Overall a solid hotel choice for a pretty fair price. Room was a good size and very comfortable. We were on the 26th floor, which had a great view overlooking some of Times Square. Service was friendly and helpful for the most part. Towards the latter end of our 7 night stay, we returned to our room to find a cockroach crawling along the bathroom wall. We alerted the front desk attendant and asked if we could switch rooms, but she said the only room available would've been on the 4th floor. We decided against moving as we felt that being closer to ground level would've made cockroach encounters more likely. The cockroach appeared again on our last morning before we checked out. I imagine it was probably in and out of our room regularly during our stay. The cockroach encounter made me seriously question the cleanliness of the space and made the latter portion of our stay quite a bit less comfortable.

Nice hotel, a little tired in places. It’s a good location with regard to its proximity to Times Square. However, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due it being across from Penn Bus Terminal. Even being up on the 12 floor (which happens to be level with the roof top parking lot) doesn’t really mask the noise from the bus terminal. We were woken at 5:30am every morning when diesel engines and the horns from the buses would start firing up. If you’re used to getting up early you’ll be fine here, but if after a long day walking New York you’re hoping for a lay in the next day your not going to get it.

My niece and I stayed here this past week for her 21st birthday. The night before our arrival I received an email asking what time to expect us so they could do their best to have our room ready. I responded we were boarding our redeye and would be arriving at 9am. I had very little hope of checking in so early but when we arrived the front desk got us right into our room on the 23rd floor. The room was very spacious, had a view and had a refrigerator (which is beyond rare in nyc). We were able to get unpacked and take a nap before we began our trip. The location is close to multiple subway lines and to a lot of activities. So even though it was snowing it was very easy to get to and from our hotel. We requested extra pillows that were brought to us with minutes and even when my niece asked for dressing for her pizza she got from Joe's, the front desk went to the back and got her some even though we didn't once order food from the hotel. They were so sweet and kind anytime we saw them or had a question. We enjoyed very strong drinks at the bar as well and the bartender was very friendly. And when we brought our luggage down to be picked up from Tote Taxi, the front desk made us feel much better about our pieces going to the right pick up person. Overall this was a 5 star stay and I was not expecting that. I was on a budget on this trip so I had assumed the hotel would be a rough stay but honestly it was nicer than some other hotels I have paid more for. I will absolutely be back and I'm so happy with how special the staff made my niece and I feel. It really was a nice little home for the 4 nights we were there.

Excellent hotel ! Excellent location ! Full value for your money ! Very friendly staff. Very efficient. Very professional. This is to mention receptionist name Geancarlo that gave a very good service, very fast, very polite, with a professional attitude. Breakfast is good, with free buffet eat as much as you can. Rooms are nice and clean. Good heating during winter. Housekeeping is great. We had problems with the coffee machine. A maid came to our room and solved it quick. Very good internet connection. Although this is a 4 stars hotel= it gives 5 stars service. I give this hotel 5 stars. I recommend this hotel. Full value for your money. 15 February 2024

This hotel was perfectly located with only a few minutes walk to Times Square, Bryant Park, and much more. I was in a room with a King sized bed and it was perfect for me. I was actually surprised how spacious it was after reading some reviews and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. They will also securely hold your luggage if you arrive early or stay after check out time. Breakfast is very good but it does cost about $30 plus fees. Plenty of places to charge phones or other electronic devices in the room. Makeup removal towlettes were the best I ever used. Would absolutely recommend.

Stayed here for a week, and it was great! The location was awesome (just minutes away from Times Square). I've read complaints about noise because of proximity to the bus terminal, but it's not something my fiance and I noticed. I wouldn't mind staying here again in the future, though I do wish there were more parking options

During our stay at Four Points Sheraton over the bustling Christmas period in New York, Ron, Monica, Kevin, and the entire team impressed us with their exceptional customer service. Despite the holiday rush, they worked diligently to secure two rooms close together for us. What truly stood out was the genuine care demonstrated by Monica and Kevin. While waiting in the lobby, we witnessed their kindness towards an elderly woman without a reservation. Instead of turning her away, they treated her with utmost respect, patiently answering her questions and even offering her water and a piece of fruit during the busy time. This not only showcased their dedication to customer service but also added a heartwarming touch to our experience. Moreover, the entire team's commitment to creating a positive atmosphere was evident throughout our stay. From the booking process to the thoughtful gestures, we highly recommend the team at Four Points Sheraton for their outstanding service and genuine hospitality.

