sent a letter to my uncle, whom I lost contact with. The letter said: Deceased return to sender. I have contacted the Vital records department & the Morgue's office. Whom then asked I check with all the local hospitals. Being that I am in a different state, I called first hospital Mt. Sinai. The lady at the admitting office with the heavy accent asked why I am calling the hospital and why am I looking for him? No, consideration on what I had just explained to her. Just rudeness as if I were asking her to do more than her job! I understand they might get a great deal of people with attitude, but there is always a certain to approach your callers without sounding like you are annoyed.

Dr. Elfatihi was excellent. The hospital was overcrowded and understaffed but Dr. Elfatihi assisted me as quickly as he could and was very kind. My treatment worked as well. Thank you Mount Sinai.

This is by far the worst hospital. My dad was admitted yesterday. They didn’t know how to place a catheter , he was bleeding and in excruciating pain. Today, he was advised by one of their own doctors to go elsewhere. They didn’t even provide an ambulance. I can’t believe the service. They have roaches and bugs in food. Please do not take your love ones here.

ER room is in complete chaos. Not enough beds or staff to meet the needs of the community. The wait to see a doctor or have blood work/ X-rays is unacceptable. We’re talking hours. Some nurses having attitudes and actual argue with patients in pain. If you can’t be professional in the workplace then you need to change jobs. The community deserves better.

FURIOUS. I booked an appointment with Claudine Portella, got here ahead of time to get checked in. Check in was quick, payment seamless, and the staff was pleasant. I sat there for 50 minutes before I was approached by staff to be told the doctor was backed up and I would not be seen at all. I wasted almost 2 hours commuting and sitting there, just to not be seen at all?? What a joke. Do they assume we just have our days open just to sit around and wait for them? And for the record, I was there because my ears are full and I can’t hear anything—which you would think is pretty urgent, right? WRONG.

Recently my sister had the unfortunate experience of receiving care at this hospital and I must express my profound disappointment with the level of service provided. Not only was the hospital care subpar, but the interns who attended my sister were shockingly inept, leading to an incident where she was prescribed the wrong medication. However, the most concerning aspect of my ordeal was the incompetence displayed by the interns. Their lack of knowledge and attention to detail was alarming. It was clear that they were ill-prepared and lacked the necessary experience to handle even routine medical procedures. The fact that they prescribed the wrong medication, putting my sisters health at risk, is simply unacceptable. This entire experience has left me questioning the quality of care provided at here. It is evident that there is a severe lack of oversight and mentorship for the interns, which compromises patient safety and well-being. The combination of disorganized hospital practices and the presence of inept interns creates an environment that is far from conducive to healing. I hope that the hospital administration takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to prevent others from enduring such an unfortunate ordeal.

Poor actually very poor and unprofessional care for the patients. Emergency room is a disaster. I went on 12/8/22 with broken knee. All day they didn't give me pain killers or any other medications. No one from the nurses offer me at least a glass of water. I asked for pee container and been waiting for 5 hours. All 3 of the nurses forgot to bring it. They rescheduled my surgery 3 times for no reason. At the end in order to receive copy of my Medical records I have to pay $87 . Why is that? Health is $$$$.

I will only ever go to this hospital if I was on the verge of dying, and even then, I would not be confident that I'd walk out alive. A few years back, this hospital killed my grandfather. He was hospitalized for six days with pneumonia and released prematurely. He came home, and not five minutes later after walking in the door he died. The fire department attempted to resuscitate him but it was already too late. He was taken right back to Mount Sinai where they kept him in a dirty emergency room on life support as he bled all over himself. Flies were everywhere and the staff was rude; they didn't help the situation at all. It was the worst week of my life that changed who I am forever. I have been living in the area all my life, and my family has been in the area since immigrating here 50 years ago so we remember when this was called Astoria General Hospital. Practically everyone I know has a horror story about this place including one ex doctor who says "you don't want to know what I've seen in there, you don't want to know what sheer disregard they have for humanity". I will admit that the hospital has gotten better since they renovated, but not by much. If it is not a dire emergency and if you value your life, go over the bridge to Manhattan to a real hospital.

I just called for same day appointment. I was told the first available representative would get to me. I held the line. This person eventually took the phone but hang up on me without even asking why I called. I was forced to check the reviews of this hospital and now not surprised about this experience. I actually do choose Mount Sinai as my number one health care provider, whenever I can because its name deeply resonates with me. Mt Sinai Brooklyn was my best experience so far, so perhaps I will just head there tomorrow instead all the way from Flushing and hope I do not get disappointed this time round.

