I will start by saying that this was one of my favorite lunch spots before covid. Just went back for the first time in 3 years today. The experience was absolutely terrible. First of all, the lady on the counter was rushing us to take the order even though there was no line behind us or anything. We waited 10 minutes for the food, the momos were hot but the tikke roll was completely cold and the chicken inside was cold as well. I returned it because i thought it was a mistake that it was probably made hours ago and served to me. It turnes out all the rolls were pre-made to save time and they usually heat them on a metal counter and just happened to forget to heat mine !!!! I made the mistake to ask for it to be heated up, waited few minutes, then recieved the SAME roll that was still cold, not heated at all !!! I returned to the counter giving them back the roll and demanding a refund. A different employee was working the counter and told me they made a mistake again putting it on the "cold counter". I asked for the refund nonetheless. The veg momos ( we wanted the chicken momos originally but they ran out) were terrible! Very thick and dry from the outside with undersalted tiny amount of stuffing. We threw half of them out because as they got colder during the tikka roll debacle, they were inedible. The green chutney was more brown and tasted off. The mango lassie tasted very artificial.

The place is great for a quick bite of Indian fast food. There is a limited menu (which is good) however not many options for my vegetarian friends. We ordered the chicken Tikka and Shammi Kebab, the taste was great however, I found the kebab to be a little dry. Earlier the rolls used to be filled till the top now I see that the filling has reduce. The staff was nice and the place was decently clean with a washroom.

This used to be my go to place when I was working in the city for lunch a few years back. I am currently visiting nyc and wanted to try this out as it’s been a long time. The taste has been maintained but they still don’t give anything as a side for free which is a bit odd to understand especially as they are charging 7$ for a single roll.

We tried the paneer and chicken kathi roll here. And we tried the veg momos too. And kathi rolls as well as momos were way below expectations. The service was so damn slow. We waited for more thn 40 mins for our order to get prepared. The seating is not proper. The table on which we kept our food was literally standing on 2 legs. And the overall hygiene is a myth for this place. The whole place is not maintained properly. Won’t recommend it to anyone.

Kati roll company has Tasty food but the portions are small. Almost all rolls cost around 8 bucks but these are tiny rolls. We have had tikka rolls, paneer achari roll and Chana masala roll. All of them were amazing. Masala chai though didn’t have any masala or taste in it and it’s not worth spending money on that. Interior is classic and takes you down the Bollywood memory lane but not very clean. Overall for the taste highly recommend. Enjoy eating desi bites :)

Amazing Kathi rolls. Staff was very nice and overall both chicken tikka and lamb rolls were too good. Must try when in NYC

I will start off positively, saying that the food tastes good. However, the service is beyond horrible especially around lunch time. There was only 1 person working the counter, and she was not even trying to serve people quickly. Also had a bit of an attitude (most likely due to being overworked) but still… management needs to hire more employees. Can not recommend going to this place for lunch.

We ordered masala chai, Achari paneer kathi roll, egg chicken kathi roll, steamed vegan momos and semi fried vegan momos. Everything was so good and we would love to come back to this place whenever we visit to New York again. Must try.

    1. Street parking is there but in newyork it is difficult to find street parking 2. Dine in is available, but because of huge demand it is bit crowded. 3. Unda egg roll was tasty 4. Limited options for drinks. 5. Service was on time. Not too delayed but not to early also. ( depends on the crowd)

I got the Unda Chicken Roll and the Chicken Tikka Roll. The Unda Chicken Roll was fantastic, the chicken was juicy and seasoned to perfection, and paired perfectly with the egg and onions. Definitely the best thing on the menu in my opinion. The Chicken Tikka Roll was good but compared to the Unda Chicken Roll it was kind of average, it was mainly chicken and spices that you could taste and not much else. The mango lassi was sweet and delicious, and helped to clean my palate of all the spicy food. It was pretty busy when we were there but that seems to always be the case. Our wait time wasn't too bad, we got our food in about 10 minutes. The place is currently under renovation so there's a huge piece of drywall missing by the entrance, it's not the most pleasing thing to look at but it's understandable, they've got to keep making money after all.

Heard a lot of positive reviews for this place to have the best kathi rolls. But this has disappointed to say the least. The rolls were dry and not really tasty. The Mango lassi was good but again not the best.

Nice place to stop for some kathi roll which is quite near to the taste at home. We tried the Aloo masala, unda chicken, paneer aachari and chole roll. Didn't like the chole one as it was way to dry. Rest all tasted good. Liked the unda chicken from a non veg point of view and aachari paneer from the veg palate. Yes definitely worth stopping here some evening snacks. Just wish the service was a little quicker, with the number of staff they had the service seemed slower.

