😐 Nothing crazy! I wouldn’t call that beach just because there is some sand on the floor. The water is so dirty that you can’t even go in it. View is definitely amazing and the place is relaxing! People often mention beach, water,

All the 1⭐️ review ppl complaining about it not being a "real" beach or not being able to swim are STUPID. Why would you want to swim in the East River?? There's no room for a full beach in the middle of a NYC park. Its just a cute spot to chill/play if you have dogs or kids or want to take photos.

Don't jump into your bikini just yet. This "beach" is nothing more than a garbage-laden sandbank that can be traversed in less than 10 seconds. An unkempt peninsular forest obscures the view of the scenery across the water.

What type of beach has no swimming and you can’t go in the sand? Weird!

I visit Brooklyn at least twice a week and I've never visited here. After visiting I didn't want to leave. They had kayaking, a great workout area, swings, basketball ball, soccer, handball court and so much more!! My kids loved it! As did I. Parking was a limited, so public transport may be advisable.

Just another NY beach where swimming is not allowed. Awesome views. Kids and dogs often wade in the water. Some summer events sometimes have boat launches off it but it's not a regular thing.

This beach is so clean! You will surely enjoy the sun, air, and sand. The good thing it is not allowed to eat or drink on the beach, which lessens the trashes in the sea!

Not really a beach, just a small spot with some sand and tides... but a nice vantage point of lower Manhattan!

Nice little beach. Coarse sand. Quiet early mornings. It's also a public boat launch for small boats, canoes, and kayaks. Free kayaking on weekends and some weeknights. Water can be dirty depending on tides. Sometimes you can see horseshoe crabs in the shallow water. No swimming allowed.

It's not Beach. It's better if you don't touch the water, as it's nasty. It's a great place to hang out with your kids and friends.

there weren't that many people and it was spacious (probably because of corona). Its calming and relaxing to watch the sunset/sunrise from the beach. It's relatively small compared to other beaches but big enough to fit a few groups in my opinion.

Free kayaking! Sign up ahead of time online to secure a time slot; there’s also the option to walk up. A fun summer activity on the water coupled with great views. The staff were all very nice and knowledgeable.

The Pier 4 beach served as the perfect location in the city for my couples engagement session. The beach and the cities scenery? How perfect! I will definitely return to take more pictures here.
