I arrived with super high expectations and most were all met! The host is super professional and courteous. Our reservation was for a party of four, but half the party was running late. We were assured that they will do their best to accommodate us and were guided to the bar for drinks. The Peace for Ukraine is a great drink itself and they are donating $10 for every drink sold, to relief efforts in Ukraine. Once the entire party arrived, we were promptly seated and ordered the Butcher’s Feast for four, the oysters with caviar from east and west coast, and lots of drinks. Everything was great, our waiter was attentive and great. I will say that those responsible for the changing of the dishes/utensils appeared to be new or could use better training in terms of handling the food instead of handling the meat or the dishes. There were several occasions I thought my plate was going to fly off the table. I would come back here if I was craving Cote, but there are certainly other options out there that are easier to get reservations at. The price is certainly fair and on the cheaper end. If seafood options were added, Cote will be a game changer. Overall, it was a good meal. I want to try the outdoors dining next time, although; you’d steak is cooked outside.

It took a while to get a reservation but Cote is well worth the wait. Ambiance, amazing service and incredible food. My wife booked us a reservation for four on a Tuesday night. I highly recommend ordering the Butchers Feast if you’re with a group of 4+. Great variety of meats. We also ordered the Korean Bacon and Kobe beef. Kobe beef was good but the serving size hardly makes it worth while ($75/oz). Meat is cooked perfectly to your liking directly in front of you. Staff is incredibly attentive and informed. The ice cream at the end is the perfect ending. One of the best Korean BBQ experiences I’ve had in NYC.

Loved our experience at Cote. The restaurant was very energetic and vibe-y and the service was excellent. From John the host through to Cameron the bartender and Amir our waiter, we were very well taken care of. The staff were friendly and the food and drinks were exceptional. We did the Butcher’s Feast, which was a perfect sampling of various different cuts of steak, all of which were beautifully tender and flavourful. The side dishes were also all very tasty and complemented the balanced flavour of the meat, which was allowed to shine without too many sauces or help from spices. Definitely recommend and would absolutely go back!

The staff grilled the meat incorrectly and took it back to the kitchen. After a while, they brought another piece of meat and grilled it, but the heat was so low that it took too long to cook. The kimchi stew tasted so strange that I couldn't eat it, and the side dishes weren't all that tasty. The overall cluttered atmosphere made it difficult to eat comfortably. But the meat was tender and good.

Best Korean bbq restaurant ever. By far. Service was impeccable. Dry-aged beef was beyond delicious. Vibe was eloquent and vibrant. Of course this dining experience comes at a steep price. But Cote is unlike many gimmicky Michelin star rated modern Korean restaurant. Totally worth it and highly recommend for special occasions.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place before. Get the steak and eggs. It’s not what you think. It’s caviar on top of steak meat with the softest butteriest bread on the side. I miss eating it just thinking about it. The drinks were cool too. We ate in the outdoor/indoor dining on a day of torrential rain. And the cover we had held up so not so bad. I forgot what else I ate that day but I’ll never forget that steak and eggs.

Well deserving of their Michelin star! Everything from beginning to end is incredible. The Korean Bacon is delicious and melts in your mouth. The paella is crispy and full of flavor. The highlight for us was the Butcher's feast. This feast is incredible, four different cuts of meat all are so unique and delicious, with various sides that are just as unique. Our server, Noelle, really made our experience one to remember. She walked us through everything and shared some of her favorite combinations of meat and side to elevate the already delicious food. The soy sauce Caramel ice cream at the end was so delightful and a perfect way to close the feast. Highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back!

Cocktails were fantastic. I got the one washed with MSG, which I initially thought would be odd, but was refreshing and tasty. Would get again. The meal was amazing. Being Korean, I didn't have high hopes, as I've been burned by these fancy, new, fusion type restaurants in the past with experimental dishes that don't taste nearly as good as the original. Appreciate the effort, but sometimes it's just not good. However, Cote actually stuck a lot closer to traditional than I thought. All the side dishes and stews were very traditional flavors and each one was done so well. Even the red bean paste was noticeably good, better than what you typically buy straight from the store. Kind of odd to have such high quality meats with these traditional ways to enhance lower quality meats, but it was new and the options and combinations were fun to play with.

COTE Korean Steakhouse boasted a vibrant atmosphere around the bar. Initially, our first server, who was also cooking our food, was fantastic. He provided clear explanations with a touch of humor. However, when he left, another server took over, and unfortunately, his approach was rather dull. In my opinion, seating plays a crucial role in the overall dining experience. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of amazing. The meat was delicious, and the banchan (side dishes) were enjoyable. Despite some variations in service, the overall experience at COTE was positive.

