This
review
is
specifically
about
the
pediatric
orthopedic
center.
Pros:
Doctor
was
professional
and
very
efficient.
Wait
time
was
not
unreasonable.
Waiting
room
had
books
for
the
kids
to
read.
Cons:
The
nurses
and
especially
the
woman
named
Patricia
at
the
front
desk
were
entirely
unprofessional.
When
I
entered,
Patricia
didn't
even
look
up,
and
after
a
full
minute
of
standing
there
I
called
for
her
attention,
which
seemed
to
annoy
her.
Despite
calling
in
and
being
told
my
insurance
would
be
accepted,
then
scanning
in
my
insurance
card
at
the
kiosk,
then
giving
the
insurance
card
to
Patricia
to
manually
input,
I
didn't
find
out
until
after
my
child's
X-rays
that
they
didn't
have
my
insurance
on
file.
I
had
to
give
it
to
another
receptionist
to
input
while
I
wrung
my
hands
hoping
the
visit
would
be
covered
before
finally
learning
it
was.
When
I
had
a
question
about
what
I
was
signing,
Patricia's
response
was
"just
sign
it."
After
the
doctor
said
my
child
needed
X-rays,
we
were
just
left
in
the
exam
room
for
five
minutes
wondering
if/when
we
should
go
somewhere.
The
doctor
saw
us
still
there
and
scolded
the
nurses
for
not
telling
us
where
to
go.
When
a
nurse
finally
came
and
got
us,
she
just
stood
there
in
reception
next
to
Patricia
for
2
minutes
while
I
stood
there
with
my
crying
child
waiting
to
be
told
what
was
going
on.
They
finally
told
me
to
go
to
X-rays,
then
watched
me
struggle
while
I
held
my
son
and
brought
his
stroller
through
the
door.
When
we
came
back
from
X-rays,
I
told
Patricia
I
was
back
and
had
the
X-rays
done,
then
sat
down
thinking
that
would
be
sufficient
to
get
the
ball
rolling.
15
minutes
later,
I
asked
if
I
had
time
to
change
a
diaper,
and
she
asked
if
the
X-rays
department
had
told
me
to
come
back.
So
she
hadn't
even
logged
that
I
was
waiting,
and
didn't
have
the
presence
of
mind
to
ask
me
if
I
was
waiting
there
for
any
particular
reason
despite
there
being
only
one
other
patient
in
the
waiting
room.
Shortly
after
that
exchange
we
were
called
back.
While
I
was
speaking
with
another
receptionist
who
had
thankfully
come
to
assist,
another
patient
and
her
dad
walked
out
confused,
asking
if
they
still
needed
to
be
waiting
in
the
exam
room.
Not
telling
patients
where
they
need
to
go
next
seems
to
be
a
pervasive
problem
in
this
unit.
I've
come
to
expect
apathy
from
medical
front
desks,
but
Patricia
wasn't
just
apathetic,
she
was
completely
inept.
She
seemed
overwhelmed
the
whole
time
I
was
there
despite
what
I
would
call
light-moderate
foot
traffic.
The
nurses
simply
need
to
tell
people
where
to
go
and
consider
being
a
little
more
empathetic
to
the
patients
who
aren't
familiar
with
how
things
are
run.
In
the
end
we
got
the
care
we
needed,
but
left
feeling
like
we
were
a
nuisance
to
the
staff,
and
especially
Patricia,
to
even
be
there.
It
doesn't
have
to
be
that
way.
