As I stay in this dungeon of a "hotel" tricked by my lack of due diligence and poor travel lodging plans I write this with disappointment in myself. I'm a Cyberpunk 2077 fan but I did not know that I would be staying in a "hotel" that one would find in Night City Mega Block. Regardless of the beautiful days that I've had traveling about New York on my trip this place is the forever darkness. Ran down, deprived, ages of grit from the uncleanliness baked into every wall, floor and fixture is the only way to visually describe it. As you walk in the automated doors the feeling of a rabbit walking into a caged trap is unpreventable. If that doesn't trigger your flight reflex their "guest food center" which consists of an old soda machine that you would like in a laundry mat and one ( 1 ) highly used, questionable $35 microwave. I would feel bad for a fly if it were to venture in it for a snack let alone a human placing actual food in it that they intend on consuming. If you find the courage to venture out of your quarters at night into the decrepit hallways of this structure called a "hotel" brace yourself for anything and be prepared to possibly have to fight or run. I will not go any further into details regarding this place. For lack of other options last minute at a reasonable price I am stranded until my flight tomorrow. I write this as I sit at what appears to be the cleanest space in the room as I hear an argument in the next room between a "lady of the night" and her "customer" over money. You've been warned...

Made reservations and when I arrived they give a key. The room was not clean. Bed dirty and unmade, towels in the floor. When I told him he offered 2 other room keys. Both rooms where dirty and he try to give me sheets and towels so I have to make the bed. At least the desk guy refunded me. That is at 130 am and I have to walk and find another hotel who can take me.!! Get out of this business

100% accurate with the rest of the 1 star reviews. If I could give NO stars, I would. I have never in my life witnessed or been inside of a worse hotel. First, the area seems sketchy. Upon entering the hotel, you can tell it hasn’t been cleaned in ages- floor disgusting, old couches in the lobby. It REEKS of pot and cigarettes. Got to our room and there was a ton of noise from neighboring rooms and banging on doors. Inside of the room- holes in the blanket/comforter, old party decorations on the ceiling, hair on the floors and towels, stains on sheets, nightstand was disgusting with jelly-like substance and looks like it hasn't been cleaned, and also REEKED of pot/cigarettes. Honestly don’t know how this place is up and running, or how it even has 3 stars. We stayed for 5 minutes to rebook at a legit hotel and left within a total of 10 mins of checking in. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Worst hotel I've ever used. I booked this because we had a cancelled flight out of JFK and it had a 3 star rating and it was late at night. I should have read reviews! The lobby was old and bare bones. Receptionist was efficient. After check in, ride up elevator and hallway reeked of pot smoke. The room had torn coverings on headboards, stank of lots of old cigarette smoke, dirty towels on bathroom counter with open used bar of soap. I inspected beds, and sheets were clean and smelled fresh. Shower and tub were clean with modern updated fixtures. Beds were very comfortable, ( but we had been up for 26 hours after long flights from Europe and standing 5 hours in line at JFK to rebook flights ). Too exhausted to. search elsewhere for room at 1100pm. Next morning after check out we were sitting on steps waiting for a cab, when 2 undercover police officers drove up and interegated us for why we are there. Turns out this was a high crime area and this hotel is known for drug deals and " Ladies of the Night". Do not stay here!!! Photos of room and view from window.

Absolute dive of a place, first room we were given there was some one all ready staying in. The second room the blankets were crusty floors and bathroom a mess. Strong smell if smoke. Safety locks on doors were broke off. Wouldn't let a place like that board the pocket gophers from my yard.

Hotel is awful. From the lobby where there are 2 broken dirty sofas ( 1 of it closes access to second floor) it is dirty and is stinked by smoke. Suspicious persons go around. Although I ordered room for non smokers they gave me room smelling by cigarettes. Floors are sticky. There are holes in curtains. Heater doesn't work. Only 6 channels for TV. And 2 small soaps in the bath room, no shampoo, lotion. Terrible experience!

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. There was blood on our door, puke on the sheets, and our door was graffiti. Smelled like weed and very very unsafe. I left within 30 minutes of walking in. Only was there for that long to figure out a new hotel to stay. They are not willing to give me a refund, the man I spoke with started yelling at me on the phone. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Will never ever be back or recommend to anyone.