My first NYC Michelin star experience, and one of the best meals I’ve had in my life! The meat quality is amazing, and cooked to perfection right in front of you. Definitely recommend the Butcher’s feast for anyone trying for the first time, or the steak omakase if you’re willing to spend a bit more. The Korean bacon (Pork Belly) is probably the best pork belly I’ve ever tasted, it literally melts in your mouth. 11/10 Reserve ASAP because this place almost never has open tables…

We sincerely enjoyed our time at COTE. Our servers provided great recommendations on not only what to order, but how to pair our meats. We ordered the grand tour and it was totally worth it. All the cuts were delicious. The atmosphere of COTE is upbeat and trendy while serving amazing food. The best part was the service, everyone, even the hostess, new how to prepare the meat. Would highly recommend.

Wow!!! If you like beef, this place needs to be on your list. The beef here is beyond compare and without a doubt the best I’ve had at a Korean steakhouse. Just order the butcher’s feast, sit back, and enjoy. Oh and definitely throw in the A5 wagyu supplement. You’ll thank me later. All the cuts were superb and perfectly cooked at the table by the well-trained servers. All the banchan was really good too, including a couple I hadn’t had before. Along with the meat, we also ordered the paella which was also excellent. On a return trip (and I’ll definitely return here) I’d just make a couple edits. I’d skip the cocktails which were a bit average and stick to wine. And I’d skip the appetizers - while the steak and eggs was a nice bite, in the end it was indulgent and unnecessary with all the other food.

Confusion with the reservation process but altogether it was the best experience we've ever had. Service was fantastic, staff was professional but seated us despite getting our reservation wrong. They should improve their reservation process but the party of 3 was odd so I understand. Tried many places around the city and this has got to be my #1 so far. Food was absolutely fantastic, meat cuts were delicious. Portions were perfect. Mushrooms and side dishes were fresh, from the beginning til the end (felt like a work of art rather than the consumption of food) . Bathrooms were amazing too. Felt like a 5 star hotel with plush tissues and ambient lighting was imperative in setting the mood for the rest of the dining experience. We also got the dinner special , lamb chops from Colorado 24 a pop but it was worth it! So fresh and luscious ! Blown away by the fat. Every dish contrasted with each other in harmony. It was definitely a story that was being told throughout the whole process. The well trained waiters knew exactly where and when to pick up in terms of cooking the meat for us. Lastly, price was reasonable for a party of 3 , Will be coming back!

Really good steakhouse quality for the price. Really good service. A bit clubby than restaurant. Three of us had the Butcher Fest and added the COTE steak. The variety of beef cuts and traditional Korean side dishes were amazingly delicious. The hostess, servers, the bartenders, and the manager were all very professional, courteous, and friendly. It is rare that all staff has such high standards in NYC restaurants nowadays. There are other dishes on the menu that we didn’t try but will certainly next time Now I will only come here for Korean BBQ instead of Korean town.

Fantastic experience start to finish. We got the butcher’s feast, and while it’s not cheap, it’s definitely amazing value for what you get. The paella was a surprise star, there was a creamy sauce mixed in that was divine. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Jason is so nice and welcoming! Went here with my coworkers this week and LOVED it. The best meat I've had at kbbq and probably ever will have in that context. Everything we ate was delicious and the servers were great. Was cool to see the meat aging room downstairs and the bar is a cool vibe. Will say it's not the biggest space so definitely check your coat or book bag when you come in.

Delightful evening. Fresh produce, fresh flavors, everything up to standard. Staff is amazing, cocktails are OUT of this world. Would recommend for an special evening with your loved ones. The service doesn't feel rushed either so take your time and eat peacefully. Some booths dont have back-rest and that come with the possibility of gazing your back with another guest which is extremely unpleasant. I would change that. Kudos to the chef, great experience

These folks do it well. We’ve been coming here since they opened, and the whole experience is top notch. It’s mandatory to get a reservation, so plan ahead. The food is upscale (and the price shows), but if you’re treating your special someone for a special occasion (not the ring question!), this is honest, safe bet.

I came here for a birthday event with my friends and I thought the meats that they gave was too small portioned for 5 people but it was perfect for all of us. The waiters were very nice and attentive! The dessert they gave at the end was very good!

I never leave reviews ever but I had to for this place because it was the best experience I've ever had. As soon as I entered and checked in almost all the staff knew it was my birthday and wished me a happy birthday! Absolutely crazy and sweet that they knew. Cote made me feel very special. Everyone was extremely nice and always checked up on us. The food was AMAZING. If you're a meat lover, you'll absolutely love this place. The best meat I've ever tasted- super tender and so flavorful, the meat literally melts in your mouth. I definitely will be back at Cote's in the future.

