This bs hospital is very unprofessional the staff needs way more training asap at check in at the emergency entrance. they all have very nasty attitudes and the head nurse cant even say peoples names right and she did not even hold the door open for my mom to go in to check her blood pressure and my mom is having all the signs of a heart attack i need to speak to someone in the higher ups about this situation asap someone contact me. the unprofessional nurse kick me out cause my mother could not talk for her self so i was trying to talk for her cause my mom is in lots of pain and the nurse has feeling about me speaking up for my mom . Now if something happens to my mom i will be calling up a lawyer today. In fact im already calling a lawyer.

This hospital (specifically the labor and delivery department) is a perfect example of how absolutely disgusting and abhorrent the health care system has become. The staff don't have a single ounce of empathy for their patients, they're a bunch of miserable and heartless robots. If you want to feel safe and taken care of during your labor/birthing experience, this is the last place you should go to. Giving birth here is what will cause your postpartum depression! Would love to get in touch with someone from their admin team to discuss the details and specific staff involved that contributed to my review.

The photos are of the bathroom floor in my husbands hospital room at Brooklyn Hospital. I had to use the restroom after being made to wait in the lobby for 5 hours for a simple colonoscopy. We were told it would be a max of 2 hours. There was no visitor waiting room, and they required him to bring a person to help him home. The nurse who cared for him was top drawer. She had a great attitude and an even better bed side manner. I have to point out that this is the filthiest hospital I’ve honestly ever seen in my life. How they keep disease from spreading is beyond me. Janitors and entire ward wide cleans are a thing. They need a waiting room for people that have vaccination cards and masks. Also everyone needs access to their absolutely filthy bathrooms.

I was very happy with this hospital despite the bad reviews. I went there for day surgery and the team was extremely nice, attentive and professional. It wasn't dirty (on the opposite of what I've read online) and I felt safe. This was until I received the anesthesiologist bill for 4000$ (mind you, I was sedated 1 hour or so). This, even though I am well insured and received no warning of a potential out-of-network anesthesiologist. This anesthesiologists company, NAPA, has tons of disputes, complaints and negative reviews and seems to be used to fraudulent billing. My bill falls under the surprise bill act and will be disputed by my insurance, I'm here to warn you, however. Their business model consist of selling your bill to collectors.

I want to share my experience with Brooklyn Hospital Center. From the moment I got out of my Uber after flying in from Los Angeles, to entering the emergency room, their staff jumped into action. From registration to the preliminary exam. Their doctors were invested in my pain and solutions for them. This comforted me as I was in total distress. Their nurses were invested in my care, to the person moping the floor shared a smile with me and inquired about how I felt. There was a steady stream of doctors checking in on me. Their transport people taking me to x-ray or MRI, CT scan or anywhere else. They treated my loved one with the same respect and compassion! Whether it was the supervisor or department head they all were again that special word “INVESTED IN MY TREATMENT”. My celebrity friends that came through to the unknown person that visited me, they were all treated with the same respect! Dr. Sylvie de Souza to nurse Hakeem to tech Ms. Warner and to the names that I either didn’t know or remember. I salute everyone at Brooklyn Hospital Center and highly recommend them to anyone in medical distress. They would be my first choice. Respectfully and with gratitude. Dan Pearson

I'm making Brooklyn Hospital Mines. I am still here. I had to have emergency surgery I'm in the recovery room. The doctors and the nurses' care have been awesome. They attended to my issues with care. All my nurses were awesome, but Nurse White, who has been taking care of me in the endoscopy recovery room, is heavenly. Now, there were a few nurses and doctors who talked to the homeless and inmate clients in a very disrespectful manner, yet another Dr or nurse came and addressed their issues and with care. Overall, compared to the treatment at other hospitals, Brooklyn is on top of the list. I went to downstate last year for the same issue that almost took my life presently. Downstate sat me in the room for an hour. Only did a covid test. Came back said I had covid and tried to give me meds. (I been inside I never had covid) I left took a covid test that was negative. They never took blood, urine, CT scan, sono nothing. It is sad that Down State treats people as such, but I recommend Brooklyn Hospital to all. I have no complaints they seem to enjoy they jobs and caring for others. I give 5 stars