Worst hospital i ever been to in my life, if there were zero stars i would give. dont be fool by the name. Nobody should stay in an emergency room for 8 hrs just to see a doctor. GO TO METROPOLITAN, presbeterian or wherever other hospital will do a better job by assisting people quicker and with more efficiency. WHOEVER MANAGES THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD GO BACK TO COLLEGE AND START AGAIN, because is the worst management i ever seen. You need to have a knife across your chess for you to be seen. WORST ever

I wish I saw all those reviews before I took my mother here. My mother had heart attack and the doctor reaction was great and 5 star for them. But everything after with those training doctors and nurses my mother got worse and even got some kind of infection she got in the hospital. I am very very disappointed. You get to the hospital to get better not worse. But I saw my mother got worse, she received antibiotics to take because of the infection and the antibiotic made her feel horrible I told her to stop taken it. I totally lost trust in US medical system, I feel they are slowly killing people with those medications they're prescribing all ove NYC is the same thing fake doctors fake medication. I hope not to receive any bill from this hospital because I wouldn't pay a penny to them become how my mom is feeling. I am going to avoid thos hospital in the future like I said I wish I read the reviews before I would never take my mom here. The personal is friendly and nice but I don't look for someone being nice I am looking for someone who knows their job not get patient more sick then before come to the hospital. Unacceptable

We just left the emergency room (my 16 year old son and I) and everyone was sooooo kind… Dr. Bates and Nurse Perez were so patient and caring .. they did all they could to make us feel comfortable during our hard time. They gave everything my son needed to feel at ease and the answers I needed. I know this isn’t a hospital review isn’t the norm but sometimes you have to say thank you for those who take the time to care for your children.. thank you.

This hospital has one of the worst systems for making appointments I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. the system is so dysfunctional it is either peak-level incompetence distain for their own patients. Either way, I wouldn’t wish this upon anyone. If you can, find another healthcare provider. No one deserves to be treated like this. They outsourced everything and automated everything using some of the worst solutions and service providers in the market. It’s literally baffling how horrible and unusable their systems are. They seriously need to audit whoever is responsible for putting these systems together. Like, it seems borderline evil.

I had come in this morning with severe chest pains which was made aware to the security and the people who sit there checking you in. I was waiting and waiting and another girl comes in and just because she is crying she goes in front of me , but this girl can be on her phone and be texting so how severe was her pain…? I do not blame the girl who is simply seeking help as same as I was , I barely was able to breathe and they told me to wait and stand there, but just cause someone’s crying they can go in front of me..? After that whole situation I headed to a different ER as I’m not gonna sit and wait for my breathing to magically come back while the doctors more or less refused to see me. Pneumonia is what I have btw mount Sinai. Enjoy the paper work you are all about to receive for the lack of wanting to help me simply because I wasn’t crying

Horrible place. My 91 year old diabetic aunt remained on a gurney in a hallway for 2 whole days. Despite possible heart problems that they cited, she was never provided a heart monitor. She was never seen by a cardiologist. Finally, we had to sign her out against medical advice to seek better care. Which we did. But it really seems they simply wanted to charge her insurance as much as possible . Either that or they were simply negligent. Afterall, how can THEY claim.possible heart problems but not provide a heart monitor??? Sad really, because they treated all other patients similarly. They had an attitude and just let people lay there without attention. Please avoid this place

This 5 star rating is because of 2 nurses that took great care of me the 4 months I was there recently.they was great compassionate, caring and went all out the way Togo beyond helping me in every moment of my pain. With (Both of my feet and my neck.) And I truly thank God for them both they have changed my mind about this hospital and made me feel like I was home instead of the hospital. One them name is Mr.Amid from 3West 7×7shift and the other one was Mr.Scott also from 3WEST but he works the late night shift 7×7 That's all thank you for your time and excellent service. God bless you both!!!!!! 😃😃😃

