We went to this renowned viewpoint on a Saturday just as it was getting dark. It is definitely a beautiful, picturesque view but the place was so crowded that we barely got to appreciate the view! I felt that it was not worth traveling all the way to Brooklyn just for this picture. But the nearby pebble beach was really pretty and it would be nice to visit it earlier in the day, maybe on a weekday.

A very touristic area with a stunning view of the Manhattan bridge. The area is flooded with restaurants along the street to have quick bites or just take quick breaks from the winter chills during winter. The view is just breathtaking, those kind of views that are better enjoyed with friends or family. To be honest the only bad thing is the number of tourists who flock this area. It’s rarely deserted making it very hard to get a clean shot with no people. And also the street gets busy sometimes with cars, so take pictures responsibly without inconveniencing the motorists in the area.

Such a cool spot near the Manhattan Bridge. It’s such a lively place with a “flea market” of sorts with incredible knickknacks, records, and food. Definitely come here to grab a picture of the incredibly famous view of the Manhattan Bridge between two stunning brown buildings. When the sun shines on the buildings, the view is breathtaking!

I like to take a ferry to dumbo and enjoy nice view. Weekday is better than weekend and morning is better than afternoon. Seems to be less people and you can get a nice photo shot.

Dumbo is the area between the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. The cobbled streets of modern Dumbo and the renovated warehouses of Brooklyn make up the scene of the area with independent boutiques, expensive restaurants and trendy coffee shops. At the northern end of Dumbo is Pebble Beach and to its west is the historic Jane's Carousel, while the spot offers scenic views of the Manhattan skyline. Washington Street with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background is photogenic.

We were told that early morning would be a good time to take pictures, and they were right! We were there at 7:30 am, and there were some people (three teams of professional photographers). I would recommend early morning for pictures, but the downside was that we could not check out the market as they were not open. We went to DUMBO first and then walked Brooklyn Bridge (there were already some people, but not packed yet), which was also recommended to do early morning. I am glad that we visited here early morning to take good pictures.

Definitely underrated gem in New York! I visited DUMBO in the daytime, and was stunned by the scenic view of the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge. The area was not very busy, making it perfect for a peaceful get together! I noticed a couple taking wedding photos together by the iconic carousel, how adorable! For any Gossip Girl fans, Dan and Jenny’s loft is located around the area, so be sure to check it out! There was also a bunch of cute artisanal shops, especially pizza and bagel spots. The next night, I returned after a sunset stroll along the Manhattan bridge from Joe’s Shanghai. The stroll was breathtaking, experiencing the financial district juxtaposed with the whimsy of peaceful Brooklyn. In Brooklyn, there is this incredible view of the Empire State Building underneath the Manhattan bridge, and it was not crowded at all! The Gossip girlie in me was shrieking!!!!! In DUMBO, the picturesque carousel lit up against the backdrop of the iconic skyline featuring the World Trade Centre. The Swiftie in me was screaming, as the “city lights by the water” were absolutely perfect. For more perfect days and nights, visit DUMBO!

Awesome place to take iconic photos. This scenery has been featured in several movies and tv shows. Pretty easy to go to after walking the Brooklyn bridge. Don’t forget to keep walking to get to pebble beach for more iconic views 🤩

Very cool point of view of the Manhattan bridge. I came here twice, on during the evening, another time at around sunset. I do think it's overrated but it's emblematic and I'm very determined and motivated for anything so it didn't bother me. I also did the Brooklyn bridge twice (night and sunset). There is a LOT of a people during the day/sunset but literally no one at around 10 pm on a cold early January Thursday. I had to wait 2 min because there was a family taking a picture but then I had the whole street for me for quite a while and I did tons of photo.

When in New York, this stop is not to be missed. More tourists think so, so it can be very crowded. Everyone wants to take that one photo... and you'll understand if you've actually been there. The view of the Manhattan Bridge is truly amazing. Nice to walk back across the Brooklyn Bridge via Dumbo afterwards. Do a coffee stop along the way where you're sure to find a coffee shop overlooking the bridge :).

Iconic, beautiful, but crowded ! Try to get there on non usual touristic time (sunrise i would say is the best option). You have a lot of spots to take pictures, with stores around if you need anything.

Very cool place to take photos with Manhattan bridge in the background. However, this is a touristic attraction and if you wants clear pictures without people on the background you have to go early morning. I went in the evening and it was crowded although the view was amazing. Sun-rays were on kissing the bridge which gave a really great color to thee bridge.