I had to take an ambulance to the ER due to a kidney stone. I was in severe pain and was violently vomiting. While I was getting registered, the people at the desk were playfully hitting each other with clipboards, laughing, and singing to Christmas music. After 40 minutes, I was put on a bed and wheeled to a hallway. I ended up never getting seen by anyone. I was in the hallway for 2 hours until a janitor moved me to a different spot to sweep the floor. I tried saying “excuse me” multiple times to nurses walking by but they would ignore me as if they didn’t hear anything — even when I asked for the restroom. Of the ones who did respond, all they said was “i don’t know sorry i can’t help you.” No one attended to me and I was completely ignored even while in extreme pain. It was horrible. I stayed for another hour and a half then just walked out and ubered home without anyone asking me why I was leaving. I’ve never felt more neglected and humiliated in my life. Absolutely horrible. Zero stars.

LIFT THE 3-6PM VISITATION! Are you going to lift the visitation hours from 3-6pm? The covid numbers went down and there is no government mask mandate. People need to see their relatives more than 3 hours. There's nothing that can be done in 3 hours if you're a family member that really makes sure the person you're visiting is eating, drinking, cleaned up, listening to music, talking or doing a simple puzzle with those who have had strokes. Some patients do not eat the food there and what happens if they don't eat there until a visitation????? This is the torture and needs to be revisited ASAP. ENOUGH ALREADY!

This is the best place for any surgery you may need to take. Very attentive and caring staff. Made me feel comfortable during my stay for surgery and took their time to example everything I needed to know regarding my situation. I highly recommend this hospital for weight loss surgery and their nutrition workshops. This was a great experience for me and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to meet a great surgeon team when I was there as well as the nurses.

I was admitted for asthma after one of the most miserable emergency room visits I have ever had in my life anywhere. It was like I was treating myself. Now I’m admitted and as I lay in my broken hospital bed that’s extremely uncomfortable. I realize how the sheets have holes in them, the heat is stuck on blast, no toilet paper in bathroom but I did see a roach. The shower has mildew. If you value your life do not come here for any pulmonary issues.

I want to express my deep appreciation for the exceptional care my mom received in the emergency room. Doctors and the entire medical team were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and thorough. Their dedication to her well-being was evident, making a challenging situation more manageable. I'm truly grateful for the outstanding care provided by the staff at Brooklyn Hospital. Thank you!

DO NOT EVER COME HERE FOR GENETICS THEY LOST MY FIRST TEST THEN WHEN I COME HERE THE SECOND TIME NO ONE IS IN THE OFFICE, 15 MIN LATER A LADY COMES IN AND STARTS TO TEND TO THE PATIENTS WHO CAME AFTER ME, WHEN I APPROACH HER SHE TELLS ME TO WAIT. SHE BEGINS TO PROCESS THE PEOPLE WHO CAME AFTER ME, AND THEN SAYS ITS POLICY TO TAKE CARE OF THE PERSON WHOS APPOINTMENT IS FIRST. (NEVER ONCE WHEN SHE CAME SHE ASKS WHO WAS HERE FIRST AND TO AT LEAST LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS OCCURRING) BUT SHE WAS MAKING HER LUNCH ORDER CAUSE LUNCH IS GONNA BE HERE TODAY

I had a bicycle accident. The ER CT scan was running on a generator, so they wouldn't check to see if I was bleeding internally. No working lights so they used my cell phone light to inspect my injury. Seriously. I had an open wound and asked multiple times for ibuprofen which they denied. I left crying in pain just so I could get some ibuprofen. Avoid this unprofessional place at all costs. I had to later go to real ER because I was worried that I had internal bleeding.

The staff is lazy, they don’t answer the phone never reply to my chart and they’re rude. The manager is no help all she do is make excuses for how fake backed up her staff is. She can’t even get in contact with her doctor or she just don’t feel like it.I had to change my doctor because she didn’t believe me when I told her I’m having bad cramps while being 5 months pregnant. My new doctor is nice but is too “busy” to fill out paperwork. They need to really get it together in the women’s health center because they staff they have sucks. What’s the point of having my chart or phone if theirs never a reply.