3.5 / 5 The Four Points has a friendly staff and the rooms were clean. These are always key to a good stay. The rooms are predictably on the smaller side - typical for NYC. Beds were comfortable. AC was very loud when it went on and off. Decor was a bit dated, and my room had was in need of some paint touch ups. Furniture had some damage and there was damage on some of the walls. I had a lower floor, so a view of a side building instead of a good view of mid-town. Your breakfast option is a $22 buffet, which is a great value but I only wanted a bagel and so went down the street. I paid over $320 per night with tax, so part of my rating is based on value.

Great hotel! Everyone is friendly and so helpful. Doormen are friendly, aware and helpful to your needs. Rooms are clean and good hot water showers. 1 Block from times square with pizza places on each corners, grab and go convenient store, and walgreens within the same block. Bar tender makes a great strong drink! I had to leave early and when I called the manager back once I returned home, he knew exactly what I needed and had already taken care of the situation for me and email me the information. I have worked customer service for years and the people at this hotel know what their doing. Great price for the area.

This hotel was very disappointing. It felt very budget from the second we walked into the lobby. We rode the elevator up to our floor and I have never seen hallways so tiny. The hotel overall is generally very musty, dark and dingy. After getting to our room, we decided to immediately switched hotels. I could not have imagined staying there for even one night. The location is definitely close to Times Square, but if felt kind of sketchy. So glad we went elsewhere. It was not significantly more money to do so.

Really nice hotel in a great location for a reasonable price. Front desk service and check in was very personable, informative, fast and easy. Our room had a great view and was quite clean---hallways, foyer, etc. a little less so. High traffic area, obviously, but no noise to speak of in our room except a bit from the elevator. Excellent location. Reached the heart of Times Square in less than 10 minutes walking. Ten minute Uber ride to Penn Station, maybe fifteen-20 if you walk it. Starbucks right across the street. Def recommend for travelers looking for something nice in NYC that won't break the bank.

It was 9am, and we needed a place to stay a night near the Port Authority Bus Terminal. FP is just across the street. The staff were warm and helpful and tried hard to get us the best rate. Since we were leaving so early the next day and would not be able to take advantage of the included breakfast buffet, we were given a voucher for our check-in date. Thank goodness the room on the 18th floor was ready and we could drop our luggage and then enjoy that huge spread. After a long walk around nearby Times Square and the Theatre district we grabbed supper at one of many handy options. Then we turned in and slept like babies before we had to leave the next day. The room was small but efficient. There was a safe, iron & board, coffee & tea service, water, cups, soap, shampoo, conditioner, make-up removal pads, hair dryer, and plenty of towels. We lacked nothing. I highly recommend this establishment.

Hotel and room was great. We got into town early and thought we would get them to check our bags until we could check in. Surprisingly, our room was already available and we were able to check in right away. The room was nice and it was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. $21 for breakfast that is free elsewhere was easy to take a pass on. Everything in town was easily accessible from this hotel. Would stay here again even though it's a little seedy a few feet up the street from the hotel entrsnce.

The room was clean, nice and comfortable. But, there was either a closed or completely missing and falsely advertised rooftop boar. We were on the 5th floor so our view out of the window was the Port Authority Bus Terminal. A higher floor room would've been nice.

Staff at check in was excellent! Great customer service. I loved the fruit water and the staff went above and beyond on the pm shift to get me a larger cup. I will definitely visit this location again. Close to many attractions

Very nice clean classic hotel room. Could not adjust room temperature. Elevator buttons were scratched as if it was a very old building (it is not). Room windows were dirty from outside. Location is convenient but visually unpleasant (facing the back wall of the bus station). Lobby is small. Ok for the price but not a very good deal.

The entrance and lobby is cute and quaint. Although the staff seemed kind, hotel protocols/policies are too rigid and almost illogical in bookings. This hotel was one of the cheaper options on the Hopper app at $220/night. The rooms themselves definitely look worn and the metal rail for the bathroom door plus the metal inside the actual bathroom, showed signs of rust. The air was also not great and the tissue box provided to me in the room had some toilet paper stuffed inside at the top. The other tissues were damp and had liquid drops on it, which was concerning. In addition, the air was heavy in the room I was given when using the heater at night. Disappointing stay although it was in a convenient location.

