The Dental offices are so unorganized they literally cancelled my appointment for my wisdom teeth removal for “doctors having spring break” then why book my appointment for that week if no doctors are going to be present that week!!! There are also long lines of patients waiting to be checked in for their appointments in the 7th floor office. That staff is so unprofessional, literally saw a lady booking my appointment while showing her coworker her “nicely done nails” like lady give me my appointment card and move on and do your job!!!

The Vanderbilt Clinic building of New York-Presbyterian Hospital is located in one of the compound's oldest buildings at 622 West 168th Street, in New York City's Morningside Heights neighborhood. I went to this building many times in early 2017 and was completely satisfied with the professional doctors' and therapist's care that I received. The interior of the building is filled with top-notch medical offices and is modern, air-conditioned and clean. There is a courtesy WiFi system throughout the hospital. New York-Presbyterian Hospital has a professional and pleasant staff, and I was very pleased to have them to treat my hand condition in its Orthopedic Department and follow-up hand therapy sessions (on the 3rd floor) following my hand surgery by one of the best orthopedic surgeons in New York. And, unlike so many hospitals, the food I received after my surgery was absolutely delicious. So much so that I was inspired to make it at home myself.

Incompetent, dismissive and unprofessional. What you are told by calling them WILL BE different from what you are told on 1 floor and WILL BE different from what you are told on another floor WITHIN SAME DEPARTMENT! Staff insist on completing REDUNDANT tasks, I'm assuming to justify how they bill your insurance. All you need to know...if this was THE LAST MEDICAL facility on the planet, you should reconsider if you REALLY could live with whatever is wrong. Coming here is a mistake you will regret. They have no concept of professionalism or courtesy. Insist you agree to NOT be late (understandable) by signing a document you are NOT shown but HAVE NO ISSUE MAKING YOU *WAIT* FOR YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT.

I waited 3 months for my dentist to get back to me to schedule an appointment. I finally filed a complaint. I was also owed two crowns that were paid for but did not fit and were supposed to be re-made at no cost to me. A Ms. Whalen in the dean's office informed me that I would not be compensated for the crowns. I was informed that if I pursued the compensation issue I would not be allowed to return to any of the dental clinics. In short, a non-physician has decided that I am banned from receiving medical care. I question if wealthier, whiter, non minority people would be banned from care for requesting what they were promised and owed.

VERY TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE BETTER OFF GOING SOMEPLACE ELSE IN AN EMERGENCY#!. The triage nurse tried to rush the registration for whatever reason. After waiting almost TWO hours my wife went to ask when our son would be seen....was told ANOTHER TWO HOURS. We were also told that Dr wont run any tests or do anything except just give him medicine and send him home. I COULDVE DONE THAT MYSELF. OBVIOUSLY WE ARE HERE BECAUSE ITS AN URGENT SITUATION AND NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG. Do not TAKE your child here. Not only will you get bad service but your child could be sitting there in pain and illness and all they will tell u is to wait. Go elsewhere

Calling the Eye Clinic.. no answer (hold) for 17 minutes. I’m calling around 1PM. It is bs. I used to be a patient at the 181st Washington Heights Clinic.. traveled from Brooklyn all the way there for “good attention”. But they lack so much for past 2 years now. You’re not supposed to let a caller for more than 3 minutes. And they take forever for a nurse or doctor to see you. Ridiculous. I been a loyal patient for years, coming from Brooklyn all the way to Manhattan. Decided to change my clinic a few months ago, not only because of the lack of proper phone etiquette.. but because they neglected giving me my birth control simply because I was off it for 8 months or less. Telling me I need to make an appointment and come back a week or so.. These clinics need better employees and fire the “too comfortable” ones. The clinic I changed to... is literally 2 blocks away from me...went in as a walk-in to get my birth control, no hassle no problem. Got my stuff! & the time frame, properly managed. Completely different from Presbyterian affiliated clinics.

This building has the most atrocious elevators and the staff could careless about the patients waiting. Imagine a 20 min wait, only two elevators and staff lie about the functions so they don’t have to wait to get to their floor. The amount of money that comes in and out of this place… one would believe that functionality of a critical piece of infrastructure would be easily managed … Really this place is painful reminder of the state of the American health care system

If u treat them with respect as u treat yourself, then they treat u like gold or 1 of the family. If u have love for yourself n trust in others ulla get the same love n trust n attitudes that u gave so easily right back!!

I am a patient there and the scissors which were used with me to cut my sutures after a surgery, were rusted. I think that all medical devices according to FDA must be stainless steel. 😵😵😵

My dentist went above and beyond to help make my impressions better. Tomorrow she will keep me there all day in order to finish the preparations to make my dentures. So kind and sweet.

My therapist, Abagail is very thorough and is really helping me out. She thinks outside the box, which is very necessary for an occupational therapy. Therapy is much better than at Mt. Sinai for outside patients. Also, the new manager is very earnest about improving the scheduling the appointments and asked me a lot of questions to find out why I was frustrated with it, so I really think they will improve, and a good sign, but as I did experience a lot of frustration one less star until they improve.