The Brooklyn Hospital Centre is terrible hospital with Women's Health Center for pregnancy, and private affiliates gynecologists and obstetrics doctors, especially Natasha Fievre, MD- Director, Ambulatory Women's Health Services, Physicians Pavilion, 86 Saint Felix Street, 6th Floor. They did not provide any help in extremely difficult situations. After visiting Women’s Health Center , they sent me to Women’s Health Service where I met Natasha Fievre, MD. She did not help me either and sent me to emergency room in the Brooklyn Hospital Centre, where I spent there 10 hours from 11 am to 9 pm with my women’s issues health. I even can’t describe how bad this experience was. Not anyone takes care about me there, not anyone. So, please, don’t go there and don’t trust these doctors. They are not interested in helping patients at all. Thinking 7 times before you trust your life and health these people. They are pretty bad with all medicine services which they provide.

The staff is unprofessional and makes patients feel like they’re circus animals. I did not enjoy how I was treated during my 3 DAY WAIT for a room in the ER. It felt like there was a consistent desire from the doctors and nurses to study you and make you feel like you were an experiment and all of their probing felt nonconsensual. I urge anyone that has a medical emergency to not go to this hospital.

Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had in an ER. After an hour of vomiting in the waiting room, the receptionist doing my intake kept getting upset at me for being unable to speak due to the amount of pain and suffering I was going through. Then instead of advocating for me to get inside sooner, she told me to ask the nurse when I see her how long it’s gonna be. Yeah, as if I’m the one who works here and knows who exactly the nurse is that’s going to be triaging me. Then once I finally got put into a bed, I got stuck with an incompetent nurse who wanted to gossip and play games all day, instead of actually idk, nursing me back to health. I was told I was going to get an IV and some meds, he comes in, sets down all the stuff he needs to administer the IV, and leaves. For two hours. I’m still vomiting and had to get up and go over to the desk to REMIND HIM that he never did my IV. Everytime I’d see him he was sitting at his computer, or flirting with female nurses. It also didn’t help that when he finally did put the IV in me, he had no idea how to put a line in a hand, repeatedly stabbing me anyways knowing he wasn’t able to put the IV in my hand, and blamed it on my veins even though I always had them put in my hands in the past. So as he’s putting it in my arm, of course he forgets to add the attachment that stops the blood from just pouring out of me, so my arm, clothes, bed and floor were completely covered in my blood. What does he do next? He picks up a napkin he dropped on the FLOOR and proceeds to clean me up with it. I immediately said what the hell are you doing, and he goes “it’s ok it’s just around the IV you’ll be fine”….. when I told this to the next nurse, because i was there for over 15 hours, her eyes almost bulged out of her head because she knew what that nurse did to me was wrong. I will be filing a formal complaint about this and I urge everyone to please avoid this emergency room. They released me without even seeing if I could hold down any food and guess what, I’m still sick 4 days later and traumatized with the idea of having to go to another ER. Also thanks to the doctor who rolled his eyes at me when I said I needed something stronger than tylenol for pain. If tylenol helped, I obviously wouldn’t be in the emergency room. I get better treatment at the free clinics in the Dominican Republic, nuff said. You don’t use things that have touched the floor.

Currently waiting in the emergency room and waiting for my blood labs to come. Considering the pandemic, staff don’t seem to care that a dirty bum coming into the room with no shoes, and barley covering himself with a face mask to use the phone walk with his dirty hands and coughing on it. And what’s even worse he spits on the floor and nearby seats where patients would sit. The staff see and don’t seem to care, they would rather much prefer to gossip with coworkers and barely doing work and making sure patients are getting their charts seen on time.

Delivered my baby here. Every worker in the Department of Labor and Delivery here was super professional. They treated us like a King and Queen. We've received a very good care from the nurses and doctors. Highly recommended. I took one star off for the attitude of the receptionists and the security of the main entrance. You guys are the face of the hospital but were very arrogant and provided ZERO help.

You’d feel more at peace laying on the streets, than being treated at this hospital. This hospital is a medical disservice to society. Except for a veryyyy few select nurses the rest of the hospital staff needs to be tested for drugs. And possibly their degrees and qualifications should be scrutinized again. This includes the doctors here too. I’ve literally seen patients left here “accidentally” unassigned for an entire day because someone forgot to do their job. This hospital needs to be shutdown. People are literally being killed here because of gross negligence. I’d love to Have the option to give this place one star.