It is pricey! We paid around $35 for 2 rolls, momos and drinks. Rolls were smaller than we thought. We got Chicken tikka rolls, and we liked only the wrap. Some part of the chicken were little burnt. We didn’t taste the sauce, wasn’t tasty enough. Also, tried the fried chicken momos which did not have any taste, we couldn’t finish it, momos was ready earlier than rolls and it waited in the counter more than 10 mins. Maybe not important but one of the employees was blocked the restrooms maybe more than 20 mins, so we couldn’t use the restroom before eating. I believe that you can find better Indian fast food place, for example, we were more happy with Deep India.

The taste of Kathi rolls is amazing but its not maintained well inside for the dine in. The restaurant has some smell which is not comfortable to sit and eat. Rolls were amazing but the carrot halwa bites were average. Not upto the mark. Was sooo excited coming to this place but its just one time visit if you are big fan of kathi roll.. Suggestion: take it out and have it somewhere in bryant park or nearby place

I think this is an amazing late-night quick bite to eat. It’s not the most amazing food I’ve ever had, but it definitely hit the spot and I was satisfied. I had a variety of flavors of the Kati rolls as well as the dumplings and everything was pretty good. If you’re hungry and nearby, I recommend this over whatever random fast food spot you’d go to instead.

Perfect for a quick and light dinner. I had the vegetarian rolls with paratha as the choice of bread and they were yummy! Chai is good. The wall decor was picturesque :)

Not to be missed if you are into the 'desi' style kati rolls The fillings are served inside traditional Indian style plain paratha, just like they would do back in Mumbai or Delhi. The Unda Chicken Roll is their signature dish and we'll worth it. The size of the rolls is not huge and a hungry person can easily munch down 2 of them. The pre-packed Mango Lassi was pretty good too. Its not a huge place and on my last few visits to this place, it has almost always been crowded with a wait of about 15-20 mins to get my order, so keep that in mind

Located downtown, offers a taste of authentic Indian street food that's sure to impress. The menu boasts a variety of options, from classic Chicken Tikka Rolls to vegetarian delights like Paneer Tikka Rolls. Each dish is bursting with flavor, expertly balanced with tangy sauces and crispy accompaniments. We also had the mango lassi which was super delicious!! although super crowded, the ambiance is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall dining experience. With its delicious offerings and impeccable service, a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of India's culinary delights.

I arrived at 12:38 pm and had to wait for a full 20 minutes just to place my order. My order time was marked as 12:58 pm, which was already a lengthy wait, but it only got worse from there. To my disappointment, after 20 minutes of waiting, I was informed that they had run out of chicken. This was rather surprising, as chicken is one of the most common items on their menu. It would greatly improve the customer experience if they could display a sign at the entrance indicating which menu items are unavailable, allowing patrons to make informed choices from the start. My order for a lamb roll and spicy potato chips finally arrived at 1:37 pm, which meant it took a staggering 39 minutes to prepare. During this lengthy wait, chaos seemed to prevail in the restaurant. People were growing impatient, constantly inquiring about their orders, and crowding around the countertop. What was most concerning was the rolls left exposed on the counter without any protective covering, with customers standing uncomfortably close to them. The lamb roll I ordered was a mixed experience. While I appreciated the abundant use of herbs and spices, the texture of the lamb felt more like a lamb paste than actual slices or pieces, which was a letdown. On the bright side, the spicy potato chips were enjoyable. This visit doesn't leave me inclined to return anytime soon. Perhaps during off-peak hours to give the chicken option a try, but overall, they need to work on their service efficiency and customer experience.

Great cheap & quick to-go indian food! I had steak tikka roll in paratha. The flat bread was crunchy, filled with seasoned beef cubes & fresh red onions. Just the perfect level of spicy! There were vegan & vegetarian menus as well. Almost all rolls were priced around $4-$8. I came at lunch time, was quite a queue, and had to wait around 10mins to get my order. Staff counters were nice. Would come back to try other menus.

Delicious! I had never had Indian food in a roll like this. I got the Achari Paneer Roll acne the Chicken Tikka Roll (I preferred the tikka one but both were still good). My biggest piece of advice is to order 2+ because they are definitely on the smaller side. The masala chai was also a nice touch!

