Nice atmosphere, but the place has become more of a cocktail lounge than a jazz club. Still great music can be found there in the evenings. Cover charges are usually $30. Most cocktails are $19 and up. Ordering a beer or whisky is more affordable.

This unassuming location has fantastic jazz music, an intimate outdoor seating, and some amazing cocktails. Drop by if you're in the area! :) Update: Visited Zinc Bar again (sat indoors this time) and the vibe is amazing. We went on a Saturday night (the night when there is no live music) but it was still as amazing as the last time. Looking forward to being back soon!

Just saw Terry Waldo's Gotham City Ragtime Band at Zinc Bar and it was a BLAST! These guys know how to put on a show. The chemistry between all the band members is electric. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the cocktails were.

The place and the band were really nice. The cocktails had ice chips in them and they skimp on the egg whites in the sours. Above average pricing for below average drinks. I would have still left 4 stars but felt very disrespected by one of the hosts. Here’s what happened.. one of the ladies rest room doors doesn’t lock. My wife was using the restroom and asked me to stand outside to make sure no one walks in on her. I must have waited in total about 2 minutes. One set of ladies came to the powder room area and I explained the situation to them and they didn’t seem to have a problem and understood where I was coming from and why I was standing there. 10 seconds later the host walks in and tells me to stand at the entrance of the powder room instead and his words were “you’re standing outside the ladies room” when I explained the situation to him he said “It’s kinda weird what you’re doing there” i apologized and left, though I found this to be quite disrespectful and it left a very bad taste. I actually love the music at this place and the vibe but this completely ruined it for me. Probably won’t ever go back after this.. my point is if you’re concerned about women feeling uncomfortable why not make sure the restroom door locks in the first place? Ruined what was otherwise a good evening and show.

The decorations were art nouveau style and beautiful. Missed the live music but they were playing my favorites, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Billy Holiday. I do want to go back for a live event.

The place is nice but is more for like a date. I came with my sister on a Friday and we where expecting live music but we pick the wrong day for it. I think they say there's only live music on Saturday, don't remember well. Drinks weren't so good but the service was excellent, I remember we ask the waitress to change one of our drinks cuz my sister didn't like it and they did it without any charge.

Fantastic local spot for some of the best jazz in town! No idea how more people haven’t discovered this spot - it’s better than most of the well-known clubs in the neighborhood. Very happy that it remains somewhat underground because you can always walk in and get a table.

Great atmosphere. The bouncer was wonderful and got us a great table. I had the black and gold - delicious! Everyone else seemed to enjoy their drinks too. I appreciated that this was a nice, upscale place without any New York pretentiousness. All good vibes in a old school theme setting.

Love the performance. Drink server seemed overwhelmed, maybe she should start getting drink orders before the show starts! Also, the cocktails are so nice, why not make the couple food offerings a little more thoughtful too? Thanks guys, overall great performance.

It was like stepping into Jean Luc Picard's holodec fantasy! A wise, friendly and expert bartender, art deco furnished, cool jazz music, and worldly clientele. Loved it.

Very nice place! Felt like you were transported to the 20's/30's jazz scene. Lots of velvet and gold accents 😍 The drinks were about $15-20, and the selection of liquor they had was fairly small. (Only 1 or 2 brands of each liquor) I had a chocolate martini with whipped cream. The service was nice as well! They allowed you to have time to relax and drink, and enjoy the company in front of you. I never felt rushed or bombarded with service, but they checked in at the right moments. If you want a relaxing lounge experience with classic cocktails, jazz and good company- this is a great place to try.

Cozy basement jazz bar in Greenwich Village. We had drinks no food, drinks were good but a little pricey. The bar was a little warm when we were there.

Great bar! Recommended for jazz lovers. It is like going back in time to the 20/30s. We loved the show on Wednesday night with Terry Waldo's band. Great drinks as well!!

Well, Jazz music evening doesnt get better than Zinc bar...just a few minutes away by foot from washington square, the bar has amazing drinks and food. The Whiskey sour is something I encourage everyone to try...the whole bar has a chilling vibe...

This place is such a hidden gem. Had a lovely time here enjoying classic jazz and trying their many delicious drinks. The staff are so warm, welcoming, and FUN! The people who attend are kind patrons who enhance the ambiance of the bar. I had the best time and cannot wait to come back!

Lovely bar. The music venue in the back had a wonderful, laid back art deco style, and the musicians were top tier. Bartender was on fire, made some truly tasty caipirinhas (with cachaça, the way it should be done). Can't wait to go back.

I came here on a Friday night when the place was quite busy. I did get lucky enough to sit at the end of the bar and order a few cocktails. Each one was crafted masterfully and had good flavor. The downside was that each was fairly expensive. It's a bar with a cool vibe, but maybe just for one drink.

My favorite spot in NYC. The place is amazingly conserved, when you get there you fell like you pushed the door to a Woody Allen movie. Music is always amazing and they have good drinks! Could go there every night!

This place is the reason why I miss NY! If you want coffee go to Starbucks, if you want fancy cocktails go to a fancy cocktail bar, if you want good service go to a Michelin-starred restaurant. You come here just for some of the best intimate music experiences of your life...choose wisely based on the daily line-up, but once you get it right, you will never forget this experience

The vibe is like a romantic jazz speakeasy despite it getting very crowded. Best espresso martinis (pricey but damn good)! Would love to come back for a jazz show.

be warned… bartenders swap your requested liquor for the well version, but charge top shelf price. the music is nice but not worth it. head somewhere else with your evening and money.