Hello all. I had my hernia surgery at Brooklyn Hospital December 13, 2023. I of course was very nervous, especially since this was my first surgery. And I always found hospitals to be giant, unfriendly places. Brooklyn Hospital was the opposite! They treated me like I was family. Warm and friendly. Everyone greeted me by saying their names first. They were compassionate and understanding. As I waited in pre-op, I watched surgeons, nurses and other professionals bustling about. They exhibited the utmost professionalism. They understood what their mission was, and embraced it, knowing they were making a difference. The surgeon. Dr. Luca Milone used the DaVinci robot brilliantly. He found several hernias in me and took whatever time to fix them all. The incisions are miniscule, and after just a few days, the pain from the procedure is almost completely gone. Every person I dealt with that day; from initial intake to the recovery room, made me feel special and well cared for. My Brooklyn Hospital experience was the best hospital experience ever!

I did not have a great experience here. The place is disorganized and lacking in staff. They kept scurrying about trying to locate patients. They lacked places to put patients so they lumped us outside of really sick patients in their beds in ER. These issues have nothing to do with the actual staff per se. The outtake person when I was leaving the hospital was on her phone and was not too pleasant. I spent 8 hours there trying to get stitches. The surgeon who did my stitches was great.

This hospital has declined terribly over the past few years. Its a shame to be in the heart of Brooklyn and to be so disgusting with roaches see pic 5, attitudes and service. Being born and raised in Brooklyn I am appalled at what the hospital has become. If I could give the negative stars I would. Do not bring your family here...

My name is Audra. I have been coming to Brooklyn hospital for about 5 years now. I have mostly been coming in and out with Endocarditis. It's when your heart is infected. I know I'm rough on the staff because I mostly always come in when I can't take the pain and sickness anymore. It's because I know when I do finally come to the emergency room, I'm always admitted and end up here for at least a month, if not 2 or 3 months. It really takes alot out of me. But getting to the point, I truly appreciate all the staff at Brooklyn hospital, doctors, nurses, patient care techs, and all of the hospital staff that do all the test to tell docs and nurses what to treat me for. Also the people that prepare and serve me my food everyday. Hoping I haven't forgotten anyone, I just want to tell everyone that I truly appreciate everybody. The nurses and doctors especially I give all my love to because they work very hard to get me better and well enough to walk out of here winning another battle. Thank you a million times. To everyone that do a little or a whole lot getting me strong and back to myself. God Bless all of you.

Someone else brought me here while I was unconscious. When I was woken up, it was only to give me a stack of papers & ask if I had a way to get home (didn't even formally tell me I was ready to leave). I had no idea what even happened & I wasn't about to ask bc they seemed in a rush to get rid of me. Nothing else was asked or communicated to me. The papers only had general information about my condition. It said my name & a few other identifiers, but NOTHING about my specific case or the treatment I was given. I had my fingers & hand pricked while unconscious and have no idea why, let alone the results. Also, the woman in the room next to me had peed herself & needed to keep yelling out for someone to help her. It took forever for someone to even acknowledge her.

I visit Brooklyn hospital children health center this morning at 10.30 am. The person in front desk was so rude and cruel. She took my son’s insurance and keep it for 45 minutes in midterm she put progress the people who came after me. She was treating me as a beggar. Like I am here to ask favor from her but I was there to scheduled appointment for my toddler. Since she seen I cover my head she change her behavior. So rude and ugly. Reall disappointed this early morning. I believe this hospital for all religious and all kind of people. This is totally unexpected.

I would to share my experience with the Brooklyn Hospital. I had never been there before but I can say that it was an absolute pleasure to be there. Not only was the visit quick and informative, the staff treated me with respect and made me feel attended to. Today one month after my surgery, the doctors are still calling and following up with me. I read a few reviews on here that said that the staff was unprofessional, clearly they made a conscious effort to better themselves. My experience was very professional and would definitely recommend.

Reviewing my birth experience here- everything went well and the staff was mostly gentle and very attentive. Very clean Private birthing rooms and private postpartum room with park views. I had the pleasure to work with midwife Mimi who only works on Tuesdays. 3 hours later, super natural birth, I’m here with my baby feeling elated and cared for. Lactation nurse was helpful as well. Thank you!!!