Okay….obviously if you’re scrolling down the reviews for this hospital it’s as clear as day this is where you go to die. Lord knows why they haven’t taken a wrecking ball to this hospital. I assure you ALL the horrible reviews are true. You would think they only staff nurses from a prison registry or something. You’ll die simply waiting to be seen. Then if you are seen god help you and pray you won’t be given the wrong meds or have a nurse nearly kill you simply putting in an I.V. My heart goes out to all the sick people who unknowingly wound up at this hospital. It’s really sad because the community definitely deserves better. Whoever knows the right people or organization to report a hospital like this to in attempts to actually bring change to such a scary and horrible place please take the time to do so. A hospital like this is really a sad situation. God bless anyone who ends up there in the future. 🙏🏻

My mom was a patient from this hospital, she was hospitalized and lost $300 cash, the hospital said there is nothing they can do about it. A nurse named Maria Neri took my mom's bag before her procedure and trusted her because she is also a Filipino, the next day they we can't find Maria Neri. We reached out to the patient coordinator but no helped was given to us until now. Last June 29th mom was supposed to have her outpatient surgery with Doctor Phair. The doctors cleared her to have this vascular surgery. I know that mom has renal disease, of course there are risks, but they did not stop my moms medications such as her aspirin and heparin, they did the surgery and did not succeed, they opened her again the same day, after loosing a lot blood, she suffered from bilateral brain injury, was in coma for a week and died last July 5th... ANOTHER THING HAPPENED WHEN MY MOM WAS IN COMA... My mom and my sister checked in her belongings and was given a vault number. We noticed that her facebook messenger goes online. I checked with tmobile and found out that moms phone are using internet while she's in coma. So we decided to asked for her things. It took time before my sister got my mom's bag because when she went to the security the vault was empty. But thank God they were able to locate her phone, I don't know how. I checked the phone and found out that someone is searching for a private hotel in Jamaica.... And they forgot to clear the history. It's a shame that someone will dig into a patients bag and use her phone while she is in coma. My mom was the one who checked in her bag and signed for it. Maybe the person who used her phone thought that nobody will claim her bag. God bless your doctors and your hospital. We lost the last parent that we have, no sorry can bring her back to us... I would love to give them zero stars. One of the worst experiences of my life. They're not out to help you. Make no mistake, it's all about the money with these folks. Their desire to bleed dry your insurance company--thereby driving up healthcare costs--knows no bounds. They're just as guilty as the insurance companies for the collapse of American healthcare accessibility.

If you ever have a spine or other neurological issue - stay away from Mt. Sinai Queens. I’ve been to ER 3 times since 02/25/23 with my mother due severe lower back pain. First they said it was due to her kidney infection (not supported by either tests or CT scan) and sent us home with antibiotics. On 03/03/23 we ended up there again, this time around they admitted her, ran an MRI and discovered a fracture in her lumbar spine vertebra. The procedure was done on 07/07/23. The pain did not get much better, then epidural was performed on 07/10/23 - not much help either. We were discharged on 03/14/23 with the bunch of opioids prescriptions and advice to do physical therapy. After visiting the pain management dr who did 3 additional steroid shots that did not help, we ended up in the ER again on 04/24/23. They put her to the room on the 3rd floor and assigned her a pain management specialist. Trying to get her neurosurgeon to see her again due to new spine issues with inched nerve identified by the outside MRI was futile. He never even came to see her at the hospital. Was chasing him via his staff and finally spoke to him on the phone, where he informed me that they can’t do anything and the only option for us is to keep pumping her with opioids. I’m going to another hospital for second opinion as I lost all trust in the staff at this hospital. If you ever end up on the third floor there (room 309-3) - be prepared to deal with the most uncaring and dismissive nurses. They NEVER come to the patient after you press the red button. The patient screams in pain - and after you chase them down in the hallway - all you get is “I can’t do anything for another 2 hrs as it’s not in the system”. She is being discharged today. We’ll bring her home in a worse condition than when we got there. I will try to never set a foot into this hospital again. And God help those who are still there.

My husband was admitted to the Hospital on Tuesday and the ER docs were great and attentive but after being transferred to the Main Hospital I haven't been able to get any information about his care and his test results nothing! I have called 7 times in 3 days being promised that a P.A. would get back to me and nothing. Only 1 PA for 30 patients is absurd. This is no way to run a Hospital. Leaving patients and their families in the dark. Unacceptable! At this point, I am beginning to think I should have taken him elsewhere. Mt. Sinai needs to do better as this is the NY, not a third-world country. Mt. Sinai should be about what's best for their patients not what's best for their bottom line. Shameful and poorly managed.