I stayed here with my daughter for the Christmas weekend. I felt for the location and room size it was a bit overpriced. But I understand with the location being right down the block from Port Authority I can see why. But then again there was 2 more chain hotels next door to it and also the New York City Department of Corrections Services directly next door (that was a bit unnerving. Check in was seamless but I noticed we had ear plugs on the night stand which had me concerned since I was already trying to escape noise from my noisy Brooklyn apartment the last thing I wanted to deal was noise during my stay. But the noise was from the sound of the elevator as my room was directly around the corner from it. For such a large hotel 33 floors to only have 3 elevators with a 6 person capacity the wait for elevators was long. I had an issue with the heating one night (this was the coldest weekend thus far) I called the front desk and they said an engineer would come up and I had to call again since it was nearing 11pm and I was tired and I had someone walk me through to get the proper setting. I didn’t see the need for me to keep the room warm the air would come on to cool the room down. Since the curtains don’t close all the way it was a bit drafty and keeping the room warm through the night was key. The hot water was scalding hot enough to burn someone. Our last day was quite annoying when housekeeping started to come around during 9:15am; my daughter was still sleeping at that time. They came around again a second time and I told them no. I then put the do not disturb sign on the door handle and they came around a 3rd time! If check out is as 12pm and it’s my last day I don’t need cleaning at that time. I did complain to the front desk but was just told that this is the time they do come around and was just told they are sorry I was disturbed. I’ve stayed at other Marriott chain hotels but this by far wasn’t the best of experiences for me.

The great. Right outside PABT so easy to get to. Great for events near the Javi's center and the night time of visiting midtown post convention events. I can't say enough about the helpfulness and friendliness if the staff. One of the most helpful people of any Marriott I've stayed st. The rooms aren't the largest but we're clean. Who wants to stay all day and night in a room when in NYC anyway? I'd likely stay here again.

Fairly good location but the room was pretty small. Person at the front desk did not acknowledge my Bonvoy membership. Overall, it was an okay experience considering that I stayed only for about 8 hrs.

Incredible location! Rooms were clean as well as rest of hotel. Amazing staff -- Monica, Kevin and Farrah went above and beyond to make our stay 10/10. Will absolutely stay here again.

This place was real surprise. Not only was the room wonderful and comfy, (Especially for NYC) but the staff.. the STAFF. I can't begin to give enough praise to their staff. Every encounter I had with someone behind the desk was lovely. They were friendly and genuinely seemed happy to help. This includes the after hours staff! The breakfast crew, housekeeping, and bar tenders were equally as helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Nicole L. and Monica C. for helping me solve some last minute conflicts that would have put me in a serious pickle if not resolved.

Outstanding Stay! Even better than the 1st stay back in April :) My boy and I stayed 3 nights a few days ago and I am so happy I decided to go back there! The best part, though, was the staff. The assistance of Jose and Kevin at the reception was invaluable. Thanks to Kevin's clear directions and tips to move around town, we were able to get to Central Park in a heartbeat. The star of the trip was Mr. Rahman Mohammed, who warmly assisted us during breakfast making us feel at home. The view from our room on the 29th floor was out of this world! The distance from Times Square was just perfect, for the right dose of "crazy". Right across from the Port Authority Metro Station, which connects you even offers additional ways to transport you to the airport if you fly into EWR, like we did. There is a delicious Ramen restaurant right on the corner, and pizza, of course! Bryant Park is just a few blocks away, I mean, it does not get any better! Everything is at walking distance.

Four Points by Sheraton is conveniently located near Times Square, but the surrounding area may have some challenges, including a presence of homeless individuals. The room itself is on the smaller side, and the sliding bathroom door is awkward and suspended, leaving a significant 2 cm gap when closed. This is an unacceptable standard considering the high cost of over $300 per night. On the positive side, the bed is exceptionally comfortable, and the room cleanliness is good. The breakfast provided is satisfactory, and the breakfast staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, I'm unsure if I would recommend this hotel due to the room issues and the high price point.

I have near 1400 nights under SPG/Marriott Bonvoy so Ilve stayed in a lot of hotels. The rooms are NY standard, small 🙂. The staff is what makes this place shine, i have met some great staff at the property over the years, but these folks are 100% some of the MOST FRIENDLY I've ever met, the ladies at the front desk and folks in the breakfast were fantastic!

Our stay at the Four Points was outstanding. The service could not be better! Monica, Anton, Abraham, Sebastian, and Kevin were extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was prompt. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I am always looking for the good & not so good. I could not find anything "not good" at the Four Points Sheraton. Here for a weekend trip and from Hello to Thank you for Staying we were treated with courtesy, our room was impeccable, service- when needed- was prompt, and even the water in lobby was ice cold. I mean, who offers bags next to the ice machine any more? They do! ALL the bathrooms were spotless, the buffet coffee was delicious and location was fabulous ( easy in/ out of city). Parking discount was great as well. We were fortunate to use rewards that helped with cost so for us it was even more of a treat, but so long as we can swing it- Four Points Sheraton will be our Go-To when we stay downtown. Thanks much!