The food is really, really good and so is the decor. The service is a bit slow. The Chai is a must-try as it gives you an authentic flavor of Indian Masala Chai. The Kati Rolls with egg and chicken are a taste of home. Loved going to this place.

The wait is kinda long for this place but it’s worth it. The channa masala roll is very tasty and the unda roll is almost as good. I would recommend getting the green or red chutney with these if you like spicy flavors. The prices aren’t bad at all for the location either. Momos were solid too.

Enjoyed the whole experience and had a great time. I ordered the shami kabab roll and the unda (egg) chicken roll, both were really good. I loved the bread they use for the rolls, it is close to the ones used in Kolkata. The rolls are freshly made and taste is good but the only thing that i can add to this is a little more flavour to the fillings. I will return to try other items on the menu.

On my second visit here, I had high expectations, but unfortunately, it didn't meet them. The Kathi rolls were just average, and despite trying a variety of them, nothing stood out as special. The fried chicken monos were delicious, but the vegan monos were quite disappointing. We had to wait for 40 minutes to get our order at 11 PM on a Sunday evening, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, the food was just average, so if you're looking to cross it off your list, you can visit once, but the wait might not be worth it otherwise.

This place used to be great. The rolls used to be amazong. But recently they are drier, no sauces in the roll makes it harder to gulp it. It user to be much better.

Good roll!! Momos are yummy. For vegetarians, unda paneer snd chana masala are very good rolls. I somehow did not like achari paneer roll. It was not achari at all. paneer tasted so bland in that. The other 2 had good flavor.

We went to the Kati roll at 49 W 39th St, New York, NY 10018 The staffs were very cordial and the service was great We tried the unda chicken roll and the shammi kabob roll Highly recommend the unda chicken roll We did brunch and also take out for dinner too The place was a little cramped up but ideally most of the folks were doing take outs Definitely a great place that reminds us of the chicken. Tried this place for the first time yesterday and right away knew we found something special. The place was totally slammed and extremely packed. However, all the best places in NYC are! The food was so good when I was halfway through I ordered another round for the family to go!! Amazing! We love it and can’t wait to go back! The downside? It certainly takes forever to place an order and get the food. Highly recommend ordering pick up to save time. Making matters worse there was a scuffle in the back and the ONE cashier was the only one to solve the problem… this added 20 minutes to the wait and let the line wrap around outside. That honestly makes no sense at all. Maybe one of the other 8 employees? All the same amazing food but maybe better to order pick up to save massive amounts of time. On a side note, some of the customers added to the wait adding one of everything from the menu and then not being sure what they wanted after a 20 minute wait to get to there.

Roll was good and momo was great. Not sure why they don’t have an indoor dining yet? Recommend as the closest one to Kolkata rolls.

This place is like a shack but not too shabby. The roll over here is delicious. Have them add chutney in the roll else it will feel in the dry side while eating. You can always ask them to give chutney on side. If you like spicy, have extra peppers added into the roll otherwise it is very mild but flavorful. That currently do not allow sitting inside but they do have a small shack on the street for now and couple tables with chairs on side walk. Over I enjoyed their roll and definitely coming back.

I been there on Saturday night , though the price look good and food looks good too , didn’t taste it though as they had 45 mins after waiting for 20 minutes in queue . So we had to go some other place . Some friends have good feedback so we came to give a try . That why I have them 4 star

Good place to grab lunch. Very busy during lunch hours. From ordering to getting food takes about 20-25 minutes. Better to put the order via phone or online, and do pick up. They have variety of rolls, both veg and non-veg. I like the unda paneer roll more than chicken tikka roll. I still haven’t tried the keema roll yet. Usually I need two rolls for my lunch. I am mostly happy with the roll ingredients but feel like they should add more sauce. Their mango lassi is also pretty good. Two rolls and lassi cost ~$20. There’s not much sitting space inside but there’s a tent outside the store. Food taste - 4/5 Food prep time- 4/5 Price - $$$ Unda paneer roll - 5/5 Chicken tikka roll - 4/5

Great Rolls. Good Service Speed. Amazing food and good drinks.. Definitely recommend the egg chana roll and tell them to make it crispy. 😋

Food was great. I order pick up so it was fast and the lady helpful get me extra smoothie and potatoes instead of I have to line up a pretty long line. Very helpful to answer that the sauces is include bc it's my first time. I have the Shami (lamb). May be chicken would be better since lamb a bit too smash? May be with extra other sauces would be better. It taste great nonetheless. Good atmosphere. Music bit loud but nice choice. The mango smoothie is definitely a must tried. Their chips is 7/10.