I had the absolute worst nightmare, experience at Mount Sinai hospital. I came by for X-rays for my wrist. I got hit by a car earlier today. After getting called in to the ER I waited over 4-hours. JANIQUE ( RN ) WEST SIDE WING WAS VERY NASTY AND RUDE AND IGNORED ME THE WHOLE TIME. She was giving dirty looks, gave all the patients cold stern attitude. She made the whole morale of Mt Sinai Hospital just horrible. I have never endured such carelessness before in my life. Usually nurses walk around asking patients if they are okay and if they are comfortable. I received no type of care in the world. I had to TELL HER “ IM A PATIENT just want to confirm.” She says” I know “ I’m like okay k need to get my X-rays done. Oh our system is down I have no clue how long you’ll wait. I said no problem she then makes me wait 3 more hours just to do my X-rays for 3 min and then now for my results. She made me sit there and wait for a paper that when I asked the lady’s very nice lady’s in the front they said I wasn’t going to get them tonight. I was there from 9pm-3am and was FINALLY SEEN ONLY FOR X-ray at 130 in the morning. The PA Sophia didn’t even know what I came in for, she asked me what was wrong. No chart notes or anything. Nobody was privy to my situation. I was also the last person in the waiting room to be seen. I asked JANIQUE to help me set up my “my chart “ she said I don’t know how with a nasty attitude and told me that I won’t get discharged but I can leave if I want . I asked her If I should be waiting for something she said you can go home if you don’t want to wait. Very nasty. SHE IS RUDE AND SHOUD LOSE HER RN license immediately . she shouldn’t work in the hospital with no empathy for not just me but for many in the room. I would like you to give me a call if you want more details I will be glad to have this conversation. So upset I can’t even explain it properly. I will never visit another Mount Sinai again She ruined my experience 1000% and I’m sure it Was not just me. I left at 330am in the morning and I have work in a few hours and all of these details Janique was aware of.

If you think you are not taking your last breath please don't go there. Friday 14th of this month I went there with my syst pain. After 2hrs seating on a chair Dr. Wang came to see me. Unnecessarily passed 3 more hours, Dr. Wang gives me a male doctor's address and phone number. I asked if I get a female doctor. He said to wait for it. Next hour and half I waited there he never came back. I walked to the front desk and I saw Dr Wang and the other doctor was seating in front of the computer and eating. When I asked him he said let me check. But I didn't wait anymore.

I was here on January 8th and 10th. I had to wait over 5 hours the first day, I didn't do anything and I left. The second day my stay in the area again was from 3:00 am to 11am. When they released me from the emergency room I got a urine results under my name and I did give them my urine at any moment. is it professional? I have been calling different number because I got a copay bill to complain, however, I haven't been able to speak with a human being to get a solution.

I am a current patient here and I wanted to express my gratitude towards the doctors, nurses and staff. I went through the emergency unit and they quickly attended to me. I have been admitted for a week and have experienced placement fatigue, but the doctors, specifically Dr. Ryan Corbo who answered questions, and the nurses were angels. I also struggled with my mental health and I felt safe and comfortable under their care. I am thankful for their support as I work on my treatment.

Horrible place to go... If you have a problem do not go there. They will tell you everything is fine...you will leave feeling the same exact way you felt when you got there. The nurses are kind and care more then the doctors. You will end up going to another hospital. MT Sinai of queens does not care about your issues. They do the bare minimum.

My dad went into the ER due to his seizure and all the Mount Sinai staffs took very good care of him from the start to his discharge. I really appreciate the Doctors, Nurses and staffs took all their time to answer all my questions. Due to my time I was not able to stay at the hospital with my dad and the Doctors always called after each exam and procedure to explain with updates.

I made a HUGE MISTAKE coming here. I’m only giving a second star because everyone was super polite, while doing absolutely nothing. I came in WITH A PROFUSELY BLEEDING HEAD WOUND AND WAITED 5 HOURS BEFORE BEING SPOKEN TO BY ANYONE. I was finally seen…by a PA, and no one else, only after I politely asked for the 3rd time if someone could please have a look, because everyone who’d arrived AFTER me had been seen and many had been discharged. Some of the more urgent issues that warranted attention before my open head included: knee pain, injured hands, a rash, and a headache…which, by the way, also applied to me AND I WAS NEVER CHECKED FOR A CONCUSSION. I was eventually stitched up, no questions asked, no other evaluation, no doctor visit and I had to ask multiple times what my next steps should be before getting “come back in 5-7 days to get the stitches out. And I’ll call you in some bacitracin. Otherwise, all good.” I now have a steadily throbbing headache, a burning eye under the laceration, and have been feeling woozy since Saturday. I’ll be heading to my doctor for help. But maybe I’ll come back here to experience being a high-priority patient if my knee is ever feeling a bit achy.