I was really hyping this place up and boy did it not disappoint. Get the butcher's dinner and you will be so fat and happy. Absolutely delicious highly recommend the kimchi fried rice too. Only thing I would say is inside it is very loud and dark which may not be for everyone

Cool spot with tasty meat cooked at your table. We tried the Butchers Feast ($65 pp) and comfortably got through it all. The paella and hanger steak were delicious. It was busy for sure and has a funky vibe. Great cocktails and big wine list.

The waiters are incredibly nice. The eastern oysters were amazing I'd definitely order them again. The Korean Bacon as well with the jalapeños were great. As for the meat itself I had hoped we had more flavors instead of lettuce and a steak sauce but it was delicious as well. The Master Bandit drink is incredible I had 3 myself

Probably the most grand and tastiest steakhouse I have ever been to. All the different cuts of meat just melts into my mouth. Especially the Kobe beef 😛😍 I have never tasted beef this fresh before. We ended up paying around $250 a person but we also had wine with it. In the end, I think the price was pretty justifiable! I 10/10 will recommend my friends to go there to celebrate birthdays but one sad thing is the reservation was super duper hard to make!!

This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in NYC! The small prefix menu had more than enough food for each person. The quality of each meat was so great, it was melting in my mouth. Definitely one of the best korean bbqs I’ve ever had. Service was great and the atmosphere is typical korean bbq restaurant with a grill on the tables, but u don’t cook the meat yourself, the staff does that for you. Reservations are a bit hard to get at this restaurant but def worth it.

What an incredible find! We ate here on our last night in NYC and it was perfect. It’s difficult to get a booking here, especially if you’re just two people so we could only get the outside cabanas booking weeks before. I thought the cabanas would be cold but it was actually perfect, warm and really romantic. We got the butchers feast and the food was out of this world. We were served by a nice lady from Sweden who took her time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. An absolutely perfect experience from start to finish.

Cote was on my bucket list for a long time. And fortunately, I was able to make a last-minute reservation on a special day. Everything was immaculate. Food was outstanding and service was even better! I loved that the side dishes got complimentary refills. I am usually not a fan of super fancy restaurants because they tend to not focus on making the food great. Instead, they focus on a “fancy” experience and then slap a hefty price tag on mediocre food. But not Cote! This place absolutely deserves its Michelin star!

COTE is definitely a top notch Korean BBQ in NYC. Reservations were hard to get, so keep trying! It’s worth it. The meat was so tasty, each bite melted in my mouth. The fried rice in the clay pot was delicious. The drinks were top shelf and the service was outstanding. Pricey but worth the splurge.

Cote is hands down the best Korean steakhouse I have ever been to. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the modern and sleek design of the restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu was full of mouthwatering options, and I had a hard time deciding what to order. In the end, I went with the Butcher’s Feast and it did not disappoint. The meat was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, and the sides of pickled vegetables and ssamjang dipping sauce added an extra kick of taste. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the grilling service. It was such a unique and interactive experience, and made the dinner feel special and memorable. Overall, I highly recommend Cote for anyone looking for top-notch Korean BBQ in a chic and modern setting. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.

It was extremely hard to make an appointment but it was all worth it. My friends and I had outdoor table. I was worried about that but it turned out even better! Very private. Great wine choices and of course super high quality meats. Had a beef tartare for appetizer, chef’s feast added more Japanese wagyu meat, and fried rice. All the foods and wine were fantastic. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 highly recommend.

My time at Cote was excellent. Cote is truly an experience not just a meal! We had cocktails and the Butchers feast which was a great way to sample several cuts of meat with all the Korean BBQ accoutrements. Our server was very attentive and accommodating to my dietary restrictions as well!

Got the “Butcher’s Feast” for two. The meat quality was extremely good, and I enjoyed how they took care of all the grilling. Out of the 4 cuts that came with the set, the American Wagyu was the best while the Galbi was a little too sweet for my preferences. The amount of food was perfect too!

  • 5/5 LD C. 2 years ago on Google
Awesome. The Butcher's Feast is the way to go. Staff is friendly and even sitting outside the vibe was fun. Drinks awesome and the sides and preparation was superb.

Cote was so good and we are already anticipating our next visit back! Besides the good food, our server, Amer, made it such an enjoyable experience. The fish of the day, black bass, was perfectly cooked and the guys enjoyed their omakase experience! Amer cooked the meats perfectly, he was super entertaining and it was the perfect meal!
