I went to the NYXL watch party organized by the 5 Deadly Venoms guys, so my review isn't really about the place as an internet cafe (since I didn't sit down on any of their computers to play games or anything like that), but as a spot for an e-sports watch party. And it was absolutely fantastic for that, Waypoint was totally on board with the watch party and had no problems with us NYXL fans making a LOT of noise rooting for the team while playing the game. The prices are quite low for Manhattan, and the strawberry lemonade and chocolate muffin I had were very good. My only negative is that it seemed like food was being fried right behind the counter, and the smell was quite strong and noticeable for a few minutes. Mind you, it smelled delicious and actually made me hungrier, but if you dislike the aroma of fried food it would have been bothersome. And it was just the smell, there was no grease in the air or the floor (which was spotless, as was the rest of the cafe).

I came as part of a large group, and from the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a cozy atmosphere, and loads of fun little nerdy oddities and decor. Lydia was the best, she was kind, incredibly helpful and had an awesome personality. The selection of pastries, food and drinks was surprisingly big and everything was delicious! The PC gaming space in the back was especially cool. I will say though, it is a relatively compact space, so proceed with caution if you are looking to come in with a large party (we came with 13 players!!!) for the PCs. Despite such a large number of people in one group, however, the staff were able to help us with our endeavors and go above and beyond to provide us with a great experience! Waypoint is a cozy environment for fellow gamers and nerds to relax, hang out and play some games, and is a lovely little place that I would totally come back to! Molloy Lions are incredibly grateful for the kindness and wonderful experience that Waypoint Cafe provided us!

Chill place to hang out at and get to know fellow gamers quickly no matter if you are a PC or Console person, into card games or board games. Service is great, staff is welcoming and helping. They have a nice studio as well if you want to stream | cast games.

Great great place! My first visit here. Staffs were patient and attentive to make sure I know what’s going on. If you are worried by the negative reviews saying computers are outdated and crashes, rest assured, I played battlefield endlessly on max graphic with no problems whatsoever. The specs i believe is pretty high end. Finally, you can tell they are not trying to rob you when they only sell a bottle of water for one dollar. It’s like the cheapest price in the city. There was also free ear phones provided but you need to give something for hold. I got here somewhere between 2 to 4 o’clock and there is no wait. But when I left somewhere like 6, there is a small line waiting for pcs.

Arguably one of the best internet cafes I’ve been to. It was clean and had lots of seats. I was actually able to sit next to all my friends instead of us having to split up. The person in charge of the headphones felt like he did not want to be there but it is what it is. They charge $5 per hour but gives 5 hrs for $20. The price is about average with most other places. There’s no hidden sign up fees so that’s a plus. Overall it’s a very good experience and hours carry over so you can keep visiting. They also have a cafe where they serve good food and drinks.

Been coming here for years and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast pasteries and tea are very good and events are really fun. Sometimes the keyboards and mice may be oily or sticky in the middle of the day.

Always love coming here whenever I’m in the city and wanna game with friends or just need to solo grind for a day without any interruptions haha. Some of the gear is finiky (like keyboard missing a few keys or cheaper headphones) but overall an amazing place!

The front desk people were amazing. Initially the customer service was amazing. The 2nd kiosk however had this super rude asian employee. (didnt get his name) Dont bother asking questions or if you have issues, he always gives attitude. Had my monitor turn black randomly and he blames it on me pulling a cord or kicking the outlet (when there was no outlet that i could kick)

Really chill environment and equally sweet staff. For anyone wondering, they definitely have the Gungeon arcade and it was more fun than I expected

Love this place. I've only been there a few times but it's always a joy to be there. Feels like it has a strong sense of community. Will definitely return every now and then.

Nice place to go, for $20 you get 5 hours of game time which is very affordable, you don’t need to use all your time as once you sign out the time you have left you can use another time. I’d say overall it was great experience with nice staff though I’d say the monitors could be better especially for a gaming cafe.

THEY SAID THEIR NEW HOURS ARE FROM OPEN TO 12AM! Anywho, this place is great. If you look past the missing letters on the menu (which they dropped, not their fault) - they have pretty good value and decent prices for drinks and service. This was my first time going to a PC방/computer café in the U.S., and I can’t say that I’m disappointed! It had a VERY lively atmosphere, it was around 8PM when we arrived (on a Wednesday), but the café area was packed with people playing board games and Magic. It is $5 for one hour for the computers in the back, and they have bundles for hours as well. Any hours you didn’t use will be stored for next time. Overall, very friendly staff, and even with the customer base being 98% men, my friend and I never felt uncomfortable as women being in there - and as “non-gamers” we did not feel like we didn’t belong, and the staff had no issue explaining things to us if we asked. Also, last thing, bathrooms close at 11:30PM, so pee before you come that late. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Great place to grab a coffee, play games, and do work with super friendly staff and chill customers. As long as you've bought something they'll let you stay and do whatever you need. If you're looking for local events or are here in the evenings, be mindful that they host local weekly events: Smash always on Tuesdays, Magic: The Gathering nights on Fridays, some stuff here and there in-between. There aren't /too many/ computers, but there's enough if you want to drop in for a few rounds with friends.

First gaming cafe I’ve been to and it was a decent experience. Staff is nice and straight forward if you need any help. You set up an account, write your username on a notepad and they give you a headset to connect to a pc. They take your ID as a precaution which I’ve never heard of, but okay I guess… The PC’s work well and have a good amount of games pre-installed (Overwatch, League Of Legends, R6, Valorant, etc). I believe it costs $5 per hour which is probably cheaper than other locations. I haven’t ordered anything from the cafe’s menu, but I’m sure it’s decent and isn’t expensive.

Girlfriend and I went here on a whim for an hour and it was a great time. Staff is very nice and it's the best internet cafe for the price. No pressure to purchase bulk hours.

Absolutely wonderful place! Staff is super friendly and helpful. They also have a coffee/tea bar with food too. I would highly recommend going if you're looking for a PC gaming cafe. They also have a separate green screen room for streamers!

Pc cant even run apex or fortnite at more than 100 fps even if the graphics r at the lowest. Bad quality headphones and u gotta give a id to trade for the headphones 💀💀 keyboard is bigger than the space they give you to use ur mouse

Went in expecting something like the nearby OS Gaming cafe but cheaper. It was cheaper indeed, but we experienced many technical issues regarding the headphones/sound system and couldn’t start playing until 20 minutes later. Also, the PCs cannot even run the lowest graphics of valorant smoothly. Pretty humid and stuffy inside as well. Although service is a plus, and they gave us a free 30 minutes more for our troubles.

Had a frustrating first start of my day at Waypoint cafe the PCs are outdated and have continuous crashing problems and low memory. Couldnt play Overwatch 2 and valorant crashed multiple times during games so i got an AFK ban. Other than that the cafe is a cool place to go to I just hope the owner can fix these issues.