It’s been 33 yrs that I haven’t come to this hospital and decided to finally give it another try. The ER was busy so getting in was a bit of a wait but the staff were all very helpful and made it a bit easier to deal with the mayhem that happens in the ER. I was admitted and have been here a week and I must say that every single person helping me from doctors to nurses to students to food service to housekeeping have been great and extremely helpful!! The one thing that stopped me from giving a 5 star review is the air conditioning! As I said before I have been here a week and it’s barely working! Today the temperature outside went to over 90 degrees and it was hot in here! It’s a hospital the ac is supposed to work! Facilities at this hospital needs to do better with the ac or you will lose some great workers and patients. To everyone who helped me heal THANK YOU!!!

One of the worst hospitals I have been to. The doctors, the nurses and the staff are not coordinating with each other and makes patient pay for it. Every patient here has to wait inline for nothing. The receptionists are attitude specialists and instead of helping they show they have power and shout at other patients. They seriously need some training. All other reviews say the same. I was tired to see how they were treating another patient at Counter 2. Please avoid...

The prior authorization was not done.. How come they waited so long to tell me that I could've gotten it resolved... The receptionist on duty was clueless couldn't find me a straight answer and patient relation forget about it no help....

My experience at Brooklyn Hospital Center was the best. I had weight loss surgery and Dr. Howell, Melanie MD was a wonderful, she make sure that everything was comfortable for me and the staff made me comfortable to. They make sure that you have all your paperwork and that you are ready for your surgery. Thanks to everyone in the office for being there for me.

Great experience with the OB/GYN department at Brooklyn Hospital. Due to a medical condition when I was pregnant I was on bed rest for 5weeks and the staff in OB/GYN treating me like family! I couldn't ask for more through treatment from hospital staff. Dr. Byer is ABSOLUTELY amazing! So glad I chose this Dr. and hospital.

Longest wait ive ever experienced in an ER. The staff was completely disorganized and seemed to have no idea what waa going on. One patient near me removed his own IV because after he asked 5 times, no one had come to do it. My friend had to chase down doctors and nurses at every step in order to get me treatment. Then as icing on the cake they sent the prescription I needed to the wrong pharmacy delaying my treatment further. While the staff was kind, they dont seem to be supported at all by the institution.

My father waited an hour in the ER until I had to demand someone see him when he was in extreme pain. Took them 4 hours just to transfer my father into general admittance. Their pharmacy prescribed one thing while verbally saying he should take something else. A complete disorganized mess where the staff is busy talking to each other at their desks. The only people who really worked their butts off was one doctor at the desk, and a doctor names angie in the er. If you're going to come here for help, be prepared for a horrible time.

Run as far away as you can from the Pediatric ER Department and Pediatric Unit. After visiting the ER a 2nd day in a row due to my daughter suffering from dehydration, I came into the ER unit after my 10 month old was triaged. I knocked on the door, only to have a guest open the door upon entry?...Why wasn't a staff member around to open the door? Upon entry, the head doctor walks right past me with no acknowledgement whatsoever, along with two nurses. I had to become verbal in order for someone to attend to my daughter. After she was unfortunately admitted, I arrived in the pediatric unit and that experience in itself was atrocious and horrible!!!..Oh and to top if off, NO reputable doctors were around and were all out for the holiday season, so only the resident doctors were available. After being there for one day, my daughter had to receive additional bloodwork and that was a nightmare just to take her blood. After the first two times of attempting to draw my daughters blood (in intervals) they tried a third time and wasn't successful. The residents then had to call and bring a NP from the NICU side and finally she was able to successfully draw blood from my daughter. But tell me this...WHY NOT AFTER THE 2nd UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT WOULDN'T THESE DOCTORS HAVE CALLED THE NP FROM THE NICU INSTEAD OF BRUISING UP MY DAUGHTERS VEINS? THIRDLY, everyone's bedside manner at this hospital is very unprofessional and really didn't treat my 10 month old daughter with the TLC manner of the usual Pediatric Unit. To top things off, on the 2nd day she was there, there was only ONE nurse available for the entire unit. I overheard the nurse inform a resident that the reason was due to a nurse who was scheduled to show up, but never showed up to work!! Seriously??..This place is a joke for children and obviously from the very poor bedside manner, my daughter inadequately being checked on shows not even being a patient in a Pediatric Unit here matters.

