Run
as
far
away
as
you
can
from
the
Pediatric
ER
Department
and
Pediatric
Unit.
After
visiting
the
ER
a
2nd
day
in
a
row
due
to
my
daughter
suffering
from
dehydration,
I
came
into
the
ER
unit
after
my
10
month
old
was
triaged.
I
knocked
on
the
door,
only
to
have
a
guest
open
the
door
upon
entry?...Why
wasn't
a
staff
member
around
to
open
the
door?
Upon
entry,
the
head
doctor
walks
right
past
me
with
no
acknowledgement
whatsoever,
along
with
two
nurses.
I
had
to
become
verbal
in
order
for
someone
to
attend
to
my
daughter.
After
she
was
unfortunately
admitted,
I
arrived
in
the
pediatric
unit
and
that
experience
in
itself
was
atrocious
and
horrible!!!..Oh
and
to
top
if
off,
NO
reputable
doctors
were
around
and
were
all
out
for
the
holiday
season,
so
only
the
resident
doctors
were
available.
After
being
there
for
one
day,
my
daughter
had
to
receive
additional
bloodwork
and
that
was
a
nightmare
just
to
take
her
blood.
After
the
first
two
times
of
attempting
to
draw
my
daughters
blood
(in
intervals)
they
tried
a
third
time
and
wasn't
successful.
The
residents
then
had
to
call
and
bring
a
NP
from
the
NICU
side
and
finally
she
was
able
to
successfully
draw
blood
from
my
daughter.
But
tell
me
this...WHY
NOT
AFTER
THE
2nd
UNSUCCESSFUL
ATTEMPT
WOULDN'T
THESE
DOCTORS
HAVE
CALLED
THE
NP
FROM
THE
NICU
INSTEAD
OF
BRUISING
UP
MY
DAUGHTERS
VEINS?
THIRDLY,
everyone's
bedside
manner
at
this
hospital
is
very
unprofessional
and
really
didn't
treat
my
10
month
old
daughter
with
the
TLC
manner
of
the
usual
Pediatric
Unit.
To
top
things
off,
on
the
2nd
day
she
was
there,
there
was
only
ONE
nurse
available
for
the
entire
unit.
I
overheard
the
nurse
inform
a
resident
that
the
reason
was
due
to
a
nurse
who
was
scheduled
to
show
up,
but
never
showed
up
to
work!!
Seriously??..This
place
is
a
joke
for
children
and
obviously
from
the
very
poor
bedside
manner,
my
daughter
inadequately
being
checked
on
shows
not
even
being
a
patient
in
a
Pediatric
Unit
here
matters.
