I
have
been
having
lots
of
health
issues
over
the
past
two
years
and
spent
thousands
of
dollars
in
bills
at
this
hospital.
My
average
bill
for
a
procedure
has
been
often
north
of
$700!!
I
am
strongly
suspecting
they
purposefully
over-bill.
The
doctors
and
specialists
prescribe
various
tests
and
procedures,
all
of
which
are
done
on
Weill
Cornell's
premises
and
are
billed
by
them
(surprise!),
of
course,
like
candy,
without
any
concern
to
patient's
finances.
The
billed
amounts
are
very
random
(for
instance,
$657
instead
of
$650
or
$700).
How
do
they
get
away
with
this?
There's
just
one
other
competitor
in
NYC,
NYU
Langone,
who
probably
likewise
runs
a
similar
operation.
There
was
a
whole
piece
on
60
minutes
2
or
3
years
ago
about
how
hospital
conglomerates
like
this
hurt
the
consumer
and
instead
line
their
own
pockets.
People
need
to
wake
up,
organize
and
file
a
class
action
suit
against
this
place.