The worst they are worst than Lincoln hospital in the Bronx. My father was there for fractured wrists they didn't treat him well there had to get the director involved. They don't inform the patient about their conditions nor the family. The nurses and doctors are unprofessional the security guards there are unprofessional and like to discriminate especially against Hispanic or light skin people because their guards are black yea I said it idc either but you don't tell me I can't sit in the waiting area but your own kind can yeah discrimination all the way. I said what I said fight me idc this hospital needs to be on blast!!

In the emergency section now, registration was the quickest. But I’ve never came to an emergency room that smelled like pure pee and poop. The smell so bad it makes you want to literally throw up. The one nurse on our section with a bad attitude. Unorganized

The worst hospital in queens for minor health problems it is ok but they are not capable of handling serious illnesses please keep your loved ones away from this nightmare of a hospital due to their unprofessionalism and incompetent doctors my brother in law is fighting for his life because of their lake of knowledge and ignorance and to save a few bucks they are putting life’s of people in danger it makes me wonder in this day and age how is this possible. He went to ER two times and they sent him back home saying that its just a common flu And by the third time his condition got worst than they admit him but they had no room for him available For days his condition was getting worst and worst but they couldn't find out after doing different lab works that what was wrong with him. We requested to transfer him to different hospital but they politically refuses that they can't do that and made different excuses . But at the end after pushing and envolving with them again and again showed they finally transfered him to NYC Hospital. This shows how corrupt our medical system is in NEW YORK. The reason I am writing all these details hopeing that It can be helpful to save someone's loved one. Note: One of the nurse name Shermain because of her mistake she blamed my brother in law who was sick that he was lieing that he pressed the button to call for help. Upon checking the switch was off from the wall. Instead of being nice to patient and respectful some of the staff was so rude specially that nurse.

This hospital is very bad , bad conditions, bad customer service , you go to the emergency room you wait 2 hours until they even ask your name , never have enough doctors , it’s a mess.!! My son had a very high fever 2 hours pass and the lady didn’t even put him in the system yet .!!! Talking about it’s people in front of you , I understand that , but emergency means ,911, sos, asap, if that was to me I don’t want to imagine the other people, bottom line my child couldn’t be seen had to leave to another hospital after spending a few hours with him sick at the emergency room , ya need to do better , pick up the case already .!!!! A hospital shouldn’t have more than 10 sick people waiting on the waiting area, just to put their name in the system it was actually more than 10 .!!! No seats .!!!!! Imagine how behind they were

I spent (2) separate days in the ER this week. And I have to say, I never expected to be giving MSQ ER five stars, but they certainly deserve it! I met an exceptional Doctor! A wonderful Lady " Dr. M. Chisolm-Straker"! Mt. Sinai is very lucky to have her. She handled her business so well, there were no questions needed to be asked! That was the first time I didn't have any follow up questions for anything. That's what a patient, family/and or friend of a patient wants and needs! I'd also like to give special thumbs up for a job well done to, Dr. J. Levine, MA J. Pena, Nurse F. Reece and last but not least , Manny (Manuel) one of the best! The registration crew were great too! And to anyone I forgot to mention. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!🙏

I had best experience ever with this hospital. I appreciate the nurse Faith and nurse Lev gave my 3 years old daughter best care, the care is from heart, they support me and comfort my frustration, bring us food, warm blankets, warmed wipes and clean changing cloth. And come back checking on us often. I am so lucky that my boss recommended this hospital to me. We never get such a good care in other hospitals. Thank you to all the staff.

I had a surgery here at the beginning of August. I went through the ER triage and there I waited a few hours until things started moving. The staff was great, from the ER nurses and doctors to the nurses on the 4th floor and the surgical team which explained everything in detail about the procedure that would take place. All very professional, kind and reassuring. I would definitely recommend Mount Sinai to my friends and family! I understand that people that leave reviews are frustrated mostly with the ER and that is one deficiency that this Hospital has and needs to improve on it.

