This was by far the worst psychiatric treatment experience I’ve ever had. In fact, there is no real treatment offered at this clinic. Instead, the patient here is used as a practice dummy for a rotation of inexperienced interns/residents who, in turn, make all their mistakes on you before graduating and immediately moving on to a more lucrative situation. Then you are assigned to another inexperienced student. Rinse and repeat. Should you be frustrated by this process, don’t expect anyone to treat you as an individual with your own unique treatment needs. You are there to fulfill their needs not the other way around. If by some sad misfortune you do end up here, you have my sympathies. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone, especially not someone who is vulnerable and desperately seeking help for serious mental health challenges. All you will ever be at this clinic is a student project. Your best hope is that you get an “A” student rather than one who squeaks by with a “C.” My advice: go somewhere else if at all possible!

Dr.Emil Achmond should be committed to the psych ward I've never had a junior Dr over see my care and flip out because a client is more informed on medication and information then he is , maybe he had a bad day or needs a vacation but the man was unprofessional and kept provoking me left and right , Dr Achmond is dangerous and shouldn't be overseeing anyone's care , I called the Director who then blamed me which I knew would happen she's the head of this snake if he looks bad she'll also look bad , I have the whole situation recorded meanwhile she still tried to justify a doctor speaking to a his patient like I was trash , so I hung up immediately knowing no real outcome would happen , if your seeking help don't go here , they care about getting paid over your care there's plenty of hospital in NYC that will greet you with a smile .

Working here is the best thing. With my help along with providers and my co workers, we all make sure that the patients needs come first. Plus they have some of the best doctor's and nurses here. Some people may have bad experiences here, but what i know, the team that i work with are all here to provide the best service, there is for the patients. With this i give my workplace 5 stars👏👏👏👏👏..

Absolutely horrifying and terrible staff. Before even getting admitted we had to wait in a room for hours. (Which they said the doctor would be available in a couple of minutes). They would never give updates as they just made everyone sit and wait anxiously. The reason I am giving this place a one star is because of the STAFF. Someone next to me politely asked to lay down as he waited for the doctor. The security member he asked started cursing at him vulgarly and screaming. It was a disgusting experience how the security guard treated the man next to me. And this is a well respected hospital, too. I would also get comments on my appearance from staff and EMS as I waited to see the doctor. Do. Not. Go. Here.

Unfortunately, none of Mt. Sinai's three psychiatric adult outpatient clinics have been offering services since August 2022. Every month I call and am instructed to call at the end of the month as they have no capacity for a waitlist and might learn toward the month's end if there are any available appointment slots for the following month. They have stopped accepting calls or returning emails, and are not operational. It would be great if they could post a message on their site confirming they do not accept new patients and are not offering services, as I was referred here by a provider that was under the impression that they offered services.

How Emil Achmad is able to practice despite incorrectly stating a patient is unable to feed herself, and thus needs older antipsychotics (IM) like invega which risks ideation, despite showing capacity to decide as risks did not outweigh benefits given no safety concerns, baffles me. The judge had to remind Dr Achmad he was under oath, and had to repeatedly ask at least 2 if not 3x for discharge date. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! How he still has a license is beyond me? How he's still able to practice is also beyond me. He exemplifies how archaic psychiatry is. Theres plenty of newer medications with less detrimental side effects, but has he kept up with the research? Cookie cutter approach. Lack-luster. F for fail. Who passed this guy on his boards?

So long as this place keeps fascist social workers that mock patients and actively sabotages their care, it deserves one star. If you want to leave misdiagnosed and given medication and treatment that actively makes your condition worse, this is the place to go. If you're feeling suicidal and want someone to make you go from regretful you are feeling that way to regretful you didn't go through with it, this is the place to go. If you want to actually get proper medical treatment, go literally anywhere else.

😠 I should have trusted my gut and the negative reviews. This place is so poorly managed that it just makes you feel like it’s a money making operation. We were paired with Dr Siegel. Didn’t get a good feel at the consultation, but we went forward with the scans anyway. First appt was ok. Second was...

👍👍 I went in for a Covid test, which was actually squeezed in last minute by the staff because I had just come back from Miami and didn't want to get my family sick, as well as, an audiology appointment. Starting off the staff was super helpful getting me situated as I was a bit late and made sure I co...
