Great place. I went to this bar during my holiday in New York. The Gin Tonic was very full of Gin and i liked it. The men at the bar were very cool, full of sympathy and handsome. Thaks for the cupcakes.

Very friendly crowd, we had a great afternoon drinking and chatting with some of the locals. Thank you Bill, Jimmy, Chuck and Boris for making our afternoon so much fun. I absolutely love the atmosphere, the staff, am always given prompt service and can’t beat those drink prices in Manhattan! Julian plays fabulous music on the weekends complete with videos and he and Gary are always a delight! They also always remember me and what my drink of choice is, even if it’s been months. I take everyone that comes to visit me from out of town here.

Always a good time at this iconic bar. The staff is friendly, the patrons are always there to give you a hug, and the music 🎶 is always good. ❤️

I always enjoy a nice small bar with fun atmosphere. I even more so enjoy when the gays get heated and have an almost fight. It’s quite entertaining, especially when the guy who started the argument in the same breath became the victim because the other guy started bullying him and threatening him under his breath. Kinda wild, but good ol’ NYC will always keep me entertained. Drinks on flow, Scattered 🍆, with a chance make-out at 65% give or take on any given night.

Didn't really try food or would have given a 5 star. First bar I been to where hot guys formed a line in the bathroom to pump and dump in/-on me Definitely coming back

Owner is a doll but the patrons can be downright nasty. I am a supporter of the community however the community did not accept me as a hetro female enjoying the great music and what I thought environment. I got dirty looks, jeers and told I don’t belong at Ty’s. Not very welcoming if you aren’t apart of the LGBTQ+ community which makes me very sad.

Great spot! Small but full of life! Great place to drop off and get some drinks with some friends and really have a conversation. Also great to meet new people you will find Truly find some Die Hard fans of this bar, I love coming here it's very easy breezy and full of fun

Great place. Visited once while on vacation in New York. Fox, the barman was just lovely and welcoming. Had the chance to talk and laugh with a few other people around me. Very friendly bar.

Great crowd, great staff, cheap drinks, low-key hang. 1 star off because it’s got TVs on all the time. If I wanted to watch TV I’d stay home. Good for locals and visitors.

This bar has such a chill vibe to it. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are cheaper compared to many other neighboring bars. Music here is classic 80s and 90s. Add this to your list if you're staying in west Village

I've turned 21 years old this year and I'm gay. I've been trying to find a gay bar that has a type of"where everybody knows your name" kind of feel. This bar hits the nail!

It's a cute little gay bar in the west village. My friend said it was gonna be full of a bunch of old men, but I found me a little hottie in there that wasn't an old man. The drinks were good and the bartenders were really nice.

Ty's is one of the most friendliest bars I've been in to NYC, the staff and clientel are incredibly friendly, hospital and make you feel very welcome. Do pop in and say Hi to Dan if you're ever in NYC !!!

Best gay bar in NYC. So much history. Very friendly customers and great staff. Bartender Julian , a great guy, plays videos on the weekend that are incredible. He’s the reason I keep coming back. Great atmosphere.

This is the most friendly gay bar in NYC. GREAT staff, in fact I would venture to say best bartenders on the NYC gay scene. Very friendly patrons and we have made some great friends there. Drinks are very reasonably priced and it is nestled in a very cool part of Christopher street. Highly recommend!

Went for the first time. Fairly crowded but all couples except for me and two other guys - neither of them were interested in me. Bartender was super nice. I had a ginger ale and left alone. Wondering if I should return

Low key small old fashion bar with all ages and races. Skews a bit older. Can be high alcohol and frisky place. Gary is best all around bartender in gay nyc.

What a amazing bar. Crowded and good music. All guests were happy and we've met lots of crazy peoples. Was so funny