Took over one FULL hour to check in. Young lady ( maybe college age or even as young as high school) was talking on the phone and completely oblivious to anyone that was checking in. She honestly looked high, which would not be a surprise, since there were 5 teenagers sitting in the lobby rolling blunts. That second hand must’ve really gotten to her. The area is SUPER sketchy. Lots of random teens in the lobby using the property as a place to chill and smoke weed and sprawl out on the couches. These were clearly not guests in the hotel. If management is too afraid to ask them to leave, they need to invest in a security guard. Also, rooms were decent, but reeked of smells that I didn’t even know existed. Please, spare yourself and find another place to spend the night.

Do not stay at this hotel. Its worse than a 1 star. From start to finish, the advertisements on this hotel are not correct. The entire hotel reaks of cigarette smoke and weed. The room had graffiti on the door and there was trash in the hall. The mattresses were wrapped in plastic.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in my life. I was afraid for my life I was afraid in general. So people if you want to be safe and feel safe never ever go there. I was there with my friend, but still it was scary. Room is tiny and dirty, bathroom is dirty, no clean bed and no clean spot at all. We just needed to sleep because of the long car trip. And I needed to be Jamaica in the morning so it was desperate decision. But for sure better to book the hotel somewhere in Manhattan or any other safer place in NY or NJ.

In my 30 years of travelling I have never come across anything as worst as this. We reached the hotel at 4am which was almost the end of the day. When we entered the room its was in a mess, no room service was done. The floor was dirty, dirty towels, used soap bars in the toilet, dirty bed linens and many more. When I approached the front desk to complain about this issue, he said he could not do anything as all the rooms were full and at that time there was no room service available. We had to spend the whole paid night in that dirty room without any compensation. That's not all, in the morning when I asked for breakfast which was included in the booking, the front desk guy told me they dont serve any breakfast since Covid time and the website I have booked isnt updated. They gave me no refund for that either. There is no hot water at night, imagine using cold water at night in NYC in Dec!!! The most unpolite and unpleasant hotel. I would give negative rating. I contacted the hotel manager regarding the issue, but he seemed knowing what's going on in the hotel and didn't even bother to do anything about it. I wasn't surprised that the other room guest were having the same issue. I would say its bit better to stay on the streets rather than in this hotel!

If -10 could be given to this OYO location, I would happily give it. Where do I start on the horrendous service provided. High price for poor service and shabby rooms, stay was 30th August - 6th September 2022. Bath mat was dirty for my entire 7 day stay and was not changed for a clean one. Dirty bags of food left by other hotel guests in the corridor, was there for 5 days. My booking was taken for Letap Hotel, then I was stuck in a dirty hotel with the worst looking lobby I have seen. Torn sofas and the dirt on the floor so thick, I could not tell what was the original material on the floor of the lobby was, and/or might have been. Rude female staff - told by a staff member she needed to complete urgent work before providing the customer service I needed. No offer any kind of amenities, this included a bottle of water and/or cups. No coffee sachets/ nowhere possible to get a hot cup of coffee and/or hot drink on the premises. No drinks machine. Key fobs that did not work, so I required customer service and regularly had to chase female members of staff. Poorly equipped rooms - broken storage facilities and absolutely very dirty unkempt curtains. I observed and spoke with a couple who were being treated so shabbily it was not nice to witness. This was by the same rude female member of staff. I could go on but I guess nothing will be done and unfortunately folks will be duped by photos of the hotel to stay there and/or fake bookings from the Letap hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is two star property in terms of facilities. Good : close to subway that connects jfk to downtown to great on accessibility. Clean room, bathroom and fresh towels. Bad : small room size. Door locks from inside did not work for me. Room window did not have curtain. Staff behaviours can be better. Did not have working restroom, so if you checked out and want to use toilet you may be out of luck. Picture added is of reception.

Absolutely horrible. Avoid at any cost. I don't understand how they are still on business. Felt unsafe throughout the stay. I wish i could give it less than one star.