My son cut his hand really bad and we walked into the ER bleeding. They took us into the back and told us a doctor would see him. Two hours passed and nobody even came to check on us. This is not the first time that I go into the black hole that is being at this hospital. We had to leave and cross the street into an emergency care unit where they treated him immediately, the way it should be. They could have just told us they had no time for us and we wouldn’t have wasted two hours of hour life in pain. Horrible experience. As always. I just hope I never have to come to this hospital again.

I have always had a bad experience at hospital, be it the nurses or doctors. But this hospital changed my opinion. I had a great stay, everyday was a good experience. The nurses who took care of me Ivonny, Raul, Tanya, Vicky and couple of them were great and very professional. I would have rated 100 stars. They are just great people, they treat patients with love, compassion and humanity. I love this place and would recommend my circle. Thank you for amazing stay while I was here. I am still here as I write this review and it feels kind of sad to be discharged soon 😊The food is as good as some five star restaurants.

My wife and I have both been inpatients here and have been happy with the care we got. We are happy with ER. When we were in ER staffing seemed to be very good. Their WiFi is very problematic. You get thrown off every 30-60 minutes. Maybe a rep can say in a response what the time limit is. One time I was in the middle of a phone call using Google Voice on WiFi and call was killed. Another time I was filling out a government form and was thrown off.

Amazing, my 4 years old daughter was immediately helped. She has a fracture in her left arm. The x ray was pretty quickly. She was transferred to the Madison Ave unit where there is a pediatric center. All worked in such a human and kind way that I just can be thankful. Would give 10 Star if I could.

One of the worst places I’ve ever found, if you have any problems don’t go there, because they’re going to kill your time beside help you with your problem, you will luckily see your doctor whoever assigned to you, otherwise you will be in the bed forever there, because they don’t do any surgery's they will transfer you somewhere else for any operations or surgery so you better don’t west your time go somewhere else and get your help. it’s looks like a private clinic or a day care center with mount Sinai logo there is absolutely no cares….

I hate hospitals, let’s start with that. I didn’t catch my nurse’s name unfortunately but she was the sweetest, fastest, most thorough and careful nurse I’ve ever had. My doctor? INCREDIBLE communication, explained my symptoms and slowly discussed what the plan was to get me outta there. (Dr. Ryan Young) The hospital was clean, organized, and had upbeat vibes. I’m telling y’a, if you need to go the hospital go to this one, because if I didn’t hate it, you’re gonna love it. Thanks everyone! Hope to see you all soon again (hopefully randomly in a bar instead of inside of the hospital LOL)

I had an awful experience with this hospital right before/after Mt. Sinai took over. So much so I would roll my eyes or curse under my breath at the advertisements they had at my home subway station. I have to say it has changed a lot since then. There are still old parts of the hospital, but a lot of the facilities are new, and they are continuing to expand. I may have lucked out but I had a number of great doctors and nurses for my unexpected health issue that came up during the pandemic. My two negative criticisms are that the hospital food is not good, apparently it used to be but it is mostly pre-prepared stuff these days, not sure if that is pandemic related. Also, in my week stay in the hospital there were many days that 1 or more LPNs or nurses did not show up for their shift which made it more hectic for everyone. Especially if you needed more attention than most because you were post surgery. That one is pandemic related. If I had to guess that is probably getting better now. I go to the clinical building often and it is a breeze to check-in. If you compare it to Mt. Sinai's main campus in East Harlem it is night and day. Queens should have multiple good hospitals in the borough. It is much bigger than most cities. I hope that this becomes one of them.

I believe the hospital should be given a rating greater than 5 stars. I went to the emergency room a while back because I felt like I had high blood pressure and a migraine. However, it was discovered that one of the arteries in my neck was about to rupture. I am alive thanks to Dr. Shoirah and the great employees at Mount Sinai Queens, I am always grateful for the care I received there and for my prolonged existence. Every time I visit the hospital, my family and I receive the best care. Mount Sinai Queens has the best healthcare providers in New York.

I’ve been to Elmhurst,Jamaica hospitals before, but found Mount Sinai was a little better then that. But today I just found out that I was wrong. First of all, they have doctors they would come see you and then change the shift and different doctor will come ask you the same question. If you are sick, you’ll get even worst going there. It’s been more then 5 house and writing this review, So far they took blood, did pressure test. And two doctors and ask the same questions. I’ve seen their desktop became a party hall.