Something you have to visit when in NY. You can spend good few hours in area. Seeing this place is totally different than pics. If lucky you can find some old stuff being sold in local streets. Few small restaurants and places to grab a cofee. You can easily spend 2h walking around this area. I can fully recommend. Just stunning

Loved this place. It wasn't too crowded when we went on a weekday in January. Iconic view of the bridge and a great place to get photos... Just be very mindful that vehicles do still use these roads, so be quick and get out of the way when you need to. If you walk to the end of the road (toward the bridge), you can follow a path to pebble beach, for a lovely sweeping view of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges, the river, the carousel and the Manhattan skyline. You also have access to the Time Out indoor market (more of an eatery) with a first floor viewing deck, which was really nice. Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing view here! Great for some photo opportunities! It can get quite busy though so if you’re wanting some great photos, make sure you’re there early to avoid the crowds. Some great little shops and restaurants around the area as well. We’ve been a few times and it was always really busy, still a great place to visit to say you’ve been there! It was one of the places we visited for photos when we got married.

If you get a chance while visiting this is a must see area. Along the Hudson River there are spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge and beautiful buildings. There is a rooftop restaurant where I can just get the best pictures then walk around the park to the merry-go-round

An area rather than a place, ideal for a brilliant view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Many Instagram spots, check out Washington Street for the pictures everyone wants. Just a lovely place to wander, grab a coffee or a meal. You shouldn't miss this on your New York trip, I loved it here.

Finding a parking spot near the Brooklyn Bridge turned into an unexpected adventure. I parked my car right next to DUMBO, not even realizing where I was at first. As I stepped onto the street, I noticed a flurry of people capturing pictures, and my curiosity got the best of me. I turned my head, and there it was – DUMBO, with the Manhattan Bridge framing a breathtaking view. The highlight, of course, was the Empire State Building nestled perfectly between the arches of the bridge. It was a view that simply took my breath away. In fact, I was so captivated by the scene that I couldn't resist sharing a photo. Take a look at this incredible moment that I was fortunate enough to stumble upon!

Great view but this is the most popular place in Brooklyn that at times feels like Times Square - Brooklyn edition. It's also a great people watching spot. But it's worth visiting for the cool view of the Manhattan bridge. The building with the Time Out cafe/ food hall is worth checking out nearby.

A very touristy area. This area can get pretty crowded as it is a great spot to take photos. It is nice to walk along the water and relax. There are also some historic buildings in the vicinity. To locals, it is a bit overrated, but it is a great place for people who are visiting.

It’s delightful to visit this place, we can see the breathtaking views of Manhattan Bridge, hear the train sounds and feel the essence of downtown New York City. Once we pass the street and come to end it is even more pleasing to see the beauty of Brooklyn Bridge, East river and the New York sky-liners. The ultimate beauty in the evening is we can see the Empire State Building too. Expect lot of crowds for photography. Ensure you will be quick and move to other locations for not to miss any.

Visiting DUMBO to take in the breathtaking view of the Manhattan Bridge was an absolute delight! The moment I stepped onto the cobblestone streets, I was captivated by the charm of this vibrant neighborhood. As I made my way towards the waterfront, anticipation built, and when I finally caught sight of the iconic Manhattan Bridge against the backdrop of the East River and the stunning Manhattan skyline, it truly took my breath away. The view was nothing short of mesmerizing, and I found myself lost in the beauty of the scene before me. Whether you're a photography enthusiast seeking the perfect shot or simply looking for a peaceful spot to soak in the sights of New York City, DUMBO's Manhattan Bridge view offers an unforgettable experience that's sure to leave you in awe. I highly recommend adding this picturesque spot to your itinerary. It's a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the Big Apple!

Dumbo was so much fun 🤩 it’s wasn’t so crowded that we couldn’t take pictures, there were some people but we were able to take nice pics and pose and chill definitely go with time! There’s so much there! 1) the classic picture 2) the park that you need to visit right behind that street, that you wouldn’t know to go or might forget if your crunch on time, 3) soho is a shopping 🛍 district right across the bridge with local shops so definitely go with time to do what’s already near.

This Manhattan Bridge view is just out-of-the-way!!! My first time here and I just loved it. It has a great environment!! The people, the view, the places, you can eat there and stay for a long time sitting at the park just enjoying the bridge.

The iconic photo is, well, iconic! Pretty busy spot and everyone trying to get their perfect backdrop. Good luck with all the people. It could be easy enough to accomplish, but don’t live life through your phone. Marvel in person, get a pic or two if you must but remember it over worrying about doing it for the Gram.

A must see for tourist and locals! Great photo views of the bridge with tons of shopping and restaurants. I took the ferry from pier 11 across the East river after visiting the financial district. Nice ride for a few bucks!