Price/value balance and location are great but the staff really need to do something about guests constantly being accosted in front of the hotel. Each time I stepped out of the front door, I was immediately harassed (sometimes aggressively) for money or cigarettes. There has to be some way to better protect the guests even if it is a small street in front. What certainly doesn’t help is a bar, just a few doors down, where „guests“ are openly smoking cannabis (day and night) which, for me, isn’t a problem but, in turn, can lead to the aggressive behavior experienced and also doesn’t make for the best family-friendly environment.

An older hotel but for the location and price point, it’s super worth it. Lovely staff as well! I wouldn’t recommend getting the breakfast. We had it for free and honestly just go out and grab a nice brunch in Chelsea or else where.

Is good for the place but the room isn't the best for the price if you compare others hotel in the same block for the price!!! So compare price!!!

Our 5 night stay was lovely. Great location! Clean room with nice towels and toiletries, ample closet space, coffee in room, free WiFi and a welcoming front desk team. The buffet breakfast is a good deal and Raham and Farrah are exceptional!! The only suggestion would be to provide a microwave in the room.

First of all I must say room was very clean I must say. My wife and I went to the city on business and decided to stay there. There's really some miss communication going on, we did a late checkout..'Management' someone opened my room door without knocking...scary! I looked out my room door and there's someone snooping around...Management did nothing about that

It is a good hotel. I stayed there for a night. Something you need to know is that if you book a hotel " including this one" it would be much better to book days before, if you are intending to stay starting on a weekend. Getting a hotel almost anywhere in NY on a weekend turns out to be quite expensive. The view of the hotel is great. The room I got was not the biggest, but it was comfortable for me. On thing i would like to address is that the toilet was kind of not very clean ( dirty) rather than that. It was a good stay.

So far, so good. All front desk crew are helpful and pleasant to speak with. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but seemed well care for. Good location, we walk everywhere. We had a beautiful view from our room.

Great location and friendly staff. The room was clean and I didn't notice the worn appearance that other reviews mentioned. The room was very small but that's typical of a NYC hotel. The bed was comfortable and even though at checkin they told me housekeeping was every other day, I came back every evening to a made bed and fresh towels in the bathroom. The bathroom had a shower with a glass door but it didn't have a good seal and the bathroom floor was always wet after a shower. I just laid an extra towel on the floor and it wasn't a big deal. I know NYC is noisy in itself so I didn't expect a silent room but there was an odd sound that was concerning me. As I was heading out I recognized the sound as the elevator's notification but my room was what I thought was the farthest from the elevator. Turns out due to design, my wall was against the back of the elevator. Not sure about other rooms but once I figured out what it was, it wasn't that annoying. The breakfast was not worth $21 so if you are not a platinum Marriott member (they get free breakfast) I'd recommend skipping it. If I have another overnight in the city, I would stay here again.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was also pretty polite while to the point which I appreciated a lot. No issues with this hotel and would love to stay there again if I'm ever back in NYC.

Good location, my interaction with the staff was always pleasant. The bed was big and comfortable. The blackout curtain was a life saver :). The room was clean and cozy. The bathroom seemed remodeled (walk in shower instead of bathtub), modern looking and clean. Spent three nights. The room was on the 23rd floor.

Overall, a good hotel. Clean room, everything in good condition. Excellent price for being a midtown hotel. Elevators were nice and fast. Convenient location to where I needed to be and good subway access. Didn't eat any meals here, there's plenty of good restaurants nearby.

  • 4/5 Derrie L. 1 year ago on Google
Very close to Times Square and subway lines, rooms decent sized and staff very helpful. Breakfast was really good value and kept us going until tea/ dinner. Lots of homeless in the area due to the proximity to stations and tourists but not the hotels fault, that's just bug city life! Would recommend for savvy travellers.

The location and price of the hotel were satisfactory, but the room was small and dark, but there was no problem because I only slept. The front desk staff was friendly and especially the breakfast staff's kindness and professionalism were superb. It was a kindness that I had never experienced in America.

Rooms are compact in this hotel and it was difficult to put the suitcase in an open position without blocking the way within the room. However the front office staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had good options. Sam at the bar is very good at conversations. Lots of food options nearby.
