Wonderful views with bearing perspective around every corner. little desk lit being next to the highway but still looking across the water you can see the current and tides ebb and flow surprisingly rapidly. Good place to go for a run or have a ride free from the traffic

Great park to watch sunset. I saw a dance performance as well, the view was a great backdrop. I like it because it's not overcrowded, but it's a bit of a walk from the trains. Great spot to go to near the lower east side or after walking the Williamsburg bridge.

In all kinds of weather this park is the best. Whether you run, play sports, do body weight workouts, like fishing, have dogs, or just want to go for a walk or a picnic, this is the place to go on the Lower East Side. It will be even better when the track is finished in (hopefully) Fall 2018. I hope to see you out there having a blast!

Absurd amount of what I believe was construction blockages. I’ve been running along the west side high/riverside drive for over 7 years- from battery park up to the George Washington bridge. Long story short, I had high hopes for the east river running and biking route but it was a complete let down. Will try again in 12 months

A great park by the river. Has a lengthy walk by the river, soccer fields, basketball courts, a track, and spots that are perfect for grilling.

It's a beautiful shoreline walk BUT so much construction and activities and people partying and smoking all over doesn't allow for much of a fun, friendly, family like atmosphere . There needs to be signs designating areas for all and some rules please. There should be a tackle football field, a rugby field too!! There should be more restrooms!!

Less crowded, peaceful vibe and nice view of east river along with Gantry park and Willamburg park . Best place to walking and jogging in a city . Some parts are still under construction but most of it are functional and it has perfect view queens , brooklyn and manhattan skyline of New York city

Beautiful views for a pleasant walk, run or simply to sit and relax by the Hudson River. Enjoy a book, listen to music or meet with family and friends for some fresh air. Mask are worn and a safe distance is respectfully kept by others outside your party.

Beautiful spacious park to come for a picnic, play games, bike ride or just sit back and enjoy the river view. Slowly this park is being improved, but its not as pretty as the west side battery park.

The East River Park as the locals have called it since 1939 is the place to go when you want to ride your bike, around the island if you're up to it. You have a track and field, 4 baseball fields not including the 2 big fields on Grand st. B4 the amphitheater at the top of the hill. All the work that has been done over the years and she's beautiful, If you need a day to relax read a book or go 4 a jog ,we even have tennis courts, enjoy the time you have. Best.

It's a great place. The reason I'm giving it 1 star is all the construction 🚧 going on. Also there is some much talks in that air of the future of the FDR Drive. From the parks closing to new developments of building so going up. But one thing I do know. Enjoy it now before it's all gone.

Beautiful site viewing. Great for walks, exercise, bike rides, etc. Great for pictures, couple walks, and talks. Loved everything about it. I am looking forward to visiting more often.

NYC has other plans for this beautiful park unfortunately. They've cut down most of the almost 1000 trees, they'll load it up with 30 inches of topsoil... they call it "flood control".. NO WAY! And there's supposed to be some sort of (luxury?) housing project. Damn them...

This park is close to where I dog walk so it's very convenient to walk to. There is plenty of space and a cute pond in the middle. However, there tends to be a lot of homeless in the mornings and a lot of trash is left behind, especially along the edge of the park. Please pick up your trash to keep parks clean! :)

Nice place for making exercises of different types along in families or in groups is pretty much big, so don't worry about for interfering with people do exercises too. Just the bathrooms needs to remanufactured, sooners it is really important.

The park is under construction. The football field is horrible. Be prepared to navigate fencing and blocked off areas. Hopefully, it will look great when they're finished.

Construction really puts a damper on this park. Hopefully it’ll be awesome once the flood protection is complete and it’s renovated but in the mean time access is severely limited. It is tough to compare to the luxurious amenities of the West Side Highway. Also tough to see a large amount of green space taken away from the east side during the construction. I understand the City’s flood protection plan is very important to ensure the safety of lower Manhattan but it seems there could have been a better achievable middle ground rather than tearing up the majority of a park many hold close as an east access point for outdoor recreation and community connections.

Has a great track, a couple of soccer and baseball fields. The playground isn't the greatest in NYC, but that's the only negative. Great view of the bridge.

The view is really great but for Covid wise it can get crowded so be wary. The weather is good and there's sufficient seating for you for a picnic with a couple of friends! It's not really accessible by bus or car you'd have to walk a bit but the pictures will be worth it

It's been cleaned up and renovated, they've added a nice water area for kids and new benches to sit and relax. You can enjoy a walk, bike ride, watch the boats go by or sit on the grass for a picnic!

This is one of our favorite river parks in Manhattan. It seems to be more crowded than Riverside Park which is on the west side of Manhattan but it's still a lot of fun. There are a few soccer fields and a walking path hidden next to the river along with other neat gems. Great park.

It was my first time in that Park. It was nice to be on the L.E.S. and see the Manhattan 🌉 bridge. It was relaxing.

Great park! Sadly, it will be closed for a while so that a berm can be built (at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars) to protect the adjoining neighborhood from the ravages of global warming induced flooding.

My fiancée and I come here every other weekend, enjoy the water and lights and bring takeout to enjoy by the river picnic style and talk for hours. Its perfect!

I have to say..I lived in this area and the park is amazing place to enjoy picnics, play softball, amphitheater hear music and just scrolling But due to Hurricane Sandy 2012.. the park had to be shut down 2020. They have to raise the walls. Leveling the beans of some sort. It would prevent future flooding. Sadden me to see all those beautiful trees cut down. What a lost of oxgen.. they really don't understand what roll trees really play. Take a visit to this park sometime in the near future to see the end result because right now it filled with cut trees and trucks & barriers.

It would not be a trip to NYC if I did not have a few walks along the East River during my visit. The joggers and people enjoying the park with their dog. All the air traffic overhead be it a sea plane taking off or a commercial flight going to LGA. There are many kinds of boats to watch. My favorite are the fishermen who stand at the railing with their many fishing poles. I find it to be very relaxing and interesting. Enjoy some food on one of their many tables or benches.

The fields are a nice escape from the streets however I wish that they would open the walking path so that you can walk further south without taking a detour.

The rooms are small but it is New York City. The toilet keeps running every 4 minutes or so. Don't know where it's leaking at but it's running somewhere. Maintenance has already looked at it couldn't find the leak. It's not a bad place to stay but I think I'd check something different next time. Oh and forget about having a restaurant or breakfast or anything like that.