I have a serious medical condition -I have to deal with and I'm dealing with long waits, staff joking around, doctors not communicating with other! Very unprofessional, unfortunately my primary doctor and my surgeon is affiliated with this hospital ?! I went to oncology department today (11-4-19) the nurse tries to take care of everyone by herself (chemotherapy, blood work, b12 shots, etc) clearly she needs two more nurses in that room for help! THEY NEED TO GET MORE NURSES IN THE ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY ADDRESS THIS QUICKLY! I WOULD RATE THIS HOSPITAL -1,AT ONE TIME IT WAS GREAT-THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS NEED TO IMPROVE MISMANAGEMENT NOW!

Visited their ER, found the whole experience to be pretty smooth, not a terrible wait for a Saturday afternoon and the other patients were all nice to one another which is always helpful in these situations. Triage nurse was very kind. Doctor was attentive and I liked his pierced ears. As long as I don’t have any insurance issues it will be an overall good experience.

I say 3 hours because that is when I left. no one even noticed that I left. if you have no desire to live check yourself in there. this place needs to be reported and shut down by the state. every single negative review is REAL. I just left here for what I deemed a medical emergency & although it turned out not to be as serious as I thought, the wait did not take as long as some reviews say. They are very busy but that’s to be expected as it’s a hospital. I also somehow left my wallet behind & a really nice lady called me to let me know (a life saver in not just the obvious way!). The security guard & nice lady returned it with everything in it and I wish I would’ve gotten their names but I was tired. If you guys see this, please find out who they are and give them a raise, they deserve it!

Over a 3 hr wait for a 5 min procedure. Absolutely one of the WORST hospitals in NYC!!! If I could give it no stars I would.

I would absolutely recommend you AVOID going to any locations of the Brooklyn Hospital Center. They are awful and will try to SCAM you into taking additional appointments that you do NOT need. I came in for an annual physical and got bloodwork completed. Upon leaving, the woman at the front desk handed me an appointment confirmation for the doctor to "go over my bloodwork results". I asked her if this was necessary, as I could just view my bloodwork results online. She didn't give me an option to decline this appointment and rushed me out the door. Dr. Chen did call me to tell me the "bloodwork results look great" and we hung up. The call took about 20 seconds. They billed me $130 for a telephone appointment. If this isn't a scam, I'm not sure what is. I politely reached out to billing and Dr. Chen, who were less than helpful. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment and will pay the $130 to not deal with their miserable staff ever again. If you are looking for a physician, I highly recommend going to One Medical instead. I've always had a pleasant experience with their staff and team of Doctors.

I had a kidney biopsy here in the radiology department a couple years ago. The doctor and the resident who were involved with the procedure were friendly, upbeat and seemed to care. First let me point out I am a polite, grateful and an easy patient. I have given birth without any drugs so I know extreme pain. During the procedure I was given an injection of a local anesthesia at the biopsy site, but partway through I began to experience a lot of unexpected discomfort and was involuntarily tensing my body. I then heard the doctor order fentanyl and versed; a few minutes later a nurse injected into a port on my IV what was supposed to be medicine to alleviate my pain. I have NEVER taken or have been given any opiates, opioids, or pain medication stronger than a prescription strength dosage of ibuprofen. The “medication” did NOTHING at all. Being opioid-naive, I should have felt some relief, right? I guess I thought at the time I was given a micro dose or something. The doctor then appeared to find me ridiculous for continuing to exhibit pain behavior and told me to breathe better. Later, I was able to give what happened more thought, and it occurred to me that plain old saline was likely what was injected into the IV instead of fentanyl and versed. Doctors and nurses: Most patients aren’t drug addicts. Instead of dismissing their pain and basically implying “it’s all in your head,” or they’re unreasonable babies, consider they may be getting saline instead of what you ordered. Someone is likely stealing the pain drugs and replacing them with saline.

Terrible “help”. My niece was rushed to the emergency room because she had gotten the liquid from a tide pod in her eye. Of course her parent flushed her eye multiple time at home but wanted to be safe and took her to the emergency room anyway. After an hour she was finally seen, and of course as a 3 year old she was fussy as the doctor was trying to flush her eye with the saline wash. As the pediatrician on duty, instead of having patience he stated “you know I have other patients right”. That was disgusting behavior, so much so that my sister left.