The most disgusting place we have ever stayed in. First checked in at the sister hotel which only exterior sign said OYO, when we booked, the hotel was called JFK Airport Hotel, but maps said this was the location. We went and checked in, the room was cramped and smelly. The walls were written on (like graffiti) and the bedspread was filthy and stained. Upon walking into the bathroom the shower basin was black from filth. Went back down to see if we could move rooms in which there was no one at the front desk but a sign saying go next door for assistance. We walk next door and end up checking into a room there, again the walls were stained, written on, and very thin (could hear people talking/moving all night) sheets dirty, there was broken tile in the bathroom, overall absolutely disgusting. A woman we met in the lobby had checked in earlier and was on her way back in after leaving to buy cleaning supplies. The staff was nice enough, but if you have any sense, DO NOT STAY HERE! Also the payment charge is listed as a completely different hotel, very off.

This experience was not acceptable. Initial room was dirty (trash full, cigarette droppings in AC unit, bed spreads had burn marks and table top was dirty with food, second room (we were escorted) was better at first glance. Once we settled in we noticed the box spring covers were dirty on both beds, bathroom fan did not work, the reading lights did not work, the light switch was broken and the floors were dirty... Also the glass front of the hotel, elevator and entrance were dirty. Customer service not so great. The location was good for what I needed to do however I would not recommend staying here.

I mean, I'm literally at a loss for words. I knew it wasn't going to be good because of the reviews but I really didn't think anything could be this bad. The neighborhood and the hotel itself was atrocious. I have tons of photos and will possibly take more. Do NOT come to this location, just save yourself a lot of grief. I literally had to wipe down the tables and bathroom counter spaces. Its like no one cleaned this room at all

The woman the woman at the front desk was a snot, and tried to raise the price after staying a couple days by 60 dollars. No explanation told pay because that's what I say. The room still had garbage on the floor and in the draws. No soap no shampoo. Ready for the best part.... Roaches in the room. Never again

Giving this place 1 star is giving it too much credit. Please do me a favor and avoid this place at all costs and please believe all the horrible reviews you read on here. Room reeked of cigarette smoke, walls were dirty, stains of all colors splattered around the room. Oh and they've refused to refund my money after not offering another room (which I would have declined). Please feel free to admire these pictures we took of our room.

I wish I could leave less than 1 star. The service is basically none. And the person in charge of the front desk is not professional, has cero idea in the “costumer service” area. We ask for a blanket because in the room we had sheets only. And they said 15 min and never came. The rooms were never Fixed in the time we were there and also almost everything is broken or damage. And as you can see in one of the pictures have rats. So please get another hotel for your time in NYC

Look I’m not going to lie - I felt a bit scared staying here as a female travelling solo. The hotel smelt like smoke, I was constantly hearing people in the halls, as I was checking in it seemed like people on drugs were coming down from the rooms. I was even asked for money while I was in the lobby. The woman at the desk when I checked in was rude - she asked for my PIN instead of giving me the card machine so I could enter it… but the staff in the morning were very friendly. The room itself was basic, it seemed old and rundown and a bit dirty but overall I slept okay. Another girl at the hotel said someone tried to get into her room at 10pm. All in all, don’t expect too much. Be conscious that Jamaica is apparently an unsafe area that you shouldn’t walk around at night. Not the hotels fault, but important to know.

My family had a long exhausting flight from Europe that took more than 40 hrs with multiple stops and layovers to get to JFK. I booked two rooms for them and fully paid weeks before this trip….Only to find out that they had no available rooms when my family finally have arrived!!!! At night, at 1:30 am. After such an exhausting trip!!! This hotel didn’t have rooms and said there is nothing they can do. How? How the hell is it possible if I already fully paid? So my family had to look for another hotel in the middle of the night, super tired, with luggages and in such an unsafe area. Just a disaster, be aware and never NEVER stay here. I wish I’ve read reviews earlier. On the top of that I am still dealing with them to get my money back almost two weeks and doesn’t seem I’ll get them back. Never and never again. Total zero!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst place i’ve ever been in my entire life. We arrived and the lobby no longer seemed like a lobby. The first night one of the receptionists came to wake us up at 3 in the morning. The second night we did not sleep at all because the people on the same floor were yelling, we asked for a room change and they were not able to give it to us. The third night they were still yelling like crazy, and they weren't able to get someone from the hotel to tell people to be quiet that there are guests in the hotel and the fourth night people were knocking on doors, worst place ever.
