Can' t even get through to get an appointment. Not surprised, Hospital is one of the worst in the city.

Do not go to this mental health clinic is the worste the mental health practitioners are under training they have no experience when it comes to ADHD go to a mental health clinic where you for sure know the mental health practitioners have evaluated many patients with ADHD or any disorder you might think you have because medicine for ADHD is very important for executive funtionining and it can cause you your delay to success just try to help dont want anyone to waste their time like i did.

I was admitted here involuntarily. They will keep you as long as they can for the max insurance payout. I was not suicidal or exhibiting serious behavior at all. I was yelled at by nurses and saw them yelling at mentally vulnerable patients who were in psychosis. It was sickening. If you go here, ask for a crayon and a notebook and document the time each incident happens so you'll have timestamps for camera footage. I wish I would have done that. A male staff member walked into my room without knocking when I could have been changing (I'm female). He didn't even acknowledge me and nonchalantly let out a loud burp as if to let me know he didn't care I was there and went to go check something in my bathroom. It was degrading. A patient urinated on the floor and staff took old bedsheets from the hamper and used those to soak it up. Once the urine was dried onto the sheets, it was picked up and placed on the radiator where patients sometimes eat their food.

Absolutely the worst. Disorganized, poorly managed, impossible to get anyone. Do not go here if you can avoid it.

I suffer major depression and was given anti-psychotic medication in the ER. The staff in the day time are fine but the night staff are incredibly rude, they make sure you know you’re the patient .

I was literally admitted for no reason I was put on medication than took off for obvious reasons as I wasnt on any medication. Didnt speak to any therapist really or had anyone check up on me most of the time I was there. Nurses were laughing at patients cursing at them and refusing to give them water and food. If I could give 0 stars I would. No security either and all ages are put together and genders. A guy hit a female in the back of the head as the nurses would never pay attention. Also a guy came into my room and tried to watch my roommate shower took almost 5 minutes for the nurses to get him out. Wouldn’t recommend coming here if you actually need psychiatric help at all.

Garbage 🗑️ they don't care about the people they are supposed to be caring for. They need new DOCTORS to help these patients in crisis. Mental health is a crisis and shouldn't be taken lightly. Self entitled Drs playing "God" with people's lives not caring about them is disgusting. I personally saw a few not one two or three which speaks volumes. You need someone on the doctors to do there jobs right by there patients not treat them like there nobodies because of there mental state.

Just don’t even bother… I understand finding a therapist/psychiatrist alone is hard right now, let alone an actually good one, but this was a complete waste of time and energy to say the least. The psychiatrists are older individuals incapable of understanding more modern problems. 30 minute therapy sessions are not enough to help anyone, especially not individuals with more complex/severe problems.

It's not the staff it's the patients every one needs help there just not enough

Jamaica hospital is the worst when it comes to treating patients who suffering from mental health issues. They ignored the patient plea for help and throw them in the psychiatric unit with a bunch of other patients. They have no regards for patients with mental health issues. Patient discharged from Jamaica hospital and a day later was admitted to another hospital because they don’t listen to patients pleas for help. I hope the State Department of Mental health can investigate and intervene so people can be treated fairly not be ignored because of their mental health issues.

So sickening to see how this place does not care about their patients! The nurses and doctors treat these vulnerable people like scum . Visitation is only 1 hr long and when I went to see a family member for that hour they made me wait almost 45 mins to see them! Mind you this was during the hour window which basically was wasted having to wait. Reception is not professional by any means along with the nurses and other staff! Mental illness is suppose to be their specialty but they treat it like a joke here. DOH needs to do an proper investigation on this dept.