My wife and I walked into the Emergency department due to me having chest tightness and shortness of breath. By the time I arrived at the hospital I wasn’t able to speak much or even walk. My wife was speaking on my behalf, I was feeling horrible! The nurse that was treating me was taking her sweet time like if nothing urgent was happening. Meanwhile I was feeling like I was suffocating. She tried to set an IV on my right arm and missed so I lifted my left arm to let her know to use that arm. My wife told her to please use my left arm and the nurse said no, I feel a vain here but my wife insisted on her doing my left arm due to her missing. The nurse walked away and said to her charge nurse and I quote “ she’s telling me how to do my job”. The charge nurse walked in to confront my wife and my wife explained to her that she is also a registered nurse. Keep in mind I’m still there suffering watching all this. The charge nurse looked at my wife in discuss as if she was wrong and told her as a nurse you should know better. I kicked the hand rail of the bed in frustration and only then did the nurse start moving quicker. Those two nurses need to check their ego at the door and put the patients first. What a horrible experience! P.s Dr. Erica Igbinoghene was wonderful! Very patient and compassionate. I give her 5 stars!

So I’m upset at not having received the medical service I feel I should have received, however someone made me realize how hard it has been for doctors and nurses. My apologies for not seeing beyond my anger. I still feel however this hospital could do better and hope that if I ever return this is true. The cat scan tech was awesome.

I recently underwent surgery performed by Dr. Rodrigo Sequeira, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am with the exceptional level of care and expertise I received. From the initial consultation to the post-operative follow-ups, the entire experience was nothing short of outstanding. The day of the surgery went smoothly, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the surgical team and the seamless organization led by Dr. Sequeira. I truly felt like a valued patient, not just another case. I'm incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by their team. The operation was a success, and I'm happy to say that my recovery has been swift and without any complications. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, I am now well on the way to a full recovery and can return to my daily activities with confidence. I highly recommend Dr. Rodrigo Sequeira to anyone in need of surgical care. Their professionalism and compassionate approach make them a true asset to the medical community.

I went to the ER and had to wait only a few minutes before I was seen. The place was safe, secure, and clean with security checking bags and a metal detector scan at the door. I was treated by Dr Chaudhry and nurse Monica Kim who were attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. They listened to my concerns and answered my questions. They also explained everything every step of the way. In my time there, they took vitals, did blood work, gave me an IV, administered a CT scan, and administered an ultrasound. All in about 2.5 hours- on a weekend! The ultrasound tech and CT scan tech were also top notch. I am not a fan of doctors or hospitals, but I wouldn’t hesitate to trust them with care again! Thank you to the team at Mount Sinai Queens!

My wife Joanne was a patient at Mount Sinai in Queens NY at 3West . I must say the staff on that floor is unbelievable. The attention & care from them is #1. I especially loved the nurse Amir who took extra good care of my wife. I was very relaxed when leaving that she was in good hands. The rest of the staff were excellent also. From the cleaning staff to the kitchen staff( especially Patty) The care they gave her was unbelievable. Also, the doctors are terrific. Dr Hongo, Dr Quinn, who we dealt with on a daily basis kept us informed about everything. I would highly recommend Mt Sinai to anyone who needs to see a doctor.

Arrived at the emergency room close to midnight. Came in with an ambulance to hopefully get seen faster joke was on me . I wasn’t seen till 3am and my room ? Oh just a bed outside of two empty rooms. Around 3AM a nurse came and gave me IV . Why did it take 3 hours? When this same nurse is seen eating in the front desk on her phone walking around . It was a busy night but with the amount of staff I should’ve been treated faster. Once my test results came In they quickly put me in one of the empty rooms .this hospital is a joke.

I just wanted to stop here and say how surprised i was with my visit the other day. I was having a really bad allergic reaction and I was starting to panic while in the emergency room. I don’t quite remember both names of the people who helped me but I remember one name Janiick or Janique(I hope I'm not butchering her name lol). I won’t get too much into detail but what i will say is she was very attentive and made me feel heard. I was anxious to even come in because my last hospital visit was NOT SO GREAT to the point that i wanted to leave.. it felt like they were in a rush to get me out. So just sitting back thinking these last couple days i wanted to let it be known that the nurses at mount Sinai CARE, the girl janique cared and that’s all a patient could ever ask for