What is there to say but ,OMG!!!!! We really enjoyed the sights and sounds of this iconic and historic area. The views, the action the people, all incredible! This place has something for everybody ,young and old! We enjoyed soft serve ice cream cones, and yes they had sprinkles, the only way to do it!! We plan on dining at Seamores a little later for dinner , but for now, it's the Sun and pier stroll, for me and the misses!! Get here!!!!

Popular tourist spot in NYC. Start your walk on the street & take IG photo with Manhattan bridge background, walk to the pier and get view of Skyline, then, take stairs to stunning Brooklyn Bridge and end the trip with Clinton Pancake on 55, Water Street, popular food strolls.

  • 5/5 Nicholas K. 1 year ago on Google
Not as crowded as I expected and loved that the road has a section of no cars so you can truly enjoy a center view of this great location! Probably best viewed in early morning (both for better light at sunrise and for less people).

Great place for photo taking but just remember you’re not the only one there wanting a shot. In fact it’s better to go further toward the water where there are more picturesque opportunities withou the tourist crowd.

If you're not from NYC and want to check out the Dumbo bridge, make sure you set your gmaps to this location as this is the viewing point. I'd advise going early to avoid the crowd and get great photos with your friends and family. We were relatively early at 9am but you could already see a couple of folks there.

Great tourist destination to capture pics of Manhattan bridge. We walked across the bridge first during sunset and it does get pretty packed in Dumbo but if you keep walking down near the water it’s less crowded and you can get some great pics of Brooklyn bridge also.

Best background to take pictures in the entire newyork. The view of the bridge inbetween the two buildings is awesome. I went on a Friday at around 12pm it's not so crowded, but please avoid on weekends and holidays because your photos with you will have so many faces. If you just take a left and walk a little bit you can view the Brooklyn bridge and a beautiful place to take more pictures don't miss it.

Located in the trendy Brooklyn neighborhood, DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is a must-visit destination for photographers, tourists, and locals alike. This picturesque area offers a unique vantage point for capturing the stunning Manhattan Bridge and the iconic Empire State Building, all within the same frame. Upon arriving in DUMBO, I was immediately struck by the charming cobblestone streets and the fusion of historic industrial buildings and modern high-rises. The atmosphere was vibrant and buzzing with energy, as people from all walks of life gathered to take in the captivating views and snap their perfect shot. The most famous photo spot can be found at the intersection of Washington Street and Water Street. Here, the alignment of the Manhattan Bridge's legs creates a mesmerizing window that frames the distant Empire State Building. The juxtaposition of the bridge's impressive architecture against the Manhattan skyline is nothing short of breathtaking, making it an ideal location for photography enthusiasts and Instagrammers. While the views are undoubtedly spectacular, be prepared for some competition in capturing the perfect shot. The popularity of the location means that it can often be crowded, particularly during peak hours and weekends. It may take a bit of patience and maneuvering to secure an unobstructed angle, but the results are well worth the effort.

If you have kids, perfect place to visit. The carousel, well the horses are made out of solid wood and are 101 years old. The view of the Manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge is great. Please visit with the kids or love ones if you’re in the area.

Great view. Amazing. If you walk a little farther try to make it to pebble beach. The view of the city there is amazing. The beach itself is pretty secluded.

We had a great day taking pictures in Dumbo- Manhattan Bridge. We just have to step aside since theres a lot of cars passing by. But we enjoyed satying there and watching people taking pictures and doing tiktok.

A classic photo location ! if you walk across the Brooklyn Bridge the path will split , stay to the left and exit the bridge and your almost there. loved the brick buildings roads. Plenty of places to eat and drink near by.

Definitely worth the hype. It's a great area to visit and combine few other activities on the day, like walking the bridge, visiting Brooklyn flea markets and having a pizza in one of the pizzerias close by. It is one of those top photo opportunities in NYC that are worth to see, despite of hundreds other people there with you.

Exceptional place, hidden Gem!!! You get the closest view of Brooklyn bridge from here. So many varieties of shops, food options and best is NYC view, nearby access to Brooklyn Bridge. Recommended for great evening out.

  • 5/5 Alessandra D. 9 months ago on Google
Worth the hype just for the breathtaking views at night or better at dusk. Be ready to be surrounded by dozens of Instagrammers and tiktokers. It’s a short walk from the subway. Spend the evening there and you’ll be able to enjoy the skyline of Manhattan in both the daylight and at night.

  • 5/5 Guapi G. 7 months ago on Google
Amazing Manhattan bridge view and street designs! Great place to look at both Manhattan bridges and Brooklyn bridge! A lot of people come here for the nice photo angle, slightly lined up and need some photography skills to avoid including too many other people in your photo. Highly recommended! I love the view and how my portrait comes out!