The medical record staff I spoke to was very nasty and rude The supervisor was nevertheless the same Took a very long time to answer the she acted like it was not her job from the first person answering the phone. They rumble their names. There need to be some type off hospitality training for these clerks. They are on the job a very long time. And May don’t care about the job anymore. My advice to mist off these older workers is retire. If the job becomes a burden someone else will gladly be happy to take you place. The job pays. You a salary which you are happy for at the end off 2 weeks if. U do not like the job please quit. Let another person have the job. There is a lot off unemployed folks out there. Who will do much better than you all.

This hospital has gone downhill. My mother was recently here because of a health scare. The appearance itself is horrible. There is no AC flowing through the hospital. Some of the staff needs to be replaced or trained how to properly care for people who are in the hospital to get well. Big question: Since when have they decided to release someone on a weekend? I can't believe I delivered my daughter in this hospital. Please get this hospital to be a hospital again or just close it. People are wasting their money coming to this hospital,

I went to their ED as a walk-in and to my surprise there were very few people ahead of me. I was triaged quickly, seen by a doctor who quickly diagnosed my condition, explained possible causes, and ordered a stat RX which was administered by a nurse, and the additional meds was sent to a pharmacy across from the hospital, and it was waiting for me by the time I got there. My problem cleared up within a few days! Needless to say, I was very happy with my urgent care.

good experience at the ER/ felt safe. I’m anemic and was dealing with an infection. Because I looked like I was about to faint, they helped me in a bed immediately and got me attention until I was more stable. It did take forever, but I was triaged to the back after normalizing. Very caring/ thorough team. My only complaint is one nurse who tried to IV me and after jabbing me 3 times told me that my vein rolling was my own fault and i made her take the IV out. Rest of staff was attentive though.

The front desk staffs are not really nice to patients. And the management should do something about the waiting time, My appointment was at 10.45am , I waited 1.5 hours and didn’t even see the nurse. When I asked why it’s taking so long? Horrible mode of payment in a fully automated world. They offer a website to create and manage your account but my xray billing at the emergency is nowhere to be found. I went on the the second podiatrist visit so after the appointment i went to the billing department at the second floor to pay but are saying they don’t accept payment for that specific billing that i can only pay via phone call. I tried and call the billing department which is only open 9am to 3pm. Very inconvenient times for people working 8am to 5pm. Anyway i tried calling yesterday to pay during my lunch break and i am pretty sure i’ve given all the correct information of the card i used to pay but received an email this morning saying the payment is unsuccessful. So i guess today i have to use my lunch break to call them back talking of so much inconvenience.

A resident Dr in the ER @ Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center was the 1st to actually diagnose me correctly with a chronic health condition. I have been going there for almost 3 years but now I need to change Drs because I was over medicated months ago & it has affecting me badly now. Also, it is very hard to get in touch with anyone by phone. You literally have to go there in person to speak to Drs. or nurses. The ambulatory care center & other departments are always crowded to max capacity & the air conditioning in the whole BHMC never works. Last year when I was in the ER the medical staff was actually walking out during their shifts because of the lack of air conditioning. Anyone with an underlying chronic health condition is at risk of catching something every time they go to this facility because there is no air conditioning. I don't understand how this facility will fix it's ER every few years yet can' t fix the air conditioning. BTW the ER doesn't have enough room. If you go use the bathroom your seat or bed will be gone when you get back.

Horrible Nurses. I recently got umbilical hernia surgery here. I was in tremendous pain after the surgery and the Nurse made a sarcastic joke about me in being in pain. How dare you tell a joke when your patient is begging for help in pain. You can tell everyone there hates there job and don’t really wanna be there. They all had nasty attitudes and had nothing organized everything and everyone was a mess some of them don’t how to communicate properly and some of them are racist. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL It is 🥵 a HOT MESS🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Disorganized, rude, unhelpful. The staff made repeated mistakes with my prescription refill, did not admit to any wrongdoing, and offered no apology for the huge inconvenience they caused. They assured me 3 times (on 3 different days) that my prescription had been called in, when it had not. It took several phone calls, trips to two different pharmacies, and many days to get a simple refill. Additionally, the family medicine office switches doctors on you with no prior notice, so you don't know who you'll see until you show up. Plus, it takes over a month to get an appointment with your primary care doctor. Unsurprisingly, they're all about the bottom line and NOT about patient care.

I give this hospital 0 stars their performance in any health departments are always bad, you have employees walking around doing nothing talking to co-coworkers playing on phones and computers. And be prepared to wait for more then 2 hours or more no matter what's your appointments are and time or emergency there is a long waiting period. Yesterday I had to walk out from radiology I was told if I can wait 30 to 40 minutes I said ok and I had another appointment and still they did not care and an hour and 10 minutes pass especially if something simple like polygam screening i watch how they pick up form and put back and pick another form they picking who they want to help. I have so much video's and audios on this place its so bad how they treat patients. This is why I'm always going to manhattan and they are much better and quicker. Pretty soon investigation will take place. Who ever own this place you should be ashamed of yourself. Only 10 % of the doctors do thier job right. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here trust me stay away at all costs their are way more better services else where.

I’ve been hospitalized many times in NY, NJ, MA hospitals and then “Bklyn”. I’ve always had an excellent experience with the nursing care in all of these hospitals, except Bklyn Hospital ! Nursing care was poor, or if possible, worse than any physician’s office, Urgent Care Center or other hospitals I’ve been admitted to and/their ED. So, I’m not a novice to the system or how procedures operate, in Particular, being in the Pharma industry and working with hospitals daily. SHAME on Bklyn hospital for hiring less than knowledgeable RN’s and/or short staffing the help. Seriously, wouldn’t take a sick dog to this hospital after my experience. Apologies, for the poor, but deserved review.

They charged me $2,774.80 for a tetanos(tdap) shot which it took for them 4 hours to make after my beggings. A phd student did it in 3 seconds after 4 hours waiting of a doctor while all the patients were desperately waiting for a doctor. Other than this shot, I had zero care given all the time. This is the biggest scam I’ve ever had in my life. This health system needs to be changed asap!

Came into the hospital for a cut on my left index finger and waited an excess of 6+ hours to be seen and receive stitches. Upon asking for updates, hospital staff repeatedly report that the doctors are way behind on patients and that I haven’t been assigned a provider yet. Abhorrent service and will make sure to avoid here coming here for medical attention in the future!!

This is the hospital I would go to if I no longer had any will to live. The individuals here aren't bad, but as a whole, this hospital is wholly incompetent, irresponsible, and borderline fraudulent. Their services are non-existent, medical care that of a third-world country, and lack basic communication standards. If I were dying of a heart attack, I would have a better chance of surviving on the streets than at this hospital. To the administration: do better. You probably don't care, and know you how incompetent your organization is, but know that thousands of people who step into your hospital end up having worse lives because they could've gotten better care elsewhere. Congratulations on killing otherwise healthy individuals. You've truly made a mark on this world.

I am compelled to share the distressing experience I encountered at Brooklyn Hospital's emergency room. On the day in question, I sought immediate medical attention for my injured wrist - an ailment that undeniably required professional care. To my dismay, the services at the facility fell gravely short of acceptable standards. Despite the evident urgency conveyed by an emergency room visit, I languished in the waiting area for an egregious duration exceeding six hours. One would reasonably anticipate that such an extensive wait would culminate in a consultation with a healthcare practitioner. Regrettably, this was not to be the case for me. The ordeal concluded without any medical attention bestowed upon me. I vacated the premises, still burdened by my unattended-to injury, and entirely without the professional medical evaluation or treatment I sought. This experience not only reflects a severe lack of efficiency within the hospital’s emergency services but also a disconcerting disregard for patient welfare and time. It is disheartening to witness such a breakdown in healthcare delivery, especially in an emergency context where every second counts. I can only hope that this review prompts Brooklyn Hospital to urgently reassess and revamp their approach to emergency care, ensuring that no other individual must endure such a negligent experience.

Truly disgusting hospital. The doctors there dont care about you. My sister had a stroke and she handed disability papers for them to fill out and no one wanted to sign then it took them two weeks. The documents were passed on to 3 different attending doctors one of which who went on a one week vacation without completing the forms. The attending doctor who substituted for her absence refused to sign my sisters papers after he stated to the social worker that he would sign them. Then proceeded to say he had no information on the patient to sign off on the documents which raises another red flag. Doctors at this hospital do not have the slightest clue about whats going on with the patient’s they are responsible for.

I found the service at this hospital to be very professional. I was a patient on the seventh floor, and I received excellent care From the medical staff, nursing staff. They seem to be well dedicated workers to their profession.
